A small child by the name of Isabella who is left at the doors of the volturi doors hoping for protection holds alot of mystery and can hold the key to chamging the volturi but may also find that life is complex and full of hidden dangers that lurk in the dark waiting for the right time to attack. 31. Chapter 30

After a long time, Chapter 30 has finally arrived, this chapter of nearly 60,000 words, plenty of editing and proofreading, to ensure its at a standard i was happy with to upload it.

Hope you all enjoy this incredibly long chapter as i have big plans for the next lot of chapters that ive been brainstorming ideas for, with some much needed Jasper/Isabella moments.

I would like to thank everyone who has been following the story so far and those who have recently following it. I would love to thank those who is always leaving me with reviews, which always puts a smile on my face, as it tells me that im on the right track and that its still well liked.

Kouga's older woman - Your very welcome. I'm glad that you love Jasper, and the twins, im sure that your gonna love the twins even more with this chapter that heavily features them.

Jeoliverio - I have noticed all your reviews that you have been leaving for me and I appreciate them all and always look forward to seeing more for this chapter and future chapters too. I always plan to write more, just that it takes me awhile to upload them with how much I reread it to make sure it's perfect and with the growing length of each chapter that I feel needs to be bigger to make it feel justified. Actually it's not the dimension that's causing the growth, it's the new transformation they are going through, to help them later down the line, but also to show their growth as a character. Yes and no, but to answer your question, it will be explained and explored more next chapter as I wanted to give Jane and Alec this chapter, to help build the story up, while next chapter is gonna be concentrated on Isabella quite a bit more.

Chapter 30

Jane POV

Fifteen years ago

After what has only been a couple of weeks since Jasper/ Major took down all three kings in combat, the whole coven has been pulling in double time, training and mastering their gifts with the help of myself and Alec but also Jasper in-between taking care of Isabella, who has growing quite nicely despite only being age of one. Most would say being one years of age is nothing to how old all of us are, being that we are all vampires, but to us three more importantly and even a selection of others we treasure it so much more. Isabella's growth could only increase with every year but the feelings in my own and Alec's bodies have increased to the extent that it's like holding in a bomb inside ourselves that becomes harder and harder to keep contained. Jasper and Heidi have asked us numerous times how we are feeling as they told us that the cracks on our bodies have increased which is probably why the feelings in our bodies have become tougher, so we knew we didn't have much time till this process of our new forms will become a reality.

Sitting in the room shared by myself and my twin Alec, with Heidi, Jasper both attempting to teach Isabelle how to play pat - a - cake, which was amusing watching more Jasper than Heidi, as it was funny seeing his face trying to concentrate to make sure he did the actions while singing along. Isabella like always had a smile on her face with the occasional giggles bursting from her which was just so adorable it was hard not to smile or laugh alongside her, as it felt contagious but the good kind.

During all this I was giving Alec my twin looks trying make sure that we was both on the same page of thinking, as we have had several long discussions together when we have been on our own just reading as much as we could of the tome, as we have known for awhile that we didn't have much time left until we had to sacrifice our stay here to start the next part of our journey. As the tome has told us, that we have managed to keep under wraps so far, that once the pressure gets too much, we released huge amounts of power, of destruction that if not contained properly it can hurt anyone or anything as round us within a proximity mile radius, that we slowly worked out to be the size of that of the city of Volterra. Which we both didn't want to risk despite our reluctance to leave our Isabella so soon after she has been here for only a year.

As Alec finally looked back to me with sadness showing on face, I knew it wouldn't take long for Jasper to pick up on it, and with my timing I was looking to be right with my assumption, "Alec why you feeling sadness at a time like this, when your quite often happy to be spending time with my mate, unless I'm missing something else that you both are not telling me" Jasper asked, just before Alec was gonna respond I chose my moment to speak. "Trust us Jasper it's not being here that makes my twin and myself feel sadness, but that which we know we got to do that is making us feel sad as it's not something we want to do either" I said trying to keep the pain in my voice as far down as I could, "if it's the kings then I can deal with that for you, but I think I can sense it's not the kings that you speak of, am I right?" Jasper asked again, as his gift of empathy was always alert so he could sense hints of a separate emotion when we speak to how we actually feel, which most times I found it snooping but this time it was a relief.

"No your right, it's not the kings but something that we have been dreading for sometime since we have learned of it" Alec said in a calmed voice, "it's best you explain sis" Alec added, looking to me to speak next as we both know that Jasper wasn't the type to interrupt or stop us from explaining as he knew us well enough, to know that when we have something to speak of, to let us finish before responding back. "If I must brother" I sighed, "so we have hit the time where we are due to become our true selves, the only problem is what we have read in the tome, is that we can't stay here to go through this stage unfortunately, so we don't know how long we have to be away until we feel ready to return to our roles, as our dear Isabella's guardians" I said, "the only thing we are sure of is that the destination we are going to for it to happen where it be safe to release the amount of destructive power that won't cause harm to those we do care for, which is why we are telling you three only" Alec added, causing me to scowl at him for saying what I was gonna say, but he just smiled knowing that I didn't hold it against him, which he was right, I don't.

"I'm assuming the destination is that place you both last went to, that almost got you both killed" Heidi being the more worried mentioned, "your right it was the place we almost got killed, which makes it a perfect fit for us to release that much destructive power as a sort of payback, if you wish to call it that, plus in our true forms, we wouldn't have to worry about being almost killed, as this time we are prepared for it, and that new power and abilities we should be fine, we will even bring back a trophy or two to prove it, when we return back to you both" I explained with a smirk, as I really wanted to get back at those creatures for what they almost did to us the last time. "Heidi they will be fine, if I can have faith in them, then you should too" Jasper added without anything else to say, just sending me a wave of trust, which made me smile at him to acknowledge I felt it, as I looked to my brother he also mirrored my smile to show that he got sent the same wave of trust as I did.

A mumbling sound could be heard from Heidi, as I could tell without having Aro's gift of seeing thoughts or Jasper's gift of reading emotions, to know that she wasn't happy about it all, but knew that she had little choice as we would still go without the approval, but that we would be more happy with the approval of our friends before we left to know that we did the right thing. As I turned to look at our dear Isabella she had a frown on her face as neither Jasper or Heidi was playing with her, but what I didn't expect, was that she picked up a wooden block in her hands and throwing it at Heidi's head, which got a response out of Heidi but also bigger response from the rest of us, as we all started laughing while Heidi only rubbed her side of her head, "even though it didn't hurt, it most certainly did surprise me" Heidi said in a cheerful tone as she knew it wasnt intended to hurt but for Isabella to have the attention on her again, "sorry my cheeks monkey, did we stop playing, our apologies" Heidi said to Isabella while joining in with Isabelle to make a little tower with the wooden blocks, "I can't help but worry for you both as friendship with the famous witch twins is rare and I'm grateful to be one of the few lucky individuals to be part of it, but I do see your point, so just be safe and return as soon as you can" Heidi said without lifting her head up as she was facing Isabelle as they was playing together.

Jasper stood up, brushed down his legs of the dust that was clinging to it from the floor, " I'll be right back my angel" Jasper said as he bent down to kiss Isabella on the head,"before I forget and Heidi do behave with my mate as you know I won't be happy if you make her cry again when you hide one of her wooden blocks last time" Jasper asked with a smile, knowing that he was being playful with the teasing of Heidi but totally serious at the exact same time. Heidi only nodded without saying a word, whereas Isabella smiled, "Alec, Jane follow me want to have a quiet word with you both in the gardens where we get more privacy to talk" Jasper said as looked very serious now, before he ran out the door for us to meet him there, I looked to Alec and he looked to me, before we ran to join Jasper in the gardens.

As we both made it to the gardens, Jasper only stood staring at the night sky, with all the stars shining brightly, "so what do you want to tell us here that you couldn't tell us with your mate and Heidi in the room" I asked, feeling curious to his reasoning, but got no response back on silence. "I want you both to promise me something" Jasper spoke, not needing to think about it very long, "sure anything" both myself and Alec said together, "don't return back until your sure, that you both are able to use your new gifts to the maximum, so it doesn't matter if it takes, weeks, months or even years, just be sure that you can use them to their best as if you can't, then guarding my mate isn't available to you both until then" Jasper said, "but, but" I said, before Alec put his hand on my shoulder to show that he understands what Jasper is saying, "I'm not doing this because I don't trust that you both can't protect her, but I'm doing this because with the prophecy, the ancient war, and everything that's happened, while possibly more to keep coming, you two need to be at your top of your game to make sure that she gets out of this all alive, while she's is still young, I can protect her while you both do what you must, but I have faith that you both can achieve this new power and master it too in time before she hits her eighteenth birthday" Jasper explained with as much concern and worry as he was being honest and serious about this situation.

"We promise Major, we will return before then, mastered our power and be the ultimate guardians to protect your mate and anyone we can to make it out alive to see eternity together as a family" Alec said which I could tell he was trying his best not to show weakness in this serious moment. Jasper turned round to us both and smiled before he ran passed us, where we knew he be back to his mate, leaving us both in the gardens to think about our next step. "So what now, should we get started on the portal or check on the kings and queens to see them off too?" Alec asked, I shrugged my shoulders, "I honestly don't know, seeing the queen's, Demetri and Maria maybe, but the kings not so much, as if I saw them now, I most likely wanna punch them in the face just as a goodbye greeting of my own" I said with a chuckle, as Alec chuckled along with me, "your right, so let's get this portal started" Alec said with a smile as he ran to grab the tome from the room before joining me in a manner of seconds, with the tome in hands.

"That was beautifully quick of you, I'm guessing you used the same trick that you used on Jasper when we first met him to get the tome unseen, crafty brother but impressive too" I said smiling as I do often around my brother more than I do around anyone else, as no one else gets me the same way that he does. "So shall we get on with it, as I feeling like it's not long till it's too late" Alec responded back with urgency in his tone, "yes we shall, so let's get on with it, but before I forget to mention, do we really need the tome to speak the spell when we have it already memorised to memory thanks to our vampiric nature" I said. No longer than a second went by, "your right what we already know is easy to replicate but this time we are prepared and can make the adjustments to perfect it this time around, so let's get started" Alec spoke in a serene tone.

We both go to our places to begin the spell, standing in the middle of the garden that is the centre for which we have chosen, with the tome in the middle of us waiting for us to start.

"I command thee powers that we call upon, to summon a dagger of the unholy, and that is used by those that came before"

As we both chanted the words three times, with a flicker of my eye I could see something rise out of the tome that was placed between myself and Alec. With each word we spoke the object that rose out of the tome became clearer and clearer. As I could see it was the dagger that we summoned, was definitely not made of anything from this world just by the smell and sounds that I could hear and taste from it. The sounds of the vibrations was almost like the dagger was made of sound itself yet just by the looks it was completely solid. The smell of the blade is another thing as you could physical taste what it smelled of, as it was metallic like the type you get from fresh blood that you get from the veins, but it also had something else that made it more outworldly that felt familiar yet not.

Being already agreed upon from before I was the first to grab the dagger to make a large enough cut to my exposed wrists before doing the same to my twin. Before letting the blood drip from our wrists to the ground we threw our arms out to guide the blood make a circle around us, both starting one end and going round the other, to make two semi circles that join us to make a circle of blood around us both. As our wrists sealed up once more we began the next part of the chant to create the portal.

"What we cast thee night,

That is ours by birth, blood and rite,

We bind ourselves to this circle,

To claim that's right.

What is right,

Thou wrong,

Give us entry,

By that is our by witch's rite.

Eternal night,

Moonlight,

Witches rite,

Take us to that we seek

Make it so,

Let it be done,

Now I have spoken,

So let it be so."

As we chanted these words, I could feel my entire body flowing with energy and strength from the simple chant of the spell, not just that but I could feel Alec in the sense that like we were one being sharing a body and everything that came with it, it was an absolutely new experience. We spoke the chant continuously over and over again, until the portal below our feet began to glow a scarlet red of our joint blood, swirling around in a spiral shape to open the gateway to our destination that we desired. All that lasted only seconds as it felt like we was going down a tunnel of sorts that was the same colour of the portal, where the world we was in disappeared and only the portal colours remain, to most it would felt like hours that we was falling to this portal tunnel, but it was less that minute if I had to guess.

As the downward motion stopped I knew we was here as I felt the connection to the ground once more, "we made it sis, at last" Alec said with a small sigh of relief, I followed with a sigh of my own, "it feels like that connection of where we was connected as a single being in that spell has disappeared once more, it was weird, yet strangely comforting, wouldn't you agree Alec" I said, as I watched him walk ahead to look at what would be our home for the time being. Silence continued with no response but it didn't bother me like it would if someone else in the coven or Jasper, if they didn't respond back would make me feel, as I knew deep down that he was just taking in the environment once more.

I walked towards Alec, while having a look around myself just out of wonder as the environment hasn't changed one bit since our first visit here. "So what's the plan now" I asked, Alec just shrugged his shoulders most likely being unsure himself, "well if my guess is correct then I guess we have less than a couple of hours to spare till we escape our vampiric shell in a sense, but that just means we need to figure out what to do in the meantime, besides staring at our new environment again" I said, as I did feel sadness that we had to leave our friends, not so much the coven as I still didn't particularly like some of them so I wasn't overly attached to them as most of the coven are. I tapped Alec's shoulder, "you miss them don't you, worry not brother, we will be reunited with them soon, not sure how long that be but we made a promise and we can't be there now if we can't protect her or them with the enemies getting more powerful, as you know as well as I do that we always knew that one day we wouldn't be the most powerful for long, so this time we can ensure that we stay the top predator at all costs" I explained being sincere while being understanding that he was more hurt by this than I was as he was and always have been closer to the coven than I was, being that I enjoyed my twin brother's company over others before I met Isabella where she has also become closer, to where I enjoyed her company just as much as I do my twin. It's not to say that I didn't enjoy being around my friends but before our lives as vampires we only had each other so I didn't like opening myself to others and it took time to open up to anyone else to even consider friendship but with Isabella it was different she just felt different, but familiar like my twin that it was instant connection.

One hour later

Feeling the pressure building beyond measure I let out a scream, alongside hearing one escape Alec too, "you said two hours, this is only half that, sis" Alec screamed, still in pain, " I said my guess, a bloody guess, damn you" I screamed back at him as I saw him fall to the ground, wriggling in agony, while part of my was wanting to go to him to try and get him through the pain, I knew that it was pointless as I was in the same kind of pain and agony and felt I was gonna join him in a manner of seconds. With that very last thought I dropped to the ground wriggling in agony of my own, but it lasted less than a second till something just popped, echoing in the dark recess of the minds connecting once more between myself and Alec.

Unlike the last time our minds connecting, during the spell it was less enjoyable and kind, as this time it brought more pain, as instead of just my own pain I was feeling his too, as was the same for Alec as I could tell he felt the same way, even with the pain now feeling like it's doubled. The pain was more intense than the one that anyone experiences from human to vampire, which is why this pain is more painful, enough to make you black out, not to ignore as it's the one thing that can be classified as a impossible, as even when your entire body blacks out to make you unconscious, it's not enough to even dull the pain that it's going through. You feel your body going from the most intense and extremest of subzero cold temperatures, where it's so cold it burns, to the change of similar type, but on the opposite as it was extreme and intense of the scorching blazes of the hot temperatures that puts all that you know of fire or molten lava that we all know that destroy a vampire by a single part of our body touches, but what we was feeling puts all that to shame. Being that despite all that, sharing a mind link to Alec we both had our own pain of all of it plus each others which made it so excruciating painful that we couldn't even ask how each other was to try and get us through the whole ordeal much less to scream as no sound could escape our lips even that or we was in that much pain it deafening our hearing and most of our other senses that I couldn't even see anything around us once more.

What must have felt like hours maybe days not being able to work out how much time has passed as it just is so unbearable it's hard to work out, but as the pain slowly works itself out of our systems, I could feel my body and mind coming to a peaceful stop. Normally we wouldn't need to breathe like humans do but with all that we went through I felt a need to catch my breath, hearing myself breathe and even hearing Alec doing the same, gave me some relief that he was fine too, even if I could hear it through the mind link that feels like it may be permanent this time around.

"Sister" Alec asked calmly.

"Sister" Alec asked again with more urgency.

"Relax I'm fine just haven't got my mind wrapped around this mind link of ours, going to take some time to get used to it" I spoke through the mind, as I couldn't open my eyes still or they was open but I couldn't see anything, " Alec can you see anything or is it just me who can't see?" I asked, as I was thankful to myself that I don't panic like most would, with a lack of vision, as I remember all too clearly when Alec struggled with his gift of his mists that can numb the senses, and I was unfortunate to be within reach when he had no control over them and took my sight, numerous of times when he was trying to learn to use it on command. Even a few times where he wanted to take a different sense from his test subject, but instead his mists kept coming to me taking my senses instead, it took days, even close to a month when he finally learnt how to fully control it where he had to focus and to relax, let the mists move freely and only give it a single thought on where to go towards. I was heavily relieved when he finally learnt to master his gift as unlike mine I mastered mine instantly, but he did apologise to me after every training session that involved him using his gift during that month.

"Yes I can't see either, and I know it's not my gift to blame this time, as I don't feel it, I can't even sense it either, hopefully this being unable to see will be temporary" Alec said through the mind link sounding quite unsure, even a bit frightened, I could understand his feelings on it as it was like he was losing control of his gift all over again to him, but it was like he wasn't sure if it was him or something else. "Children relax all will be explained once your bodies have been crafted to be your truest form of beings of untouched territory even for our kind" a womanly voice spoke making us feel at ease, calm and serene, you couldn't even sense any deceit or lies just the honest truth and a calm feeling to tell you everything is gonna be fine.

Not having time to wait to take in the calm feeling for very long, till I felt something wriggling under my skin, like something was trying to escape and burst free out of my skin that was trapping it inside. "Something is trying to escape almost like having maggots crawling just under the skin, wanting to burst out, to become flies" I said, "it's not just me then" I heard Alec speak which sounded quite forced, the feeling started to multiply, increasingly for every second that just have passed. The feeling of what we could only describe as maggots crawling under our impenetrable skin didn't stop but was instead replaced by our bodies being broken, snapped and then back again of the maggots crawling under our skin sensation, for what must have felt as long as the previous amount of pain of this new form of ours that started.

As the pain increased more and more, with it being doubled just by sharing a link with Alec I still felt strange how throughout all this pain that neither of us had to deal with as humans nor vampires, till this very point, yet we could still have the semblance of stable mind to think, just not act to protect us from these new pains that never stopped or remained the same type of pain that you can learn to ignore or get used to as it always changed and felt more agonising than the last. The one thing that remains the same that neither of us could see through the many, many hours or days that has or must have passed, throughout this time. I was heavily surprised that none of those beasts have found us to kill us, like they almost did the last time we was here, as I was certain that this time around we must look even more helpless and unable to defend ourselves, even with our gifts that we possess. Even amongst the horrendous things our bodies are going through with these variety of pains, with this being the most invasive of the two, our current situation must look like crap, as we must look a mess on the floor of this place, that's if we are still alive and not imagining all this, which is messed up just to think about, even from us.

Two weeks later

After a substantial amount of time that has passed us by, I couldn't find the energy to move, yet I could tell that my vision has returned once more, yet what I could see seemed to be the ground that we once stood upon, only now it looked strange, as it looked to been destroyed by multiple things. I also felt strange in my body, as I felt literally everything touching it, in the less kind of creeper way, to top it off my body felt completely bare to the environment. The odd thing is that I could feel it all, like it was a extension of myself, yet it was also its own thing, giving off something strange that I still can't get my head around but it's like giving me it's thoughts, what it sees and hears, that others cant understand or ever know about. All these new things I'm feeling, learning and getting now and soon to get more soon, is a humongous boost to that of what I was experiencing as a mere vampire, as what I was experiencing as just a vampire, pales in comparison.

The link to my twin was still in effect, which I was grateful for, as it told me he was fine, just sharing the same things I was, and have been feeling and thinking, which must be weird but yet comforting to have someone who understands this just as much as I am. "Alec, don't freak it's only me, just wanted to check if you can see anything besides the ground" I asked, thankfully Alec was always the one to not leaving me to wait long for a response, "yeah still looking at the ground, oddly though, besides the uncomfortable feeling being bare to the world surrounding us, it's comforting to know that what we can feel is telling us, to not be afraid of any harm will come to us" Alec responded in a much detailed answer than I was accustomed to, but besides that I felt at ease to know that just hearing him say that felt better than hearing thoughts and his feelings on it, as I didn't have to fear him to lie to me as we was always truthful to one and another.

Not choosing to respond back as it felt unnecessary with the link to act as a response in itself, I tried to feel anything in my body that could propel myself off the ground. Trying to sense any part of my body that had strength in it to move even a fraction of where I lie on the ground, I found nothing of the sort, but instead a whisper in the air calling to me, "when nature calls, it doesn't stalls, will you answer to its calls", the whisper spoke two more in the same gentle tone, that can be expected of a whisper in the air, it only repeatedb the same words like they were to mean something, but to me it made little sense but only thought that came to mind, was that it matched something similar to that of which we spoke to arrive here. "Brother, did you hear the voice or am I finally been driven to insanity?" I asked as I felt little need to speak out loud when using this link felt more comfortable and protected from any outsiders, "if your insane, then we are both insane as I heard it too, it definitely matched that of the tome, but nothing of that was in it, unless we are missing something" Alec mind spoke back in the same unsure tone as I was.

For over a hour or so, we both contemplated on what we should do, as neither of us expected that this new form of ours would make us feel this defenseless in our current situation, the one thing we did work out is that we could stretch our consciousness to other things about that we could sense, to see how far we could stretch it before being bungeed back again, we did this no more than a handful of times in different directions. We mainly did it out of trying to make the most of our stuck position, even spoke to each other of regrets if this is where we be stuck as for the rest of our eternity, or short lives as we wasn't sure if we still had our vampiric immortality, due to the changes we been through.

Two hours later

"When nature calls,

it doesn't stalls,

will you answer to its calls.

Refuse it's call,

You will fall,

Not from death,

Of that your downfall."

The whisper returned once more but this time extended to what it previously said, which made us both worry, as we wasn't sure if it was now becoming that of a prophecy instead of just a whisper in the air calling to us. "Now it's becoming a bigger concern sis, maybe we should try to find a way to answer nature's call or whatever it's supposed to mean" Alec said, I wanted to agree but being that I wasn't sure how we can answer it's call when we are stuck and have no way to use our body to attempt anything. Alec started to keep calling my name through our link, but I ignored it as I was trying to think as I was desperate to figure a way out of this crappy situation even if we was still more powerful than before but unable to do anything with it.

Something just clicked in my head, like a idea of sorts that may work, "Alec I think I have a idea that may work but you have to trust me, try to follow my lead" I asked him, with a response of agreement inside my head, "nature's call I speak with my voice, answer us now" I called out, noticing a small difference in my voice sounding different more grown up, less childlike despite being older than a child, "I answer the call or those who aim to anew to that which we seek" Alec added, which I could hear the same difference in his voice as mine was.

"Speak your name,

Help will be given,

Refuse or give incorrect name,

You will remain"

We heard the response back in the same whisper tone as before but this time knew it sounded serious than it was a moment ago, I only knew myself as Jane Volturi, the name I was given when I was changed by my old master Aro Volturi, just as the same thing was for Alec, but if we speak those names and it's correct, it could spell doom for us both, so we both had to be careful of what we say next.

"If names are forgotten, how may we seek out our true names if those are the ones that you request" Alec spoke, which I could only hope that what he said wouldn't leave us here alone and instead get us a hint, "names are not forgotten, but hidden, if you look within, you find that which is lost", the whisper replied back. Look within, find that which is lost, but how is that any help if we never had a last names, we have always been Alec and Jane, only had Volturi for last name when we joined the coven, but there had to be truth to what it said otherwise it would've just left us instead of responding back. Then just as I realized, something else instead my head clicked or more like slammed with a heavy bang, as something came to me in a rush of a thousand years worth of memories and thoughts was speeding inside my own head making me dizzy, but part of my mind pushed on to allow it to continue.

"Jane stop your hurting yourself" I heard Alec call out to me, but I refuse to let it stop me as I was determined to keep going at all cost to do what it said to search within, "Son leave her be, she needs to do this, and I advise you to do the same" the whisper spoke but this time it sounded more male than female as it did before, like the whisper had no specific gender it was just a whisper of nature that spoke when in need. It's funny that before the looking within, and the memories speedy through my mind so quickly, I wouldn't have understood what the whisper is, but this process of speeding memories of my entire life going backwards as a vampire, its showing me secret messages of what it truly is, but I know inside that it's not finished yet, as I need to go back further to my human years to seek the answer I'm looking for.

"Son you will need to understand that the pain she's going under isn't physical, but emotional, not just that but she can only hear us temporarily, as when she's searching for answers that I have asked of her, and her to herself, think link of yours with her is blocked from communicating, but not what she or you feel" the whisper spoke to Alec, which I could tell, alongside the fact that it was telling the truth and that I wished my twin would join me so he could understand that too.

Before I had a chance to talk to my twin or thank the whisper, my memories took over once more starting at where it ended the last time which brought me joy, yet sadness for reasons I tried to ignore, but nothing would stop it from being ignored. The memory didn't stop long as they never do, speeding quickly before having a chance to hold onto it before it landed on the next memory and all the memories that followed.

As the speeding memories that flowed, each with their own emotions attached to them, the good, the bad and the enjoyable, it was only then I began to realise it slowed to a stop at the last human memory I had before both myself and Alec become vampires, being turned by Aro, the one we called master, but this time something was telling me that I was missing something, which could explain why my memories have stopped on this memory in particular. For what could only be the first time that I could remember, watching this memory play out in front of me as spectator, so I could see myself and everyone in this moment playing out the past of how I became a vampire, only this time what comes with a different perspective, also becomes a different view and understanding of what it means to me.

Sometime before 800 AD

Seeing our old home, the village we lived in without either of our parents, couldn't understand why, as human lives is like a fractured glass that falls apart the longer you live as a vampire, so witnessing my human life now despite not remembering any of this just felt strange and also a blessing in disguise that I wasn't gonna refuse, but be grateful that the thousands of memories of my vampire life has stopped, so I can have some peace to see why my human life was the one thing to be shown and what is so important.

I don't recognise much of what I'm seeing, but I do see how everything looks simple, not as extravagant as the life style that I'm used to now, the clothes that we are wearing even looks simple and worn but exactly the same as everyone else who lives in this village. The one thing that took me by surprise is that I can actually see how small and young I was and even Alec was, but we also looked genuinely happy holding hands as we skipped along the pathways of the village interacting with other children and villagers.

The memory slowly shifted in a way that was like changing a slide of a picture on a old looking camera that uses a projector to show the pictures, it stopped shifting seeing Alec reading me a story in our odd looking beds of cloths and rags near a fire place to provide us with warmth on a cold chilling evening. I could see that we both looked to be of quite young where having no one to look after us was strange as we only looked to be of ten or twelve years of age, which could be why we was strange to be turned so young even for the time that we were found by the three kings.

The day started to flip back to the day time, I could see the other villagers going about their normal everyday life but this time something looked off, as the farmer's products looked to have infestation all over it, with nothing that was sellable, which none of the villagers looked pleased about, but I could hear some of them just discussing if it was just bad luck or to do with the twins, that I knew was them talking about myself and Alec as children.

As the days went by more things went wrong in the village and the food supplies were getting low, young Alec and young me, was looking sad, as virtually the whole village was against them, blaming them for everything going wrong and deaths of livestock. As I continued to watch this play out, I knew this was getting closer to the eventual turning of us being vampires, but yet I never saw the kings during all this time, which was baffling to say the least. Another day passed and this time I was observing the outer part of the village where I noticed that the three kings were in a conversation. "They are perfect, it's a shame to hear all those horrible false claims of them being blamed for something that wasn't their doing, so what do you think brothers, do you agree with taking them away from here or should we wait for them to mature more before we turn them" Aro said talking to both Caius and Marcus that must have been several miles away from the village. Seeing this I was surprised how they saw all this and for me who was watching this whole memory play out miss them, maybe they was very well hidden and I missed it as I was distracted by other important factors that as a human would have missed.

