I Don't Own Anything I'm Just A Crazy Fan.
Chapter 79: The Halidom of Ylisse.
The next morning
Seth woke up with Charlotte's sleeping soundly in his embrace. He didn't want to wake her since it was the first night in a while the two were able to get a full night's rest. If she needed to sleep more he would let her. He slowly got out of bed and headed to the bathroom to take a quick shower. After his shower he put on a robe and headed to the kitchen to make some breakfast. While in the middle of his breakfast he heard a voice in his head.
"Seth, we've detected another relic." Blaze said within his mind.
"Master, I've informed Lelouch and he is preparing for your absence." Flame said as well. The angel and demon had worked while he slept to prepare the fledgling Empire as they were in the mist of several international matters. Seth was glad that there were so many around him to help him now.
"Thanks Blaze and Flame. Send a message to Kanzashi and Tatenashi. If they're willing to join us we will begin at once." Seth replied back.
"You got it, Seth." Blaze said as she disappeared from Seth's mind.
"I'll handle the rest. Don't worry, master." Flame said.
"Thank you both for your help, I couldn't do it without you." With his schedule now set, he was about to make his way out the family quarters of the palace but he sensed two people behind him. He turned to see Peashy and Akikaze looking at him.
"Hey papa, where are you going?" Peashy asked.
"Yeah, aren't you going to eat breakfast with us?" Akikaze asked. Seth looked at his children and let out a sigh.
"Sure I'll make you breakfast, any request?" He said while smiling at the two kids.
"I want pancakes!" Peashy yelled.
"I want eggs and bacon." Akikaze said.
"Okay then. I'll make you pancakes and bacon." Seth said.
"Yay! Papa is making pancakes!" Peashy said as she jumped up and down in joy.
"Shhhh, the others are still sleeping and you don't want to wake up the baby." Seth said as he hushed Peashy's excitement. Seth was happy to see his daughter in such good spirits. He made the pancake batter and soon the kitchen was filled with the smell of pancakes, eggs, and bacon. The smell had lured the other adults out of their rooms. Nepgear and Neptune were the first to enter the kitchen followed by Charlotte.
"Morning." Neptune yawned out as she approached the cooking man and gave him a kiss on the cheek.
"Good morning Neptune." Seth replied as he flipped a pancake onto a plate.
"Can I get some too?" She asked.
"Sure. P-ko, Aki, here's yours." Seth said as he handed them their plates.
"Can we watch TV while we eat?" Akikaze asked and this got an excited look from Peashy.
"Sure, but don't make it a habit." The two kids cheered and they sat down at the large holoprojector while they ate their breakfast. Seeing as the children were now settled he turned to the woman at the table.
"Ladies, a new relic was detected. We will be leaving shortly." These words got worried looks from the women.
"I'm sorry but I must go. Can't afford to let these relics into the wrong hands." Seth apologized to Neptune.
"I know you have to go, but come back soon." She replied.
"I will and I'll bring back something for you."
"Well hopefully it won't be another woman." Neptune teased.
"It shouldn't, Kanzashi and Tatenashi should be joining me." Seth said, which got a look of surprise from Charlotte.
"Tatenashi and Kanzashi? Why are they coming?" Charlotte asked.
"Their mother wants to build stronger ties with the Empire and offered them as a wife for me, but I won't marry or sleep with a woman I don't love." Seth blushed slightly as he had just told Charlotte he loved her. Charlotte was a little taken aback by what he said. She was trying to process what he had just told her inadvertently. She smiled and leaned closer to him.
"I hope you mean that." She said with a whisper in his ear. Seth's face was even redder at her statement. Neptune had an evil grin as she was watching Seth.
"You sly dog." The goddess teased as she took a bite of the pancakes Seth put in front of her. She let out several noises of approval at the food. She quickly devoured the food. "I love your cooking so much."
"Well I'm glad you enjoy it." Seth said with a smile. The sound of a crying baby soon got the attention of the group. Neptune got up and rushed to the room with the crib in it.
"Hey little guy, you want to eat too?" She said to her baby as she picked him up so she could nurse him.
"Well, it seems like I have to go now. Char I'll escort you to your family, the French delegation should have a few more events today before heading back. I won't get to see you till the new class semester starts up." Seth said.
"Aki, get dressed, I need to take you to the Jedi before I leave."
"You're leaving?!" Both Peashy and Akikaze said.
"But I wanted to play with Aki!" Peashy cried out clearly upset.
"I'm sorry P-ko, but Aki needs to keep up with his training. I promise I'll have a playdate schedule soon for the two of you." Seth thought for several seconds before he remembered Planeptune's newest park. With everything that went on with Rei they never got to enjoy it and Peashy had left before they planned the park. "Why don't we all go to the new amusement park at Planeptune." Seth suggested and that seemed to lift the young blonde girl's spirits.
"I want to go there!" Peashy said in joy.
"I'll take us there when I come back, I promise." Seth said, but Peashy got up and got close to Seth. She held out her pinky before pointing it at him.
"Pinky promise me." She said and Seth chuckled before extending his own pinky finger and shook Peashy's.
"Okay, I promise." With that, Peashy let out a squeal and hugged her dad. Akikaze had changed out of his pajamas and was now back in his tan Jedi robes. Seth gave him a stare before speaking.
"Aki, aren't you forgetting something?" Seth said as he held the black lightsaber hilt in his hands. The boy blushed before taking back his weapon, but Seth held onto the weapon.
"Akikaze, this weapon is your life, never let it out of your sight." Seth reprimanded his son. Akikaze took the words to hear before he then clipped it onto his belt. Seth, Akikaze and Charlotte left the room and headed towards the main area of the palace where they saw Charlotte's family members.
