Chapter 2 It's Like I"ve Been Awakened

So let me get this straight you an angel of the lord want to make a deal in exchange for my brothers life?" She asked looking at Castiel uncertainly.

He was here to do more than that but he didn't know if now was a good time to bring it up or not so he chose not too. "Yes." He answered evenly watching as she paced in front of her now unconscious little brother.

"What exactly is the deal?" She asked him. eyeing him warily.

"You will watch over two brothers they're hunters."He watched as she rolled her eyes at the term he remembered she'd killed and befriended one which gave him pause, so he thought maybe elaborating would help. "The Winchesters." He added.

That certainly got her attention. "You want me to protect those two brothers that not even my own kind will touch?" She knew of them alright and boy did there reputation precede them. Not a vampire of her kind she knew would dare stay anywhere long in a town those two brothers came upon, to scared to chance it.

Castiel stepped toward her. "They won't hurt you, I won't let them and once the deals complete they won't be able to."

Somehow she knew he meant this as a reassurance but it felt more ominous then anything else.

"This isn't a normal deal is it?" She said crossing her arms and glancing at her little brother. "Didn't think angels of all things were the type to make ones."

"These are.. Hard times especially for us." Was the only answer the angel provided. "Heaven is at war the Winchesters are back together and even though they told me they no longer wanted any part of what's happening in heaven they've been calling for me more then ever before. " He supplied for her. "That's now where you come in."

"Heavens at war?" She interjected looking confused. "Isn't god in charge up there?"

"He's... Left the building." Castiel said awkwardly. Remembering a time Gabriel had uttered such a phrase.

Damon's hopeful expression dwindled into nothing her eyes taking a cold edge. "Figures." She said.

"I've been watching over you." Castiel almost said wanting to reassure her in some way, only to decide to keep it as just a thought to himself for the time being.

"So you'll heal my brother and in turn I have to babysit two brothers who started the apocalypse.' She said humming. 'Yeah sounds like it will go great so far." Sarcasm thick in her voice, She was reeling that it was the actual apocalypse they had started until now she had heard they'd open the door to something monumentally supernaturally destructive and all the disasters and strange happenings in the news didn't help clarify much but she didn't know it was the apocalypse, apocalypse. Boy did all their other problems they'd been having in this past year seem insignificant in comparison. Klaus suddenly became the Easter Bunny.

"There's a lot you don't understand about it." Castiel stated feeling a need to defend the brothers. "Heaven wasn't exactly on their side that's why we are at war now currently."

"Heaven wanted to end the world?" She asked looking even more thrown for a loop.

"Well the Archangels that were in charge did." He said. "The only one left now is doing everything in his power to make it happen again."

"I can't allow that." He said thinking of all the angels on his side Raphael had killed already. They were currently at a stale mate but he knew it wouldn't last long. "I can't allow it to happen."

"Yeah please don't." Damon said with some fear in her voice. "I'm not exactly ready to kick the bucket yet."

Castiel tilted his head in confusion. "Why would you ever need to do that?"

She looked at him thinking he was joking only to see the completely serious look on his face deciding to brush her comment off quickly she waved her hand dismissively."Never mind."

"So this deal I can sense there's a bit more to it then just a hand shake." She said looking at him expectantly.

"Yes, You will be connected to me by my grace it's a sort of celestial handshake if you will, for a celestial deal I'll be able to find you anywhere through our connection. "He began to explain. "You'll be be able to hear me in your mind which should help whenever the Winchesters call i can send you in their direction." He paused wondering if she tell her they'd be able to reach out to each other through this deal as well. "The deal between us will last until i can ensure Raphael has lost and the danger he poses to the world has past." He then stepped forward a bit a serious glint in his eyes. "It's a binding contract with your soul and there will be a few conditions."

Damon looked at him wearily still glancing toward her brother Castiel said he'd put him unconscious but she knew hybrid venom tended to work quickly.

"And those would be?" She asked him meeting his gaze head on.

"No killing unless the situation requires it. " Castiel stated as if he'd been thinking these conditions through for a long time which unbeknownst to her he had. "No more feeding on innocents." She opened her mouth but Castiel continued as if understanding what she was about to say. "You can survive on blood bags."

She sighed it's not like she'd been killing for the thrill of it lately for the past year anyway. The feeding on innocents part was where she felt hesitation. She had self control because she let herself hunt she had an outlet for her instincts without that they might go a little haywire... She looked over at her brother who despite the situation looked so peaceful. Even though the angel gave her a sense of peace and comfort she didn't want to push her luck right now by poking at his conditions she'd already done something like that to a powerful being this year and she liked to think she'd learned something from it.