"He's talking about those young twins, the ones with no parents to speak of and that are mature for their age" Caius asked Marcus, who just solemnly nodded without saying anything, "of course I'm talking about them, I wouldn't have asked for us to come here and keep our eyes on them if I didn't sense something wonderful about them ever since the tragic death of their mother when she gave birth to them, it's just a shame that she passed away minutes after birthing them both, as she would have made a wonderful addition to our coven" Aro joyfully explained, which made me wonder what else he knew that he kept hidden from telling us all this time. "Your right she would have made a great addition, but with unfortunate circumstances it can't be helped, it's odd that you ignored that they had a male parent, what do you know of his whereabouts?" Caius asked as he looked to be unaware of that part. "Being the fact I was only observing the birth, I can only hazard a guess that he ran off not long after his mate passed, being too traumatic to stay and care for the two children that killed their mother" Aro explained sounding quite disappointed with saying that, probably because of his own personal experience or something that he never mentioned in the time that I knew him, "you seem to know more than your letting on brother, you might as well tell us what else your not telling us, as I don't need your gift to know your keeping something from us about this subject" Caius said with a slight irritation in his voice, which I shared even from just a spectators view on this particular memory.

Aro looked uncomfortable in how he was showing himself even when standing next to his brothers in a open space out of earshot of humans, "that's the thing, it's why I was insistent that we keep a close eye on this two children" Aro said uncomfortably, "get on with it brother we don't have all day, as you have said already that distrust in the village is spreading unnaturally so we won't have long till we have little chance to remove the problem or the children to be turned early and risk the problems it will cause" Caius explain trying to keep his cool, while Marcus just watched and said nothing. "Well the thing is their mother isn't human, for starters while their father is of a mystery that even my gift couldn't pick up" Aro said, "what do you mean mystery? What do you mean not human?" Caius angrily roared, but calmed down when Marcus touched his shoulder, "how did you come across these facts and not inform us of this before you asked us to help you keep an eye on these children" Marcus spoke.

The memory paused, which both surprised me and irritated me the same time as I was desperate to hear more, "what the hell" I shouted at a paused screen, " sorry daughter, for pausing the memory, but I could tell that you had questions, that needed to be answered before you saw more" the whisper spoke again this time sounding female this time around instead of the male I heard speaking to my brother, "yes your right I do have questions, but I know that you won't answer them all, because you enjoy being th cryptic type" I said.

"Ask away and if you get a answer then you get what you are looking for, but I feel that the question is one that it answers itself in a timely fashion whether that is now or later, that be for you to figure out" the whisper spoke, which by now I understood why it speaks cryptic even if I don't approve of it, as I much rather have straight answers.

"Fine then, how am I seeing all this if my memory of it is either fuzzy of my humans years or that I don't remember seeing or hearing all this when I wasn't around to see or hear" I asked, as it wasn't because I was ungrateful to not see how the kings came to find Alec and I, it was just something that I couldn't figure out, "most of it is your memory yes, but part of it is my doing to help you understand, what you are and how you came to be" the whisper answered, in a cryptic way, which I expected and for some odd reason knew that it made complete sense to answer my question.

"I've worked out a bit about you, but are you gonna reveal who you really are, and why it's necessary for both of us to figure out through our memories and you showing us important factors" I asked, as I could tell that I was still inside my mind with the memories, but had no clue how it factored to us knowing our true name or achieving our true form, as I know that despite the odd changes that happened, we was still facing the ground not able to move a single part of our body. "We are connected, by working out that connection, you achieve all that you are, being true name, true form and with everything to go with it, to do what you was created to do" the whisper responded, which felt like this time the answer brought more questions than answers, but seeing as it hasn't allowed for the memory to continue I will continue to ask away.

"Is our parents a important factor for now, or will they hold importance for later on" I asked, this time keeping it simple, "both" the whisper answered, "how can it be both when neither are alive" I shouted, "one is dead yes, but the other is not" the whisper spoke, which confused me, as if one is dead, assuming it was still out mother, then how is the father alive, maybe that's why Aro called him a mystery. "Aro said that our father was a mystery, is he connected to our future? You said our mother is important too, how is she important if she's dead?" I asked, realising that I asked two questions at the same time, and possibly could only get a single answer to just one of them and not both, "a answer you will seek in time, which is all I can tell you to your questions of the two you asked, but all I can say is that, when I mentioned before of a connection, it may not be one you will happy to seek, when the cost is ready to be paid" the whisper replied, before I could have a chance to respond back or ask any more questions that I had, the memory continued forward once more.

Aro looked unsettled by the question, which I could tell by his expression on his face, "well that's a tough one to admit but I've been observing the village for quite some time under a very close examination, as I had to use a cloak that was bigger enough to cover my face and any exposed skin, during daylight hours, so I could investigate and Interact with everyone unnoticed, without revealing what I was" Aro explained but both Caius and Marcus looked at him knowing that he wasn't finished explaining, and I was thinking the same as I watched. "Well the thing is I was almost exposed to what I was but managed to make a deal with the two individuals that worked it out, which surprised me that they knew what I was" Aro said uncomfortably, while looking down at his feet in shame, "I'm assuming these two who worked out who you was or in fact what you are, was the twins parents?" Marcus butted in before Caius could explode in anger, which Marcus must have assumed as he spoke knowing what Caius would have said but said it differently. "Yes it was them, what was surprising, is the fact they wasn't repulsed by what I was just made me promise not to harm them or anyone in their village, in return I could continue to stay and they will not tell anyone my secret, not even why I was in the village at all, which I never told them" Aro explained, looking up with a forced smile, "I of course promised them I will stay true to my promise, which I did, while learning that the mother was able to weld magic, not the pretend stuff but the real thing as I accidentally caught her reciting a spell on a full moon to a goddess that she worships" Aro said. "What of my father?" I asked despite talking to a memory that doesn't hear or see me, "the father on the other hand, well that's just that, a mystery, he's not human as his scent is off for a human, he doesn't use magic like the mother, yet he's hiding something that my gift can't get through to figure out" Aro explained, which made me confused and even Caius and Marcus looked confused.

"I can see from your faces that it shared that of what I felt when I found that out, confusion, that's not the weirdest thing he would often disappear for random reasons, like completely disappeared from the entire village, as I've checked everywhere when it happened the first two times and even asked about, but got nothing back to explain his disappearance, even how he arrived here was a complete mystery that no one knew about not even the mother" Aro added, which gave me the answer I was looking for, even if I wasn't happy about it either, but when the whisper said in time, I know I will find out why eventually no matter how long it takes or or how I come to find out.

"So what of the children, you said they grew up without parents which we have seen with our own eyes when we have observed them ourselves, so how did that happen if you know, as I'm very sure that you do" Caius pointed out, which was a good point that if Aro knows something he should say something. "I was there then too, at the very least their birth, it wasn't an enjoyable experience to say the least" Aro said before pausing as he was reliving the moment in his head which I could tell just how he looking up at the sky, which most would think he was stalling but from all the time we spent with him, you pick up those things that I could bet that his own mate and queen would have missed hadn't I or Alec told her that one time. "Well months before their mother, birthed them, it came as a complete surprise and mystery how she came to be pregnant to all but me, as I could smell the signs of pregnancy in the female race, the father was the most taken aback of the news almost like it shouldn't have happened, which didn't change how he went about his life, doing the same things as before before he found out, even went out his way to ignore the fact he was gonna be a father" Aro explained, "sorry to interrupt brother, but how could he ignore something like that, couldn't you just search his mind and seek out why" Caius asked, which as I heard him say that it made sense as that is what Aro would do if he wants answers.

"That's the thing I did exactly that when I had a chance without it being odd to any onlookers, but I got nothing, almost like he was gifted human even if he wasn't human either" Aro added, "but as I was saying, they went about their normal routines both of them did, keeping the pregnancy of the children a secret from the village, even asking me to not speak of it, which I agreed only so I could get closer to them to seek answers to questions I had of them both" Aro continued.

"As the months went by ticking closer to what I was told the due date of their birth, as it was only days till it was time, I stayed close keeping a eye on everything, which is when the mother came up to me with a secret that she wanted me to know" Aro continued before being stopped by another interruption this time by Marcus which irritated me as I was absorbed by this tale about my parents and seeing a new side to Aro that I never saw before or heard about either, but if it was important that he interrupted just as Caius did then maybe it was important for me to listen and not be annoyed at the stopping of the tale. "You say another secret, how many secrets did these two have?" Marcus asked, Aro coughed, "a lot of them, more than I bargained for or even found out, as the ones I did find out was not that many compared to that which I knew they hid from me even when they later found out of my gift a day before the twins birth" Aro said with annoyance in his tone, I guess it must have been because he was caught out with his gift. "What are the secrets and then you can continue your take brother just to speed up this tale as we haven't got all day as you very well know of by now" Caius interrupted sounding quite annoyed, "very well brother, and your right we haven't got that much time" Aro said understandingly, "well for one the mother had the most secrets that I found out, one that she was a magic user, but that she was the last of her kind in her bloodline, she refused to tell me how the rest of her bloodline was killed, so don't try to ask as I have no clue to why" Aro looked at Caius as he spoke the last part of that question, "she was the virgin kind as her kind can only mate with that of her kind, which was why she was slightly surprised when she found out that she was expecting, which is why she told me that particular secret, that as well as that she wasn't local to the village and was sent here by her family before they passed away" Aro explained.

"I'm not gonna tell you anymore of the secrets just due to the fact they are less important as of right now and I will tell you at a later date if they appear to be of importance or if the twins ever asked to know about their human lives and parents" Aro said looking fed up. "I'm just gonna speed this along now as I rather go back to keep an eye on the kids as I feel protective of them" Aro added.

"On the very day that was to expect a full moon, the mother was giving birth to the twins, I almost missed it as I only arrived not long after the father did, who looked worried, I was worried for the mother's health, as she looked incredibly pale, and had a weak heart beat, as she was giving birth", "well as it turned out during the long process of heavy breathing and awaiting for the arrival of the twins, she was speaking odd language that I could only picked up on a few words, that altogether made no one bit of sense, all I know it did affect the father as his face changed with his eyes becoming more reptile like." Aro paused again, "what's wrong brother you look shaken, almost frightened of this particular part" Marcus spoke looking concerned, while Caius just looked annoyed. "Sheesh brother it can't be that bad, unless it's a werewolf then, that is something to be frightened of" Caius said with what could only sound of a mix of boasting and annoyance, "it was no werewolf, as I said it looked reptile like in its eyes, it's skin changed to that of scales, but was black and looked tougher like it was armour, yet I knew deep down that it was it's skin" Aro said, Caius interrupted, "so what creature was it, as it sounds like nothing I've heard of, but what your description is saying sounds none existent, are you certain you was seeing correctly and not that of a enemy vampire's gift you was under that made you think you saw what you did of their father?" Caius spoke, but neither Aro or Caius got to speak as Marcus spoke, but what he said confused me even more so, "what you speak of sounds that of a great myth that was passed by generation to generation in my family, it sounds that of a creature that is not that of reptile but that of a dragon being of tremendous power, who has only been seen a selection of time in all time that has existed in this world of ours, it's a being of is powerful and dark of that of shadows, only brings that of death to its victims" Marcus explained in a more dreary of tone that made his bored like tone that I knew to be less creepy.

Dragon, tremendous power, dark, shadows, it sounds like that of a enemy talked about in the prophecy that Isabella spoke of in a more adult version, in the present, so if my hunch is correct then it's connected to that of mine and Alec's father. If that is the case, then what does that mean going forward, will we be killed while all our friends are destroyed, or are we to destroy those who may be the only connection to our father and everything that may tell us more. The questions surrounding that particular mystery could go on forever, it may be a simple question or a complex one, but if we get answers, then i'm not gonna argue it, as it may help to figure out what it truly means for me and Alec going forward.

As I tuned out my own inner thoughts, to look back at what's currently playing out in front of me, it didn't look as much has transpired in either a positive or negative response, only just a silence that must have ended as I paid my full attention to what's happening. "As I was saying, after that change in the father happened, he fled, but now the mother spoke to me, but what was odd that she spoke of me like she knew my past, present and future" Aro said, "what she said next might confuse you two also, 'Aro, vampire now, soon to be king of all, the past may haunt you, but won't define you, powerful and fair, death will release you', is what she told of me before, what must have been myself blacking out or whatever humans call it, but I find that my hands are covered in blood, not the edible kind as it smelled off, so it was the kind of a pregnant women when they give birth, to offspring, but I also had both children in my arms sound asleep, content in my grasp" Aro said while looking like he zoned out thinking back to the moment, before Caius punched him to get his attention, causing me to laugh even if they couldn't hear me doing so. "Thanks brother, I'm just reliving the moment again in my head, as I can't get my head around that new offspring of humans that wasn't afraid of me, our kind who's supposed to put fear in our prey, was asleep in my arms while their mother died in front of me, of course she did say something before she fully died, 'watch them, protect them, let no harm come to them', those words was why I, I have to ensure that they shall live full lives, even if it's a immortal one to prevent them from passing to early" Aro spoke before he sped away from his brothers.

Instead of going to see where Aro wondered to, as I could guess it was with myself and Alec as children, most likely, I was interested to see what Caius and Marcus might be discussing as it seemed to be likely to have a great interest in it. "Marcus, do you think he's hiding something from his take on it?" Caius asked, "I don't think he's hiding something as you say but parts of it are not fully detailed enough, where it might suggest hiding something, or not giving us the full story" Marcus summed up, Caius looked ready to run to Aro, "so should we get him to tell us now, as it could be important" Caius asked, Marcus placed his hand on Caius's shoulder, "don't, leave him brother, he needs his space, he has told us enough that whatever he has not told us or couldn't tell us, he may tell us when the time is right" Marcus explained, which even from my view point, I could agree and understand what he is saying. Hearing it all kind of makes me feel sorry for Aro for what we have put him under while we have served him, not that it means that what he has done is not questionable or plain stupid, as they still are but I can understand Aro a lot more now, "fine have it your way" Caius grumbled, before he looked away from Marcus.

After less than a minute of silence between both Caius and Marcus, I decided to think about everything so far and what it has to do with me and Alec, besides the fact that I was happy learning what I didn't know, and that I now have some understanding of the kings situation in this time period, the only thing I don't get is why does it have to be this huge mystery, I rather be given it all straight up and not have to do a huge mind search to find these facts. Of course I will still be speaking to Aro as I agree with Caius that Aro knows something that he's not saying, which means that it must be big or something that scares Aro if he's not saying anything about it or hasn't said anything during all these years. "Smoke, red and orange skies, brother, Aro is either in trouble or something is happening that calls for our attention" Caius stated before he sped off in the direction of the village, followed by Marcus who didn't speak and just moved to follow Caius. Not needing to do anything but let myself move on its own taking me several feet off the ground to see a scene I wish I could have ignored or avoided seeing, as it's not something I can unsee easily.

What I was witnessing was the entire village set ablaze with both past me and Alec tied to wooden trunks in the centre of the village, the flames of the village was connected to our past selves as we was set alight as I could barely make out our faces but despite that still knew it was us, then. Surrounding where our past selves was being burned, I saw everyone in the village headless, torn to pieces, some completely torn in half, blood sprayed from the bodies, with a lick of flames inching closer to the bodies. The only thing that was sort of alive was village elder, who was being held high by his throat by Aro, who was shouting at him in a language I didn't understand, but I got the message from it that he was being fueled by his anger that he was blinded to the fact that his brothers Caius and Marcus was stood just outside the flames of the village in complete shock. "You killed them, children you killed children, what monster kills innocent children over rumours, superstitions and loss of crops being produced" Aro shouted at such a volume he must have not heard the pleas of the elder begging for forgiveness over and over again in a muffled tone, due to his throat being restricted. "I was told to protect them, keep them from harm, I leave them be so they sleep as I do everyday, and you burn them alive, not giving them a chance to speak" Aro shouted, while his body looked to be crumbling under the pressure of his emotions, as his hand allowed the elder to slip out, in a sudden drop, where the elder just looked rugged and beaten, while also looking to be very frightened of Aro.

Caius jumps over the flames landing just beside Aro, puts his hands on his shoulders, looking sincere and apologetic, "there's nothing you could've done brother, humans call us monsters, because of what we can do and how we live" Caius paused to look at the elder with furious look on his face, "yet they have none of what we are or what we do to survive, but still do acts that are just as vile and destructive and think it makes them saints, it truly shows that humans have a very small perspective of the world and it's views" Caius finished, while Aro didn't look up, but his shoulders did slope. Marcus decided to take the leap over the flames that still burned and reached so high, taking a drop next to Caius making his entrance more grand than Caius's was, "Caius is correct, just try to see it that you did do everything that you could for them while sitll allowing them to have a human life away from our world that is surrounded by dangers at every turn, because of what we are" Marcus said comfortably.

Aro suddenly shot up and rushed towards the elder as his eyes glowed even brighter shade of his normal red colour, picking him up high in the sky to then throw him towards the ground shattering every bone in the elder's body which you could hear the bones shattering, with sprays of blood gushes everywhere around the elder's corpse, ending his life. "Feel better brother?" Caius said with a smirk, but Aro gave no answer but instead charged towards Caius fangs hung low in a feral growl, Caius seeing that something was definitely off ran avoiding Aro's attempts at attacking him, Marcus only looking stunned, frozen in spot did nothing but looking to be scared at what he just saw Aro did and what he was still doing. "Marcus do something quickly before he does get to me, I can only keep this up for so long brother" Caius shouted, I was kinda amused watching this play out, still curious how myself and Alec's past self could be dead if we are alive as vampires in the present time, was baffling but I have begun to wonder if there's more to this memory than I originally thought.

"Screw this, i'm not gonna be the prey again, like I was to those beasts that almost killed me in my early years, and with my brothers in arms and hopefully soon a coven to back me up I will wipe them from existing altogether" Caius said only just avoiding Aro's advances on him, which was starting to get tougher to avoid even wity Caius speed it was nothing to Marcus's and definitely starting to look like nothing to Aro's speed which kept increasing with every dodge that Caius did. " If Marcus isn't gonna help then I have no choice but to try to do something as the one thing I have that Aro doesn't is strength that does outweigh his own, and currently I have more intelligence than he does to as he seems to be acting more on instinct like a common animal than a vampire that he is'' Caius said as stopped and just narrowly missed a swipe of Aro's attempt at hit to Caius face. Despite that I forgot that I was watching the memory of how me and Alec become vampires, as for some reason this memory seems to be more than just that, it was also something else that was important and something that I have a strong sense about that will help us down the line.

As Caius launched his leg into a sweeping motion into the ground lowering himself to make himself look smaller, he waited till the last second for Aro to charge again once more but this time Caius shot himself up into the air, with a single fist uppercutting Aro in the lower jaw, knocking him out mid air before landing on the ground completely unconscious from the impact. As Marcus came to, "Caius come quickly I think someone or something is coming through the flames but they seem small, human like in the shadowy appearance" Marcus shouted, completely ignoring the fact that Aro was unconscious on the ground and that Caius looked exhausted. "Forget that brother, have you just forgot what just happened as that was not normal for a vampire to do, I was lucky that I had a single chance to knock him out as I could have been killed" Caius spoke looking incredibly annoyed that Marcus did nothing and now ordering him to follow him, which I could definitely agree with but even I was intrigued by what Marcus was pointing at.

As Caius followed Marcus with a huff of annoyance, the two figures that Marcus was talking about started to look clearer and clearer by the second, which by both brothers surprised and even by my own, being surprised too, it was just me and Alec alive and well, both had tears dripping from their eyes which I knew was because of the destruction that took place and what the villagers did that took part in the destruction in the first place. "How did you both survive being burned to the stake as Aro our brother thought you died as he got here just a little too late to save you both" Marcus asked being curious, that I shared in being intrigued and curious about it too as I knew that my memory of this wasn't how I have been seeing it, so I know that something happened for it to be missing to me. "We don't know all we know is that the village took us away from our home and we awoken to find ourselves being asked questions to that we couldn't answer while being set alight in the middle of the village" Alec spoke as Jane didn't want to talk, "I think we can fill you in on their reasoning for what they did, even if we disagree with their methods or how they tried to burn you both alive" Caius said with his fists scrunched up, trying to hold his anger in while talking to both Alec and Jane in a calming manner, which made me laugh as I knew that Caius wasn't one for controlling his anger at the slightest, so seeing him in the past controlling it was laughable.

As I watched as Caius and Marcus explained to a young Alec and Jane, I saw that Aro was looking like he was coming to, watching everyone while keeping silent to not be noticed, "uncle Aro your awake, your brothers was telling us everything that happened and filling us in on why the villagers did what they did from what you told them, thank you for doing your best" Jane said as she walked up to Aro, who looked sad but happy too at seeing them both alive once more, "actually while we have a few moments before we need to decide on something I want to ask you Marcus why you froze like that when Aro went berserk" Caius said as he looked annoyed about that situation and I was kinda wondering the same thing as I didn't know that vampires can go into shock like that. "Very well brother, the reason I reacted the way I did was because what Aro did was a forbidden technique that I thought was long but forgotten about but also very dangerous for the user who goes into that forbidden state but also anyone who is harmed by it too" Marcus explained, as if mimicking my exact thoughts, "still need more information than that brother, as I kinda guessed most of that anyway, so please continue" Caius spoke in a annoyed tone that I definitely agreed with and I saw that Jane, Alec and Aro was watching and listening to conversation thoroughly, while being very interested in the subject to wanting to hear more to.

"As I was saying it being forbidden and forgotten, it was also said to be very rare for vampires either newborn or ancient, doesn't make a difference as it can be accessed by any but few have the genes for it to take effect" Marcus took a pause, "one such vampire way before my time had the gene and nearly wiped out everything that around, was only stopped by his mate who died alongside him while she managed to put enough force to break his chest to pull his heart which was easy for her to do being that they was mated and just the force of that action alone would kill any mate who lost a mate, so you can see why it's forbidden and best to stay forgotten" Marcus said, "wait a minute so how come I managed to knock Aro out and he's back to normal, or normal for him anyway?" Caius asked, which was a fair enough question and one that I think even Aro was curious about as he had that look on his face that just looked like he was confused and curious too. "Well that's something I'm not so sure about, I can only assume it's because he didn't hit a point of no return, like I said it's forbidden and best left to be forgotten as it is too dangerous to even play with, if anything I just say that you both got lucky, or if anything count it as a miracle" Marcus said and from his tone I guessed he was now not gonna say anymore on the subject.

"So Aro what do you plan to do with these two, because as much as you have grown attached to them both, you know that they won't stay human or whatever they are remain alive for as long as we do" Marcus explained, "he has a point brother, maybe they could even help us with the Romanian problem we have if they have our additional power, alongside whatever else they bring to the table, as no ordinary human can pass through flames without a single injury or death, so they may be our most powerful assist" Caius added. I saw that Aro looked in deep thought, part of me wished I could hear his thoughts to know what he is thinking at this time, "I agree with you both and disagree at the same time, I will not force this life on them as you know well of, that Caius, you only had this life because he was dying of the beasts that almost killed him and wanted revenge, Marcus, you only this life for whatever reasons is your own as you have never told either of us, but you both should know that forcing this life on others isn't right, yes we require our existence to be kept secret but I won't force them to this lifestyle unless they wish to choose it" Aro explained very thoroughly that he actually surprised me as it wasn't what I expected of the man I grew up alongside and served as my master, father figure and even protector at times.

"I'm surprised of you brother, that was deep, and I don't mean that there's anything wrong with that but I expect that more from Marcus than you, but you are right, just remember that if they choose against this, then you will have to make a tough decision about what the next course of action you will take" Caius spoke, which spoke plenty of what I expected of him, while understanding what could have happened if things didn't turn the way they have done. "Very well brother, if you don't mind I like some time with them alone, expect to see me in a hour, if not then you know my decision has been made" Aro said in a serious tone, that was unlike his childlike tone or bubbly happy like tone I was used to hearing, "I hope you make the right decision brother" Marcus said before both he and Caius whooshed away as quickly as the last word was spoken.

As Aro walked towards the twins as humanly possible, "Aro, what were your brothers talking about, I get that neither of you are human like us but we know that you won't hurt us either" Alec said, "what decision do you want us to make uncle Aro?" Jane asked before Aro or Alec could speak, "very well child, I will answer all your questions as I did say to them, to give me a hour" Aro said, "as your first question was will I hurt you both, no I won't, to answer your second question the decision isn't a easy one to just tell you as it carries its own burden in itself, it's just not one that we choose to carry but are forced to carry it, it just takes a certain will to ignore it and enjoy what gain from the painful entry to this world that myself and my brothers are in" Aro explained, which credit when due he didn't try to sugar coat it as I thought he would do. "Who are these Romanians your brother speaks of, are they dangerous to the way of life that you live and that we live in?" Jane asked, seeing Alec in agreement, Aro looked to be in thought like he was thinking the best way to describe it, as I knew this already but rewatching it again refreshes my memory of those idiots that would one day return to claim what they lost, "well yes they are dangerous because they have no way of discretion in the way they go about their needs which means that we could have the humans trying to hunt us down again, the thing they forget is that just because they are humans, single they are weak compared to us but they outnumber us by a lot because they reproduce so much, to which we can't increase our numbers like they can, so discretion is important if we want to survive and thrive as us three have done so far" Aro explained, "we definitely want to kick them out of the castle that they have been living in, as we have heard it holds secrets of its own, but also to use city as our place of residence as kings of our kind and the city, maybe even set laws for the rest of our kind to live by to prevent any humans from finding out, but also to keep our species thriving" Aro added with a small smile.

"So you definitely have a idea of what you want then, where do we fit into all this as I can just tell that we have a part in this one way or another, but I want you to tell us it first" Jane said, shocking her twin as you could tell he was gonna speak before she did instead, which made me smile just as it did Aro too, "very observant you are, yes you both have a place in it, only if you choose it, but it's depending on how you decide to join, is what tells me your part to play in the plan" Aro said, looking more relaxed as the conversation played out. Silence between the three of them for a few minutes, "you can say it, we trust you enough to get us this far in our lives, so whatever you wish to ask us, we will hear you out like we do like every other time" Alec said, Aro sighed of what only looked to be of relief, "well thank you for trusting me so far, I hope you still trust me later down the line just as equally" Aro said, with a small pause, "well being immortal as me and my brothers are, I'm hoping you both join us in immortality so you can help us to take the castle and if my guess is right you both be special even for our kind, as it's a rare opportunity for our kind to have gifts, both me and my brother Marcus are gifted, my brother Caius isn't gifted in the same way, but we both think he is, just in a different sense than we both are" Aro explained smiling as he spoke.

"We have seen how humans treated us horribly despite our young age, so we have no love for them, so we don't see ourselves staying human to accept being treated as we have done, alongside the fact that we hope to avoid and prevent this from happening in the upcoming future, so I for one will gratefully accept your offer, as I wish for a better life than what I've had as a human" Alec spoke with truthfulness and honesty that even I knew was exactly as I assumed from watching this memory. "As agreeable as ever I also accept your offer graciously, but I just have a small question to ask that I'm most curious about, and once I say it I think even my dear twin brother would agree it's a question that has to be asked" Jane asked, while Aro just nodded to show that he's curious of the question to be asked, "very well, being that you saw yourself that we was immune to being harmed by fire, will that be the case when we are like you?" Jane asked and I could see Alec being concerned and curious about the question that was asked, while Aro was different he looked the same.as he was looking before the question was asked. "Well as much as I wanna tell you both that you be unharmed by which you are currently immune from, I can't say for sure, as it's a huge weakness to our kind but, you both are a miracle for a human so maybe it go the same as if you turned but like I said I can't be sure" Aro said honestly.

Looking outraged, Jane was the first to speak, "what do you mean you can't be sure, you must be ancient, so you must have knowledge about it and if its a certainty or not" Jane shouted, Aro just shrugged, "Marcus I know you both are close by to hear me and our conversation, get your know it all backside here now" Aro called in not a shouting tone but just his regular response to speaking, which was amusing to see, and Marcus and Caius whooshed to stand just behind Aro in a matter of seconds with a smile on their faces. "You can wipe those smiles of your faces and answer their questions as I know for certain that you brother will have more to help with, being that you are much older than all of us combined" Aro said to no one yet I could tell he was directed most of what he said to Marcus, "very well, your correct with being older, even though I prefer if you kept that to yourself, not because it's a secret but I just don't think it's necessary to mention it as much as you do" Marcus explained seriously, before he whooshed towards both Jane and Alec to be standing right in front of them holding their hands in his, "so you both have a very powerful bond with each other to the extent of it being unbreakable, so nothing that our could or will do will break it, so you both will not have to worry about being apart from each other, to answer your question about your strange immunity to fire, if you was like us, I unfortunately can't answer that with the certainty that you require as it's next to impossible to be that certain, all I can guarantee is that we all, more so my brother that you have been speaking to, can back me up in agreement, is that you two if was like us, will be very powerful and special even for our kind, to the extent of that can't be said but can be certain that you won't regret your decision" Marcus explained in the manner of what shocked even myself as I watched that they all knew me and my brother would be special just not the means or how it would show.