Seth was about to speak to them before the force screamed in his mind of imminent danger. He quickly looked around and saw his son was about to sneeze but something was off. He grabbed his son and pointed him away from the group while he held his arms to prevent him from covering his face. Akikaze didn't know what was going on but he couldn't fight the urge to sneeze and did as his body told him to do. He sneezed.
The area where he sneezed formed a massive black ice structure filled with sharp jagged edges. It would have harmed the Dunois family had Akikaze sneezed in their direction.
"Is everyone ok?" He asked out loud. Everyone responded with them saying they were ok.
"What the hell was that?" Albert Dunois said as he stared at the new ice structure that appeared from thin air. Seth saw Charlotte and her family members were safe from any harm. Now turning his attention to his son he saw a startled look on his face.
"Papa, what did I do?" Akikaze asked his father. Seth stared at his son and realized what he had discovered.
"Aki, I think you have an affinity for Ice magic."
"Affinity?"
"You know how I have my blue flames." Seth said while he held up his hand and blue fire erupted from his palm. Akikaze nodded and watched as his father's blue flames grew in his hands. Seth had them die down before speaking.
"Your volt weapon must have something to do with ice." Seth concluded, however he was starting to wonder if this new black ice was somehow linked to his black lightsaber.
"Can you control it?" Seth asked Akikaze. The young boy thought to himself for a few moments before he nodded his head in agreement. Seth handed his son a bottle of water from the table and Akikaze stared at it intently. Several seconds passed by before Akikaze let out a deep breath and the water froze over in the cup and took on a black color. Akikaze looked at his hand and then at Seth. Seth knew his son wanted to see what he could do but it could be dangerous. He would have to wait until later to truly test it out.
"We will train on how to control these new powers, but for now, you will only do it when I tell you." Seth said sternly as he didn't want Akikaze to do something he might regret. The boy was awakening something within him. During the gathering something happened to his son. He would get to the bottom of it when he returned. Akikaze was saddened by his father's response, but he understood it and accepted it. Seth turned towards the group that had just seen what they thought was an unnatural phenomenon.
"I'm sorry about Akikaze, I don't know where that came from." Seth said as he bowed his head, surprising the group.
"Charlotte you really had to fall in love with this man." Albert muttered the last part to himself before his wife gave him a pinch to his side. He winced but kept quiet. Diana let out a few chuckles at her mother's actions.
Saying goodbye to Charlotte and her family as they split paths. Akikaze and Seth headed to the Jedi where he dropped off the young boy and was soon back to his shuttle where he headed off to the nearby military base where the IS pilots had been staying. Kanzashi had spent the night there with her sister last night. Seth entered the room and saw the two sisters talking with each other. Both were in Imperial plug suits.
"Kanzashi, Tatenashi." Seth called out to them, getting their attention.
"Seth, you're here." Tatenashi said as she turned her head towards him. He saw that both of them had packed a bag for their trip.
"Both of you are sure you want to go with me, it could be dangerous." Seth said to the Sarashiki sister. He sensed through the force that they were resolute in their decision. "Very well. Put away the bag within your IS storage. We'll depart from the hanger." Seth said as he used the collar on his neck to transform his robes into a pilot suit. Once in the hangar the three activated their ISes. [Mysterious Mistress] and [Uchigane Sanshiki] materialized. Seeing both girls were ready, Seth activated [B.L.A.Z.E.] and her drone bits formed a circle towards the entrance of the hanger. A portal formed between the drone bits.
"Once we enter the portal you need to stay close to me. If you fall off course you'll be thrown God knows where."
"Roger." Both pilots said.
"Okay, follow me." Seth said as he flew towards the portal. The portal engulfed him and the two IS units followed behind him. They traveled through the void between dimensions. The two sisters stared at the unknown space around them. An unknown fear struck at them as they stared at the void.
"Relax, we will get out of here soon." Seth said as he sensed their unease. The two soon followed him and the three saw the opening to the unknown dimension. The three quickly exited and now floated above a grassy field.
"Blaze, Flame, see if there are any networks or connections you can make." The two soon reported to him.
"Nope. Nothing. This world has no form of electronic communication." Blaze stated.
"Master, we're in a far less developed world compared to our home." Flame added on.
"Well then, let's get going." Seth said as he started to land his machine. He had no idea where they were so he had to look for any signs of life. As he landed he took off his helmet and stared at the two girls as they did the same.
"Let's change into something less eye grabbing." Seth said as the nanites transformed his pilot suit into his Je'daii and Tatenashi pulled out their bags and found a nearby batch of foliage to change. They changed into their robes. At the moment they appear to be a group of traveling religious pilgrims. Hopefully they wouldn't draw unwanted attention. They came back to Seth who had his eyes closed and appeared to be meditating.
"Seth, we're done changing." Tatenashi said, getting his attention.
"Good I've sensed a large collection of life towards that direction. We should head there and hopefully find some civilization." Seth said as he pointed to the north.
"Hopefully we can find out where we are." Kanzashi said.
"I think it's best if we don't draw attention to ourselves." Seth said as they started walking in the direction.
"Are you sure this is the right way?" Tatenashi asked as they walked through the forest. They had been walking for hours and still no civilization.
"We're nearing a clearing, let's take a short break there." Seth said as he continued on. As they got closer to the clearing they heard was a woman screaming in a language they didn't know.
"Master, what was that?" Kanzashi asked.
"I don't know but we better hurry." Seth said as he broke into a run. The two followed behind him. As they got closer they saw a group of burly men approaching the lone woman while they were armed with swords and spears. The woman looked like she was scared for her life.