"Okay." She breathed before a thought came to her. "Could you change and erase memories as well?"

"Yes." Castiel answered squinting at her in question. "Why?"

"I want you to change my brothers Memories instead of him being bitten I want him to think it was me." She stopped for a moment before continuing. "And I want him to think I died. "

"But I also want you to give him a false memory of me telling him before I died that I was sorry for everything too, That I accept his apology like i should have when he gave it to me the first time." She continued on as she now kneeled by her brother running fingers through his hair. "And that I told him the one thing i want from him is too move on with his immortal life whatever that may be." She said sincerity in her tone. "Even if it's continuing his relationship with Elena.' She rolled her eyes when she said the girls name at least she could say she now had babysitting experience with humans when it came to her. "Or someone else just that he finds happiness and peace." She paused one last time in deep thought before finishing. "And that this time when I tell him to let me go he needs to let me go for real."

"That's my condition." She stated looking into the angels eyes that seemed to soften a bit at the nature of her request.

"I can do that." He stated going over to her brother and placing a hand on his forehead concentrating. It didn't seem to be much time at all before he pulled away. "It's done just as you requested."

"Thank you." She nodded at him.

"He doesn't have much more time left I have to heal him in the next ten minutes or he's gone for good." He informed her. "I want to you complete the deal before I heal him.

She nodded stepping closer to him. He held out his hand to her she widened her eyes when she noticed his were glowing blue. His hand that reached out her had a blue light emitting from the middle as well. "This might feel a bit uncomfortable at first but it's relativity quick."

Not wanting to prolong this she grabbed let him grab her hand gasping as she felt like her entire essence was being pulled up from underneath her. She couldn't believe her eyes as a blue light came out of her body and wrapped around her before it colliding with the steady blue force that had circled around them she assumed was his. The blue connected and she saw a scroll come forward written in a language she didn't understand before it folded up again turning into a straight line like a rope and wrapped itself around both her and Castiel's waists before disappearing leaving her to feel nauseous as it did so.

She felt something within herself twisting like a rope before being released back down again. Yeah that was uncomfortable all right.

She felt Castiel release her hand as he put his arm around her steadying her she hadn't realized she'd been that unsteady until just then.

"I'm okay." She got out slowly steadying herself on her feet taking a deep breath she righted herself causing Castiel to shift away from her reluctantly his eyes searching over her form as if looking to make sure she was truly okay to stand on her own before moving out of her way completely. Damon moved towards her brother. Kneeling down she placed one long kiss to his forehead a tear slipping out. She hugged him to herself knowing this would be the last time she saw him face to face. After what seemed like forever but was only a couple minutes she pulled away turning toward the trench coated angel.

"Your turn." She said gesturing to her little brother.

He moved over placing his palm against her brothers forehead white light shone throughout his palm before it dissipated.

"He's healed he'll still be asleep for quite awhile though the dark magic I had to take out of the hybrid's poison was quite powerful, even for me." He told in a way that made her believe he didn't think it would take that much out of him.

Castiel looked at her he knew their connection would be even stronger now that he'd made the deal with her they had just preformed. He looked at her now able to see her soul even more clearly and smiled. It was a lot brighter then it had been in while, yes her time here in with her brother in this town had improved it.

He felt that in time he could get it where it needed to be he could get the old her back completely. Flashes of her growing up as a child went through his mind of a girl with black hair and bright blue eyes smiling and happy despite everything going on in her life, her love for her brother, Her mischievous smile when she did something she wasn't supposed to her teaching Stefan to climb a tree came to mind all these things sat in his mind. Before it quickly flashed to everything else that had transpired his own failure's bleeding through. He couldn't fail this time, He wouldn't. She deserved that much from him.

"So what now." Damon asked him curiously looking at him a bit strangely with the intensity of his gaze.

"I'll give you the directions of where the brothers are at the moment. Be careful Sam Winchesters has been recruited by a very... Brutal hunting organisation." He told her. "Just be careful." He added although he wasn't too worried he'd be able to feel if anything was going wrong enough to warrant his attention and help.

"I've had my share of those..." She trailed off uncomfortably. And he felt her emotions through their connection and deal. They hit him like a freight train. Reminding him of what she was alluding to: Augustine. Anger swelled in his gut as he remembered those five years every cut, every lost Organ and every night he was there for her urging her not to give up.

"I think you more then took care of those. " His voice said gaze downcast before coming to rest on her again.

She looked into his eyes but saw no judgement in them just... Pain.