"Thank you brother, I hope that at least helps more than what I've said, but I really do hope you both join us as I would love to show you our world more and to spend more time with you both without hiding who I am" Aro said, with Caius grinning from where he stood alone, "very well we are suffice to say we are satisfied, so where will we be going to start being turned, as you can see that this village is kinda in ruins now" Alec spoke, while Jane just nodded along, "your right this is a terrible place to do it, I have a idea where we can go to start your new lives as one of us" Caius said while everyone looked shocked or at least surprised by his comment, even I was, but before the memory ended as I assumed it was I heard the voice once more.

"The rest of this memory isn't any use or help to you now, but now you know what you are and who you are"

As the scene around us turned black like the ending of a movie, I knew it was just myself and the voice once more, " you are correct I do know who I am and what I am, even if it wasn't the most obvious but I think I worked it out and also worked out more about my past with the three kings" I said, as I could tell they have importance too, even if it isn't what the memory was supposed to tell me.

"Very well speak your name, so thou what is yours, will be given"

As the words was spoke I felt like my being was on autopilot, "I am Jane, I am vampire of the Volturi coven, I am a being of untouched and untold magic potential of unnamed witch coven, I am and was, but now I will be forever changed by which is neither destiny or fate but what has and always will be, that is who I am and what I am, nothing less and nothing more" I spoke the words that sung in my very being but couldn't speak till this moment, yet it felt true to me as a whole.

"You have spoken the truth, words that hold true to yourself and who you are with the name that's true"

The surroundings began to change once more back to where it was before I saw my memories, it's just that now I was back in my less than incorporeal body, which meant one thing to me that I was back in the world that me and Alec dimensioned hopped to, just that the only difference now is that I'm on my feet as I don't feel or see that I'm stuck on the ground this time around. As I looked around or in the sense that i was just turning round on the spot, I could see that the layout of the area is unchanged apart from the small radius of what looked to be circle shaped but consisted to be two of them, but one of them I was in the middle of, and I could see that my twin was in the other, also standing but not aware, almost like he wasn't conscious, despite standing there. Looking at the ground beneath me and my twin the ground looked like it was hit with, something I could only describe as an atomic bomb level of mass destruction, yet there were hints of something that was on the opposite side of it more colder than sub zero that has a similar effect to intensified heat.

"I see they you forgot the damage that was done to get you both this far"

Flashes of memory hit me of the before when our bodies was being remade to what they are now, "I remember it all, I'm not sure if that was supposed to be torture or what but part of me is glad that it happened as this is the me that I want to be, the only thing I wanna know is, how long till my twin catches up" I asked the voice.

"Ah young Alec, yes it shouldn't be long now, it did take some time for him to decide to go through the memory process that you went through, but time works differently than your used to or expecting, so I can't give a time on how long, you just have to wait it out"

"What do you mean wait it out?, I know we are in no rush but after what I just saw and now know I need my twin……" I said before I was stopped by Alec panting heavily, I launched myself at unknown amount of speed colliding with him, surprising us both with what just happened and what I just did, "Alec" I cried, as Alec hugged me as I wept actual tears, "I know, I know, before we was blind, and unaware of a lot of what we ignored or just wasn't aware of" Alec said as he comforted me. I decided to look up in the dimensions version of a sky, even if it didn't look as one from where we came from, "you knew this would happen, and everything else" Alec spoke very calmly.

"It depends on your perspective. Are you seeing it from your past, your present or your future?Is it something that you want or need to know? Is it that you seek or just of that curious nature?, So many questions, so many answers, all you know, but will not acknowledge"

Cryptic as ever, I didn't need to say it out loud for either of us to understand that or say it, as the voice knew we were thinking that or would say that, as despite how cryptic it's words were it was right about it depending on the perspective of which we saw it all. Before this nothing made sense, yet things still make little sense even now but they at least opened our eyes to view everything in a much clearer perspective than we once had. "We thank you for all that you done, I think we understand enough that we can travel this new path of ours to get us where we must go next in our journey, hopefully we don't fail ourselves or those we wish to protect" I said, I felt as Alec separating himself from me, to which I put my arms back down, allowing him to move freely, "Jane is right, even if we don't feel it, we know your there, even if your not there at the same time, but it wouldn't be our journey to complete if we relied on you to always answer everything we ask, even if your words are cryptic" Alec said. As Alec's words stayed in the air getting quieter and quieter, a small glow of light shone, to reveal two figures, that had no colour but only an outline of a male and female that resemble us, as children, as us now and what we can only assume us in the far future, nodding back at us with approval, before it disappeared in front of our eyes, leaving us alone, once more.

"So it's just us now, we our new forms to get adjusted to as you was faster than you have ever been when you hugged me earlier" Alec said with a smirk, which I just pushed him playfully, which made him fall on his butt, causing me to laugh, "your right our new forms are gonna take some adjustment, as we are not just faster than we was, but looks like we are stronger too" I said, as Alec picked himself up, brushing himself down.

Several years later

Alec's POV

It's been years since we had our new forms, we have learnt so much of what we can do, even if we are still adjusting with the changes, as it wasn't just the boost to our vampiric abilities, and gifts that we had before, our bodies have changed, which was tougher on my twin that it was on myself as I was always slightly taller than she was, so growth spurt to me wasn't that complicated to get used to, Jane still couldn't get a handle being the same height as me or that her hair constantly moved about with its new length, causing it to get in her way of her eyes. The speed and strength took less time to adjust to than it did with previous gifts, as we started learning how fast or strong we was at simple games to test and learn to adjust them to what we needed it for, of course we knew we could increase it all with our new found magic that was the toughest to learn to wield, as it wasn't a flew of a muscle or use of simple words, magic had a will of its own that we still needed to use without making mistakes.

"Alec it's taken some work, which you know I hate, even now, but I found in the tome, to materialise matter into reality, is all about one's mind to concentrate on what they wished to bring forth, the size and quality of what we wish to materialise will depend on how much it will drain the individual that casts the spell" Jane said joyously, as we have been wearing scraps of clothes to keep our dignity and to prevent the weather conditions from bothering us while we work. "That's wonderful news, does the spell require ingredients or anything that we may need or is it just a wording spell that requires us to say the words right without messing it up, as you know that your better at the pronouncing spells than I am" I said as it was the one thing that Jane achieved better than I have is spell work pronunciation, whereas I was far better at with the use of gifts and vampiric abilities. Jane laughed at that, "well it's good that I'm better than you at something, but even then I'm not perfect enough to get it right hundred percent of the time" Jane said with a pout, "good thing is this spell is simple enough for us to get right as it doesn't require anything but just us to repeat these words" Jane added with a small smile.

I grumbled as low as I could, but got a glare from Jane that instantly shut me up as she knew my detest definitely as between us both I was more likely to mess this up even if it was simple. " I know what you're thinking and it be fine, even you can't mess this up, just keep my mind as clear as possible, which is kinda ironic how I'm telling you this when you used to be the one who was the calmest and could have a clear mind all the time" Jane said to me, which she wasn't wrong but it still bugged me slightly, "you worry too much Alec, you need to relax and just go with the flow as you once told me" Jane said to me as she could read every thought I was having, just as I was hearing her thoughts, as she was indeed very calm, but excited too getting some decent clothing, which wasn't something she would often think about, being she wasn't like most of the females in to the coven to think about clothes and how she looked.

"You ready to give this a go, because as much as I detest the feeling of what the female members of our coven think about I just rather have some more fitting clothes that matches our new status while still resembling our previous look from being Volturi guards" Jane said which put a image in my head that, Jane looked at me with a smile to show she agreed with the choice of clothing that I was thinking of, "now hold onto that picture in your mind and I'll do the rest of it, as if this works then that be our best bet to getting round your struggles of spell work for the time being" Jane said, which I nodded while holding onto the image, as Jane held my hands as she spoke the words in the language of old and ancients. As Jane spoke the words again and with each word spoken I could feel clothing materialising on us, which must have been Jane's doing as I could only hazard a guess that it was supposed to be in front of us but she must have tweaked it a little so it dressed us instead. With the final word spoken we was clothes exactly as I pictured in my mind and Jane panted softly as she let go of my hands before she turned towards me with a weak smile, "I took majority of the pressure of the spell so being that we are still quite new to spell work, it took more out of me due to it, hopefully you get a hang of it and it will become easier the more we keep trying these, but the main thing is that we at least look as better now that we aren't half naked with just the scraps of cloth that we originally had" Jane said catching her breath every so often but looking very pleased with herself.

Several hours later

We started to try other spells together that took a few more tries from me to pick up but as we repeatedly tried the same ones until it became second nature it kept us both occupied and helped me to get a hang of it, with each attempt we did. "So brother wanna give those spells a test drive with some of the creatures that hurt us the last time, that's if you feel you got a hang of those spells enough to do some damage otherwise we can keep going till you feel you have perfected them" Jane asked, looking worried as she knew that the last time we encountered them in our fragile vampire shells, I got badly hurt, but this time it be different I just feel it, "no I'm fine to do this, I know that I haven't perfected all the elemental spells but I'm sure with some live targets that should change with the right incentive, as you know that I don't like trying them out on you, your my twin sister after all" I said, "thanks Alec that means a lot, but as much as I'm happy that you feel that way, we do have to get serious now and try to forget that and learn and train together like we would if we was with someone like Demetri or one of the others, otherwise we are never gonna be strong enough to do our job to protect Isabella, the three kings or any of our friends, so trust me when I say that you got to stop holding back and take everything seriously so we can be out best" Jane said looking very serious and I could tell she ment every word but was also thinking in her head that she felt bad for how she said it as she didn't want to hurt my feelings but wanted me to be my best too.

"Okay let's do this" I said with a smirk, as I formed a football sized fireball that was hotter than lava, so if something like that hot could incinerate humans and most likely vampires too, I wonder what the damage it could do to these creatures that must be made of tougher skin, let's just hope they die as quickly as their temper is to attack anything that is nearby to them. I smiled at my sister, to which she smiled back, "let's go" Jane said before we got ourselves into what we call a walk but to everyone else it would appear to be just wind moving very quickly as our speed was unmatched, or it will be when we tested our might on these creatures.

As we stopped near a nest of a family of these creatures that consisted of six of them in total, we could only guess from the distance we chose as we wanted to be as far as possible to avoid detection until we felt at ease to get to them without getting hurt again. Just by our observations we could tell that at least two of them must have been fully grown adults while the other four were either children or young adults, just by observing their size difference. The two adults must have been at least over or just under the three thousand foot tall, much larger than the ones we came across on our first time in this dimension, but the smaller four was roughly the same in size to each other but still slightly bigger than the ones we met, as they must be about two thousand foot tall or slightly smaller. Despite their humongous size difference they didn't seem that tough, as they had a few scars on their bodies from fighting with each other or others of their kind, so it did prove to us that they can be hurt, which did make us smile to each other as we both must have looked at each other as we thought the same thought at the exact time.

"So what's the plan? Should we try and get one away from the others and attack together or hit them all at the same time? As being that there's only two of us compared to other battles we took part in we are short on hand of other ways to go about this" I said as I kept my eyes on the family of six, "I wouldn't say this is a plan that I'm forming in my head, as you can hear me thinking it through" Jane said, "but I do have a idea, which what you said about getting one away from the others does tie in to what I was originally thinking anyway, as even if we do that, we need to ensure that the others stay away just longer enough for us to see how much damage we can do to one of them before we can either retreat or take one the others, as unlike some animals from our world, these don't act like a pack of wolves or certain other animals way of working together, which seems almost human like to a degree" Jane explained, which the more we watched and thought together we knew we didn't have long till we have to put the plan in action to see how we faired.

As the plan required of us to disperse the group so we could get one of them to move from the group to test out our plan, I used my personal favourite spell the fireball, kept it to the size of a football but held one in each hand to launch one after another in a sort of scatter shot like motion, as we knew that was the best tactic to get a group to scatter and hoped it works for this group too. As I threw fireball after another using left to right hand constantly switching them, I found that even creatures from a different dimension scatters just as well, but I had to wait for Jane's signal to switch to a different element to get the one we hoped would be out test dummy, as despite scattering the group we still had them in pairs and we really needed just one alone not two.

After we got two small ones away further enough from the others, I saw Jane throw ice spike which I knew was the signal I was waiting for, as she used the opposite of what element I was using as the perfect signal as she must have used whatever she was doing to get the other four away from the two that we isolated. As I now went from scattered shots to more direct shots I just had to hope that Jane knew what she was doing otherwise we will have to take two instead of one, unless she has gotten more braver and wants to test on two, but either way I just hope that we are stronger enough to kill them, from such a huge distance as if we have to get closer then it could be more dangerous.

Remembering one of Carlisle's boring talks about certain weak points in the human body, and Demetri's training I aimed my fireballs at the joints that even at this distance shouldn't be too difficult to aim towards if I put enough force and power into each shot. As I charged two shots at the legs of one of the creatures, I saw that it hit but not as much as I hoped as I saw that it landed the shot but didn't knock the creature to its knees, but then I saw something at the creature's legs began to steam up, or that's what it looked like. As I shot another two at the same place I saw that it went from steaming up to now burning through the kneecaps like hot knife through butter as the effects of the fireballs must have a delayed response from the distance I was at, either that or like my sister has told me numerous that I need to just let go and not hold back, as that is a problem I suffer the most and it's only now that I'm regretting it.

I could hear Jane's voice, filling me with a calming sensation to know that she is doing okay just wished I could respond back, "Jane I can hear you, I don't think we are doing much to them, I've managed to burn through the kneecaps of one of them, but I can't seem to do much as it takes more than two tried attempts to just do that, I'm not sure if I'm too far away to do much damage or if it's just me holding back still as it just feels too natural that I don't know how to not hold back" I mind speak to Jane, not sure if she heard me but it felt good to just say it,

"Of course I heard you, the thing that you need to understand more for yourself than anything brother, is that our power isn't dependent on the distance that we use it, it's only dependent on us alone, because what we have is not just what we got from our vampiric upbringing or just our upbringing as what we originally thought was human life, we got it all in one big, powerful package, so if you have to break every mental wall that you built, consciously or unconsciously, then destroy it, because if you don't, you won't be able to reach the full extent of what we can truly do" Jane mind spoke to me, leaving me to my own thoughts, as she didn't say anything else for a reason or just wanted me to think about what she said to decide what I intend to do now, as it's not like I can say my twin is wrong or misunderstood, because with this connection we have now and even how we have always been by each other's side, since day one, she knows me just as much as I know her, so with all that she told me, I had to decide and quickly as otherwise I could screw us both over if the other creatures arrive and find us harming their family members.

As I began to form a ball of molten lava, in the same way I formed the fire ball, I put all my worries and thoughts into making it grow in strength and power as internally I was breaking my mental walls down one by one, and as I did the ball I held in my hand grew bigger, hotter and more power radiating from it, as I also grew in confidence as my worries began to drip out, bit by bit. With each wall I broke, I also began to feel myself more connected to my new form, experiencing exactly what my twin felt and is always feeling, which made me feel like a new me all over again. I closed my eyes, taking three deep breaths, which was unnecessary but felt right, as soon as I took the last breath, my eyes shot open, as I released that ball I was holding at such speed, it destroyed both creatures to oblivion like it was nothing compared to what I originally did which did hardly anything, but what I just saw the damage I did, was incredible.

I felt a rush of strong wind of a tornado just stop right alongside me, seeing Jane smiling even more than a cheshire cat, which was kinda creeping me out, yet part of me knew she hasn't felt this happy at seeing me accomplish something of this magnitude in a very long time, but also that I felt this great at what I accomplished. "How do you feel now?, just think that the more we practise on this creatures, with different spells, from the most basic ones that we can do now, to the most powerful one that we haven't even started on that this tome can teach us, alongside the artefacts that it speaks of that we can find in this and many other dimensions to increase our power and abilities to untouched areas, that no one has ever reached, that it will make us the most powerful creature in any dimension we go to, so we can protect Isabella without worrying about her at all" Jane explained.

"Artefacts?" I asked, "how much have you read of what it's revealed, as you seem very well versed of this tome, so what else has it shown?, has it revealed any other details that we should know about that can help us protect Isabella from her enemies as you know as well as I do that no one is free of enemies definitely after what it took for her to arrive to us" I said as I was confused and curious about what this tome knew and why it only shows something to someone when it pleases."those are fair points to make, but I can only tell you or think about what I already know, not just that it's not like we are going in this completely blind, as you know as well as I do, that our list of enemies grows constantly with how long we stood beside the three kings, plus I've suspected that things are happening behind the shadows for awhile that even makes the kings oblivious to it" Jane stated, with plenty of the same curiosity that I had but hers was more content for the moment.

As we begin to walk back to where we originally stayed at to test our new forms, to which we called our home and base, my mind began to wander, "do you ever wonder if this ancient war that is connected to Isabella, will actually end this time around or will it just repeat itself later on down the line, that if we don't survive, it will turn the world to a shadow of what it is currently or what it used to be if this is just the beginning of what this war is doing?" I mused to myself out loud, then my mind turned to something else, "this ancient war, who started it, how long has it been happening, is it possible to reverse it with our new forms and abilities" I mumbled. "Alec all your questions and mumblings may be fair points to make but there's not much we can do till we master our forms enough for us to get that information" Jane spoke to me, with understanding and sincerity, we both stopped as I looked at my twin, "I understand that I really do, but even you got to admit that, how long do we have to spend away from her and everyone before that time is right where we have mastered them, because when we left she was still a baby" I explained with frustration coating my voice, Jane sighed, " I don't actually know Alec, I wish I could say I do, but I don't, but we made a promise to Jasper, that we see this through no matter how long it took, as long as we do our part, he do his and protect his mate till we return to do our part" Jane said sadly as I didn't need to see or her sadness to understand that she was just feeling the same as me but just tried to keep it hidden so we can do what we originally planned and promised.

Several months later

Not much was spoken between us for those months that passed after what we said about our return date, the only time we spoke out loud was when we were taking down the creatures with new skills, powers, spells or abilities that we learnt that we wanted to test out. Both of us got better and better where we even started to talk more in our minds than out loud as it made more strategic sense so we couldn't be heard by anyone but ourselves, which made stealth easier, we even managed to get closer to the creatures that we took down and learnt to put our new abilities to do flip them over us or any other little tricks we used, which was both amusing and thrilling to accomplish.

"So what's today's plan, sis?" I mind spoke with enthusiasm that I never used when I was just a weak vampire, "well I want to try something else that we have been putting off now for a few weeks, that I mentioned to you months ago, do you remember those artefacts I said about" Jane replied back, "I remember you saying about them, didn't know if we was doing it this soon or wanted to wait longer to attempt them, as I know you said that each one has a guardian and some odd task, riddle or question that had to be done to gain entry, to get them" I said, "well that's the thing, these creatures that we been killing, testing on and even feasted on, are becoming more child's play than being anything of a decent fight like they used to be one time, so what do you think want to give this a go instead for a change of pace" Jane explained. Nothing took long to think about as we shared thoughts as quickly as we thought them now, it didn't mean we didn't have separate thoughts, it just meant we was always on the same wavelength about three quarters of the time we had anything to think about, so my response didn't surprise either of us, "let's do it" I said with a smile as I picked up a bone that onced belongs to one of the creatures we killed that we use to draw circles with for spells to track them or for other things we find uses for their bones as we have so many of them from the amount we have killed, very rarely leaving any to live.

As we prepared ourselves for a journey of untouched and untold origins, we only the tome and ourselves after much debating on if we should bring any bottles of blood with us that we have collected from the creature that we have thought needed a name for what they can be just like the ones from our world, because as much as calling them beasts, creatures and ect, they still deserved some respect as we haven't killed them out of existence just yet, even if it was tempting at times. We decided to call them something as simple as their brains they lack, as they resembled close enough to goblins, yet had hybrid of both a giant and a Puckwudgie, so they definitely didn't have good looks to favour them in their genes, so due to all that a Gobwuriese, just seems suitable of course we did go back and forth on other alternatives but eventually the name stuck. The blood we gathered from them wasn't the most horrible tasting but it definitely didn't taste like some other creatures that existed in our world, but it definitely satisfied our blood lust that we rarely felt as much as we did as regular vampires, so we took that as a huge positive.

After what only took less than a single half a second, as our speed has increased so much that we could do anything super fast that we make the fastest vampire look like a turtle, "ready" I said, "even had time to put the spell together to help locating the location of where we need to go, which reacts as quickly as we do, so we don't have to slow down unless we choose to" Jane responded back just as quickly as I said ready, "excellent as if we have to slow down, then we be waiting even longer to get ourselves the first of many artefacts" I replied back just as quickly, that waiting for responses seemed to never take long when it was just us both, "well the artefacts numbers that I've counted is only this one, but I doubt it is, and that after each one we be given a new one afterwards or we be told how many in the near future, it's even better that we can respond to each other as quickly as one of us finishes that it feels like a flowing sentence that doesn't stop till we choose to finish speaking" Jane explained, with a smile, "that's right, even though I do miss the others as I'm sure they have plenty to say, but having a flowing conversation that doesn't stop between us does make sense as we can move to our destination while talking within our minds" I said as we was moving in the directions of the spell that gives us a tug to let us know to change direction as we move so quickly it should take us mere minutes to arrive unless we approach something else besides Gobwuriese.

Within only a couple real time minutes, we arrived to see temple that resembled something Egyptian, as there stood two guards that was most certainly Egyptian as it was Anubis but seemed to be two of the same thing, the only difference is that these was made out of some sort of stone, but nothing I could describe but that of this worlds flooring, which wasn't easy to destroy, that we have worked out many times it's definitely a strong substitute for that of earth's ground. As we etched closer to Anubis one and two as we couldn't think of what the plural term would be for more than one, they didn't move till the exact moment we was a hair inch from the doorway, with their spears down in a cross like motion, causing us both to back away, so they went back to their prior position. "What do you suggest, as I doubt we can pass them by speed alone, and if they are made of the same as this surface of this dimension, we have no chance of breaking them down to rubble" I asked, as I looked to Jane for an idea, which was the first time we actually have a pause between us with nothing said after, as we both was thinking and planning at such a fast pace, it would make anyone else dizzy. "I got it" Jane said suddenly, making me jump from how suddenly it was, "got what, I think I missed something with how quickly we was thinking and reading each other, that I'm lost so catch me up again what you got" I said quickly, "easy we don't try anything that's gonna cause damage or to get pass them, we got to try speaking to them as remember what I said, before that they may ask a questions, riddles or give us a task to do, to gain entry" Jane explained, "ok" I said, "well maybe this is one of those, let me speaking first" Jane said as she stood near their feet, where they stood unmoved as she stands at the front of their feet, looking up, "we have come to gain entry" Jane called out, several seconds passed with no response, before Jane grumbled, "we seek entry through that doorway that you refuse us from going through" Jane called out even louder this time, waiting this time minutes with no response, Jane was getting more annoyed, but I stayed where I was as I knew she wanted to do this, "want me to join you, or you still want to do it alone, maybe that's the task?" I mind spoke, watching and listening for a response, as less than a second I saw her nod.

As I moved towards my twin standing side by side we decided to speak as one, "allow us entry to which we seek, as we tire the wait that we have been forced upon" we spoke together, that we sounded as a single being. Thunder struck the ground thrice, causing the ground to shake with each hit the thunder striking the ground, " What is the purpose of life?" Both of the Anubis spoke together, I looked at Jane as she looked at me not needing to speak or talk within our minds as we both knew what this was. "Does that question even have an answer? As I'm pretty sure it is one that can only be defined by the individual, about the purpose of life, unless I'm mistaken or not understanding the question, what do you think?" I said through our mind link as it didn't seem appropriate to speak all this out loud, as for one we can communicate this way more quickly and effectively, but also it would seem rude if we questioned their question, "well it be stupid of us to assume it doesn't have one, when they asked us it, as it would make this whole thing kinda pointless after all if that was the case, but to as to what I think, there's a lot to what I think it could be or what they want us to say, for now I'm uncertain to how we answer this without some kind of penalty of sorts" Jane explained, which made loads of sense and made us both thinking for awhile how we are gonna go about it.

We stood at the exact spot for what must have been hours, neither us or them moving as we went back and forth on what the answer could be or what they expected as an answer, as it wasn't the easiest to just answer and walk through, as it just seemed to keep us guessing and debating what to do about it. "If I was to ask for a hint or to change the question, would that be possible?" I asked as if it was something that was bugging me, and I wanted to ask if it was at all possible, but only getting silence in response, which gave me an answer in itself, meaning we answer the question given or never be given entry.

With nothing else to lose but time waiting, I thought I give it a go at answering the question, hoping I would get I correctly right away, knowing that Jane wouldn't stop me as she insisted we wait as she wanted to be sure, but also won't stop just in the small percentage that I did get it right, so I stood tall and look up to them, due to the height difference to us just like Gobwuriese are, "the purpose of life depends on the individual as not all of us feel we have one, those of us that does find our purposes later in life, or sometimes earlier in life, depending on how long we live, but as for the purpose it's changes just as we get older, that's what I think is the answer to the purpose of life" I said loudly enough that in assume they can hear every word I spoke, "incorrect!" Anubis's spoke, which followed by sound of my sister in pain, which caused me to turn to see that her arm was lying on the ground. "What happened sis, how did your arm just fall to the ground?" I asked concerned for my twin as I didn't want her to be harmed, as we both assumed before that only the one who spoke would be harmed not the other way round. "It's nothing that a bit of reattachment won't fix, alongside some blood that we brought with us" Jane said trying to ease my worrying and to calm me down, as it made me angry when she gets harmed and she was harmed by myself providing the incorrect answer, "this is why I insisted before that we don't rush answering as we both had a small suspicion that this could happen just not the way it happened, so no rushing this time" Jane explained with concern in her tone but also slight pain too.

As Jane attached her arm and drank a few gulps of blood her arm looked as good as new, all except for the arm of the cloak that she wore, which had a clean line of where it was sliced cleanly off. "I think that you was close in your answer but as they said also incorrect, in which that something is missing, but I think I may be able to answer it correctly while also intertwining your answer into my own just as we spoke as one this answer requires both answers from us to be right and honest" Jane stated, Jane did exactly as I did before but this time spoke a silent spell of protection around myself leaving her unprotected, as she knew only I would be affected if she answered or we hoped that was gonna be what will happen, because if we was wrong then it could be worse than losing an arm. "I think I have the answer you seek to allow us entry inside" Jane spoke in the same volume as I did before, only this time the guardians reaction was different, "speak!" Anubis's said in a louder tone to that became deafening, which does speak a lot to their strength. "When you asked us the purpose of life is, it is difficult to give it one answer that all can agree on, but for life has no meaning in itself, as life only provides opportunities for the individual to explore and find that which gives them what most call a purpose" Jane explained, "whereas a purpose is similar, yet different as it depends on us to strive towards that we seek, for us our purposes is to use our new forms to its limits, then break those limits again and again, so we can protect those we wish to protect but also to stop those that wish harm on that we call home" Jane added, "so the purpose of life is based on each of us to evolve, learn and grow as an individual to meet what purpose we set ourselves, I hope that's the answer you seek as that question isn't the easiest to provide an answer to" Jane continued with a smirk towards me. "Acceptable answer, you may proceed" both Anubis's spoke, which we didn't wish to stay any longer than necessary, so we ran fast straight in stopping with awe as the inside quite a sight to behold.

The room we stood seemed to be covered by thousands of thousands of gems, ranging from the most common gems to the most rarest of them, which I wasn't sure if this was task or the artefact was hidden somewhere in here for us and we had to search the whole place just to get it. "This wasn't what I expected, but I'm also not disappointed either" I said, "you're not wrong but I sense that this is a task that you thought about when you saw all this, and I think I agree it might be" Jane replied back, we walked casually around the room being mindful not to pick up any of the gems, until we was certain if this was a task or not to see if we was worthy of the artefact.

"A celestial gem, the colour of the midnight sky,

With a shimmering glow that catches the eye.

Mystery and protection, I am believed to provide,

A traveller's companion, through the darkness, I'll be your guide." the room vibrated with the sound of that of the Anubis again.