"I got the men, you two help the woman up." Seth said as he ignited his purple lightsaber and used accel to reach the attackers before their blades met the woman. Seth used the force to push away the group from the woman before he jumped towards them. Before one could react, the first man was bisected across the chest and fell. However he did not let out a cry of pain which surprised the former Sith Lord. He finally looked at the remaining and noticed these things were not alive. They had these unnatural glowing red eyes and shambled as they moved. It was clear they were some form of undead resurrected by magic.
The one Seth had cut in half vanished into a cloud of purple mist. Seth turned towards the others and used accel to dash towards the group. His purple blade swung at the group, cutting down three of them with a single swing. However his surprise of the mist did not last long as he had to dodge a spear thrown at him. With his enhanced reaction speed he easily dodge the spear by slightly tilting his body just enough for the spear to miss. He raised his hand up in the direction of the spear's origin and fired a bolt of force lightning at the undead. The undead was engulfed by the lighting before it started to convulse and then exploded into mist.
Thinking the danger was over he extinguished his blade and turned around, only to see one of these undead creatures slipped past him and was closing in on the three women. Tatenashi readied herself to protect the woman and her sister when Kanzashi leaped towards the charging attacker. She ignited her blue lightsaber and in a flash of light cut the undead in half.
"Kanzashi, you alright?" Tatenashi asked her younger sister who had just slay an undead creature.
"Huh? My body moved before I could even think about it." Kanzashi replied. The woman they were protecting looked at them in amazement.
"You three... your Shepherds?" The woman asked in her language which the group didn't understand at all.
"Blaze, ready a trans-am burst."
"Yes, Seth...It's ready." Blaze responded in his head. A mechanical black arm of his IS materialized, scaring the woman for a moment before a blizzard of green GN particles surrounded both Seth and the woman. He held out his hand and said "Seth Fairs"
The woman looked at him for a moment before she grabbed his hand. In a matter of seconds she was covered in the same GN particles before a loud female voice spoke out in her tongue. It took a moment before the woman realized what just happened. "I understand you now. Who are you three?"
"We are not Shepherds. My name is Seth." Seth replied in her language. He motioned to Kanzashi and Tatenashi as he introduced the two. "This is Kanzashi Sarashiki and Tatenashi Sarashiki."
"My name is Gloria. I owe you three my life. The Risen would have wasted no time in killing me."
"The Risen?" Seth asked.
"The undead, I don't know how else to explain it. They started appearing two years ago, just before the last war." Gloria said. She pointed to a direction behind her. "My village is over there, please come with me. I need to report this to the village leader, my husband."
"We'll follow. Please lead the way." Soon the Trans-am burst faded away. Blaze and Flame began to interpret all the knowledge they have been able to gather from the woman's mind. The woman was relatively well informed. They were in a country called the Halidom of Ylisse. The current ruler was Prince Chrom. There was a war around two years ago after the previous ruler, Emmeryn, tried to open a dialogue with the King of Plegia, Gangrel. Gangrel had other plans and launched an invasion on Ylisse.
The war took a turn in Ylisse's favor when the Exalt sacrificed herself in a selfless act that left many in the Plegian army disillusioned with continuing the war and a majority of the common people of Ylisse loved her. The war ended with the death of King Gangrel at the hands of Prince Chrom. The new King of Plegia agreed to a peace treaty and since the war ended there hasn't been any official hostility between the two countries. The Exalt of Ylisse, Chrom, has since then been trying to mend the relationship between the two countries.
In terms of the local map, there were a few other countries and kingdoms on the continent of Archanea, but the biggest ones are the Halidom of Ylisse, the Theocracy of Plegia, and the Regna Ferox. The last country has a unique government structure of having two leaders. The East Khan and West Khan. Power swapped between the two Khans based on who wins a tournament every few years.
Blaze and Flame also began to implant the language of this world into Seth. This action gave him a headache, but it was much faster than learning the language slowly.
"We've arrived." Gloria said as the group approached a village.
"Gloria!" A voice came from a man as he approached. The man had Red hair and eyes. He wore a dark blue robe and had a red sword strapped to his back.
"Finn!" Gloria smiled and embraced the man.
"Who are these people?" Finn asked.
"They saved me. They took down those undead creatures without so much as breaking a sweat." Gloria said.
"Thank you for helping my wife." Finn bowed his head. "Please come to my house."
Seth and the two sisters looked at each other. He translated for the two sisters who had no clue what the man just said.
"Sure, thank you." Seth said.
The three followed the man to a small house. They saw a young girl playing with a wooden sword. The girl looked up at the approaching group.
"Daddy!" The girl ran over and jumped into her father's arms.
"I'm home Lucy. These people helped mama on the road." Finn said.
The little girl turned to the group and smiled.
"Thank you, for helping my mommy."
"You're welcome." Seth smiled.
The little girl smiled back.
"Come on in." Finn opened the door.
The group walked into the house. Being the village leader seemed to have a few perks as it was larger than the surrounding homes.
"Please have a seat." Finn gestured to the table.
The three sat down at the table. The two sisters looked around at the new place.
"I'm sorry, where are my manners? I am Finn. My wife is Gloria. This is our daughter Lucy." Seth introduced himself and the two sisters in return. He told the family they were travelers from a far away land and how he was the only one that spoke Ylissian.
"Would you like something to drink?" Gloria asked.
"Water will be fine." Seth said.
The woman nodded and left the room. She returned moments later with a pitcher of water and four cups. She filled the cups with water and passed them out to each person at the table.
"So, what brings you to this part of Ylissi?" Finn asked. Seth thought for a moment before responding.
"We heard rumors of the undead running amok and decided to check it out." Seth replied. No need to tell them about the relic they're looking for since they had no idea what they were looking for.
"I see, well, I'm glad you did. I don't know what we'd do if we lost Gloria." Finn looked at his wife who was now holding his hand. "I'll need to report this incident to Ylisstol. They might send an investigator to look into this."
"That would be fine." Seth nodded.
