Paulina and Andrew waited patiently in the waiting room as Dayla was being treated for the gun-shot wound. Andrew had several bandages on his face and hands. Jack, Maddie, Danny, Sam, Tucker, Valerie, Jazz, Dani and Dale would be arriving the next day for Dayla.
The doctor then came out and Paulina and Andrew stood up. The doctor then said, "She's going to be okay. She's very lucky she's half-ghost and her healing power was already kicking in to heal most of the damage. It was also lucky that she wasn't shot at very close range, otherwise even with her powers, she could've been a lot worst. She's going to be weak for a while but we'll keep her here for a few days until she's all better."
"Oh thank goodness. Gracias doctor." Paulina said.
"Yes thank you very much." Andrew said, relieved that his girlfriend was going to be okay.
"She's awake and she wants to see you first Andrew." The doctor said. "But please keep the visits short. I want her to rest."
They both nodded and then Paulina said, "Go on in. I'll go see her after you."
Andrew nodded and entered the room, where Dayla was lying down. She smiled tiredly at her boyfriend and said, "Hey."
He walked over and kissed her on the hand as he held it and asked, "Hey baby. How are you feeling?"
"Sore and tired, but alive." Dayla answered.
He then looked down in regret, "I'm so sorry Dayla. I'm so sorry."
"It's okay. It wasn't your fault. You were angry and I understand, but I am so glad you didn't do it. You didn't kill Terri."
"I wanted to…..I felt so much anger, hate and hurt. It was because of Terri that I had to grow up without my dad. He was taken away from my mum and from me. But you were right. If I had done it, I just would've become like her. A monster bent on revenge and I don't ever want to become that. I promise….you'll never see me like that again." Andrew said, kissing her hand again. "Terri is going to prison for life and Mundus Accendo is shut down for good. Marcus is also destroying his programme. It's too dangerous for anyone to use."
"Thank goodness. I think all this has really taught us all something…..but it's also showed me something else." Dayla said.
"What?" Andrew asked.
"It's that no-matter what…..I want to be by your side always, no matter what you go through or what dangers we have to face." Dayla answered.
"I want to do that as well." Andrew said.
Dayla then took a deep breath and took the plunge, "Andrew when we finish college please do something for me…..marry me?"
Andrew's eyes widened in shock, surprise and then awe. He then took a deep breath and said, "Wow! I'm….it's not every day one of the world heroes asks you to marry you?"
Dayla giggled and then said, "Give me an answer when you're ready."
Andrew caressed her cheek and said, "I have my answer now."
Without saying anything else, the two of them kissed each other passionately on the lips confirming Andrew's answer. That someday when they finish college….Dayla Fenton and Andrew Knight would get married.