"Yeah I did." She muttered. shifting a bit uncomfortably. This angel has managed to make her more uncomfortable then intruding on the Mikaelsons and their family drama and she had, had to sit through a dinner with two of the older brothers and then promptly crashed and ruined their ball. Unlike them or any other supernatural being she met it was like he could see right through her but also like he knew her, understood her in a way most would never be able too.

Castiel suddenly jolted up as if he was hearing something she wasn't he turned to her."it seems the Winchesters have requested my assistance."

"Where to?" She asked pausing as he placed a hand on her shoulder and the world fell away.

She found herself alone in front of creepy building although that's not what scared her the most. Castiels voice suddenly played in her head instructions about where in the building they were and what they were facing filling her head.

Taking one more glance toward the building she stopped in at the entrance. "Castiel uh, I can't exactly get past the front entrance without an invitation."

"Yes you can." He informed her. "The deal we made changes things where the dark magic keeping you alive with all it's rules are concerned."

"All I have to do." He paused and she both felt and saw a blue glowing rope pull around her waist before encasing her whole body and disappearing. "Try it now." He told her expectantly

Hesitating at the entrance she bust in the door as quietly as she could before swinging one foot in front of the entrance testing only for a smirk to make it's way on her lips when she was able to get it past.

Time to meet the hunters her angel was so fond of...

Chuck

He looked down at the script he was working on smiling to himself before frowning a little. Yes the psychics he made in the beginning were to heal at a cosmic level at create peace where free will had strayed. Although after everything that happened with Lucifer and Amara and the corruption of man he'd lost hope any would last as long as this one had. He had plans for her plans to heal something for his kids that he couldn't. He had felt it when Castiel had created the deal and he knew it wouldn't be long now if fingers crossed all went according to plan she'd finally be able to reach into those powers in ways she couldn't before.

He sent a blessing her way just enough of his power to awaken what was already stirring in her.

He looked down at his next chapter before shaking his head and throwing it in the trash no, while he knew that, that son wouldn't hurt her especially with the particular errand he had planned on sending he. I mean he wasn't heartless he'd heard his sons prayers. She needed to be long prepared for that one she hadn't even had any experience fighting demons yet. He could admit some hesitation in him too he still wanted to wait a bit before introducing her to any of them. That little rescue would just have to wait just a little longer.

Chuck needed to make sure she was ready and equipped before sending her to do what he should have done long ago. Maybe once she got a grasp a complete grasp on those powers he'd send her over to Klaus one more time as test run? They did have one heck of a weird relationship.

Heaven knows she'd need it. Even in the cage Lucifer still managed to corrupt Sybil and Selene although that didn't come before he turned Arcadius into what he is today. The only one that didn't escape his grasp and managed to somewhat fly under the radar was Damonica's ancestor Silas. Although due to some tweaks in his genetics he ended up being one hell of a sociopath and took a wrecking ball to the natural order even without any intervention.

Chuck hadn't planned for Castiel to ever meet her he'd left that to chance and found he was glad he did because he wasn't too sure he'd be able to do what he was planning had it not been for him.

Sending a bit more of his power her way he hoped this would help her when the time came give her enough to push back when she had too, just in case.

He abruptly chuckled a bit when he came to the realization of something. Her name: He knew Her mother always wanted a girl until she was forced into that monstrosity of an arranged marriage and those wants very quickly and drastically changed it still didn't stop Lily from being a bit crafty. She knew Guiseppe wanted a son as the head of household and he'd name him Damon. Lily always wanted the loved the name Monica and wanted to name her daughter that if she were to ever have one so when she gave birth to a girl she decided to combine both names into one as a way to please Guiseppe. That's how Chuck found himself amused thinking about the meaning of both names. Damon means To tame and Monica means advisor so putting that together "To Tame advisor or advisor to tame the irony of it all not lost on him.

He crossed his fingers and hoped for the sake of his family this would all pull together and work.

A/N Next up meeting the Winchesters toward the end of 6x01 and head on into the next couple of episodes. Look I know Lucifer is a divisive Character on Supernatural at best however I do plan on keeping the characterization of both him and Chuck firmly on season 5-11 and honestly I'm pretty angry as the original writers of supernatural for season 11 wanted to keep their characterization how the series creator and writer Eric Kripke originally intended for them. And then the next couple of seasons were written by Dabb again and they annihilated both characters spectacularly.

Also Klaus and Lucifer parallel each other... A lot. They have most of the same drives and motivations let alone how they got there in the first place. At the end of the day both of them seemed to realize the same thing. Due to their actions and their own goals they are going to end up alone and well empty.

Gabriel will be a huge focus in this story as well it was so so stupid for them to bring him back and then kill him again just so stupid. Anyway thank you for reading. Please review Favorite, Follow if you feel to do so.