"I know you must be tired from the journey here. You are free to stay here tonight." Finn said.
Seth looked over at the two sisters. "It would be nice to sleep in a bed."
The sisters smiled at Seth.
"I'll show you to your rooms. We got two spare rooms luckily for you. And one of the guest rooms has two beds." Gloria Stood up.
"That will be fine." Seth said.
Gloria led the group to the two rooms. Seth walked into the first room. It had two small beds, perfect for Kanzashi and Tatenashi to share. Gloria led Seth to the other room that had a larger single bed.
"This is the room you'll be staying in." Gloria said.
"Thank you." Seth said.
Gloria walked out of the room. Seth walked over to the bed and sat down. He bought up his hologram projector on his wrist and looked at the diagram of the newest tool Tabane had made for him. It was a set of 20 small satellites that could be set up in orbit allowing him to have coverage of this planet. This world was so underdeveloped there was no form of wireless communication. Not even a radio signal. With these satellites in place he could have a live updating map, guidance for his weapon, and most importantly allow long range communication between himself and the Sarashiki sisters. He wasn't used to having someone with him during these adventures aside from Blaze and Flame, but their soul bonds allowed them to speak regardless of how far apart they were. He didn't expect to be separated from the two sisters for long periods of time, but it put his mind at ease having a way to contact them if needed.
He heard a knock at the door and put away the hologram project before opening the door. The two sisters were waiting to be let in. He motioned them to enter the room before closing the door.
"Is something wrong?" Seth asked.
"I wanted to know what the game plan was." Tatenashi asked.
"We need to wait for either Blaze or Flame to detect the relic first and then we can plan on how to obtain it. My biggest priority right now is getting these new satellites up and running. Then I plan on taking you two hunting." Seth said while he bought up the diagram of the satellites on his wrist.
"Satellites?" Tatenashi asked.
"Hunting?" Kanzashi inquired.
"Tabane made me a new device to get around the lack of wireless communications on this planet. These satellites will allow me to have global coverage of the area and will allow us to keep in contact with each other. As for the hunting, I know both of you have never taken a life before. If we are going to do this, I will need to train you two to be able to handle yourselves in combat. So when the time comes and we have to fight, you won't hesitate." Seth said.
"How do you plan on training us?" Tatenashi asked.
"Killing an animal is not the same as taking the life of another person, but it's a starting point. I can't fully prepare you for the moment should you have to take a life but I will do what I can. We will leave early in the morning. I saw some deer pelts while we were walking into town so it's safe to assume they live around here and act like deer of our world." Seth explained. The three were called to dinner shortly after and enjoyed the meal with the village leader's family.
As Seth laid in bed his mind was racing on how to get Kanzashi and Tatenashi used to the idea of killing. Even if they could kill an animal, the thought of having to kill a human being was enough to give anyone pause. Seth himself wasn't sure when taking lives stopped mattering to him so much. His first kill at 13 left him a sobbing mess that Natasha had to spend a few days consoling. He still didn't like killing but he wouldn't hesitate to do so if needed.
Blaze materialized her physical form in front of him in the bed. She laid next to him and placed her hand on his face. She knew he was worrying about them.
"They will be okay," she assured.
"I know, I just don't want to see them turn out like me,"Seth admitted.
"You're not a bad person. You only do what needs to be done." Blaze argued.
"I am a cold-blooded killer Blaze. I have taken more lives than I can count. I'm wondering when did I stop caring?" Seth questioned. It was clear his mind was starting to rethink his action.
"You still care, you still feel remorse for the people you have killed, but you don't let those emotions control you. They are your friends and allies, you would do anything to keep them alive, even if that meant sacrificing yourself." Blaze reminded him.
"Thanks, Blaze. You always know what to say." Seth smiled.
"My job is to make you happy, remember? And I will always be by your side till the day we die." Blaze answered.
Lemon Redacted
Several hours later.
Seth was happy but he was also dead tired. They had been making love till the crack of dawn. He smiled at his soul mate as she slept peacefully next to him. She looked so beautiful with her white hair spilling across the pillow and her cheeks flushed from their activities. As he was admiring her beauty she vanished in a shower of particles. She had gone into a deep sleep.
He wouldn't get any real rest tonight since he had chosen other activities instead of sleeping. For now meditated allowing his mind to recover and this act could allow him to remain active. It wasn't as good as real sleep but it had helped him countless times during the clone around 45 minutes of meditation he heard Kanzashi and Tatenashi move around in the other rooms. He got up and put on some clothes and went downstairs to meet them.
"Morning," He said in a cheery tone. Both girls looked surprised to see him awake.
"Good morning," Tatenashi greeted him with a smile. "You seem unusually happy this morning?"
"I'm always happy in the mornings." He told her. "I'm leaving a note for the village leader letting him know we'll be back in the later morning after hunting. Come on, deer won't stay out in the open for very long." Seth turned and left the house. The girls quickly got ready and followed him. They started following a game trail leading towards a river. After twenty minutes of walking, he held up his hand signaling for the girls to stop.
"What is it?" Kanzashi asked.
"I saw movement in the trees over there." Seth pointed off into the forest. He brought out two blaster rifles with scopes and a bow for himself. He handed Kanzashi and Tatenashi the rifle. The two girls took the blasters in their hands. He led them around a bush to get a better view of what was in the trees. He spotted two deer drinking water. A Male buck and a female doe.
"Ok who's going first." He whispered. Kanzashi raised her hand.
"Alright get the crosshairs on the buck. Wait till it raises its head and exhales. Take the shot." He commanded. Through the force he sensed his apprentice going through a flurry of emotions in her head. Fear, nervousness, doubt, and then finally confidence. Her finger pulled the trigger sending a red bolt towards the buck. The shot hit the deer in the chest. The doe bolted from the scene as the male buck stumbled backwards before collapsing on the ground. However it was not struggled to get up, blood pouring from its wound. Seth got up and walked to the animal.