"So it's a riddle this time no wonder it was too good to be true with this room absolutely covered by thousands of thousands of gems, I just knew something wasn't right about it" I said feeling slightly annoyed as I was hoping for a easier time getting the first artefact, but I guess I shouldn't assume when it comes to what our end goal is to be. "Your right you shouldn't assume, it's why I'm learning and still trying to make sure that I always remember that nothing on our path to our goal is gonna be easy or what it appears to be, because everything is certainly gonna be a task for us to complete, even if it's not always obvious or just there to tempt us to fail" Jane assured me with a explanation that I knew made perfect sense but also proved how much more I've got to learn about our path we are taking, as it definitely seems that my twin is ahead and I'm lagging behind, as I'm still haven't fully understood our situation, even when I tell myself that I do understand it, feels just like how humans must feel like everyday of their small lives, thinking they understand or know something for it to change the next, what they would call walking on eggshells, always on guard of what's next to change. "You okay there Alec that's some thoughts you are having, and I wouldn't say your lagging behind as if anything it's just taking sometime for everything to settle in, as we both are still new to our forms as it's only been months, it takes a year for a newborn vampire to learn and grow, so why should it be the same for us, as you should know that feeling when you was a newborn vampire, because it's not even a year into this so there's always time for you, to catch up as you called it, and then you be on the same page as me just as we have always been on the same page throughout our lives" Jane explained, quite detailed too, " before I forget remember I was the one who was lagging behind majority of our newborn years even if it may appeared the other way round depending on how someone sees it, as a newborn vampire I always felt lagging even if I did enjoy what my gift did to the others who irritated, or angered me" Jane added with a smile.

Riddles was definitely not our strong subject that we was good at, but seeing that we was surrounded by gems, we took that as a clue to help us with the answer, just hoping that wasn't being timed as that would have put a damper on how amazing the room looked with the lights flickering off the difference coloured gems. "Just a thought if we did pick up any of these gems that wouldn't be taken as our answer would it, as I'm only guessing with the thoughts we been thinking about to answer this riddle, which I hate by the way, but they would require a verbal answer just as before unless I'm wrong, which I really do hope not" I said with worry as I don't want to be harmed just as much as I don't want my twin to be harmed again but my incorrect answering, "well if the before was a verbal answer, I'll have to agree with you being it will require again a verbal answer, so it should be safe bet to pick the gems up, but I will say, be careful which you do pick up, just in the certainty we are wrong and they are trapped to trigger something in this room, as I be damned if something in this room tried to kill us" Jane mentioned, while agreeing with me, it made me happy as if I was gonna pick up any of them I was gonna be careful, not trusting how the temptation in this room already has been for us.

As the seconds turned to minutes, and hoping we can get out of this room as soon as possible, more due to boredom now that we think in less than a second and move quicker than that too, so it does make time more slow and boring when you have a riddle that feels impossible to have answer for. "Jane why does this riddle feel…." I said but stopped as I think I just worked it out, it was obvious, "what do you mean obvious, wait I think I just worked it out now that your thinking on it" Jane said as she must have worked out what I just worked out, "after you Alec, this is your turn, as you got it before me" Jane said clearly pleased that I worked it out just mid-sentence of one of my ramblings of thought.

As I moved quickly throughout the room to find the gem I was looking for or more specifically a moonstone, as it seemed way to obvious that they give us a riddle to something that resembled our old life as vampires, that spend so much time in the night, with the moon up in the sky, every night we look at it, and it surprised me how much that a room full of gemstones, would also contain a single moonstone that has the colour of the midnight sky, which makes it celestial of the moon goddess of the night, which provides us with protection from the sun, that while hidden during the day gives us mystery to the secrets it hides. As I finally found the moonstone that gives off the shimmering glow that catches my eye, it makes me glad that its been out companion throughout our entire vampire existence,to guide us to this very day and help us through the darkness that tries to get into our hearts of our darkest hours.

"You heard all that right, as I know you can hear our thoughts too, but want us to think we are alone, not being watched, giving us things to tempt us to fail but to also shine a light on our past and take us to our future on the path we are meant for" I said out loud lifting up the moonstone that I just found hidden amongst the other gemstones such as rubies, quartz, emeralds and even diamonds, but with so many gemstones there was only one moonstone in this room, which was surprisingly obvious even if we thought it impossible. "You have found your prize, now be ready for your final task" the voice spoke which sounded the same as those giant Anubis's, so maybe this final task was the real thing or just something of the same as we have done to get this far.

Feeling my twin walk up to me, then hug me, "well done Alec, I knew you could do it" Jane said before letting me go, "I will beat you on the next task" Jane said as she punched my shoulder playfully. We then started to walk to a door that appeared out of nowhere, with nothing to tell us what to expect of the next room or how long the door way truly was. As we took a step inside the darked doorway, we walked a few steps before we suddenly just started falling so far down it felt bottomless. After several minutes of falling, we eventually started to see a light at the very bottom, which we tried to turn ourselves upright to prepare for the landing, while still holding on to the moonstone in my hand, as it was the prize but also I didn't know what it was supposed to do either, but I felt that I shouldn't drop it just to be certain that it may serve a purpose.

As we landed at the very bottom, the only way to describe this room, was it definitely was Egyptian, with three stone tombs on each side of the large room, hieroglyphics surrounded the entirety of the walls and that Anubis in flesh and bone sat at a single throne watching us, unmoved but clearly aware of our presence. "So you made it, I did have my suspicions that you would been torn to sunder at the doorway, by my guardians of myself, or tempted by the other gemstones and been destroyed by the many traps that would have been sprung if you choose the wrong one, but it pleases me nevertheless that you got here in almost one piece, so it must mean your ready for the final task to activate that moonstone artefact, that you are holding" Anubis explained looking very happy while also serious at the exact time which made this whole atmosphere daunting, "so was my twin correct when he said you can hear our thoughts throughout the entire time we been in the temple" Jane asked curiously, "yes and no, yes I could hear all your thoughts in my temple, but not now if you both was wondering that, as I can only hear them when I'm on my throne here, and when you was in my temple" Anubis explained, which bugged me because wasn't we still in the temple, "your both confused, I can tell by your facial reactions to what I said, I'll explain more for you both, each guardian of the temple has a set skill set, but when we sit on our thrones we can read the minds of the beings who are in our temples, when you leave the temple of our of it, per day, we don't hear anything but what we are able to normally" Anubis explained further, guessing our reactions haven't changed, Anubis sighed, "still not satisfied okay, I continue, where we are now is separate from the temple, as soon as you went through that doorway earlier the connection to hear your thoughts ended there, so I had to wait awhile for you both to enter through that black hole in the ceiling up there" Anubis said as he pointed to where we just come through.

"Well we understand all that now, thank you for explaining that, but fill us in on what you meant by the moonstone artefact not being activated yet, and how is it the artefact and not something a bit more Egyptian like your temple and this room seems to be" I asked, because as much as we was pleased we found the artefact, it did give us something to ge confused about with its appearance and also not knowing what it does either, "very well, artefacts of any that you obtain, all have a purpose to what they can do for you, but also what they appear to you is of your own making, as you should have guessed by now with you both being part vampire, creatures of the night, and due to that moonstone was ideal for you both, so I sought a riddle that was both obvious as you called it, but also something that suited your needs when you know how to use it, after it's activation" Anubis said, "before you ask the obvious question, the activation can only be given when you passed the final task, which is to defeat me in combat, by a death blow of whatever you desire as I can't actually be destroyed entirely as I exist in this plane of existence until my services isn't needed by the one who gave me this job" Anubis explained looking irritated to not enjoying his job or something else entirely. "Last question before you start this task of ours, are we the first to get this far or have there been others" Jane asked, which I smiled as I was gonna ask that but she beat me to it, "your not the first to get to this final task but are that of the second, but the one before you who made it hear, never made it pass me, but perished instead, I will not say more now, so let's get on with it, unless you wish to perish too" Anubis said before he stood up, standing about the same height as us both.

"Ready?" Anubis asked looking prepared and determined for a good fight.

"Ready" both of us replied back with the same determination, as we wanted to prove how far we have come in all of our training, but to also prove that Demetri's training hasn't been wasted either as we still like to practice his training methods alongside our own training methods too, so we have our own fighting styles that complements us as individuals, as well as twins.

With the three of us ready we all began to circle the only difference is that with the two of us we had the clear advantage in numbers, "probably best to not attack just yet so if we keep circling him, we should be able to pick up a weakness to aim at, as unknown of a fighter and from the looks of a spearman, he's more of a long distance fighter and probably has skills that would make using spells null and void" I mind spoke, as using our minds to communicate, was our only advantage, now that he can't read our minds now, "very true it is our only advantage that he can't comprehend, but we still got to keep our minds sharp for any surprises he have up his sleeves, because I don't think he's as almost naked as he appears, I think he has something to protect that naked skin that we are seeing, so no sudden attacks till we can even get him to strike first, or if we can attack him without leaving us vulnerable" Jane responded back, "agreed, exactly what Demetri taught us, to never attack unless we are sure we aren't going to leave ourselves vulnerable to attack, unless it's a last resort that can end the fight to save the kings, or in our case those we wish to protect at all costs" I added, while getting a nod from Jane in response.

"Ah I see you both have intelligence to not strike first on a unknown opposition unless you have knowledge about them first, very smart, but it won't help you circling forever, as I will break your circling and take another win under my none existent belt of my victory" Anubis said sounding very confident with how thinks this will go, but I guess even myself and my sister was filled with the same confidence that Anubis was, so I couldn't be judgemental with being a hypocrite. "Big words for someone with a dog for a head" I said trying to get a reaction out of him so I could see how fast he was, as so far he's done nothing but circling in the middle of me and Jane as we circled him trying to defend himself if we choose to attack, which neither of us have attack one another, as it felt more of a stand off, which I intended to break. "A dog, ha if I haven't heard that before, next your gonna start barking trying to get a rise out of me, try better, or better yet try something more original and not childish" Anubis said keeping calm, which made me feel annoyed at my failed attempt for a reaction, while Jane just chuckled, "not sure why your chuckling, at least your twin attempted something instead of being silent, I thought I was here for a good fight, but hear I am being circled by children in adult bodies" Anubis said which got what he wanted as both me and Jane felt and thought the exact same thing to go high and the other low, to stop the circling but also to prove we are no mere children.

As we moved in super speed, ten times faster than we was as a vampire, not out maximum but we decided to test this speed first, to determine how fast he was at blocking us both, as my twin went high and I went low with a leg sweep which Anubis just stood there with my leg landing again his legs, study and unmoved, while Jane's hitting high got blocked by his spear that also seemed as study and undamaged from how much strength was put in that hit alone, surprising us both that he may not have moved like we assumed but he was strong for sure, and his spear was definitely not made of ordinary wood as it looks makes it look easy to destroy or break. "Ha you both are fast, faster than I thought you both was, which means you both will keep me entertained longer enough to see what you both do when your not holding back, because you hold back you don't stand a chance against the others" Anubis said in a jokingly but also serious tone, his words hit hard, which says alot as he's only blocked us and so far we haven't seen him done much to fight, almost like he was testing us, just as much as we was to him when we held back going full speed and strength to see if he fight back, so it looks like we all have to start taking this seriously, just luckily enough we don't have to worry about losing breath or getting tired, both traits that w are thankful to keep from our vampiric side.

"What now, we all know that holding back won't help us in the long run, alongside that, he blocked us like it was nothing to him, so whoever was before us, despite losing their life, either wasn't as strong as us or was and that's why he seems less worried about our strength, but we must have been faster than the last opponent as he definitely was surprised by how fast we went even if we held back" i explained, "true, so let's take a different approach, have you noticed that if one of us uses a variety of spells to attack him, he have to use that spear to defend himself, which should leave a small percentage of a chance for the other to attack physically, like we attempted but this time not holding back, but if we break that spear it should leave him more defenseless and easier to deal a death blow as he said that's the only way to win this final task" Jane explained with her idea that did look plausible but I felt something about it won't work and I knew that she knew that too as no matter what she can hear me thinking this too, "sorry sis, but part of me thinks that this idea of yours may not work out, the way you intend, you mind if I adjust it slightly to fix the issue I have" I added while slightly asking too, as we was a team, we do everything together or not at all, which always sounds cheesy if one of us says it out loud, "agreed, so what do you have in mind?" Jane said smiling as it was always good if one of us can fix the others miscalculations in our plans that we make or have made in the past, which is why we are victorious majority of the time.

"So it's agreed?" I said, Jane nodded as we put our new idea into action, as we both sped of backwards to the corners of the room, using one or my second favourite spell in action to cover a single parameter of area in complete darkness, yet allowing the user and those the user to see through it, which in this case was myself and my sister, making it harder for Anubis to tell where we will come from to attack. "Ah it seems you both are the ones who don't give up that easily, seeing that you both are trying something else and quite creative too, can't wait to see how this plays out" Anubis said with a chuckle, clearly pleased with our strategy so far even if this is only the beginning of what we have in store. "Phase two" I said, as both of us sent fully charged electrical volts up towards the ceiling to create a thunderstorm effect, to get Anubis to move from his spot or to defend his spot by avoiding the hits from above. As we predicted he did the latter, protecting his spot from above leaving his lower half defenceless, but we still haven't finished yet, as I set loose a frosty mist of cold and ice to the ground to make the ground slippery.

"Phase three" Jane said, as now we have the slippery ground and the fake but feels very real thunderstorm, it has given us our best shot for close up combat, as we launched ourselves like inhuman rockets from the wall to rebound from wall to wall, ricocheting effect so it makes our movements hard to guess where we are coming from except for us two, as we using our mind link to slightly avoid each other but let the other know when we hit. As I rebound from the wall aiming just chest height of Anubis, that we have a clear sight despite the darkness that covers the room, I hit him square in the best, getting several pain sounds from Anubis as I'm also punching him thousands of times a millisecond, before I use Anubis to rebound off kicking him square in his dog faces jaw, landing on a nearby wall clinging to it waiting for Jane to follow up. "Nice moves Alec, now it's my turn" Jane said as she came in even faster than I did, with a smirk on her face as she repeated what I did but on his back getting grunts, "well played you two, very sneaky but I'm not finished yet, unless you both have something else up your sleeves planned" Anubis said as I could see he was picking himself up, while still getting hit by the remaining thunder that was still striking.

As the darkness began to clear, and the fake thunderstorm ended, we both could see that Anubis still held his smile, despite the grunting of pain, holding his spear proudly for what would be described as round three. With speed that rivalled our own, we now became on the defensive, just barely avoiding hits of the spear head and the bottom of the spear which is just as deadly at the speed it was being thrusted at and spun like a propeller, which shows that Anubis was a master and very deadly. "Any ideas as there's only so much we can be on the defensive because eventually he will break through, we can't try what we already done as he expect that, so we need something else, but we have to be just as quick to do it as we are at the dodging that we just barely avoiding" I explained while continuing to dodge which was getting tougher as every so often he change up pattern that I was counting to try and get out of the trap of being on the defence. "Not a idea but a risk if you have none others that is worth a shot, the only thing is one of us has to take the hit just got to hope that it's not a death blow or anything as I'm not sure how durable our bodies still are in this form but also against his spear" Jane said, and I knew that being on the defence only works for so long so if this risk pays off then I'm all in, "I'm in, I'll take the hit, but just don't miss as this is the our best chance to take the win" I said with a weak smile as I had a feeling it was gonna hurt but I felt like I deserved to take this hit after I got her arm taken off from before, even when she told me to not take it so seriously and that she is fine.

As I slowed my dodging just slightly not to give it away that something was up but to allow him to hit me, just enough to survive the encounter but to also allow Jane time to make a move, as Anubis came in with a hit to the my left and right side as I've noticed he always tries to hit twice on both of us, just that this time he did get two hits on me, but I had a idea of my own to give Jane the extra time to get her move into action, as I held the spear head on my right with all my strength, to prevent him from moving it. "How do you like that, can't move your spear if I have a tight grip on it" I said with a grunt of pain as I was holding on to it so tightly against my side, I felt the spear digging in. "Maybe so but for how long do you intend to hold it when you will lose your grip with each push I'm doing instead of pulling it back to me" Anubis said, grinning as he went from pulling his spear back to pushing further into my side, causing me incredible agony.

At the corner of my eye, I could see that Anubis was paying attention to me so much, twisting his spear so much, yet I couldn't help but smile, as I saw Jane move so quickly, but her fluidity was awe inspiring as it was so graceful, even when she was moving so quickly, that I'm sure was faster than we thought possible, which suprised us both. As she got into position right behind Anubis, who was still completely unaware of it, "actually he only intends to last longer enough so I could be where I am now, behind you with a perfectly placed fire blast, that with one wrong move will burst right through you and destroying your heart instantaneously" jane said as she smiled towards me, as I smiled back weakly, "maybe so but I still take the win as I would have taken one of you, so you only be half as strong as you would have been if your twin isn't where he is now" Anubis said, smirking, "do it" I said in the mind.

Seeing Jane's hesitation, hearing her thoughts of worries and what would happen if she did go through with this or didn't go through with it, I assumed from Anubis's next words he sensed the hesitation too and guessed for why it took so long for her to go through with it too, "can't do it can you, luckily I can end a life without hesitation" Anubis said, as he pulled the spear out of my hands and was gonna go for the finisher, as his arms held high ready to end me with a stab to the heart, so I closed my eyes not wanting to witness my death or see Jane's sad face, I heard a gasp.

"Alec open your eyes, it's all over now" Jane's voice spoke, I didn't open out of worry that I'm already dead and just imagining it all.

"Alec your not dead, so open your eyes because your not gonna believe this, and this is no dream that can make this look real enough to think you was dreaming this very moment, and I should know as I've heard all that you want in your dreams, so open those damn eye balls" Jane said even louder this time.

As I began to open my eyes, several things surprised me. Anubis seemed to be sitting on his throne once more, with a burning hole where his heart was supposed to be, while also reattaching his head from the looks of it too. Jane on the other hand was standing next to me holding onto Anubis's spear, bloodied, twirling it around and testing to see if she should keep it or not. "Okay can everyone back up and tell me what I missed as I feel something has happened and despite what I thought I knew something happened anyway" I asked, Jane looked at me pleased with herself, while Anubis had small smile looking at the moonstone that was glowing very brightly, "well brother, it seems that you unknowingly blanked out or your mind turned off thinking it was dead anyway, when the matter of fact the gasp you heard was Anubis being burned through incinerating his heart to ashes, and then I decapitated his head just because I could" Jane said with a small chuckle, while Anubis didn't look pleased with the bit she added about decapitation. "You really didn't need to take my head off, after you incinerated my heart as you did the death blow just by doing that, but I give you credit when due you did surprise me with that stunt of yours, as I didn't expect you to get faster that caught me off guard, but that you wanted to ensure that I was dead with the taking of my head, I really don't like that you did that and burnt my heart to ashes, you know how long it's gonna take for that to come back for future battles that I'm stuck here to keep repeating" Anubis explained while still grumbling under his voice, "well at least you will not forget this defeat for as long as you're stuck doing whatever this is for you" Jane added with a smile and then a bow of respect, while walking towards him with his spear.

"Your correct I will not forget this experience, but I do have a few words of advice and words of praise too" Anubis said, as he retrieved his spear from Jane and I walked towards him, to stand alongside her too, while bowing with respect too, we waited for his next words. "So you both are impressive in how you fight with magical might, but also your fighting experience, you both will do well if you keep training, improving and trying to get pass any of your weaknesses you may have or still have, even if they are mental or physical ones, both are important" Anubis explained, while letting out a small cough, "when you plan, always have back up, but remember no plan or strategy is without its weakness, but also try to minimise risk of any kind, no matter how noble they may seem, as in the end it's not always worth it" Anubis added.

As we stood up from our bowing stance, "so this moonstone that you have in your possession, does more than one thing to help you, it's more for defending than attacking, but I'm sure that you both will have worked that bit out yourselves, being that the moon protects as well as guides you where you need to go, which I'm sure you will find useful to find the others" Anubis explained, which was helpful but we both already assumed about all that, but as I took a more detailed look at the moonstone that I still held, I noticed something different about it that reminded me of something but didn't understand why that was unless it has another purpose that Anubis hasn't mentioned or doesn't even know about himself, "he probably does know, but waiting for us to mention it as if you look up you see that he's watching you look at the moonstone for the past several seconds" Jane said with a smile as she may not have the moonstone in her hand like I do, but just reading my mind and thoughts she got a bigger enough picture to know what I was memorized about with the moonstone, to understand. "Talking to each other through your minds is rude if I'm still here, definitely as can assume you have noticed why this moonstone is different to that of a ordinary one, besides that it glows very brightly" Anubis said with a smile, "so your saying that if I twist it, it will do something, which will make more sense for it to be a artefact than just a moonstone that protects us and guides us, no offence" I said, "your right, also none taken, so if you twist it round, with each full turn you do, it will have a different mode, purpose or phase, i'm not sure what you would call it, but anyway, if you remember that the moonstone is connected to the moon goddess, but like most things it's not that simple either, as the moon has three faces that like the triple moon goddess" Anubis explained but was interrupted by Jane, who laughed, "so your saying that with each full turn we get a different moon phase that is connected to its own moon goddess or goddesses, so it's like the maiden, the mother and the crone" Jane said, which I assumed that Anubis would have been annoyed for being interrupted but instead smiled, "that's exactly right, even though I would have preferred you let me finish, but you said it about right, the only thing you missed, is that each phase does something different, but what you have it in currently is what I call the default mode, so it isn't either of the three as it doesn't have a purpose to be required of it as of yet" Anubis said.

As I turned it once, a face showed up as the maiden, turned it a second time, showing the mother, and finally a third to the crone, leaving it in that mode, "the crone is the strongest of the three in my personal opinion, definitely when it's in the hands of a magic user, being that it's connected to Hecate, so the maiden, is obviously connected to that of Athena and iris for example but she also connected to that of medusa, so being able to turn your enemies to stone will come handy for a quick getaway, as it effects are different as most creatures are permanently stuck in stone, but with what I've heard there is a a few that can escape it within minutes, so use it as wise as Athena, for the mother phase, is that to which helps with restoration, and speeds up regeneration as Yemaya who heals the sick, you can heal yourself or others, but becareful as it doesn't revive the dead, who's souls have left this plan of existence, if it had a soul it can be revived, if you do use it on the dead, it won't be that of the one you intended to bring back but something else entirely" Anubis explained very thoroughly, and continued to mention others but I took my attention away from it all, as Jane was interested but I was more curious about how to activate it to heal, as I remembered that I was stabbed in my side, which I noticed didn't feel pain from it, so I moved some of the cloak, to closely examine the wound. As I moved my clock I saw a faint line where it once was, but I could have sworn that I haven't drank any blood since, so I didn't understand how it could have healed, even though it looked like it has but left a scar of where it happened.

"Sorry I interrupt, but how have I healed, despite the scar line which I've never had one like that before" I said as they both looked at me like I was insane, "well that's the moonstone taking effect, in it's default state, it does a bit of all the modes, so I assume it must have started healing your wound that I made, but when you turned briefly on the mother phase, it must have quicken it up which is why it left a scar line" Anubis explained while looking amused as it seems he has never seen the moonstone do anything before, "I actually was gonna give you some blood on our way out, to heal it for you, but if that artefact heals then that could save us on our stock of blood" Jane added, while facepalming herself for her forgetfulness because of all the new information we both learned, even though I was at fault too, as not long after what I witnessed, most would have mentioned that they needed healing or was still in pain, but I guess I must have blocked it out unknowningly but also was too, caught up in the new information and what happened during the time I missed.

"So how do we get out of here to continue our path to find more artefacts like these, no offence, as we are not in a rush or anything it's just that I want to see what the others are like and see if they are easier or harder than yours, more out of curiosity than anything, now that we have had a taste of what is now a challenge compared to what roams this dimension" I mentioned, Anubis walked behind his throne, stood there and then looked at us both while gesturing with his hands for us to follow him. As we moved to be just behind him we saw nothing behind his throne but that he had his leg forward, "hold onto my throne for a moment as I open up the path for you to exit" Anubis said with a huge grin on his face, before he lifted his leg and then slammed it down on the very ground, causing the whole room to shake constantly, while only both me and Jane was still standing exactly where we are not needing to hold onto the throne like we was told by Anubis, as I could only guess that Jane even casted a spell to keep us grounded, "did you do it?" I asked Jane, "yup you like?, so glad that it worked as if it didn't we would have fallen over as soon as the shaking happened" Jane said with a smile on her face.

As the shaking slowed down, Anubis looked over at us with a surprise, to then a smile forming, "of course you both have your own way of keeping still even when the very ground beneath you is shaking, shouldn't be surprised with you both" Anubis said with a smirk at us both, I smiled back and noticed at the corner of my eye my twin doing the same, "well here it is hop through that and it will lead you back out, just be prepared for the landing, knowing you two, you be fine" Anubis said while pointing down to the nice round hole that looked like it leads further down into the ground, but what he said about leading us back out, sounds like a type of runner that will land us outside than further into the ground, but either way, it be a fun rematch if he is lying, just looking at Jane who nodded at that afterthought, told me she agreed. "Well no time like the present, if I see you again let's do this again, it was oddly fun, if anyone can call our fight fun" Anubis said as both I and Jane arches ourselves into the hole going feet first, interested to see what's next for artefact number two, "we'll see you again Anubis, let's go Alec" Jane said as she dropped down first, "slow poke" Jane added as I jumped in myself afterwards, causing me to chuckle as the hole got darker and darker.

As the hole became a tunnel going straight down, with the pitch darkness only getting darker which seemed impossible by how dark can it possibly get where it can't get any darker, well it did and it even made our incredible sight see absolutely nothing, but thankfully the feel of rocks, and edges of the hole made it all possible to know that this tunnel hole was definitely not made but formed on it very own, by unknown factors that without living in this dimension at the very beginning or speaking to someone who's is older enough to have knowledge of it, be impossible to find out. "So how long has it been since we entered this?" I asked as it felt like hours but of course time is not the easiest to keep track of nowadays, "actually it's been minutes, not hours Alec, it's just that this tunnel seems to stretch quite far, as what I've gathered and I'm assuming you have at some point too, that we may be going straight down now but we have had a few curves too, but if I can hazard a guess, we should be nearing close to our destination" Jane said, and I could tell that she was right as the moonstone began to glow and flash to indicate we are close, at some point I want to have a closer look at it and see if it holds any other secrets that could possibly prove useful.

With a small glow of blinding light below our feet, getting wider and wider, we prepared for impact, we joined our hands together to concentrate the water spell to form a bubble of sorts around us both, to allow us to slow fall to the ground below. The bubble started to take shape expanding bigger and bigger, that within seconds, it was bigger enough to form over us completely, while remaining completely transparent. As the bubble fell slowly to the ground while a slight breeze pushed us side to side, we could see the environment of this area began to form and change every so often almost like a ripple effect in water but instead on solid ground, which didn't look the most stable to be standing on, just by what we could observe from our incredible view. As the breeze started to push us downwards, the bubble was no more than six foot off the ground before it came to a halt, "ready?" Jane asked, feeling extremely excited to see what this area brings, "I was reborn, and rebirthed ready" I said with a smile.

With a pop of the bubble we landed on the ground gracefully, noticing that the group was indeed solid as it's appeared, yet from the corner of our eyes, noticing a ripple of the ground only fifty feet away itching closer, "we best get moving before that ripple of this strange ground catches up to us, as I don't want to find out what happens if it hits us, as I can list many possibilities of what could happen" Jane said looking concerned, I just layed my hand on her shoulders, "then let's get moving then, so none of those possibilities can happen or us to find out what it do to us" I said reassuring her, which worked as she smiled back.

As we moved at increased speed to find some temple of sorts for the next artefact or some signs of life besides that of this odd plants that seemed to have thived very thick in some areas more than other, but the colouration of them seemed odd as the stems and leaves of the plants was colourful, yet the heads of the plants seemed more green like the complete opposite of flowers on our earth, though the thought of what trees we have yet to discover have yet remain to be seen. "What do you think of this place?" I asked as we remained moving constantly, "odd yet fascinating too, definitely a place to return to if given the chance, not as hostile as the last one either" Jane responded, which I was pleasantly surprised that she didn't ask about the trees even if we both was thinking about the lack of them.