The deer raised its head and stared into its killer's eyes. Kanzashi came running behind Seth. Tears were flowing from her face. Tatenashi put her hand on her shoulder.
"The job is not over yet." He said to his apprentice. He brought out a knife and handed it to Kanzashi. She hesitantly took the knife and kneeled down next to the buck. Kanzashi closed her eyes and put the blade to the Deer's neck. Seth put his hand on her shoulder. Tatenashi stood next to them.
"Good job, you did what had to be done. I know you have a kind heart, but killing is sometimes necessary." He said to the girl. Kanzashi sliced the buck's neck, ending its misery. Seth took the knife from his apprentice and picked up the deer and slung it over his shoulder.
"Let's go over to that tree. We need to prepare the meat before it goes bad." Seth said as he carried the deer to a nearby tree and used a rope to tie it up. Now hanging upside down Seth began to disembowel the deer. Tatenashi and Kanzashi watched Seth gut the animal.
He stuck his knife in its flesh and made a deep incision in the deer's stomach. He then reached his hands inside and removed the deer's organs. He cut out the liver, lungs, and intestine. Then the heart, kidneys, and the stomach. He threw the unusable parts in a pile for disposal and kept the usable meat. Seth cleaned the meat in a nearby sisters didn't like the sight of him cutting up an animal, but they couldn't look away. Seth then began to skin the animal. Kanzashi puked when she saw him rip the skin off. Tatenashi rubbed her sister's back. Seth finished skinning the buck and hung the hide on a tree.
"We can't let the deer's sacrifice be in vain by wasting any of its body." Seth said. He then cut out the deer's legs, arms, neck, and antlers.
"This should be good enough for now." He said putting away the meat in his storage dimension for the time being.
"Ok Tatenashi it's your turn to hunt."
"Right." Tatenashi said, holding out her blaster rifle. Kanzashi looked at Tatenashi. Seth loaded the deer's hide in his [RIG]. He closed his eyes and began to look for the closest living creature. There was no deer, but there was a focused on its location and opened his eyes.
"Follow me." Seth said, leading Tatenashi and Kanzashi. Seth leads them to a small herd of boars. Seth spotted his target, a large one that was over 500 pounds.
"You got this?" Seth asked Tatenashi. She nodded her head. She aimed her blaster rifle and fired. The boar fell dead, a blaster shot directly on where its heart and lungs would be. Seth whistled, impressed by her aim.
"Not bad." Seth said. Tatenashi beamed with pride. Seth gutted the boar similar to how he did the deer. Seth cut the useful meat from the animal and threw the rest. He then skinned the boar. He gave the sisters a quick lesson in how to properly clean meat and then put the hide in his storage dimension.
"You handled that better than I was expecting, Tatenashi." Seth said.
"I nearly had to kill someone in the past so I was mentally prepared to kill, but actually taking a living thing's life is..." Seth didn't need the force to tell she was conflicted.
"It's ok to feel remorse. You took a living being's life, so you should respect its life, and never forget the lesson." Seth told Tatenashi. He felt her mood increase somewhat but it was clear she would need a little time. He was worried now if the time came for them to take an actual life, how would they fair. After quickly gutting the boar and taking the good parts he decided now was the time to launch the satellites.
"I'll be back in a bit." Seth said as he summoned [B.L.A.Z.E.], the black mechanical exoskeleton suit wing's released a stream of green GN particles and took to the sky. Seth flew to the outside of the planet's atmosphere. Once the black void of space filled his view he determined he flew high enough. He bought out the tiny satellites from [B.L.A.Z.E.]'s internal storage and let them fly loose. Once released the satellites ignited their ion engines and moved in sync. They circled the planet and formed a network. It wasn't long till Seth was able to call the two sisters from the orbit of the planet they were on as a way to test the new networks.
Seeing that he was happy with the communications ability of the satellite he ordered them to begin scanning the planet. This would surely speed up their search for the relic. Seth flew back to the sisters. The sister saw him re-entering the atmosphere which unknown to them would cause the local population to speculate that a star had fallen somewhere in the general area.
"Lets head back to the chief. We have a long day ahead of us." Seth said. The two sisters walked in silence as the trio returned to the village. Seth noticed that the village was in an uproar for some reason. Figuring it was nothing important the trio continued their way to the village chief. Once they reached his home Seth knocked.
"Enter." Said Finn. Seth entered the house with the sisters.
"Oh, did you have a successful hunt?" Finn asked.
"Yes. We found a large buck and boar." He remarked.
"Impressive, where is the meat?" The chief said as he didn't see them holding anything.
"I used magic from my homeland to store it away. Here I can bring it out." Seth said as he lied and brought out the meat from the two creatures.
"That's some impressive magic!" Finn exclaimed. Seth smiled and the two talked a bit longer when someone rushed into the home.
"Chief! A fallen star was spotted in the sky!" The man said in a panic. Seth raised an eyebrow.
"Calm down and explain." Finn commanded.
"One of the scouts reported seeing a bright falling star in the sky. It landed near the lake." The man explained.
"First the Risen that attacked Gloria and now this. I hope the capital sends an envoy soon." Finn sighed.
"I should have launched the satellites at night." Seth remarked in his mind. His reentry had caused the commotion he saw. "How far away is the capital from here?"
"Ylisstol is about two days on horseback from here, a week by foot. If you're headed there I'll be more than happy to give you some supplies." Finn remarked. "It's the least I can do for the ones who saved my wife."
"How about in exchange for the meat and pelts we gathered today? I'd feel bad if we just took these without some form of payment." Seth suggested. Finn nodded and agreed.
"I'll have it prepared for you tomorrow. Until then please stay the night. Gloria wouldn't want me to send our saviors off in the dark." Finn insisted.
"I thank you for your continued hospitality." Seth said to Finn as he stepped outside to lay out the pelts. After that was done he gave Kanzashi a lesson in lightsaber training. They had found a clearing behind the chief's house. Seth's purple lightsaber and Kanzashi's blue blade clashed against one another. Kanzashi was slowly improving and was getting the hang of the different styles of fighting. Seth had to admit he was impressed, but not surprised.
As the two practiced, they had gained a bit of a small crowd. At first it was just Lucy who was mystified by the sight of the two blades of light clashing and the sound they gave off. Said sound had caused a group of children from the village to gather.
"So cool." Lucy remarked as the two fought. Kanzashi improved slightly, but Seth was still dominating the fight. Seeing his apprentice was getting tired he extinguished his blade. Kanzashi did the same and the two bowed to each other.
"You're doing better." Seth complimented her.
"Th-thanks master." Kanzashi replied.
"Focus on meditating for a bit this afternoon." Seth said as he headed towards the tree line.
"Where are you going?" Kanzashi asked.
"It's a beautiful day. I'm gonna take a nap under a tree." Seth answered and walked deeper into the forest. Kanzashi shrugged and went back into the chief's home. Since his activities with Blaze last night, Seth had been feeling a little tired.
"Oh you better rest up, cause I'm gonna have my turn tonight." Flame said within his mind. She was jealous that Blaze got him last night and wanted her chance.
"I'm looking forward to it." Seth thought, causing Flame to smile. The demoness giggled and decided to let him sleep. Seth reached a clearing and leaned against the tree. He didn't mean to, but the warmth of the sun rays and the slight breeze, caused him to fall asleep.
Several hours later.
"Master! Wake up!" Kanzashi's voice awoke Seth. He opened his eyes and saw the blue haired girl standing over him. He took a moment to look at his surroundings. The sun was setting and the sky was painted orange.
"Did I really sleep the whole day?" Seth mumbled and stood up.
"Chief Finn's wife said dinner would be ready soon." Kanzashi told him.
"Thanks." Seth responded and followed her. He had a peaceful nap and felt somewhat refreshed. The two IS pilots returned to the chief's house. After enjoying the dinner the trio retreated to their given rooms. Seth sat in his room staring at a hologram screen. It was displaying data coming from the newly formed satellite network. They had detected the unique energy of the relic that they were looking for; however, it was not in one place and according to the angel and demoness. It had fragmented like the sword of Gehaburn. According to the data it was scattered across two continents.
"Looks like we have our work cut out." Seth thought as he combed through the data. He also had a map of the general location and now saw that the capital was not far away. If they flew there they would be there within an hour and there was a large forest nearby where they could land. As he was planning he heard a light knocking on the door.
"Come in." Seth called and the door slid open, revealing Tatenashi. The light blue-haired woman entered his room, wearing her pajamas.
"What's up, can't sleep?" Seth greeted her.
"Something like that. Kanzashi was already asleep and I was just laying in bed so I came to see what you were up to." She said cheerfully.
"Just plotting a course to the nearest relic fragment." Seth answered. Tatenashi peaked over his shoulder and looked at the screen.
"That's the capital, huh. You have a plan to get there." She asked as she brought her head next to his as she looked over his shoulder.
"Yeah, we'll land here in the nearby forest and walk the rest of the way there. We'll look around trying to find any sources of information that could tell us about any myths or legends regarding any sort of tool. We don't know what the relic is, could be a weapon, a ring, or armor? Blaze and Flame should have uploaded the language to your I.S. so you should be able to hold a conversation if needed."
"Sounds easy enough." Tatenashi commented.
"If all sticks to the plan it should but nothing ever does." Seth replied and Tatenashi giggled. "Well, thanks for checking in but you should get some sleep." Seth told her.
"Not yet. I'm feeling left behind. Kanzashi gets to spend time with you while training and you had some fun with one of your two ladies..." Tatenashi said the latter sentence with a slight blush on her face which Seth also gave. He must have woken her up with the noise they made last night.
"Sorry, I was trying to be quiet."
"Jeez we came along here with the intent of getting closer so we can get married and you sleep with another woman. You womanizer." Tatenashi teased again, causing Seth to turn even redder.
"Sorry." He apologized again. Tatenashi giggled before speaking.
"Don't apologize, I'm kidding. However, I'm feeling left out." Tatenashi told him and Seth sighed.
"Okay, what do you want? Dinner date, a movie, a kiss." Seth joked. Tatenashi smiled.
"Hmm, How about a massage? The last one felt really good and the bed were in right now is killer on my back." She asked.
"Sure." Seth agreed and Tatenashi squealed. She noticed him gather some sort of green energy into his hand before he threw it at the wall. She was wondering what that light was for but saw him motioning her to get ready for the massage.
"Thanks, hubby." She teased him and took a turn to have her back facing him. He began massaging her shoulders.
"Wow, you are tiff. You sure you don't need a professional." Seth joked. Tatenashi moaned slightly.
"No, yours is better."
"Why's that?"
"Because it's from you." Tatenashi said with a gentle smile on her face and Seth blushed. Last time the two flirted, she was on the defensive this time she was being the one taking charge.
"You know I think I can do a better job if you were massaging your bare skin instead of through your pajamas." He teased back and Tatenashi giggled.
"Go ahead." Seth stopped massaging her and moved her hair to the side. He began unbuttoning her PJ top and slowly worked his way down. Once the shirt was completely undone, Tatenashi slid the sleeves off her and let the garment fall onto the bed.