After hours on hours of constantly moving about aways several meters away from that ripple that we still dared to avoid, we finally stopped at what could be thought as a tree, yet just like most of everything we have witnessed, it too was odd, as it wasn't stumps and branches that held the leaves, fruitarian or vegetation, but that of bones, muscles and tendons, which was both sickly and fascinating too, as it seemed that what holds the body in place is doing so for this weird gigantic tree. The leaves seemed to be made of thin crispy layers of skin, that dripped of a combination of blood and honeydew, the fruitation that hung from the bone branches, was that of body organs, even the roots that kept the stump in this weird tree thing, was that of arms and legs, "not sure if I want to be impressed with this or puke my guts out, hoping that it doesn't get added to this messed up tree" I said, while seeing that Jane agreed with a nod, while turning to look away from it, "what kind of sick joke of who created this place, because that's so wrong on many levels" Jane added, as I decided that this sight of the tree was too much even for me as I turned away facing the same direction as my twin. After standing facing away from that thing that the creator calls a tree, we saw that the ripple was catching up once more even closer than it started, being only twenty five meters now, "we best get moving otherwise that ripple will catch us, as it's already sped up since the first sight of it when we arrived" I said as I wanted to change the subject so neither of us would want to stare of keep thinking about that atrocity of a tree, "let's go" Jane said as we started to move again once more.

Two months later

Jane POV

Getting no closer to finding where this artefact seems to be held, as the last area was easier to locate, even the moonstone that my brother holds and has been fascinated with the modes, and trying to figure out if it doesn't anything else, even a few times when I've asked him, if the location thing was working on it, as it's been of no help since we landed, which has made this whole thing confusing. As for the ripple we had a few interactions with it, just last week or so, we stopped to have a few sips of the blood we still carried from the Gobwuriese, which satisfied our thirst that started to creep in, most likely with all the spells and moving we been doing it must have speed up the bloodlust, which wasn't the end of all things to us, but it did bother us when we got hit by the ripple, dragging us both under it and then back out again in seconds, thankfully we didn't require to breathe as it felt suffocating even if we was under for seconds and not hours. We haven't come across the ripple for awhile now, thankful, yet found it strange that it just vanishes like it did, causing me to be suspicious that the guardian of this artefact may behind it, I even asked Alec if he thought so too, he disagreed and said it was a lucky circumstance that we haven't seen it and be grateful as I could tell he hated that ripple as it was unnatural, as the ground shouldn't move like water just like how water shouldn't be like the ground unless it was solid ice after being frozen over. Which I definitely agreed with him on, but of course I had to remind him a few times, as he was more used to the normal of our world, so getting his head round this place is taking more used to for him than me, than that of the dimension we was or are still in, this journey of ours is confusing but definitely not been boring by any stretch.

"Jane! I think I've found something that may help even more so than what this moonstone artefact has already been, I guess" Alec called me from hundred or so yards away from where I was stood, which meant several things, one he learnt a new spell to make his voice reach further out, which makes me proud that he did that, but also if he's found something that's useful to help us locate the artefact or something that doesn't make us puke our guts up, then I'm all for checking it out, as we have been trying several approaches to locating it with little success, never giving up as we are certain we are in the right place.

As rush up to catch up, I see that he's levitation has improved too, as he's also off the ground cross legged, while also reading the tome, that's also being levitated too. "impressive, nice to see that your spell work and magic has improved" I said as I stand just short of being below him, just that I step two steps back, as he's lowing himself down, in a standing position "Thanks but that's not what I found, even though I am pleased myself for self improvement", Alec said with a smile, "so what did you find, was it to do with your little pet project with the moonstone or the new artefact that we are yet to locate?" I asked, as we been trying to concentrate on other things than always using our mind link to communicate as it did make time here less quiet, "actually yes to both of them actually, as with all this time we now have, I can multitask that gives even you a run for your money sis" Alec answered with a chuckle, "so what I've found about the artefact, is that the moonstone locates it to a rough area not exact spot, the only problem is where it is, that's the only bit you won't like, but I leave that bit till afterwards, because the moonstone modes I've been using to extend my knowledge and experience to learn more of its history of the moon goddesses, but I'm assuming you need to hold it to get the same experience as it may help down the line" Alec explained while trying to wait to not tell me the problem where it is.

"So where is it then?" I asked, as I have my suspicions, one in particular that I was dreading if it was it, "yes it is that place sis, the place that makes us sick, but unfortunately that's a rough area of where it is located, so we have to return back there now or when we plan to start searching" Alec said through the mind link, which came as a jolt as we haven't used it in a couple of months, but it also felt comforting too.

As we collected our supplies we moved in quick velocity, that we made it to that sick tree, but this time there was differences that wasn't exactly good but not bad either, this time there was huge insect like things walking along the tree, with their long tendrils coming out from their backsides drinking the blood, honeydew substance, that made their heads bloat up, which was like the complete opposite of what mosquitoes do, which made this whole thing stranger than it was before. Another difference is that it had a doorway that moves location on the tree every half a second, that makes it interesting to say the least, but not exactly difficult for our increased speed. "It had to be this place, why this tree, it's harder enough to try not to puke, but we have to get inside, pass those reverse mosquitos, just to see what else we got to do to get, this artefact" I said though it was completely filled with sarcasm that Alec was used to that he just chuckles, "did you seriously call them reverse mosquitos, not very original but it does have a nice ring to it" Alec added while laughing some more at my expense of naming the new creations. The creation of these creatures we seen about, it's just that this one seemed less original by name, it not like I could think of something better at this time, plus Alec doesn't seem to care what they are called, he only cares if they are hostile or passive, but I find naming them and what we see, does help just calling them creatures, so by naming them we have a better way to identify them and what they are capable of if we encountered them again.

"So does it matter when we go through the door, if it's constantly changing its placement on this thing?" I asked as for once Alec had more knowledge on this one as it seems, "actually it does, but we don't want to stick around too long as the reverse mosquitos, that you quite nicely named, may behave differently if we went through the door that's appears by their nesting spot or where they are currently feeding at" Alec explained, "so you suggest we pick a door that's away from them and just hope for the best that it doesn't appear near them, in the circumstance that if it does they may turn hostile" I said, even though it was more of a question, "exactly, getting out afterwards is still a mystery unfortunately" Alec added, while not looking very happy about that. "Why so down bro?" I asked, as I was excited to leave this place as I much preferred that of our previous habitants, than that of how this place runs, "well besides this tree thing, I find this part of this dimension to be more interesting than that where we found Anubis, mainly because there more that lives here, that we have found and probably others yet to be found, so despite that I desperately want to return back to our earth, dimension or whatever it's called, this part of the dimension is the most exciting for me, that I hope one day we can come back to see more of it" Alec expressed, and I could tell he was being sincere about returning back here, part of me is in agreement to return to this dimension, seek it out more thoroughly in the previous part and even this one, but I was more keen to get the artefact and continue our journey even more so. "Okay I will agree with you that in incline to return back, but let's get this journey of ours completed first, and if we survive it all and help our Isabella, to end this long ancient war, then we can return here as much and whenever we like, as I'm sure that back home we aren't as needed that much or that we can figure out a way for them to contact us even when we are travelling dimensions and anything else we wish to do with our new forms" I said, "that actually sounds perfect, let's do this" Alec said with more of a upbeat tone in his voice and excitement once again taking over again, which made me smile.

As the door seemed to move from near the reverse mosquitos, to then lower down that was further away from them that made getting to the door less problematic, the only thing that made me want Alec to open it was the skeletal bones from a hand that still a gore factor to it, that I definitely wasn't inclined to touch it as it just creeped me out, odd sounding coming from a creature of the night who feeds on blood, but one thing I'm definitely not is something that eats flesh from a human, even if they are cattle to our kind. As Alec felt my hesitance to open the door, he jumped to the doorway and open the door as wide as he could inwards, "after you sis, guess your still not over the feeling of what this tree does to you then, I just try my best to picture something else in my mind, so it bothers me much less than I know it would if I kept looking at it for what it is" Alec said from up above, as he still had his hand on the hand handle, waiting for me to join him, before it moves once more. I take several deep breaths of air, thinking of anything more appealing, like what magic feels like, making me more relaxed, and with my eyes closed I take a big leap up, "gotcha sis" Alec said as he guided me into the doorway, as I kept my eyes closed, waiting for the door to click or something to say it was closed, "is it closed or should I keep my eyes closed and follow you as I can use the mind link to help guide me where you move?" I asked, getting no response for a couple of seconds, "okay you can open your eyes now, sorry was enjoying the view for a few seconds but the inside of this tree thing, is quite the opposite of what you expect" Alec said as the door clicked closed and I opened my eyes once more, with a gasp.

"You wasn't kidding it definitely isn't what I expected but in a good way" I said as I marvelled at what I was witnessing, "ah you arrived, welcome Jane and Alec, yes I know who you are, we guardians are always aware of the habitants of our area more so when you enter our temples" the voice spoke different to that of Anubis but something else, yet it was definitely a deep voice sound, so it definitely got our attention and peeked our curiosities. "So you can hear our thoughts just like Anubis does until we enter your room? If this is your temple it's not what we expected for a temple, no offence just not my cup of tea more than anything" I spoke upwards as I expected the voice coming from above, "none taken, though I'm disappointed that you don't approve of my area, as I created it all myself, unlike the others who let theirs do what they like, I like to control everything and create what pleases me and what is superior beings are to look like, but to answer your question yes I can but I look forward to seeing you in the room I've taken to spending my time in very soon" the deep voice replied back before a odd beep like noise followed, which I guessed was its way to say the conversation is over, not that I minded.

As we walked down the long corridor that had paintings on them, but all of them had tears in them where a face or two is hard to distinguish, yet seeing one has a women with blue eyes, surrounded by fire around her, with two arms trying to pull her in two different directions, as to claim her as theirs but to pull her out if the fire, that she looks like not wanting to escape from with the fear you can closely see in her eyes. Most would ask how you can see emotions in someone's eyes in a drawing or painting, well when your a vampire who feeds on humans for so long you get well acquainted with the emotions of fear, sadness, pleasure and happiness, alongside others, but ones of fear and pleasure are always the strongest in the eyes then any other parts of the body. "She looks fearful, I wonder who's the arms belong to, and if theres a story behind the painting as this is probably the only one we seen that has the most to see compared to others, that we passed" I say as we continue to walk pass it to a room that even from where we was, smelled of freshly cut wood, like it was recently chopped down from a real tree and cut and molded to form the door.

As we neared the door it looked bigger standing next to it than it was from a distance away, I was more than happy to open this door, with no problems, getting a small laugh from Alec who was stood behind me as I open the door outwards, which wasn't surprising as some doors open inwards and some like this one opens outward thankfully there was plenty of space to move out the way when I opened it. "Well it be interesting to see what's next, as so far besides the long doorway, it's been quite easy to go from outside to here" I said with relief, while I knew that if we think something is easy, it's just gonna get worse soon, Alec nudged me, "careful" he says as just as predicted the door began to crumble to black ash, thinking nothing of it we continued our walk into another long doorway.

As we continued down the long doorway, it seemed to have gotten longer than the last one, which was strange in itself but also that all this fits in the tree, maybe it's like the previous temple it's bigger inside than it looks from the outside, but despite that it was getting annoying with how long it stretches. "This is a long doorway that is getting frustatingly annoying" I said to Alec who nodded in response but seemed distracted by the black ash for some reason, "don't give it more attention than you need to, it's probably just for effects, even so if this continues I'm gonna test out the walls strength, to see if I can break through it and end this long walk" I said, trying to make light of the situation but to also give myself something to do if this doesn't end up to a room sometime soon. "Thanks Jane, it's just that it's odd that the door itself wasn't even black or being burned, yet turned to black ash of all things, and I do agree that we may have to break some walls if this continues" Alec responded with a weak smile, "thanks bro" I said.

After several minutes more of no more doors to escape this hallway than a doorway as it stopped being one with how long it continues to extend, making it feel like it's infinite. As we stood to a stop I bring my arm back with my hand balled up in a fist, charging it with fire blazing around my first before it started to form a ball of fire that coloured of a blue flame that with enough charge to it, would burn a hole through the toughest materials created. As I slammed my first into the wall with a single hit, the whole wall turned to white ash, falling to the ground. Yet as we tried to walk where the wall used to be, it felt like a barrier was preventing us from going through it, "not that easy is it, if only you can see my face, of amusement when you did that, I guess long corridors are not your type of interests then, don't worry there's still more to come, enjoy the ride" the deep voice spoke again before following by a beep again, followed by mechanical noices of gears moving below us.

As predicted the mechanical noices of gears moving was correct as the ground became more of a slide going down, in a spiral like motion, "you had to make it change, but as long as it doesn't drop us into something to kill us or something, I won't mind" Alec said to me in my mind, "true but if we make it to this guardian, I want the first hit on its ugly face, and before you respond telling me it can hear us, I know that's why I said ugly" I said knowing full well I was taunting the beast but had little care for it, when it made me feel mentally sick with the look of it's so called temple, then making us walk endlessly through a long corridor that felt infinitely long with no end to it, so if taunting it makes it change certain things to get us to it quickly then I say chop chop, make haste with it and bring it on. Hearing laughter not coming from Alec but from the walls itself with random faces bulging out laughing constantly like they was on giggle gas or something, at first it was fine but the more you heard it as the never ending slide spiraling downwards in a corkscrew like motion, the laughing became just a nuisance. With no way to end it, I did the one thing I knew would work, I slammed my feet heavily backwards, back and forth, and Alec followed suit, doing the same, "let's see how he likes this" Alec shouted above the laughing, as it started become deafening as the volume of it kept increasing the more further down we went. As we put enough force with our backwards slamming of our feet we went from sliding down on our backs to now sliding down on our feet, like going down a slope of snow, in a avalanche, only difference is there was no snow falling behind us. "Now what?" Alec asked, I actually didn't have a plan but was just doing anything to irritate the guardian to stop these games and meet us head on, just as I thought that, the sliding downwards stopped to a flat surface, with a single door, oozing with blood and with just about readable, giant sign reading "BEWARE!!!", which I guess was the guardian's way of preparing us to meet it head on.

I began to smile widely, "well you got your wish, Jane, but I don't get this one, the last one we had to search for the artefact but this one doesn't match the same, I wonder if it's in there with it" Alec said, while seemingly talking to me, yet also outloud to anyone who's listening. "Well I don't care, I'm up for fun and games, but when it's endless, without no changes to make it interesting, it makes it boring where I just want it to end" I said, while humming a simple tune to myself with no exact tune in mind but just something that felt catchy as I waited to open the door, with the same creepy hand handle, which at this point it started to not bother me as I held it at the ready to open. "Ready bro" I asked as I turned to him for a response, Alec turned to me while mentally shaking himself to be prepared for what's yet to happen, "ready sis, let's go" Alec said as he stood behind me as I opened the door stepping in.

As we got into the room that appeared dark and nothing to see or hear but drops of liquid, assuming blood like the door was oozing in, but it had no smell or taste to it, so it may have been water for all we cared to know, we kept walking in the dark room keeping our wits about us for anything that may appear or come at us. Good thing that I've been preparing some defensive magic, so this will be a good chance to try them out, "Alec get ready to defend" I called out, getting a nudge in my arm, which gave me the answer alone that he was still right next to me. "So you want to fight me, well let's see how good you both are, if you think Anubis was tough then your in for a world of pain" the voice spoke out, strange enough it was far away but still clear enough to hear, not just that but nothing was mentioned of the artefact, was this something else or it was for the artefact just that it took something else entirely to get it. "We have come for the artefact? Is it here or not, as I see no point of us being here for it unless it's to kick your ugly monstrous behind to the next millennium" I shouted as I wasn't afraid of him no matter what anyone thinks or says, "your too puny and weak to defeat me, even if you manage to get this artefact that you come all this way for" the voice replied back taunting me, Alec remained unmoved but also that told me several times over in my mind and his thoughts that I was being childish but knew me too well now that I didn't care if I was or not just that if I got what I wanted in the end, "so is that your ugly monstrous behind speaking and saying all these big words without not a single action to back those words up, I think your the weak one if you're too afraid to face us in battle, right now " I taunted trying to get a rise, but also to see this guardian face to face.

As the whole room began to change, grow, move and spin about, I took that as my words hit the point I was aiming, the room got brighter enough to make out everything around us. The room began to be moving upwards like a balloon being filled with so much air that it was rising up and up, only that we had no clue where it would stop as we couldn't tell how far under the ground we were. As more time passed, it felt like the walls of the room was falling off, as we could once again see the outside before we went through the door of the odd tree, but oddly enough we wasn't anywhere near it but we was back on ground level, where we stayed and waited to see what's next to appear.

"You want to face me fine, you said I have a ugly monstrous behind, so if you want to kick it then prove it, but first you have to prove yourselves to these" the voice spoke, but as he did two swords started to rise halfway out of the ground where they stayed, from just the looks of the swords they both was made of the same metal, yet outworldly, which definitely was a difference to the moonstone, yet they did hold a gemstone on end of the handle. "Sis, what do you think?" I asked as I had my eye on the bloodstone gemstone sword, I sensed that Alec was eying that one to, as we walked towards the same sword, "ah it seems you both are eying the same sword, yet only one can lift it to wield its power" the voice said as it sounded like it was observing us from where it was watching yet neither of us could see where it was coming from, "Alec I'm more suited to the bloodstone one, as if you remember my vampiric gift was to cause unimaginable pain with just a look, yours was more like what the moonstone does, protects and defends even when you took the senses away it was for a defence than attack and a bloodstone is what my gift was and still feels like now" I explained.

As we walked towards the swords getting closer and closer to them, I knew that I could hear another voice calling to me, yet Alec was looking at me like I was crazy as she must have heard something too. Neither was that of the guardian or that of us two communicating through our mind link.

"If you wish to protect those you wish no harm to, weild me and show your might as I'm the one.for you, my twin's power may be tempting but I'm the one for you not him, so claim me as yours and we shall protect all that want and needs us" the male voice of the sword spoke to me, and with every word I could feel the pull getting stronger and stronger, bringing me closer to it, guiding my hand to its handle, like it had a mind of its own. With little will I had remaining I stopped my hand just inches from grasping the hand to pull it out. "Alec are you feeling a pull or is it just me as I'm getting pulled towards that of the moonstone not bloodstone, does it really know me better than I thought I knew myself" I called out yet I couldn't move my head to see if Alec was being pulled towards the same sword or not. As an extremely loud sound of thunder and lightning I then heard Alec speaking through what felt like static, so nothing he said I understood yet knew he was happy, as he must have lifted the swords containing the bloodstone, which made me feel disappointed yet glad for him too. Seeing that my will was crumbling I let go of what remained and grasped the moonstone sword, "we are now bonded, but not to worry you will understand soon why we are meant to be, as I'm sure you will work it out soon, as you have always tried to protect your twin even if you felt he has been doing that for you, as it's why you had the gift to cause pain in the first place" the sword spoke to me as calm as the sound of flowing water, could be imagined to sound like inside one's mind. "So what do I call you, if you can talk to me and I can talk to you in turn?" I asked "well I've gone by many names, such as ,Luna, Tungi, Kuu, Hli, Cap, Yoreh, Maan, Mwezi, Bulan, Marama, Ay, but we be here all day if I continued by the many names, so for simplicity just call me Moon" Moon spoke to me, making me feel calm, as I turned to finally being able to face Alec I saw him with his sword in hand moving to place it on his back without a strap to hold it in place.

As Alec walked to me, "these artefacts are the best, so powerful too, apologies for the thunder and lightning I got a bit too excited" Alec said very bubbly, "so what did you call yours? Alec asked, beating me to the punch of asking the same question, "mine is called Moon, she had quite a few names in the past and felt Moon was perfect for a name for this time" I said as even though I was incline to the name Luna, I felt that I've heard so many use it, that Moon was perfect for the sword, "well that does sound perfect, I had several choices of names but I decided that the name Plasma was the right one, and before you ask I know that there's other choices, but why would I call it Christ's stone, or the Babylonian Jasper, doesn't sit right or sound as amazing as Plasma, which is what blood is made of, it's something that we spill loads of from the guardians and enemies but it is something that we also drink to survive off too" Alec said as he explained his reasoning, and I had to agree it was justified in every sense. "So you have finally claimed your artefact, both have remained with me for as long as they was unused, but let's see if you can wield them to defeat me or are your words just as weak as you claim I am" the voice spoke as a few metres away a throne with monsterous being sat watching us both with a cocky grin on his face.

As Alec lifted his hand in the air, Plasma his sword rose from behind his back to place itself in his hand ready for battle, while I still held Moon in mine and lifted it slightly ready to join the battle for when it starts, both of us in a battle stance all to familiar from sword training with Caius that was so long ago when he used to train us in our spare time while we travelled to take over the castle, that is now called the Volturi castle. "You can call me Victor Wretched, I'm the guardian of this entire place, so let's see how well you both fight, like the previous rules apply, death blow will give you the win and allow you entry to the next place to get you what you seek of these artefacts, of course I won't make it easy as I plan to enjoy this" Victor said as he cracked his monstrous knuckles, causing loud cracking sounds to echo in the air. As I looked at Victor, he was huge like frankenstein huge, yet he was obviously not stupid like monster, was described, but was definitely built to look strong and powerful, the only thing that was concerning was that he was holding two battle axes that was built for two hands, yet he held one on each hand like it was nothing. His armour on the other hand looked like I had two layers worth, so only looking at the outside part it looked to hold up against heavy duty damage very well, with the thick plates of what looked to be metal but knowing us it was either a rare kind like our world or something of this world which would make it twice or hundredth times as tough to get through. "I can see you both eying my weapons and armour, well you should be worried, more so that I may not be as quick on my feet as Anubis was or any of the others, but I make up for it in my tremendous strength and raw power, alongside my double armour, as yes my main armour is plated but underneath, it's streamlined of liquid metal that may not be as tough but it does help against weapons that managed to get past the armour plating" Victor explained, which told us exactly as we both assumed even if our thoughts was now connected to that of our bonded swords that I can hear Plasma talking just as Alec could hear that when Moon talks.

All four of us was talking within our minds of strategies, who does what and so forth, but so far nothing would come to fruition as we all had our own ideas of what was best but when we think we got something solid then we dispose of the idea as one of us find a problem with it, thankfully we are thinking all this within less than tenth of a microsecond, as it meant we could think quickly without looking like complete statues on the field of battle that has yet to start. "I have a thought, not sure if it will work but it be worth trying during the battle and then we can adjust it while we are still fighting, as if you think about it, we have a much wider parameter of space than that of when we fought Anubis" i said as I'm not hundred percent sure it will work but if we can channel some of our magical power into the swords itself it might help us to get through the armour of both sets, but that would require us both to work in sync and try and get pass his two battle axes that if we get hit by could take our heads off at worse. "You won't need to channel your magic as we have our own that can help" both Plasma and Moon said, "that would have been handy to know beforehand" I said yet knowing that I should have known they have something besides being a bonded weapon, "actually I have a question for you both, can you morph to a different weapon or is this what we have to deal with for sword wise?" Alec asked this time around, which was a good one to ask and one I didn't actually thought of till he mentioned it, as if they could it would be beneficial, "we can only sword types which is limiting but I'm sure you both will have creative uses as we only chose this sword type as it reminded us of Excalibur the legendary sword" Plasma mentioned which pleased us both very much as it opened a wide variety of ideas and plans we can do with that knowledge. "So how many varieties of swords is that, if you included Excalibur in the mix being that it's technically mythical from my understanding of it" I asked, "your right it is but we went by it as we always looked up to it as the mightiest of all swords, even so to answer your question there are way to many to list, that even with now quickly we are communicating, there is definitely not enough time, but if you wish to change our sword type just will it and we will change to that you requested at a instant" Moon explained with precision that reminded me of Master Marcus.

"So you both ready or would you rather keep communicating with your swords, because if so this will be rather easy win for me, but if you are ready be prepared for pain that I'm bringing to you" Victor said as he started to run in a charge like motion towards us, that was quicker than I definitely imagined him to be doing but what I was seeing was way more quickly, that I had to give credit when I saw it. Knowing that defending against a hit from a huge battle axe and the motion of it coming towards me, I had no choice but to keep dodging until I can figure out the best form of attack was, arching my view to see that Alec was doing exactly the same, only difference was that he was sending fire balls with his free hand at the feet of Victor hoping it catch him off balance, of course seeing that and dodging was easy enough with our increased speed, but one thing I've learnt for certain that speed doesn't help if you can't hurt the enemy, so it only works to keep you alive longer enough to think of something that will work. Victor's size doesn't help the matter as he's able to get us both equally but good thing is with enough time of dodging constantly plans have being made, "Alec, plan shadow" I called out, which Alec nodded before sinking into the ground where our shadows have created a dark patch, so now having Victor's full attention on me "Moon shift change please" I spoke, willing Moon's form to change to that of a sword that has two blades separated by a pole in-between, that if wielded correctly I can do exactly perform some tremendous speed attacks testing how much of the armour can take, giving Alec time to do his thing, but to also test the capabilities of my bonded sword, "if I divide you in two to make a duel sword while keeping the blades the same, will that affect you or will you reform when I will you to change again?" I asked, "I will reform, just be careful as we may have bonded but this is still new territory for us both" Moon replied just as quickly, as I dodge an uppercut of the battle axe followed by a sidewards strike of the other battle axe, "that was close but your definitely more skilled than I gave credit Victor" I said as I continued to dodge while I made a double slash and avoid on Victor's sides, which did nothing but make sound of crashing metal against metal.

With the dodge and attack combo continued, thankful that I didn't need to breathe to catch my breath, while Victor was had just enough stamina to keep up than I originally thought as I expected for him to catch his breath at least now, but I guess there's more secrets of his huge form than I would know, so maybe he has something to allow him to not breathe or have increased stamina to keep up and lift those heavy battle axes. "Keep him busy just a bit longer I may have found something on his armour that should be a weak point besides that of his head that he protects when you attack" Alec responded out of nowhere, as I couldn't see him about, which I knew that Victor was following my direction of where I was looking, just to be prepared for Alec but I guess that Alec was using the shadows to hide and observe, waiting for the right moment to strike.

With no more responses from Alec came, I decided to quickly wield the sword to return to my back, which instead of floating to land on my back seemed more like it teleported itself there, which gave me both hands free to try and double spell hit combo. As I began to charge electricity in one hand a burning inferno in the other, while continuing to dodge. As I built up a decent build up of each in my hands ready to fire at Victor, hoping that do something worth damaging that armour that will make it easier for my blade to slice through like a hot knife through butter, as I send the full power of electricity using the palm of my hand to push into the shoulder holding the left battle axe, yet seeing nothing happening, the emotions I was feeling that it didn't even do a jolt or spark, annoyed me, but must have showed as Victor stopped to chuckle, "you honestly thought I use regular armour that conducts electricity which would hurt, or stun me, this armour is enchanted, by yours truly" Victor said before he swung high and low with both battle axes, causing me to dodge left to right like a boxer to avoid both hits, before I released the inferno in my other hand in a spiral like motion which may not have burnt him but did make he stop to catch his breath, as with all that armour it mustn't have left much to breathe in. With huffs and puffs getting louder and louder as Victor dropped his weapons to use his giant hands to steady himself on his legs, as he tried to catch his breath. With that chance I saw Alec shot out of a shadow from right behind with Plasma held high, glowing a dark crimson red colour extending longer and wider as he came to hit Victor right in the neck to try and decapitate Victor's head right off, but for that that it was worth the head was still there but Alec was stuck in the neck unmoved as from the view I was seeing Plasma has gotten stuck, so maybe it wasn't enough force to cut the head right off. As Victor started to rise while Plasma was still stuck on his neck, Alec was trying to pull away, with all his might to free Plasma away to try and escape back into the shadow once more for another chance. With Victor fully risen on his feet and got his breath back I summoned Moon back into my hands, while pushing the air below me to lift me up, so I could strike from the front side, while aiming at the neck also. I also heated up my hands while holding onto Moon with both hands to attempt to burn the head right off. As I swung Moon sideways with all my strength I hit the neck, "what you doing sis, I tried that but it failed, still trying to pull Plasma out of his thick neck, then here's us thinking the armour was gonna be the problem" Alec said with a huff as he still couldn't budge Plasma out of the neck and it seemed that Victor was trying to decide whether to dislodge Alec or my from his thick neck, "well this was unexpected but also easy pickings as I could get either of us two and tear you both in two, but I think I will go for you for the insults earlier" Victor said as he went to grab me but with my wiggling around I managed to avoid his attempts.