"Your bra too." Seth whispered and Tatenashi blushed. She reached behind her and unhooked the bra. Like her PJ top, she slipped her sleeve off and allowed the garment to fall. She was now naked from the waist up and her heart began pounding.
"Better?" Tatenashi asked.
"Yeah." Seth replied and began massaging her. Tatenashi moaned softly and spoke.
"Harder, Seth." Seth pressed his fingers harder on her and Tatenashi moaned louder.
"Like that."
"Yes." Tatenashi replied and Seth continued.
"Oh, yes, Seth. Right there. That feels so good." Tatenashi moaned and Seth rubbed the knots in her shoulders.
"Ahhh, oh Seth, yes, keep going." Tatenashi moaned loudly and her legs began rubbing against each other. Seth smirked as he got on top of her as she laid on the bed and kissed her neck.
"Seth, wait. Ahhh."
"What, you're the one who's been teasing me." Seth countered and bit her ear.
"Seth! What if Kanzashi hears us?"
"Don't worry the room is soundproof, no one will hear us." Now remember that light he threw into the wall she figured it was some sort of spell that would muffle the noise they were making. She felt him nibble her ear again and his hands began playing with her chest.
"Wait Seth, not tonight. I'm not ready yet" Tatenashi begged and Seth got off her.
"Sorry, I guess, I got carried away."
"It's alright, you're a guy and I can imagine you're already used to this sort of thing, but you were going too fast. I haven't even had my first kiss yet you demon."
"Sorry Tatenashi, I'll slow down." Seth apologized..
"It's ok, you were just following your instincts." Tatenashi said as she put on her shirt.
"I don't want to pressure you. Take our relationship at a pace you're comfortable with. I'll follow your lead. Though I'm a little surprised you haven't kissed anyone yet." The former Sith lord remarked
"I never had the chance to try and find someone to date before. Since I'm the next head of the Sarashiki family, I was solely focusing on that. And I figured I would just be engaged in an arranged marriage at some point. So, I never looked for a boyfriend." Tatenashi explained. The idea of getting married was just something she figured would happen eventually.
"You want to try kissing?" Tatenashi nodded and Seth cupped her cheek. He moved his face closer to hers and their lips touched. Seth wrapped his hand around her waist and Tatenashi wrapped her arms around his neck.
"Wow." Tatenashi whispered and Seth chuckled.
"Did you like that?"
"That was my first kiss. Of course, I liked it."
"Well, we can do more if you want." Seth offered and Tatenashi blushed.
"Maybe just one more." Tatenashi whispered and Seth pressed his lips against hers again. He gently pushed her onto her back and his tongue entered her mouth.
"Ah." Tatenashi gasped and her eyes went wide. His tongue was moving wildly inside her mouth and the feeling was foreign. Then, her eyes rolled to the back of her head and her mind was filled with bliss.
"How was that?"
"Amazing." Tatenashi answered and Seth smiled. "Another one." She muttered before she could even think. Seth gladly accepted her request and their tongues danced again.
"Ahh..." Tatenashi moaned softly in his mouth. Seth pulled his tongue out.
"Making out isn't going too far is it?" He said while looking into her eyes. Tatenashi shook her head and Seth began kissing her neck.
"Seth." She whimpered and closed her eyes. His kisses felt great and his hot breath gave her a pleasant tingling sensation. Seth sucked on her skin and a pleasurable sensation flowed through her body.
"Oh god." She muttered and her heart sped up. She grabbed his chin and forced their lips together. Seth's tongue dominated hers and she gripped his shoulders.
"MMMM!" Tatenashi couldn't help her moans and Seth separated their lips.
"Seth..." Tatenashi whined and he grinned.
"If you keep making those cute noises, I'll lose control. We should call it here." Seth suggested and Tatenashi agreed.
"Don't worry, we can pick up tomorrow." Seth whispered in her ear and Tatenashi shivered. "Goodnight." He whispered as he saw her get up from his bed.
"Night." Tatenashi said as she opened the door and exited the room. Another hand from behind the door closed it shut leaving Seth alone with a clearly upset demoness.
"I thought you agreed it was my turn tonight. So what was that?" Flame said clearly upset. Her eyes gave off an unnatural green glow and her pupils were turned into slits instead of her usual eyes.
"Flame calmed down. It's not like anything happened." Seth argued and the demoness narrowed her eyes.
"You were mere moments away from giving what is rightfully MINE into another woman. I'm a little upset. You know demons take promises very seriously" Flame had pressed Seth against the bed pinning him down with her large chest and placed his hand on his hard member. She gave him a firm squeeze causing him to groan.
"I didn't forget! I was planning on still sleeping with you even if things went that way with Tatenashi."
"Well it's a good thing you have a lot of stamina cause you'll be needing it. Cause were gonna go all night." Flame growled. "I let you nap for so long with this reason." Flame cooed as she rubbed his member through his robes.
In the early morning.
Kanzashi was the first to awaken in her room she was sharing with her sister. She looked over to her sister and saw a happy look on her face. She figured she must have had a good dream or something. As she got up and knocked on Seth's door she didn't hear any response. Opening the door she found it empty. Kanzashi decided Seth must have woken before everyone else and left. Walking back to her room, she saw Tatenashi was awake.
"Onee-chan sleep well?" Kanzashi asked as her sister yawned.
"Like a baby." Tatenashi replied and stood.
"Did Seth come by and wake us up already?" Tatenashi wondered and Kanzashi shook her head.
"No, I checked his room and it's empty." Kanzasha explained and Tatenashi raised an eyebrow.
"We can call him. Hang on." Tatenashi said as she remembered the satellite network was up and running. She brought up a hologram screen and dialed Seth. It rang for a bit before he answered.
"Morning ladies, wondering where I am?" Seth greeted and Tatenashi chuckled.
"Yeah we are. Where are you anyways?" Tatenashi inquired.