As I sent several blasts of constant flames at the neck, which would both loosen the blades free but if it works also soften the next to cut cleanly through it., through the flames Victor's hands grabbed me loosening my hold on Moon, as his strength was suffocating, then for him to bring closer to his chest to crush me, I tried to wriggle free but his grasp was too tight, feelings of bones crumbling, vision blurred as I tried to do anything to escape, "Alec" I said before my world went black.

Alec POV

Seeing my twin fall lifelessly, after being crushed by Victor and all that I knew was that I was being fueled by rage like none that I have ever felt before untill this very moment as Jane was the only one who truly knew me and understood me, as we was twins, best of friends always had each others back, but this freaking guardian thought that he could destroy my twin sister and get away with it, just to get me and think I go down easy, not a chance. My vision started to blur as I pulled out Plasma like it was nothing but I must have blacked out temporarily or something as what I saw next was a complete surprise yet a mix of pride and sadness too. What I saw was that the area looked like a minefield, the only exception was that you could see body parts all from one body, burns to a crisp, a head with no skull inside but looked to be pulled out by force, as you could see all the dead skin, blacked, but also soaked in blood none that smelled like my own but must have been from Victor himself. The blood was a odd mix of blue, black and purple that smelled worse than anything I've tried or come across, which didn't look appetising, yet I could taste it on my lips as my mouth felt sticky from where I must have used my fangs to tear into him, it made me want to vomit to remove the taste from my mouth, but I also wanted fresh water to wash my face of the stickiness of the blood that also caked my entire arms and lower half of my body. As i still stood I tried to move my body yet felt weak like I used every ounce of energy I had, which I had unlimited but now I felt that wasn't the case as I dropped down to the floor feeling the force of losing my twin once more, just without anything else to direct it at but just myself. As I layed on the floor wishing for the end that never arrives so I can join Jane, in what I hope was the afterlife but if not somewhere that is pure happiness that in our long life never had much of unless it was with the ones we loved and cared for.

Several hours later

As I continued to lay on the floor unmoved, not even bothered by the critters that roamed this area, even the ones that Jane named the reverse mosquitos, even now I couldn't help but chuckle at that, as the memories of Jane was the only comfort I had left in my undead, rebirthed life. We was supposed to be together from beginning to end, as we was born together, we was given a vampire life together and we even was rebirthed into this life together, yet none of it matters now that I'm all on my own, without my other half. Others wished to find their true mate, the one they have always look for, to be their other half, to make them whole, but I we didn't need any of that as we already had it with each other being twins by birth into every world we have started and we was supposed to end it together too.

"All isn't lost my friend, open your eyes and mind, pick yourself up and we shall show you that there's still meaning to this" Plasma spoke, " my twin is right, there's a way to undo what has happened as your journey doesn't end here when there's still loads left yet to be done" Moon whispered faintly almost like without Jane she was dying herself or the bond she had with my twin was fading to where even I couldn't hear her no more. "Why is Moon feeling faint or like she's dying?" I asked, "just as you are bonded to my twin, I am to bonded to her, with her last dying breath she said your name, which to us have you Dominion to wield me like my twin, but only temporarily, so in time I'll be gone too, being nothing more than just a regular sword with no special gifts but that I am made of" Moon answered sounding tearful, and getting fainter than she was before. "Is there anyway to bring my twin back, as if there is a way to continue this journey not alone and undo what has already taken place then tell me please I beg of you" I asked both swords though I couldn't see either one of them about the battlefield, "there is a way but it comes at a great sacrifice one you should choose wisely" Plasma said, "anything" I answered not taking even the tiniest of a second to decide as I would do anything to bring Jane back, "you have to do a blood spell that requires you to give up over two thirds of blood that still courses through your body, as you will have to sacrifice it all to a being that has the ability to bring her back once more" Plasma explained, while sounding terrified of how much blood I would have to give up but I didn't care if it brings Jane back.

As I picked myself up I saw that along the pieces of victor that was scattered about, was his armour that was just as badly damaged and drenched in Victor's blood than I thought, I couldn't believe that I did all this myself, it made me wonder how I accomplished it in the first place but also why I don't remember doing it either. I saw Victor's skull laying on its side skinless, yet blood splattered on it, and no eyes inside the holes where the eye sockets were supposed to be placed. After a few minutes of searching I found both swords with blood on the blades still wet, by touch and the handle having a sticky remains of a handprint that resembles that of my own, I picked them both up and attached them to my back. Knowing that it was pointless yet part of me still couldn't let it go, I went to search for Jane's body, as if I could bring her back then at least it save me later trying to locate her, or for her to try and find me, as this wasn't a good area to do this blood spell to bring her back in, not just that but it felt wrong.

What took only seconds to search the entire area, I found my twin's lifeless body, which I picked up and laid her across my shoulder as I began to walk in any direction that had space and clean patch of area untainted from the massacre that still remains, "don't worry Jane I will bring you back to me" I whispered as I continued walking yet every movement I took was painful and exhausting to a point that, the only thing keeping me going was knowing I will bring Jane back again.

After minutes of more walking, I finally find a area that I see as suitable to start this blood spell, "what now I've never attempted a spell like this alone, as it usually takes me and Jane to do big spells" I called out, feeling even more in pain that not just being alone with my twin was agony but now attempting a big spell alone was gonna be more than just tough now that I haven't got Jane to help me through them, "believe in yourself, breathe and then do it" a voice that sounded like Jane yet must have been just all in my head as she was deader than dead, yet her words that she always told me as we worked on spells and attempting bigger spells that requires us both, it felt comforting yet I knew I had to remember those words and do this spell so I can hear those words for real. I summoned the tome to come to me, as I forgot where it was but knew that whenever it was needed, all I had to do was summon it by pure will power, as I held my hands out the tome appeared in them in an instant.

As I placed Jane's lifeless body to the ground, followed by both swords that I stabbed into the ground itself, as I sat cross-legged, on the ground opening the tome, "show me blood magic rituals and spells" I called out in a loud commanding tone, that I knew that Jane would be proud of, with those words the tome rose from my hands and began flickering page after page, before it eventually fell to the ground opening to a very detailed page of everything I needed to know about blood magic and rituals. As I took my time to read it all carefully even the tiny print that most would ignore but I didn't want to risk more than I already about to do, with using so much blood that after all this will take me a few days at minimum to recover to be able to continue our journey together again, that's if this goes right. "So I need to start off by drawing a large pentagram, leaving enough space for these other symbols to go round it, to contain that I'm summoning to bring back a loved one" I said as read it outloud, "in blood it seems too, so even more blood I got to give up, but I don't care if it brings Jane back to me" I now seemed to be talking to myself outloud as both Moon and Plasma seem to have gone quiet.

I stood up summoning Athame to my hand, to draw a slit into my hand to get access to my blood, while using my other hand to dip two of my fingers into the slit to start drawing the pentagram and symbols quickly before the slit covers up. After several seconds of drawing, the slit in my other hand covered up again, but I didn't want to stop now as I still had to activate the spell itself to summon this demonic being that has the power necessary to bring back the dead. As I spoke the words that are part Latin but also that of the dead, I wasn't sure if I said it right but as I finished, the ritual began to glow getting brighter while also forming a wall of red in a giant ring shape of the pentagram that I drew. Smoke began to cover the entirety of the ring wall, that only lasted seconds before it disappeared with a being inside that definitely wasn't demonic but angelic from the looks of it, more along the lines of it being Azrael.

As Azrael stood up wings unfurled, decimating the walls of the spell I not long did, which made me think if I did something wrong or summoned something else that wasn't what I intended, "you have called upon Azrael Angel of Death, what do you summon me for or did you make a big mistake of summoning me by pure accident" Azrael commanded in a loud tone that was deafening, I just stood there staring at in complete shock and of the angelic beauty, yet no words escape my mouth as I couldn't find the right words to say without feeling like a idiot to think an Angel of Death would help me as not just that but they have rules they don't break of fear of becoming a demon or fallen angel. "Let me guess you attempted to summon a demon to bring back your twin with payment of the majority of your blood," Azrael said but all I could do was nod. "Silly mortal, that's a foolish thinking definitely as making any deal with a demon does nothing but end badly for you, even if you see nothing in yourself without your twin" Azrael explained, looking disappointed, but not as much as I was in myself, Azrael sighed, "well I can make you a fair bargain that I can give you what you want if you can do one thing for me in return, and if you don't I'm not gonna hold it against you but I will cut you off your magic to summon anything, am I clear" Azrael said in serious tone while also giving me some hope again, I nodded twice, as I would agree to anything if it brought my twin back and if I lost my magic to summon anything because I didn't hold up my side of the bargain then that's a risk I am willing to take. "So here's the bargain and if you don't think it's fair then I can just go now and leave you here to decide what you gonna do now with the rest of your everlasting long life, all I ask if that you destroy these two demonic beings that exists in your dimension and return them to their domain, then you have done your part of the bargain and we are finished, I won't come back to harm you or anything as I may be the Angel of death but I'm not heartless" Azrael said, "so do we have a deal?" Azrael added while holding his angelic hand out for me to shake, which I didn't even need to think too hard as I brought my hand to his and shook it, making our deal complete.

As Azrael hovered up in the air, completely air bound, he spread his arms wide before he put his hands together to do a silent prayer, before he then flew towards Jane, landing behind her head, picking up her head with one hand and placing his other hand on where her heart would be. As his hands glowed brightly, which started to cover Jane completely, before she started to be lifted into the air, as I saw her body began to mend itself inside and out, all the sounds of her being stitched together and bones coming together, the old organs and muscles that was damaged began to heal with a golden glow looking like new once more. The only thing that I still couldn't hear was the beating of her heart and lungs breathing once more, as Jane's body began to descend to the ground slowly. "It is done, I've done my part now it's up to Jane if she truly wants to return as the soul of hers has to find its way back to the body on its own, it could take minutes, hours or days but stay by her side and if nothing happens after a month, then my sincerest apologies but it's all I'm able to do to bring her back without breaking too many rules" Azrael said before he flew up to the heavens above disappearing in a shower of golden rain that fell as he went.

With Azrael now gone, I stood by Jane's body waiting for a sign of her coming back to me, grateful that Azrael did all he could to help, which was now just a waiting game to see if Jane wanted to return as much as I wanted her to come back to me. "Plasma, Moon? You still there" I called, "Moon is gone my friend, I've been here waiting for you to call for me" Plasma responded back, "is there a way to bring her back just like I did with Jane?" I asked, "there isn't anything that can bring her back unless we get lucky and she is brought back alongside your twin's soul, so it's a waiting game for us both" Plasma said in a saddened tone.

As days started to pass with no sign of either Jane or Moon, but with plenty of time to wait I've been talking to Plasma about what both him and Moon are capable of instead of just the basics of changing sword form, being bonded, and communication. Even found that if we had extended time when we bonded with them, we could have prevented all this from happening, as Plasma and I began to practise different sword techniques, until I picked up those with ease and then learnt to wield the magic inside to do even more neat tricks too.

As days turned to weeks, etching closer to nearly a month since Azrael tried to bring my twin back to life, "how many days left till it's been a whole month?" I asked Plasma as I continued to practise my sword strikes while throwing bursts of fire from the tip of the blade which is more concentrated and takes less time to charge up than when I use it without Plasma. "Just less than a week roughly estimated at six days, twenty three hours and forty fives minutes as we speak" Plasma replied back sounding with slight annoyance but I ignored it as we both have hated the position we are in but we made a promise to each other that after a month we try to do the rest of our lives together even if we don't succeed.

Deciding that I needed to stretch my legs to find some source of food as my stomach began to irritate me after a couple of weeks of ignoring the rumbling, that started to get louder, a few times even causing me to be momentarily distracted when I've been practising. As I picked up Plasma and the empty sword that used to be Moon, attaching them both to my back on a cross like position, I decided to launch myself upwards like a rocket to get myself further away to get a good look of where to land, to begin looking, as I was sure that there was something here that was edible. While airborne I could see several things that were similar to that of a Cyclops and a Minotaur, but they seemed to be additional appearance differences that gave off the impression that Victor was still kicking or these things were in hiding the last time me and Jane were exploring. Of course I knew that Victor would possibly return but the state I left him in, well one could say it's gonna take much longer, than it has already been so far, because even though I wish he wouldn't return, his role of guardian leaves him to always return being unable to stay dead for long, though between him and Anubis I rather spend time with Anubis than Victor. Feelings aside I had a good feeling about cooking up some roasted Minotaur, even though it looked slightly different to that of stories of a world that doesn't exist, besides that of a multiversal world yet found, but from the looks of it these two mythical beasts either escaped or was created to look alike. As I landed metres away from them I summoned Plasma to my hand in the shape of its default setting of Excalibur, changing it to that of its more darker opposite Caliburn, which was the first time I changed its form to be that of the dark opposite, as of now it just felt right. Despite its origins calling it the one of darkness, to destroy, my heart only felt like that for my enemies, nothing else, not just that but it was just the shape it changed not being that of the exact version, if it was I wouldn't be able to bleed or be killed, which are the two things I would gladly accept but that would lead me to be more rash and not think clearly when I fight. As I got myself into a fighting stance, holding Plasma in Caliburn form, with two hands on its handle, looking at the Cyclops and Minotaurs that stood watching me with anger in their eyes, ready to come at me, yet I was faster and more skilled than they were. Within what takes them to blink I ran right past them all while slashing at them all, one after enough to slice them in half in a diagonal direction, that by the time I got through them all, appearing right behind them holding Plasma in Caliburn form, just hanging on my shoulders, as I heard the bodies fall one by one. "Unfortunate for you all, you was just in the wrong place, wrong time, not just that but you stood no chance with my speed and skills" I said as I walked up to them summoning a few bottles to collect the blood that spilled from the bodies, for later use but also to use to season the meat of them both, after they have been cooked and served to be eaten, as I needed to keep my strength up and it's not like there was much else to eat besides them.

After filling up bottles after bottles of the blood spilled from Cyclops and Minotaurs, I think gathered all the meat in one spot, ready to attempt a spell that takes myself and everything that's in a small proximity to bring it all back to where I land, that if I worked out all the kinks right it should make us appear a few feet away from where I left Jane's body under a protective blanket that keeps her hidden from anyone and anything that isn't the one who casts the spell. As the spell activated bringing me back I placed everything away in a few containers that I made that if required can be shrunk down to make it pocket sized and easier to carry, without being weighed down or being unable to transport them due to the size. After that I went to check on Jane's body, but as I walked to where I left here, her body wasn't under the protective blanket, "Plasma where could she have gone, it was nigh impossible for anyone but me to find her, so how did they disappear" I said getting angry as I was certain that she be safe till she's comes back to us. "The protection you casted on the blanket to cover your twin hasnt been moved by exterior factors, it looked like it was moved by the inside" Plasma answered, which when he said that, only one thing came to mind, but I didn't want to give myself false hope, in the chance I was wrong, as there's a lot of messed up species in this place that could have appeared under the blanket, that I didn't take into factor when I casted the spell or when I left to search for food. Taking a chance on the tiny bit of hope I sent out small messages through the mind link between us, in the small chance that she has come back, but if not that something would hear it, so I could locate the body, to track the thief and destroy them for taking Jane away from me.

With another day coming to the end, I started preparing the raw meat from the Minotaur, which I used Plasma to slice up into thick slices to a similar thickness of a pork chop, yet was on a much larger scale due to how big a Minotaur is to a pig. After slicing up a good portion size of about twelve slices for myself that I began to coat in the blood of the Cyclops to give it a extra taste while I cooked it over a roaring fire that I made using a fire spell as I found it easier that way than the old fashioned way of rubbing sticks together, that in this place wasn't the easiest way to retrieve unless you wanted to encounter the reverse mosquitos that hung around those patches of area. As a hour passed drawing a close to the day as dealing with the meat and preparing them took quite some time, then cooking it for a hour, it was nice to see the smoke from the meat coming from it, and hearing the sizzling sounds that sounded more inviting than just the looks of the cooked Minotaur meat chops. As I began to take a bit from one of the Minotaur meat chops I heard a bustling sound of movement from behind me, that must have been only five feet away, I put my meat back to simmering fire keeping the meat from going cold, "who's there?, come out peacefully if you intend to live to see the next five seconds of your pitiful life" I shouted, as I summoned ice to form in my hands to freeze the intruder to a cold miserable death, trapped in an ice prison.

As the intruder slowly appeared out of the rustling bush that it hid behind, I saw two hands slowly appear out to show they were unharmed, which hands alone looked familiar yet, false hope I didn't want to accept just yet, "Jane?" I asked, "Alec?" The voice spoke out of the bush. "So if I show myself fully, your not gonna end my pitiful life in a frozen prison, because if so I burn myself out of it to freeze you in one, leaving your head out in the open so you can answer my questions that I have, after appearing here away from the last place I remembered being at" Jane replied while still being hidden in the bush, I chuckled, "it's really you, only you would say something like that after returning back to life, I've missed you, and you get your answers, if you join me for some food that I've not long cooked up" I said wiping away a single tear that tried to weep out of my eyes into a waterfall, as it felt good to have my twin back again. As I dissolved my ice spell, Jane walked fully out of the bush, smiling at me as she walked up to me, giving me a huge hug, which made it difficult to stop the waterfall coming from my eyes, "you have quite a bit to catch me up on what I've missed in my time away, brother" Jane said as she pulled away hands on her waist and tapping her foot, causing another smile to appear. "You have no idea how much you have missed and got to catch up on, but first let's eat, I'm not sure about you but I'm starving" I said as I walked back towards where the meat chops were waiting as Jane followed behind.

As we sat next to each other with a Minotaur meat chop in hand, I had several bites of mine before I looked to Jane to see that she has yet to take a single bite of hers, "what's wrong, is it not cooked enough or do you need more flavouring to be added on?" I asked concerned that it was the meat that was the problem, Jane shook her head, "it's not that, even though I love to know what it is we are eating, as it does smell and look tasty, but it's just that everything feels different" Jane said looking down at the meat. "Oh" I said with a pause, "the meat is from what appeared to be a Minotaur with some slight change in its appearances, and the blood that is glazing on the meat is from a Cyclops that also had slight changes too" I said as I took few more bites, before I swallowed my mouthful down in one big gulp, "what do you mean by different sis?, as quite a bit has happened so if you tell me what bits feel different I can explain them if I'm able to" I said. Jane took a big bite, "this is good, didn't know you cooked" Jane said before taking a few more mouthful of the meat, "well for one I went back to the last place I could remember before appearing here, that I've also noticed you redesigned as a temporary base of sorts" Jane added, finishing off her chop, before grabbing another one. "Well as much as I want to tell you what happened there, I actually don't know myself, I kinda blacked out and l saw it all myself, I was covered in blood myself, but none of it my own, I can only guess I did it as both swords was caked in blood of Victor Wretched the guardian, but I have no recollection of the fight that took place after your death by his hands" I explained as I finished off my meat chop and started on my second one too, "what happened afterwards?" Jane added as she finished off her second chop, which I assumed she would be hungry just not as much as eating this ravenously, thankfully I cooked twelve meat chops, and there was more still yet to be cooked up if needed. "Well I found a way to bring you back with a deal that we, or I have to get rid of these two demonic beings from this plane of existence otherwise I lose my ability to summon anything, which isn't the end of the world for me but I do intend to keep my end of the bargain" I said as I finished off another meat chop, "who did you make the deal with brother?" Jane asked looking concerned while still eating between words, "it was the angel of death, but it was originally supposed to be a demonic being I was attempting to summon to bring you back" I said, trying not to look at Jane's eyes as I knew she wouldn't be pleased that I went as far as I did to bring her back. "Alec why? You should have left me to stay dead, it's not because I don't love you, because you know I do, but the price to bring something or someone is always too high to pay, your just lucky that to get rid of demonic beings isn't the highest of payment to pay, but don't ever do that again, am I clear" Jane said to me looking annoyed, while I could just faintly hear her thoughts and mind again that she was happy to be back just as equally, "yes Jane I understand " I said with a smile as we continued eating while catching up on everything else that was less of importance but I wanted to talk to my twin more and tell her everything that I felt was important just to make sure that I wasn't imagining all this with her.

Two days later

After a couple of days of catching up and showing Jane all the new things I've been upto, that she was beyond impressed until I told her that about Moon also faded alongside when she died too, just little time later to help me to find a way to bring her back, she shedded some tears from the loss of Moon but promised that she still aid me in battle even with the sword that didn't hold Moon within it, as she said that the form the sword was in, was still useable just it lacked everything that Moon did. "Don't forget that without Moon I can channel my own magic into it now, which it may not change form but I can still kick butt with it, brother" Jane said as we was sparing with our swords just that I was communicating with Plasma as we fort to practice new sword techniques, while refining ones we are already skilled at, so that we can say that me not just perfected it but improved the perfection to that which can't even be named above perfect but that what we have done.

"Hey Alec when we was practicing, did you notice blue sparks whenever our swords clashed, by parry as one of us defended against each other" Jane asked, as she ducked under a flurry of my thrusts and slashes, "actually I just assumed it was that you channeled some electricity of some kind as sparks come from electricity or a start of a fire, but if you felt it was important it's best to keep an close eye on it, to see if it does happen again or it does something else, could be a power up or something for you or both of us" I said as I changed tactics using my leg to stamp the ground to shake it up like a mini earthquake, causing Jane to push herself up into the air, hovering. "Thanks twin, so do you think we are both ready to continue on the journey because it's not even been a week since my return back from the actual death, so I can understand if you want to wait awhile longer, definitely as we are not short on food if required and blood nourishment" Jane asked while she stopped hovering to throw fire balls with her hand while getting a few good nicks of her sword at my arms as I tried to dodge the fire balls and sword, which she must have worked out a pattern in my movements, which I was impressed with, even if wished I didn't get hit, but that was the whole point of our sparring. "Well your right that we have plenty to keep us going if we wanted to stay and continue to practice, and yes you only come back less than a week not even that as you been alive again, for two single days at most, but the decision isn't just on me, we are a team remember so if you feel up for it, then I say let's go, but if you don't feel ready then we can stay a bit, as I'm sure we can find more supplies to keep going as this place seems easy pickings for food supplies which means we can also gather more of their blood too, though we have a incredible amount as it is, as we require little of both to survive unless we are badly injured that our regeneration healing can't keep up with" I explained as we decided to put a stop for the time being on our sparring session, which we both decided to go explore as we both had a thought about what we discussed during our sparring session, that we do every two to three hours, to prevent us getting bored but to also ensure that we was at our best.

As we explored more of the area, getting better at it without getting lost or going to the same area twice, I had a niggling feeling, "Jane, ever wonder what everyone back home is doing now, if they are on the same time as we are now I mean?" I asked, as it has cropped up in our thoughts ever since we arrived in the dimension, going one area to another, but time wise I've just wondered, if that when we return will it be years since we left or would it be smaller, let's hope it's not centuries or worse than that, as that would be a cause for concern if that happened. "Actually I've been wondering the same, but with all that we learnt and hope to gather more artefacts, so fingers crossed everything goes well, but if either of us does want to check on them I'm sure everyone be ok" Jane mentioned, as we continued to walk about at a casual stroll as we didn't want to waste all our energy speed walking or running, as sometimes you miss the little things and the beauty of the world, but even so, the patch of area we are in seems hospital, which normally we would have said to be boring but we kinda enjoyed seeing some of the area that was just peaceful for once and it something that we had to defend against.

Two days later

"From what you twin said before, she may be onto something, because I've just felt something that feels impossible but possibly like my own twin's power resonating, somewhere close by, but we got to hurry before Moon's essence is gone forever" Plasma screamed into my head while I was meditating to see how far I can push myself to see beyond what my eyes can see regularly, as it help with exploration and when we are trying to locate enemies or guardians in our case of where we are, "okay, calm down, I won't let it get that far where we lose Moon's essence because as much as my twin is powerful with the empty vessel that your twin took, she can't reach the full extent with it being whole again" I said speaking only to Plasma, as I've learnt quite recently that ever since Jane's came back to life she isn't able to hear through the mind link like she used to, so I think if we got Moon back, then hopefully that connection will return also. "Jane, we have to move like right now, I know that our mind link isn't working between us since your revival of sorts, but my connection is still just as strong with Plasma, and he interrupted my mediation, to tell me that we may have a way to bring to bring Moon back to that empty vessel of a sword that you been using impressively" I said as I knew that Jane was close by even though she wasn't actively right next to me, most likely only a a few feet away that she still could hear me. Rush of wind hit my back, with Jane standing behind me, "Wait so we can get her back again, let's stop dawdling around and get moving as it's unfair to leave a fellow warrior behind to wait as long as we have been doing," Jane said, sounding excited.

"Lead the way, Plasma" I said, as my sword began to use itself as a sort of compass, as it's blade pointed edge began to show us which direction to go, before it disappeared and reappeared on my back waiting for when it's next needed, "that's the direction you need to go, there I will tell you when to change direction but it's stronger in that direction, please hurry my friend" Plasma pleaded through our link, "so I guessing we are going in the direction of north east of where we are currently at, unless I've got my directions wrong but either way it's the way that Plasma pointed, thank him for me" Jane said with a smile as we both started to move in the direction we was given.

As the directions began to change every so often, but none of that bothered us as long as we got to our destination first, before it was all for nothing, "Alec I feel something, it feels similar to that of when that spark happened when our weapons collided in our sparring session, do you think it's her calling out to me, just as she was to your bonded weapon" Jane said to me as she stopped to press against her head, like she head a headache but the kind she wanted, which I could tell by the smile and a few tears that shed, which made me know it's not the one of agony and pain that usually happens when you get one. I got close to Jane, bending down to see her eyes glazed white, yet she was still conscious as her facial features changed between happiness and confusion, "Jane can you hear me still, if so tell me what you are seeing or whatever is happening as I'm not sure if your aware but your eyes have glazed white" I said, as I just wanted to make sure that she was fine. Jane stood up, hands coming away from her head, but now to hug me, as my head rested upon on her shoulders as we hugged, I could see that Jane's sword was glowing blue, more so from the stone that onced was the moonstone, that imbued the sword to do what Plasma, does with the bloodstone to empower the sword I wield. "You see it right, she's returning to us" Jane started to say but then paused briefly, "even as we speak she talking to me like we never parted ways" Jane added, before she pulled away, her eyes returning back to their usual colour, but her facial reaction was that of surprise, confusion but also that of glee, "so unlike your memory of what you said you blacked out for, she remembers and I really don't know what to say, about what happened after I died brother" Jane mentioned with a blank impression, before she hugged me once more,"never knew you held so my rage within you brother, I thought I was the one who always had the anger management issues, even before we met Anubis, I knew you hold back, but that was completely different to what Moon told me about what happened, she called it The Berserker State, something very rare in both species that we are a hybrid of, but also something very dangerous if not used to control it better, as you can harm allies, but when used correctly it is a powerful state that hardly anything can survive from it" Jane explained, while also looking to be concerned for me. "So with Moon returned to us, our mind link now working again, do you want to have some fun locating our next artefact, and possible guardian for us to defeat" Jane ask through the link, to which I just nodded as I felt no need to answer, hoping that if I can access that state once more to learn to use it without worry that I harm Jane in the aftermath, as it only came when I was filled with pure rage at losing my twin and I don't want to lose her again just to access it.

Three days later

Jane's POV

After three hard tough days after finding Moon again, as she told me her essence was drifting about trying to communicate with either me or Plasma, trying to find her way back to us, thankful that Plasma heard her message and helped guide us closer enough, so her essence in a sense to bond to me physically which in turn allowed her to claim the sword as the vessel once more, but now with a stronger connection for us both. We both regularly converse with each other alongside with our own twins, trying to make sense of so many things that had happened and has been happening, because we all have unanswered questions that need answers, I know that Alec wants to know more about the Berserker State, which the tome has nothing on or it does and just that we're not ready to read that particular part of the tome that continues to stay as a blank page, which has definitely become that more annoying. On the other hand it took us some time to locate a way out of here to either the next place to locate a new artefact or see another guardian, of course my twin brother feels guilty that because of Victor Wretched's death we won't know like we did with Anubis, which brought up a problem in itself that we couldn't find a way to communicate with him either for the help, which left us alone to find our way out alone.

"Absolutely nothing, we are stuck here with no out, besides that of our world's dimension" Alec shouted angrily, while throwing the tome far away, for it to instantly return back but in my hand this time, almost like the tome itself could sense the frustration and anger resonating from Alec, good thing is that it's nothing close to when he lost himself to the Berserker State, but it does become that of a worry for me, as he tried his best to do everything while trying not to lose me. I walked up to Alec with moon still embedded in the ground alongside Plasma, as we all stopped for a break to take some time to collect ourselves and plan our next step, "Alec calm down, your doing it again, maybe you should take some time to meditate, and hope that bring you some answers that can help us both while releasing all that stress that your building up to fuel your anger" I said soothingly, Alec nodded, "your right thanks, meditation is something I should do more often to keep myself in check" Alec said as he walked off to find some open space to be alone leaving me with Moon and Plasma.

With time to myself I summoned Moon to hand, ready to practise as I held it in a thrusting position like that of a rapier, but kept it in its Excalibur form, eyes shut as I collected all my focus and will in the blade's edge, thinking only to myself to concentrate and will the blade to form a shield of protection. As I opened my eyes I saw the blade's edge was glowing blue, to which looked to be ice blue colouring, but not just that I could see, was that a shield formed but it was smaller than I intended as it only surrounded myself leaving little space for movement. As I dropped my concentration of the shield, which allowed it to disappear, as I wanted the shield to extend outwards to protect more than myself but to also have strength in it to protect against attacks without crumbling, but first I needed it to be bigger.

Several hours later

It's been quite a few hours to myself, while Alec meditates to himself in peace, while I've been practising with little luck going my way, I've managed to expand it slightly but still no where near bigger enough for me to be happy with the progress but I did need to take a break from it and see where my twin is, in hopes that he's ready to continue our search. I picked up Plasma while willing Moon to stay on my back as I didn't need to use her, with the lack of life besides that of myself and my twin.

As I go into a jog in search of Alec I come across an invisible wall blocking my path, something that is either protecting itself or is hiding something. As I use Plasma to touch the invisible wall, it gets through but refuses entry of my hand, which causes the sword to drop inside the wall, as I become intrigued instead of being confused or annoyed, I summon Moon to do the exact thing I did with Plasma, but this time it rebounds off, which as I figured must be Alec's doing to mediate in peace, only allowing for his sword to return to him if he has need of it. "Alec if you can hear me in there, I hope you are ready to continue our journey to find where to go next" I call out loudly, only to get a tap on the back of my shoulder, causing me to turn around to see Alec smiling at me, "seriously, I kind of wish I had a fireball to throw at your face for doing that" I said as Alec just continued to smile at me, restraining himself from laughing, "well I'm glad that you find it funny, so can we get a move on or are you content to stay here longer" I said with my hands on my hips, "yeah we can go now" I said with a smile.

As we travelled further, I wasn't sure if it was a good thing or not but the scenery was changing, quicker than my eyes could keep up to see, yet it neither bothered me as it was something more pleasing to the eye. I still had questions about this dimension, as it seems to be filled with so much for us to explore and learn about it, like how it came to be and why it seemed more versatile than that of our home that seemed to be made of a singular state, of less changes and at a slower pace of change and evolution, yet this dimension must have multiple states that exist on the same plane of existence, which shouldn't be possible, yet it seems like it is, because it doesn't matter how much you try to think you know or worked it out, something else crops up making it even more impossible or confusing, yet part of you just find yourself more immersed to see what else comes along. All I know and I'm sure that Alec knows too, is that going from Anubis's part of the dimension, to Victor's, shouldn't be possible unless this is just a planet, of a size unimaginable because we must have gone down several layers inside it, yet it hasn't changed much in the atmosphere to be a issue, which just brings up more questions than it's worth keeping count anymore. Still after everything is dealt with, returning back to this dimension is a must, and if we can travel to any other dimensions that possibly exist alongside this one or even that of our home, then we may bring along our friends and family to journey with us if they seek a more exciting life than that we have been living, for as long as we have maybe our powers could do more than just help us but others too.

As the scenery finally stopped shifting, it looked like we were in an area that resembled much like a bunch of mountains, a few volcanoes that leaked lava, just not that of an orangey red or yellow colouring, as it was that of a green ooze colour, with bits of blue. The volcanos themselves still looked exactly the same, which did raise the question about the lava colouring and if it was safe or dangerous to touch, but looking at the mountains that didn't have a point but that looked curved like it had a smooth top, besides that the mountains didn't look that much different, which was a odd change from that we came from but I had no complaints besides that I was curious what else was here to see, and what type of artefact reside here, what it does, is it a power up or something else entirely, so many questions, yet knowing we didn't want to stay for long with how much there is still to do. "Alec what do you think?" I asked, as I was trying to resist the urge to explore and see what there is to see, "besides the lava, seems almost like home, but I'm hoping to be surprised" Alec responded while he turned his head round trying to sense what's about, almost like he learnt to be more aware of a calm surroundings, for hidden dangers, that I know all too well, that something is about just not all areas that are peaceful, are what they seem, which means that if something is hidden, waiting to pounce then, they should be careful, because i'm not planning to die again, not for over a millennium worth of years, maybe even longer than that if life still is this exciting, like it has been since we entered this dimension.

Couple of days later

With the two days that's passed, we made good use of the time to explore the new terrain, testing some theories that we both had and wanted to see if we was right or not, most of the time it turned in our favour of being right, for example there was indeed hidden creatures just that not all of them was dangerous, which was a huge relief. We found out that the lava wasn't dangerous to plant life but anything else was free game to be incinerated on sight, which we found out when we threw a carcass into it as it started to slowly dissolve from the steam leaving what's left to go by the lava that dissolved even faster. The creatures that roamed this area, wasn't a huge threat to us, less of a threat than Gobwuriese were, that could have been to many factors that have changed since then, or it was just plainly that they was just weak and easy to prey to us.

"Alec you did collect the blood from the carcasses before you disposed of them right?" I asked as I saw Alec dispose of twelve legged beast that would have been described as a centipede, but they stand up in a bipedal stance which allowed it to free use of its six arms that it had, three on each side of its body, with venomous stinger, that comes out just below the wrist, it also had a scorpion like tail on its back end. We found out that when stung by them, that we was immune to their venom or maybe all poisons, either way we not planning to experiment with that, but I was lucky as I got caught with a tiny scratch from one stinger that caught me as I was occupied with watching it move in such a unconventional way, that seemed unique to this beast, as they was just a few feet taller than us. "Yeah I managed to get some, but you should know they don't contain that much in just one of them, so if we are to collect enough blood and poison from them to investigate at a later time, then we may have to hunt more of them down to fill up just a single bottle as this one only filled up a quarter of a bottle" Alec said as he returned to my side showing me how much of the bottle was filled, "I think that Aro would love to see all these creatures blood that we have collected, the meat and even the poison too, as it would definitely satisfy his curious mind about the massive variety of what we have found and killed to collect it, I think that Caius would enjoy the challenge of taking some of them down, if he can keep up with the strength and speed that he lacks compared to us, but let's just hope that he doesn't sulk like he does about the werewolves, that he got us to help wipe them to near extinction" Alec explained while stopping to chuckle, not that I blame him as Caius constant anger about how the werewolves nearly killed him and then wanted revenge on them, to drive us to wipe out the entire species to extinction was funny to everyone but him, "though I'm not sure how Marcus would see all this, maybe he enjoy it or not, but I think our old coven would enjoy this dimension just because instead of always holding back the power, it would be challenged all the time, unless they can get passed all that we fought" Alec added, looking to be in deep thought once more or talking privately to his bonded sword Plasma once again.

Talking to our bonded swords have greatly grown a big connection to one another, and helped us to learn more about what can be done, of course that hasn't stopped us from killing the centipede, scorpion hybrids without the use of the sword as it helped ourselves to use many spells and flex our muscles so we wasn't always grounded in the ground, as I always enjoyed flipping over my prey to give them a few good swift kicks while punching a hole in the chests for a instant knockout or for Alec to use a move he called a shadow blaze punch, as he ends up killing them in a single strike. We occasionally turn to the tome to read new things that appear but most often find them require materials we yet to locate, but we have learnt the location of where the next artefact, that isn't far from where we are currently, but as for why we haven't gone to retrieve it, we didn't want to rush as we still have a bunch more afterwards to retrieve, but if we don't get to stay here for long it makes the journey all the more boring, or that we go unprepared. I found out only yesterday that Alec went alone without me and let's just say he got more than he bargained for as he got beat, thankfully not killed but beaten enough to learn to wait for me and go when more prepared.

"Alec how's the arm?" I called out, knowing that's where he got harmed the worst at, yet he refuses to acknowledge that it was his doing that his arm was in a bad shape because of it, "I know what your doing sis, it's doing better, just needs a few more hours before it's back to normal, which I know your gonna say that tangoing with those hybrid beasts doesn't help the recovery, but I can't just sit and wait for it to recover, I need to keep myself in a tip top shape, for when we take another go at it" Alec groaned, which just made me chuckle, "well your right, I was gonna say that, but if you get beat by those hybrid beasts then you know I won't ever let you live that down" I said as I laughed even more at Alec's expense. "Ha ha laugh it up, just you wait till you get there, then we see who's laughing" Alec said looking annoyed, yet smiled at the thought of me getting thrown into a wall, just to make himself feel better, not in a horrible way but just so I know that he's just as annoyed with himself that he got beat, and that I shouldn't laugh at him, because if I got the same treatment then I would feel the same, which I did but I just liked teasing him, one because it's just us and no one else to tease, but also because he's my twin and we both like to wind each other up just as much as we get along with each other.

Several days later

After much debate I managed to persuade Alec to give it another shot at retrieving this artefact, but this time together and not going at it alone, even if it felt like an easy task to do. The journey to this area where Alec said he encountered difficulties, was quite easy to find, the terrain itself was just like everything else that we have explored, but couldn't see anything that resembled anything like a temple or even a doorway, yet this area definitely gave off a strange but strong feeling of something hidden. "you feel that right?" Alec said looking concerned and wary, while just in his body language he was shaking in what I wanted to say was fear, but for my twin's feelings I would say he was just worried about what would pop up. "I wouldn't say I feel something, but it does give off a strong feeling of a hidden danger or dangers, that with one wrong move, something will come out and attack or trap us" I said feeling more concerned for Alec than myself as I wasn't all that worried, yes this area was giving off strange readings in what lurks ahead. We have learnt that as with each day, week, month and year, our power increases, so being able to sense the unsensible kind of dangers just becomes what they call second nature or a reflex, it just makes what we do even more amazing, when we can do something else that's even more complex than the last, but to us it just easy.

Tempting what they call fate, I take several steps forward, noticing I've entered a room, but I don't see Alec anywhere, yet this room has no roof but does show the outside, thinking to myself that I have choices that I could make, as I observed my surroundings before I decide to take another step that could trigger something else. "Jane, where are you?, you literally disappeared in front of my eyes when I turned round, yet I know you must be close by too, otherwise this link wouldn't work if we was too far away" Alec spoke into my head, as I take my observation of my surroundings even more closely, as I know that something is watching me, but that something else is wrong, just can't put my finger on it, "well besides that I took a few steps and landed in a room, feeling like I'm being watched and that something just feel wrong about this, I don't have a exact answer to where I disappeared, or how I vanished in front of your eyes" I said though I was curious to why Alec didn't follow me or if he did what happened to him, for him to not appear exactly where I am. Taking approach that may work or may not, I took a giant leap to see what is outside this room, but when I got as high as where it looked to be able to get out through the roof, it seemed like the walls of the room moved up with me, as I came back down from my leap I felt as my feet hit the ground sooner than I thought almost like my leap in the air wasn't as high as I assumed, either that or my assumptions of something wrong about this room was right, but not yet worked out what it was.

As I sat on the ground, putting my hands against the ground to feel what's beneath it or what's around me, yet getting no response, just a silence with the occasional jittering of static. "So where are you? Did you follow me, where you saw me disappear?" I asked Alec through the only form of communication that I could do, while still examining the room, trying to see what else I could try next, "I did follow you but I'm still where you last saw me, so whatever took you or made you vanish, didn't want me to join or it's just powerful enough to do something that won't be easy to out manoeuvre as this one's seems just as good with spells as us, that's if it is using magic and if so what type of magic is it" Alec said, which definitely gave me something to go by, yet wonder what this thing has to gain by separating us, is it the guardian or something else entirely that's controlling all this.

Forming several balls of ice all in the size of football, I began to scatter them in different directions just to see if they trigger a trip wire to a trap or anything else that could happen, either way I intend to see what happens in each direction to see if I should worry or not about where I should move, to avoid being placed in a different room with oddities, or have a similar experience to my twin when he arrived here before. Of course what he described to me was completely different to this, for whatever reason it was I don't know but my interest peaked with this, feels oddly familiar to something I was told or from a book, as Victor Wretched definitely was something close to a book. As I threw the balls of ice, starting from the front of where I was facing, throwing them before I turn again slightly bit by bit to see the impact, as with each one when I threw them, nothing happened in the sense that the balls of ice disappeared after being thrown not even a quarter of he way to where the wall should have been. Instead of losing my temper, I tried different elemental magic all in the form of a ball the same size, repeating the same thing I did with the ice, throwing them in different directions, getting the same response of them completely vanishing before they even landed a hit at the walls. "I'm not sure what's it like for you on your end but I've been bombarded with a form of elemental magic, thankfully I managed to dodge majority of them but, it's getting strange, I'm gonna try and move forward to see if the scene changes or if I appear where you are" Alec said forcing me to stop as, if it was indeed my elemental magic formed balls that was attacking him when they vanish, then I can't risk it happening again, even if it was strange how it happened.

I didn't respond back to Alec just to be sure that whatever it was that rebounded my magic to hit him instead of where I was aiming at, then I can't risk it try to pit us against each other a second time, yet no signs that I could see, to figure out who was behind this. "Jane, I hope you like my game, because it's no fun if you're not having fun too" the voice spoke in a playful tone, but I could just hear the hint of seriousness that lined the edge of it, like it was a warning to keep playing this game, even if I knew nothing of what the game was or how to play it, but just pretend like I do, "if this is a game, isn't there supposed to be rules or some way to know if I'm playing it right, but yes your game is very interesting and enjoyable" I said, getting a just a shock of electricity coursing through my entire body, which hurt like hell, which must have meant that the voice knew I was lying or something else must have been the course of it. "Adults shouldn't tell lies" the voice spoke with a childish laugh, "so I lied, boo hoo" I said, while using my hands to make it look like I was crying but the way I made my voice sound it was sarcastic, "so what are you, if you want me to play then at least show yourself, to tell me how I playing this is what you want" I demanded in a more heavy tone like I was telling off a human child for being naughty or disobedient. A ghostly image formed in front of me, but only showing from the head to the waist, of what looked like a small female child, who's ears was white as snow, with appearance of a fox yet the face looked almost human, if you ignored the fox like ears. "My name is Kit, want to be my friend, if you do I'll tell you anything you want to know, as long as I know the answer, I may look small, but my parents said I'm special and very intelligent for my age of over nine centuries old" Kit's face changed to look proud which showed in her voice, "don't tell anyone but my daddy and mommy is much older than me, and stronger, but they have no time for me now, so will you be my friend, pretty please" Kit asked making her eyes grow bigger and look cute that it made me stop myself from running up to hug her, "sure I'll be your friend, so tell me why me, where's my twin brother, and you sure it's just a game your after?" I asked, as it she wants me to play her games and be her friend then I want answers first. "That's easy, your brother is behind you sleeping, silly" Kit said smiling with a childish laugh, "don't you like games? I love games definitely when I have someone to play with, you will play with me?" Kit said turning to a more serious and darker demenor, which made me second guess my next words, "yes I like games, yes I will play with you" I said sullenly, while Kit's ghostly image looked like it was jumping for joy.

Waiting for Kit to show herself I began to walk about the room, noticing it was not hiding any traps or trigger points, yet I tried a few jumps to exit the room but no matter how many times I tried it was always the same problem I had before. "Friends, don't abandon each other" Kit's voice spoke again but this time the image appeared behind me, only that this time it had a mischievous smile as I found that there was no floor beneath my feet, and I was now falling into a black hole endlessly, feeling faint as the gravity pull was making it harder and harder to keep myself awake and aware.

Unaware of how much time must have passed I woke up in a different room with a roof this time around and looked to be more of a mix between a forest and a children's bedroom but the wooden blocks were the same size as me, I could see that I was lying on the ground. As I picked myself back up, I saw that Alec was still sleeping in the exact same position as before behind me, not just that but I could see Kit standing in front of me, pouting while looking down at me, which was odd and weird as she was still a child but yet she looked bigger than me,. "Did you have fun?" Kit asked, yet obviously not finished talking, "my mommy taught me that trick, when someone is being mean or doesn't like to play by the rules" Kit added, something just clicked in my head, like the answer was there the whole time, with who or what I'm dealing with, "your a Kitsune, Japanese nine tailed fox, known for its tricks, mischievousness, and for being both and neither good or bad, not just that but is nobel enough to keep its word when give it" I said, while stunning Kit, slightly but then Kit's form changed to showcase it's nine tails all in white and its skin was covered in white fur just like it's tails and ears, as she shrunk back to size of a small child that I was used to once more. "Your smarter than your twin, very perceptive too" Kit said, "so are you the guardian of an artefact, as we, myself and my twin, who's still snoozing away, which I'm guessing you enchanted to sleep, are on a journey to collect as many as possible to be stronger enough to protect our own, while also to defeat this enemy of ancient long war that is coming" I explained, "he will awaken soon, when we are finished as you still promise me to play with me, but after yes he will be out of the enchanted sleep I put him under, by his own doing" Kit said, "unfortunately I'm not the guardian that your seeking for the artefacts, that I do wish you luck on getting as your enemy of this long ancient war, as the I overheard these guardians you speak of, talking about he's more powerful than them all put together" Kit explained, which did make me feel annoyed that this was a waste of a journey, "I may not have the ability to read your mind like the guardians, but I'm intelligent enough to know just by your face and body, that you feel this was a waste to your journey that you spoke of" Kit said, "it's not a waste you know, you have given me a friend in you, even if you tried to abandon me, twice as I did see that you attempted your escape both times, but you worked out what I was, which relying on your intelligence does often work better than brute force" Kit added. I did wonder that if she's a Kitsune, who likes to play tricks, then that means she also uses illusions just like the rest of her mind would, so how much of this is a illusion and how much of it is real, I'm assuming the room must be part of the illusion, besides that is my twin and Kit herself part of the illusion or real like myself standing here, "your funny to look at when your in deep thought" Kit said smiling, causing me to smile back, "thank you, you guess, so how much of all this is illusion magic that your kind or species use?" I asked, "silly it's all part of the illusion" Kit said while smiling, "so can you play now, I'm getting bored of answering questions definitely as I just wanna play" Kit said sounding more like a child who's about to start a temper tantrum, than a Kitsune who's over nine centuries old.

Several hours later

As I gave in with the questions as I had so many, so it felt unfair to keep asking a child Kitsune, thankfully after playing several games of draughts and a few that I haven't heard of or haven't played in ages myself, she did tell me that her father would be hear soon, so I could ask my questions then, which I agreed to. For as much time that passed, I quickly forgot about my snoozing twin and everything else, as I was deeply enjoying just playing games, with someone who can keep up with my intelligence and strategies, of course I lost a few and won others, most of the time I let myself lose, without making it obvious just to keep Kit happy. Whenever the subject of asking if she was here or if this was a illusion or not I always got a response of a powerful electric shock, thankfully it didn't effect my hair as I would have hated if gave Alec a reason to laugh when awakening, it's not that didn't appreciate the friendship or not being enchanted to sleep, it's just that with everything around us being a illusion, I thought all this with Kit would also be a illusion too.

After winning three times in a row, I stood up, "okay we have had fun playing games Kit, but I'm sure you know that I can't stay here forever, I did promise to return after its all ended" I said with a more stern tone yet friendly too as I didn't want to scare her or feel trapped in a black hole again, as it didn't matter if it was a illusion or not, it feels so real that it makes it impossible to break that type of illusion. Maybe just maybe I can get her to teach me how she does it, as it would be a handy trick in battle, but not just that I want to have a better understanding of how it works so that it makes it more possible to break that illusion if she does it on me. Makes me wonder that if her parents are even more powerful at this type of magic then I have zero change at getting passed their illusions. "Kit, it's time to go now, release your friends too, before I come in there and take your illusion down myself" a much louder male voice boomed through the walls just outside of it, which I guessed must have been her dad, "that's not fair daddy, I was having fun, plus I was getting to know my new friend Jane" Kit moaned, I decided to keep quiet and just listen, "don't make me start counting!" The voice boomed through again even louder.

"Fine" Kit said sadly, as I could see everything around me fade in a shimmer to where I could see Alec snoozing on the floor, "release your friends too, even the disrespectful one that's currently snoozing" the father Kitsune spoke, as I could now see him standing tall, a good four feet taller than myself, looking very intimidating, yet held his nine white tails calmly in a standing position. "But, but, daddy, you know I can't remember how to wake something from being enchanted yet" Kit said, yet I knew that must have been false as when full grown they have full use of their gifts and abilities, but I'm assuming she just wanted or liked watching her dad using his. The father Kitsune, walked towards me, but instead of coming at me, he walked passed towards Alec, standing above him, "Kit's friend, I know you can use water magic, throw some ice cold water on your twin, and then leave us" Kit's father demanded in a deep tone, I stopped, frozen in place, before I got shocked out of shock at being told what to do, "better?" Kit said as she let go of my hands that I didn't even know she had been holding, nodding in response, I summoned a Jetstream of the coldest water I could muster, guiding it to flow over the father, dropping it just over where I could still see my brother snoozing happily. As the ice cold water splashed on Alec, he shot up quickly with annoyed look on his face but immediately changed when he saw that the father Kitsune was watching him, "leave now, never return, unless you wish to feel what true illusion magic can do to cause you unimaginable pain for the entirety of your existence" the father Kitsune said, sternly.

Instead of running away, Alec stared at me, "I'll catch up, I don't think that Kit will want me to leave even with her father here, plus she promised that I get my answers from her father" I mind spoke, "maybe so but you can't trust them, remember they are michievious, and are a bit of a trickster, compared to most of the other species. I know for a fact she won't want you to leave but keep you as her personal plaything" Alec replied back, I knew he trusted me, just not them, which I couldn't fault him for but I needed him to let me do this. "Maybe so, but trust me enough to do this alone, I know for a fact they won't let you stay, because whatever you did or say to them, they obviously don't like you" I told him, " fine, but if anything happens to you, even a little bit, I'll find a way to get them, through whatever means necessary, even using the Berserker State that I haven't figured out how to access again" Alec replied back, with so much seriousness I knew he wasn't messing about when he said it unlike before he lost me to Victor, as I cut our mind link to a finish, I saw Alec walk away not taking his eyes away from me, with one last look he flung himself into the air in a big leap to make his way back I hoped.

"Now that your idiot twin is gone, I assume my daughter promised you something, as I know her too well, so spit it out before you find out what a true Kitsune in his ancient years is capable of" Kit's father demanded, as I looked at Kit, "is your dad always like this?" I asked her, as Kit nodded in response, "your Kit's father, do you have a name or should I just call you her father? I have many questions that I hope you wouldn't mind answering as your daughter my friend said you would answer if I was her friend, plus she has started to grow on me despite not being what I expected and enchanting my brother to sleep which now I don't mind her doing as he needed the rest" I said staring at Kit's father right up at his eyes, waiting to get a response. Kit's father looked down to his daughter Kit who looked up to him, "you just had to make a friend with one with lots of questions, didn't you, I told you before to be careful who you make friends with even if you forced them or not, well I can't let you break your promise now, so I might as well get this over with'' Kit's father said to his daughter before he looked back at me, "i have a few conditions that you must agree to if you wish to get your answers from me, firstly, that is you will keep your friendship with my daughter a secret to protect our kind from being known, as there's not many of us left, secondly, you understand that what I tell you is all that we know, so if it's not what you seeked then, were not to blame, thirdly, you deal with your twin and get him to behave himself the next time we meet, as when you seek my daughter to play, I will be watching everything, to ensure her safety and her happiness. Do we have a deal?" Kit's father demanded, I nodded, which caused the father to smile, "very well let's start".

"My name is Kitsan, my bond mate's name is Kitsoon, and you know that my daughter is called Kit, our species is that of a Kitsune, which is why our naming you would call unoriginal but it's what our parents called us and what we have called our daughter, anything else you wish to know, you may ask, before I change my mind" Kitsan said as he made chairs appear with his illusion magic, as he took a seat and so did Kit, I shook my head as I felt comfortable standing, "very well" Kitsan said as he waved his hand to make my chair disappear. "Are you the guardian of this area? If so, what do myself and my twin need to do to pass and enter the next?" I asked, Kitsan looked annoyed, "I'm the guardian of this area, but you don't need to do anything to get to the next, as you could say you befriended my daughter, your twin did not but I let that pass for now. If your seeking the artefact from me or this area, you shouldn't look very far as if you look around my daughter's neck, she is wearing it, one you wear it, you have access to my level of magic adjacent to your own, call it a boost if sorts, you may as well have my ring that does the exact thing for your twin." Kitsan explained, while a orange glow covered both the ring and necklace, removing themselves from both Kit and Kitsan into my hands, "thank you, is it possible you could teach me a few tricks of illusion magic, as I feel it could be very helpful in a tight spot or to make some great ways to protect but also attack any enemies" I asked, sensing that Alec was close by but keeping a distance hoping not to be see, yet if I could sense him, he could tell I know that he's there, hopefully he plays it smart and goes back before Kitsan notices. "Alec I know your close by, I may not see you, but I know your there, you better show yourself and join this twenty questions before I change my mind" Kitsan said looking annoyed, yet did so without moving, shocking me, "yes Jane I knew your twin couldn't stay away, I'm annoyed that he didn't stay away, but impressed by his loyalty to stay close to you, but also that he kept himself hidden for so long as I'm guessing he has been keeping hidden for some time. As to your question yes I'll teach you both some, as it could provide some entrainment for myself as I haven't taught anyone how to do illusion magic since kit was a newborn" Kitsan mentioned, which Alec also appeared as he finished speaking, looking at me worryingly, "when you say newborn how old is that for your kind, without coming across as disrespectful" Alec said beating me to saying that, as I saw a smirk on his face as he knew that, "well for vampires it's the first year, for a Kitsune, it's the first six months, so yes my little Kit learned at a very young age, but with age, she gets more intelligent and powerful, but for you both, it should be quite easy to pick up on, as I know you both are quite skilled with the elemental type magic, that out kind can only harness just one element, but you two can access and harness them all which is just impressive, so illusion magic shouldn't prove that much more difficult but easy for you two" Kitsan explained while keeping his stern posture and tone.

"You say easy for us two, but wouldn't that depend on the perspective, as someone who has grown up around magic you would expect us to find it easy, but no offence but we haven't grown up around magic. Our upbringing was more around being vampires, so despite vampire species having a slight magical enhancement to allow a rare few to have gifts, not all were luckily enough to have them. Even so, your assumption to think we find it easy to learn your type of magic may not be the same case, as it took us longer to learn magic than someone who has grown up around it. Like I said, no offence just informing you, so you can understand our position too." Alec said as he brought up several good points that he obviously heard myself thinking too, but I was impressed that he tried to remain respectful as well as trying to make sure he comes across as being very serious, to not come across as joking about or to cause a fight. "You have raised a good point, that I mistakenly forgot to take into factor, so I apologise for that, despite that I have faith in you both that it's entirely possible to pick it up in a short time. Put on the ring and necklace that I have bestowed upon you, it should make it easier" Kitsan said, as I passed the ring to Alec, who looked at it closely before placing it on his finger, I attached the necklace around my neck, hearing a click sound of the clasp clicking it closed, "now that you both are wearing the ring and necklace, I want you both to close your eyes and take several breathes" as I closed my eyes, taking a deep breath after another, waiting for something to happen or what's next to be asked of us, "now that you have done that, you need to centre yourself mentally, so that your at peace with yourself, allowing everything in your minds to wash over you, cleansing you of anything negative feelings or emotions" hearing Kitsan's voice echoing as with each breathe I felt more comfortable and at peace, so much that you could hear the ripples of a puddle, making me feel soothed. "Now I need you both to open your mind's eyes only, which there shouldn't be any force to open them, but just for it to happen as a reflex or a instinct" Kitsan kept speaking in a soothing tone, that the more I listened to it, I felt what he called the mind's eyes open.

It was astonishing, with my mind's eyes open I was seeing everything different to what we was seeing everything before, it's like I unlocked another part of myself I never knew I had, I could still hear Alec's thoughts echoing my own, feeling like they was even more in sync than before, as what we was seeing and experiencing was unbelievable, yet believable at the exact same time. "If you both are now seeing it all, then I want you to let the first thought come to mind, and with only your mind's eyes, to move your body to bring that thought to reality" Kitsan kept speaking, as mine and Alec's minds and thoughts was in sync, our first thought was too, as all I know is that we heard a gasp, "don't break it, that's just Kit's gasping at what she saw you both producing. I can't fault her as your first attempt at this, is astounding for beginners, I knew you produce something, but just not at the level your doing" Kitsan said while trying to remain focused himself, it was incredible the feeling of perfect peace and serenity, as we was building more to our first thought to that of other thoughts that came to mind and was connected to it, as we felt our thoughts connecting just like how our minds was.

"Now I want you both to start counting backwards from ten, taking a single breath between each number, when you have done that, you can open your eyes to witness what you have produced" Kitsan said, as myself and Alec started counting backwards, remembering to breathe between each number like it mattered. Five, breathe, four, breathe, three, breathe, two, breathe, one and we the last single breath I took, alongside Alec, I opened my eyes, seeing what we produced and it took me aback at what I was seeing. "Impressive I know, what you both made here, is far beyond that of someone with no experience in magic, you may have been brought up in a different situation but whatever your starting point was, you both are far beyond powerful. Your illusion is tough to destroy without effort, trust me my daughter has tried just because she got curious about its strength" Kitsan said as we all turned to see Kit facing our illusion construct, that brought a smile to my face, "what's next?" I asked with a smirk, "Next you gotta tear it down and do it all again but this time with your eyes open, alongside your mind's eyes being open, so you can do more with your illusions than just this impressive display of your two combined might. Also if I may ask what is this called as I've never seen anything like it, yet you both produced this so you must know what it is" Kitsan said with a smirk of his own as he was now sitting on a throne, of that we created, "it's our home, where we come from, we live in a castle with our coven" Alec said. Well let's just saw tearing a illusion construct down wasn't as easy as it was creating it, but thankfully we was patient, so was Kitsan, whereas Kit was gleefully pulling me around the illusion, asking thousands of questions about it all, as it was so detailed you couldn't even tell it was fake, plus I didn't want to tell her that I had to go back and join my brother and her father to try and tear it down.

A couple hours later

With some time passed, Kit and myself was in a room that was mine and Alec's, I knew it wasn't the real thing but it felt real and even looked like it was, it's amazing how much detail we both remembered, even down to the a few books that we had on our desk, that I see kit reading gleefully, "Jane this is so cool, it's a shame you can't stay here forever as I love to see what else you can do like this, as it's just amazing, it's hard to get my head around it" Kit said excitingly, "I understand that I do, but unfortunately there's so much to deal with when I return home, but I will keep my promise to return as I find that your just as much my friend as I am yours" I said, "Jane, Kit, time to come back now, you had your fun and rest, time to continue" Kitsan shouted loudly enough that caused Kit to cringe at the volume that her dad called her and me, "well looks like it's time to find your dad and my twin.

As Kit held onto my hand we walked to the throne room and saw both Alec sitting where Caius usually sits and Kitsan in Aro's seat, which I wasn't sure if it was wrong of me to want to laugh, but part of me couldn't resist, as I let out a laugh that made Alec fall off the throne, which in turn made Kitsan smile and Kit to laugh alongside me. After a few minutes to get over the laugh, Kitsan stood up and looked at us both seriously, "time to get on with business, I want you both to try and tear this masterpiece down, almost like you would when you erase something that you make or draw in reality" Kitsan said, as I tried to erase it, but instead I produced a ball of rubber that was bouncing up and down behind Kitsan, "damn it, this is tougher than I thought it was gonna be" I said, as I saw a second rubber ball, "that was on me sorry" Alec added, while Kitsan grabbed both rubber balls and smashed them together like it was made of thin glass, "those was weak, what happened to the forbiddable strength that you used for this masterpiece, as your rubber balls lacks the same strength and structure, try again" Kitsan said but this time looking frustrated.

Several more hours passed with no luck, but thankfully we stopped creating rubber balls, which Kitsan was pleased about at least where he looked less grumpy, "dad I have an idea that may work" Kit said making Kitsan jump slightly, "what is your idea?" Kitsan asked, trying to look like he wasn't spooked by the little jump scare, even I was curious to what she had in mind, as she was no whisperering into Kitsan's ear that neither I or Alec could hear which was frustrating, but it quickly deflated as quickly as it arises. "My daughter has a idea that after listening to it, it should work, so I want you both to hold hands, so both hands connected to the other's hands, like it's forming a loop of sorts" Kitsan said, which both me and Alec did exactly as informed, "now that you both done that try it again" Kitsan instructed, as we tried again, I felt like something was happening as the illusion was getting thinner, more translucent.

After a minute or two must have passed the illusion disappeared, "it's gone, we did it, but why did it take so much longer to go than it did to appear? Also why did we need to join hands?" I asked, Alec only nodding in agreement, "firstly the reason you both joined hands was because the connection you both had wasn't strong enough when you two was apart, it could be because your illusion was so strong, that it required a infinite loop to pass through you both at the same time, for it to have the strength required to break it down. Secondly it took longer because like I said the strength in your illusion was powerful, full of emotional ties that one or both of you didn't want to fade, so it dragged on to stay longer" Kitsan answered. Kit nudged her father a few times, "do you have something to say Kit?" Alec asked, "yes I do, was wondering if I can watch you three do some illusion magic fighting?" Kit asked, getting a strange look from myself and Alec, while Kitsan smirked, "actually that's a brilliant idea, my dear, it's the perfect way to see if they can use it in a fight to defend and attack as illusions can be used for offensive and defensive manoeuvres, so if you both can do defend and attack just as well as you fight hand to hand, then you both are ready to continue your journey to its end" Kitsan explained, while Kit jumped for joy.

After a bit of discussion, it was decided that Kit would set up the area, so the rest of us can save our energy for the fight, that we decided it's not to the death just so we can see how far we can push ourselves, it didn't stop me from asking if Kitsan be fine with me and Alec going against him as it would be two against one. Kit came to her father's defence saying that he would be fine, as he has beaten enemies who were coming at him in hordes, so us two against him said he was fine, more like a light practice session. "Okay the stage is set, how does it look?" Kit called out as I turned to look and it looked like a large ring shaped building like what the Romans would use to fight in 80CE, yet it made me chuckle at all that she could have chosen for a stage to fight, she picked this, definitely impressive, "a coliseum seriously, you definitely wanted to give me a challenge, while providing yourself with a way to be entertained, let me guess your gonna sit on the throne where the Roman emperor sat" Kitsan asked his daughter, she didn't respond but only smiled, causing the rest of us to facepalm in how giddy she looked. "Well the stage is set, good luck to you both, just remember the rules we set, only use illusion magic, but you have free rein to use your natural speed and strength. We better not disappoint my daughter, as I know she's been waiting for me to let loose for awhile, so I won't go easy on you two either, even if it's not to the death" Kitsan mentioned, as he shimmered away like he wasn't even there, only appearing inside the coliseum in his position waiting for us to join him inside.

With our astonishing speed we zoomed to our side of the arena, with a smile I looked at my brother, who smiled back, guiding our illusion magic to cover us in a veil of sorts, that to everyone else was seeing us coated in gladiatorial armour, holding a sword and shield each. "How you like our look, we thought that if we gonna fight in this particular arena, then we may as well look the part" I shouted, as Kitsan followed suit with a more samurai type look, holding a katana, "well my look may not be like this arena but it brings back memories of home, so let's begin" Kitsan stated, as he charged towards us both, as began to charge too holding out shields in front, swords held slightly behind the shield.

The speed, the rush of adrenaline that was coursing through our bodies, I didn't think it was possible but yet the feeling was there, maybe it was our new forms that allowed us more human like qualities to breathe, to sleep, to feel the rush of adrenaline, even if we could live without them. Part of my thoughts drifted to thinking that if we maybe part witch, and part vampire, but with our more witch based abilities, they bring us more human like qualities too, where once upon a time it was a weakness, but now it was not, it allowed us to become stronger and more powerful. Alec's thoughts was on a similar wavelength, agreeing with most of everything, still holding anger towards himself for when he lost me, but when he listens to my thoughts more he knows that I'm still here and not gonna leave without a fight. With our minds and thoughts more in tune with one another, it makes our illusion magic stronger, that with every construct we produce, are becoming quicker and easier to form, from what went by a second, to even less than that, where it started to match our speed and thought speed, where to most it was instant to appear. Our battle ferocity remain just as strong as it has ever been, using our illusion sword and shield in combo attacks, yet being matched every five times out of ten strikes by Kitsan's blows, which felt amazing, someone close to equal, yet his face expression was that of pure happiness and joy. Kit's face in the background in the audience seating constantly moving around the arena's seating to always get a good look, while smiling constantly, that I could have sworn, would hurt my face, with how wide she was smiling watching her dad fight us on a somewhat equal pegging.

Six hours later

As we went at it for so long, neither of us wanted to stop as we was enjoying ourselves, yet Kitsan was looking worn for wear, to where he looked exhausted, so we took the time to build a wall around him, to prevent his movements, "let's stop now, you look exhausted and we could do with a break ourselves" Alec said which I knew was a lie, but I let him go through with the lie as Kitsan did look like he was barely standing up, with the damage he took, that it must have been straining his body to keep himself from a complete collapse to the ground. "That was outstanding, you both shouldn't have a problem defeating your enemies, using smaller constructs of urge illusion magic. Your speed and creativity of how you use it and how quickly you produce them, that is something no one has ever done, which makes you both formidable. I'm surprised that I managed to keep up, though you both were superior than myself, even more so the longer we went" Kitsan said before he collapsed into a unconscious state, that if it wasn't for my quick response of producing a soft cushion with illusion magic, he would have hit the ground, possibly hurting himself worse. Kit vanished from the audience seating and appeared instantly by Alec's side as he checked Kitsan over to make sure he was fine, but with a few scans he looked up with a smile, "he be fine just needs some rest" Alec said, while holding to Kit's hand to provide some comfort, as I gave her a hug, "trust me, he be fine, I know you may not trust Alec as much as you do me, but he wouldn't lie, definitely something like this, as that fight was really something, you must be really proud of your dad" I said as Kit kept her eyes towards her dad, watching him.

After a hour or so I told both Kit and Alec that I want to practise creating and breaking constructs of illusion to improve myself more, which they both said they join me, Kit wanted to practise just because she was still not that good at it herself, plus doing it alongside us I had a feeling would make it easier on us all. As I am envisioned several statues that I remember seeing around the Volturi castle, I got them lined up in a row, before I stopped to check how strong I made them as I intended to make them just as strong as me and Alec made the castle, as that felt the only way to provide a good practice. As I looked to see how Alec and Kit were practising, it looked like they were doing a similar way to myself, only that Kit's was that of Japanese warriors in statue form. As I brought my mind to focus on what Kitsan taught us how to break illusions down, I noticed that I was forming a double edged blade in my hand, with a blade that twice the length of a katana, while the thickness was half a wide, I wasn't sure if this was what Kitsan would have meant to break a illusion, as his way was more like a wave of a hand and it went, but being that we are different beings maybe this is how I can break illusions, doing it my way. In deep thought I could sense that both Alec and Kit were staring at me, "how do you do that sis?" Alec asked, while Kit was staring at the sword I had in my hand, as if it wasn't Moon or even Plasma, yet it looked real, not that of an illusion, yet I could feel the energy of illusion pouring from it. "Isn't deconstructing illusions supposed to be like what my dad does? If it's not then maybe it's like an individual's perspective on how they break a illusion" Kit asked, though it felt more like statement than a question, I noticed that Alec was concentrating and I saw in his hand a sword too, yet vastly different to that I was still holding, his looked to be that of a great sword, yet slightly out of proportion as it was forming and constantly changing, but before it fully formed it then dissipated in a sprinkle of tiny illusion green crystals. "Damn it didn't work, I thought I had it but i couldn't hold onto it for too long" Alec ranted as he slammed his hands against the sides of his head in annoyance, Kit looked up to me and then to Alec, as it seemed she wanted to try what I succeeded and Alec failed doing, which got me a look as he must have saw me think that, causing me to shrug my shoulders. As both Alec and I watched Kit looking to concentrate I saw that her statues was rocking side to side, like something was inside it trying to escape, with a rattling sound on the ground, before just as soon as it started it stopped, which Kit just pouted, which I assumed she was annoyed too, causing me to smile.

Neither Alec or Kit gave up and tried numerous of times to break their statues, while I found out that what I did still wasn't strong enough to break the statues with a single strike, as it took a total of six times to break a single statue which annoyed me, but I could tell that Kit and Alec was more annoyed than I was. Hearing movement coming from behind me, I dissipated my sword to grab that of Moon, which she glowed as brightly as moonlight itself, just as had moon, Alec held Plasma who glowed a dark shade of red fire covering the blade itself while leaving the handle as it is, even Kit join us with her fists being surrounded by orbs of electricity, crackling as they charged getting bigger enough to cover her hands entirely. As we all turned to the direction of where the movement came from, I immediately put Moon back on my back as I saw that it was just Kitsan shuffling to sit up, who seemed to smile as he stared at us all. As Alec put Plasma away, as well as Kit making her electricity disappear too, we all walked towards Kitsan, "your awake father, how long have you been awake, why didn't you say something that made us all feel on edge thinking we were being stalked?" Kit asked, before I or Alec had a chance to speak. "Glad that you're awake, how are you feeling now? You recovered enough to stand or still need some time to rest, as we can continue what we was doing if you like to watch and tell us what are missing" I said, as I felt concerned that he may not have fully recovered and was still quite drained from that battle, "my sis is right, we do need some assistance on what we are missing, my sister managed to…" Alec started saying but was cut off by Kitsan putting his hand up to stop him, which I know that Alec was annoyed without it showing on his face, yet I was curious why he stopped Alec for, "I was sensing the whole thing. Jane the reason your sword wasn't strong enough is because that your not containing the illusion magic to stay within the sword and it's just oozing out, so with each strike you do, your strikes are weaker, which is why it took six strikes instead of just a single strike that i assume you was aiming for. Alec, your reason for why you can't produce a sword of a way to break illusions down, is that you're losing concentration and not able to keep your thoughts focused, which is why your sword that you were determined to get, was odd shaped, lacked any strength to hold its form. Now for my dear Kit, your too determined to be like me or them, which I don't want you to feel saddened, as I have known all your life, that you follow, instead of trying to do things your way, of course there has been a few times that you have done your own thing, and this is one of those times you got to do your own thing and let it flow through you to show you what is a way that feels right for you not me or them, but you" Kitsan explained before his eyes started to slowly close, as he exhausted himself too much, that he started to lie down once more, "i'm gonna rest some more, all of you take what I said, listen to it, and you will achieve what your aiming towards" Kitsan said as his voice started to fade, before a quiet sounds a snoozing Kitsune began to whisper in the air, leaving us all looking at each other.

After several minutes of silence, "your dad is very wise, I know your species are highly intelligent and even more so with age, but I feel and I think my brother agrees with me, that your dad is incredible" I said as I looked on at the two remaining illusion statues that stood there untouched, but I now felt more determined than I was before, I looked to Alec and Kit and they looked to be filled with a fire in their stomachs, of determination and courage to succeed where we all failed before being given those wise words of advice. As I repeated what I did before but this time, I concentrated my thousands of thoughts, to be in harmony, where I felt at peace, ignoring the excess thoughts that flowed from the link with my twin, not confining them but allowing them to flow like my own thoughts. Getting my mind's eyes and my physical eyes open I concentrated once more to form the same sword but not letting the illusion magic pour out but flow within it, like a source of power charging the blade as I got ready to strike each illusion statue. As I strike the first statue, instead of before where it deflected or only marked it, this time the illusion statue disappears, I repeat the same with the last one, for it to disappear too, with no resistance. I felt like jumping for joy but I decided to hold it in to check on my twin and Kit's progress first. As I watched them both it looked like they both seemed more at peace, Alec's thoughts was just like mine, peaceful and calm, yet I could tell that a stray thought was all it took to knock him off course, which I knew would be my safety, I just had to hope that he can try to keep it confined. As I watched Kit, I wished I had the same link with her that I do with my twin as it would let me tell if she was on the similar path to succeed or if she was still struggling, but seeing her face she looked okay, didn't stop me feeling concerned.

To distract myself I decided to repeat my practice by using the illusion magic to create a room with moving statues, so I could practise breaking them down, one by one with a more skilled approach, instead of just hitting them one by one where they stood, but now it was more of a challenge with them moving. I wanted it in a room because then it would help me not look at what Alec or Kit is doing so they don't feel me watching them, but also so I could try to fine tune my skills as a fighter and also to test my might at breaking down illusions. As I break each illusion statue with ease, I push myself to increase the strength of them and the speed they move as I know that it's my mind that controls how strong they are to break and how fast they move.

With each hour that passed, I finally got as far as I could with just myself practising, that I used my illusion breaking sword to destroy the room itself. As the room crumbled to tiny green crystal shards I saw two rooms that looked similar to what I created, trying to sense what was happening inside, but picking up nothing. It was like the room was blocking anything from the outside to know what's going on from within. I produced my illusion breaking sword again loads better and quicker than before, making me smile, jump up to give myself a good chance so I could just slice it down the middle before I do the same with the next room but I hear a cough just behind me, so I turn round to see Kitsan and a older female Kitsune, who I assume was Kit's mother, "Kitsoon, I assume?" I asked, as Kitsoon just nodded. "Your looking loads better, sir" I say, "Thanks Jane, as you know this is my bond mate, Kitsoon. The reason we stopped you from breaking those rooms is because just as you was, they are doing the same and i'm pleased that our daughter" Kitsan stopped to bring Kitsoon closer to him, "has finally forged her own way of breaking illusions, so now I don't have to clean up after her as much now. As for your twin, it looks like he finally listened to my advice and has caught up with you, so after they both finished in those rooms, I give you both access to where your off to next" Kitsan said.

As the three of us started to discuss almost everything, we even learnt about how the two of them met which was actually quite fascinating, definitely as I could see that Kit was quite a bit more like Kitsoon than Kitsan in personality as a child, and even in most of her appearance. After a couple of hours of talking we all saw Alec and Kit's illusion rooms crumble, with both of them smiling as they walked towards us, Alec gave me a hug and Kit did the same to her parents, "so how did it go you two?" I asked, "Jane I think their smiling and that they hugged us as they returned is answer enough, unless I'm wrong, but a mother's instincts isn't usually wrong" Kitsoon said, "Kit's mom is right my dear sister, I finally achieved what I wanted and Kit did the same, when we did, we saw that you was in a room, so we decided to do the same, though Kit was a bit reluctant due to her dad, no offence, was still sleeping" Alec said as he looked towards Kit's parents, while releasing me from his hug. "Alec is right, I was reluctant because I didn't want you to leave him, as I was still worried about him, but Alec convinced me that he would be fine and that when I came out of the room, he would be more proud of me than disappointed if I didn't give it a go" Kit said as she separated from hugging her parents, "so what now?" Alec asked, "we continue our journey to locate the other artefacts and defeat or train with the guardians, as I've been discussing with Kitsan and Kitsoon, not all guardians want a death blow or be destroyed, just like Victor Wretched and Anubis. Kitsan said there is others who can train us to pick up other neet tricks like illusion magic that we have been taught, so if your ready to leave we can go now " I explained, though I did promise to return and I fully intend to keep it.

"Your twin sister is right, she, my bond mate and I, have spoken quite a bit while our daughter and you have been training yourselves, of course there were promises made that though doubtful be kept, your twin sister ensures that when you both promise something you mean it. So until you both return again, I will be keeping an eye on you both" Kitsoon explained, which Alec nodded and Kit looked tearful, oddly enough Alec beat me to it and gave Kit a hug while speaking something in her ear that made her smile, before she came towards me to hug me too. Kitsan looked to me and Alec, "hope you both are ready, you have a long road ahead of you both" Kitsan said as he spoke some words in unrecognisable language, that I've sort to learn is nothing but a way to open another pathway like that which Anubis did. After the words was spoken, a purple and blue swirl opened in front of myself and Alec, that felt like it was pulling us towards it, every moment it was there, "this is your queue to jump in, I advised you to be mindful of where you appear, as I unable to tell you anything else of where you go from here, but just to wish you the best of luck" Kitsan said as he hugged both Kitsoon and Kit as they watched us take a jump into the purple and blue swirl, seeing only the two colours and nothing else the more we dived in.

Back to the present time

Anubis's area of the dimension

After fifteen long years of traversing this incredible dimension, with so many areas, going in every know direction possible, even directions that wasn't known, yet with every step of our long journey, one thing remained in our minds was to return to our home dimension, protect and defend Isabella so she can take her rightful place to take down Kur, his army and end this ancient long war permanently. With everything we have done, survived death multiple times, came back from the dead, learnt how to use our gifts, abilities to the limit, yet we have learnt that those limits can be broken too. Using our artefacts has definitely not been easy but definitely interesting, some even contained writing that once spoken activates something within it, making us even more powerful than we have ever imagined possible.

With the possibility of now finally feeling ready to return home, I just hope we are just in time to stop Kur and his army, because if Isabella dies, there's nothing anyone can do to stop him from bringing eternal damnation of the eternal shadows of the unkillable darkness. The only problem is with us being here for fifteen years, we have no way of knowing how much time has passed back home, yet can hold some hope that not much has changed enough for our entrance we intend to make when we arrive, should still suffice, while providing us some much intended excitement. "Alec everything ready?, because I don't think either of us wants to forget anything and have to make a return trip so soon" I ask him with our mind link, as it does feel good when we use it to communicate with how effective it is, "counted and checked, ready for home" Alec responded back, though I could have sworn I sense some sarcasm in his tone, probably still not happy with what happened with Afton, not that I could blame him but i'm sure we get a second time, to get our payback on dear Afton for disappearing on us.

As we drew a circle around us, before turning it to a pentagram, adding additional symbols around it, using a mixture we made up a while back when we were still an ordinary vampire, who was a Volturi guard member. The only difference now is that we added our now mightier blood to it, which made the symbols and pentagram glow vibrate red, to moonlight white, before it solidified to show both colours. As the spell work was ready the only thing left to do was speak the words to activate it, while we stood inside the circle, holding hands.

"Oath,blood and power,

We call upon those of spirit,

Both by magick, ancient and wise"

"We call upon the ancestors,

Thou guides us,

Fills us with power,

Which makes us serve the light"

As we spoke the words three times, with each time we said it powerful waves vibrated, shaking the very ground beneath us, three times as powerful as the last, yet neither of us moved from where we stood. "You speak the words, tell us what you request and let it be so" was said inside our heads together, as it wasn't by any voice that we have heard before, or by each other, so we knew just then, that it was that of the ancestors of our incredible lineage. "We wish to return to our home, the one we was from, the one we have lived far longer than any mortal being should have" both myself and Alec spoke as one, "your request is accepted, do us proud and we shall see you when your time is right to be one of us" the ancestors spoke, while I felt a warm glow touch me, which I assumed was our mother, as one of the ancestors telling us that she loves us, yet I knew and I know that Alec knew it too, that we could never be sure if that warm glow was truly her yet it brought us happiness despite it.

After the feel of the warm glow moved away from touching our backs, I felt myself and saw that Alec too began to notice too that we weren't touching the ground, not by doing or propelling ourselves. We would have known if we were doing it as we mainly use a form of jet stream with the water element, or using the air element to allow us to flow like a breeze, or if we wanted a faster way with the air, we move as quickly as a hurricane or tornado. Yet this obviously far different approach, it felt like the ancestors' warmth surrounding us like they were protecting us, yet the spell we casted was spiralling around us in the same manner.

As we was moving upwards at speeds that was unnatural, to even us, yet the spiral colours of our spell which was the red of our blood and the whiteness of the moonlight, with the warm colouring that was like a yellowy orange, was constantly surrounding us like a bubble or tunnel taking us to our destination. With only each other to talk as it wasn't like an instant teleportation for the spell to take us where we want, which was unfortunate but it was loads quicker being that it was going from one dimension to another.

It felt odd that only seconds must have passed, yet I could feel something on the back of my head, like it was indicating we was nearly where are going, it didn't help as I could hear a singular voice, female, speaking yet it wasn't clear enough to understand what was being said, I looked to Alec, "you hearing that too? It's like something or someone is trying to communicate with us yet can't break through enough for us to hear it, almost like static" I asked, "that's one way to define it, it feels like a warning or something but like you called it static, it's making it difficult to pinpoint what it is or who it is" Alec responded back, "it's definitely not the ancestors talking, as I think we would know it if it was, yet whoever this is, must be ally, as I doubt the enemy would try to communicate with us, and instead try to stop us arriving or attack us where we are" I said quite quickly that it felt like we was talking in our minds, yet it wasn't at the same time, must be where we are with the spell and ancestors allowing us to do this.

"Damn it I've been practising this and get can't get it to break through to wherever you both been these past fourteen and a half years"

That time the voice was definitely female, lot clearer than before, just that it sounded like a child, of course I immediately thought of Isabella. The thing was we haven't heard her speak, due to how old she was when we left, it felt like it couldn't be for definite if it was her or not. Even Alec was uncertain himself when he thought about it as I could still hear them and I could tell he was trying to picture an older version of our Isabella.

"Okay, this has to work this time, just got to remember what my descendants have been teaching me in the dreamscape"

"Jane, Alec, I hope you are hearing me, sorry for earlier, still trying to get a hang of all these powers and gifts that I have, Jazz, my uncles and so called father, has been trying to teach me and help me with them, but let's just say that it's not as easy without you two around. Anyway I've been getting these weird visions of sorts showing me that you be coming soon, alongside others that you both need to hear, so hurry quick"

After that it became silent again, but with time speeding up again, ready for us to make our arrival, I was definitely not worried about what was said but instead even more excited for what was to come. "I can't wait to see everyone's reactions for when they see the new us, even though I kinda want to pretend to be the enemy arriving in front of them, just to see what they would do" Alec said with a small chuckle, one that even I couldn't help but chuckle too as it would be a interesting way to make our grand entrance that more entertaining and funny, "that would make for one entrance that, they never will forget" I replied with a smile.

"Have you ever wondered what our Isabella might be capable of now, just think if our hope is right, that Isabella was the one talking to us, it means she must have gained more power, as she did use a shield to rebound Felix. Remember a shield isn't just a rare gift for a vampire to possess, but she also had both a physical and mental shield, which is even rarer for anyone to possess them both together simultaneously. Additionally to that I've never heard Aro say he could hear her thoughts, as i'm sure during the time we was about, he would have said something if so" Alec explained, making all valid points, "you right, as there's no way that Aro could hold back if he could hear her thoughts, even though I am surprised that he hasn't mentioned that he couldn't hear her thoughts too, as that would be one thing that I'm certain he would have mentioned too" I said, which got us both thinking heavily, before we noticed that was now coming down to a decent motion down.

With us descending downwards at an even faster pace than we were a moment ago, which is funny just thinking about as we were going at such an unnatural and abnormally fast by any standards, but it did bring a smile that blended nicely with a coming smirk on our faces. More due to the fact that we now were adjusting our body from falling head first to getting ready to land on our feet to suit our idea for entry, as we really didn't want to land on our heads. With the spiralling colours of our decent closing in nearer and nearer, our heightened senses went into overdrive, as with so much going on in our homeworld, it's surprising that we didn't shift off course, but it took less that a tenth of a second, for myself to adjust and even sense that even Alec adjusted too, which made me feel better.

With us now landed on solid ground, getting a good sense of what's happening around us, both underground, above us and every other direction known possible, it definitely felt like home, yet we could still see the spell slowly fading, while hearing shouts of the three kings demanding us to reveal ourselves immediately as they have us surrounded. I wasn't sure if I should laugh at the absurdity of how they have any chance against us, despite how much time has passed. As I looked to Alec, who smiled as we brought our hands upwards to blow the spiralling colours outwards, while we sent winds of freezing temperatures that will freeze them all instantly in a block of ice.

"Jane, Alec, that's one hell of an entrance" Jasper spoke proudly from behind with a smile, while holding onto a female, who was a similar size to him, but shared a very remarkable appearance of what we remember of Isabella, "Isabella?" We both said at the same time, with only getting a smile in response.