"Near the river we were at yesterday. Caught a few fish. I'll be back soon." Seth said as he ended the call. In truth he had gone to the river only after Flame had milked him to his limits and had to get the smell off of him before the other two woke up. The fishing only happened as the opportunity presented itself.
"Well it looks like we have to wait." Tatenashi sighed and Kanzashi shrugged.
Seth soon arrived and surprised Finn and his family with the fresh fish. After the group enjoyed breakfast, Finn showed the trio the supplies they had prepared and sent them off.
Once the group had walked for around 30 minutes they activated their I.S. and flew towards the capital. As they flew their radars detected something. The group stopped mid-air and used their machine's sensors to figure out what they were detecting. To their surprise they were flying pegasus and wyvern patrolling the capital. This world's form of air defense he figured.
They decided to land a bit farther away in order to prevent being spotted by the flying creatures. It would take them around an hour to reach the capital on foot. They deactivated their I.S. and continued their journey.
As the trio approached the capital, they realized how medieval the city was. There were no electric lines, cars, or buildings. Instead the city was composed of wooden and stone structures. A giant castle was located at the center.
"This is just like a fantasy game." Kanzashi mumbled and Tatenashi nodded. Seth didn't say anything and the group approached a guard standing at the gate.
"Excuse me." Seth addressed the man.
"Who are you three and what are your business in the capital?" The man questioned.
"My name is Seth and these are compatriots. We're traveling for a religious pilgrimage and are here to visit Naga's temple." Seth explained. Figuring this would be the most successful way of entering the city as they couldn't claim they were merchants without any wares or a cart to sell. The guard scanned the trio and saw them in their simple robes and no visible weapons, earning his suspicion.
"It's dangerous for you to be traveling without any weapons. Reports of bandit activity on the rise and the Risen too have been spotted."
"The Risen. Are those the undead monsters." Seth asked and the guard was shocked.
"So, you've seen them."
"I have magic at my disposal. These girls however have none." Seth said to the guard.
"Magic. You are a mage traveler."
"Yes, surely this is enough for you to let us pass?" Seth said as he raised up a hand with two fingers extended and used the Jedi mind trick on the guard.
"Certainly, welcome to Ylisstol." The guard complied and the trio thanked him and entered the capital.
"Alright were finally here." Tatenashi cheered and Kanzashi stayed silent.
"Let's explore. We need to find a library or something like that." Seth stated and the sisters nodded.
"Where should we search?"
"City seems safe enough, let's walk around and see what we can find." Seth suggested and the girls followed him.
While exploring the trio noticed the city was busy and bustling. Merchants were selling their goods and families were shopping. Everyone seemed rather friendly. As they walked they found a stand selling some sort of baked sweet. It smelled delicious. Deciding to treat the group, Seth purchased three of the baked goods and handed one to the girls.
"Thank." Kanzashi expressed her gratitude and Tatenashi did the same. As the two sisters bit into their pastries, Seth overheard the merchant he had just bought from speaking to a blonde-haired woman who was wearing this bright yellow dress and had her hair tied up into two ponytails sticking out on each side of her head.
"I'm sorry, I just sold my last pastries of the day." The vendor informed her and the lady frowned.
"Aww, and they smell so delicious." The girl complained. Seth lowered the snack from his mouth before he took a bite and walked toward the disappointed customer.
"Here. You can have mine." Seth offered and the blonde hair woman's frown disappeared.
"Really."
"Sure, it's fine."
"Thanks. My name is Lissa and yours is."
"Seth."
"Nice to meet-" Lissa cut herself off and noticed Seth wasn't alone. "And these are?"
"Friends, Tatenashi and Kanzashi. We're travelers visiting the capitol hoping to get inside Naga's temple."
"Travelers. From where."
"A very far away land across the ocean. We call it Reach." Seth was praying that this planet had yet to fully map out all its nations.
"Reach. Never heard of a nation with that name-"
"HEY STOP HIM! THIEF!" A merchant yelled and pointed to a hooded person sprinting passed. Without thinking Seth raised his hand up and caught the thief using the force to hold them in place. The sight of the thief being frozen in place by an unseen force stunned the group before the guard broke out of it and arrested the thief.
"What was that?" Lissa asked, amazed and Seth played it cool.
"Magic from our homeland." Seth said. Before Lissa could respond a guard came up to her.
"Princess Lissa, are you alright?"
"I'm fine, no harm done."
"Princess?" Seth shot his head towards the blonde and Lissa giggled.
"Surprised? Chrom my brother is the Exalt and rules alongside his wife Robin. I'm their younger sister." Lissa revealed and Seth sweatdropped.
'Great a princess.' Seth wanted to keep a low profile and they had just run directly into the royalty of the nation and had revealed some of their foreign abilities. He had to get them away before they blew their cover.
"Lissa, were glad to meet you but we shouldn't hog your time. Enjoy your sweet." Seth quickly excused himself and the girls.
"Bye." Tatenashi and Kanazashi waved and the trio departed leaving the girl dumbfounded.
"He was kinda cute." Lissa commented.
"Shouldn't we question him about his strange magic? And the fact he left the moment you told him you were royalty." Frederick the wary, the royal's personal knight, spoke. He had been observing the group as they interacted.
"Frederick, no need to suspect him. Magic isn't unheard of and they're probably not comfortable talking to a princess as visitors. They don't seem like bad people. If needed, we can collect them later." Lissa dismissed and Frederick reluctantly agreed.
After escaping the princess, the trio wandered and searched the city. Unfortunately, they didn't get any leads. Naga's temple has little information regarding weapons or items of great importance even though the temple itself was beautiful. As the sun had set and darkness overtook the sky, the trio found themselves in an open public square.
"Looks like we're not having any luck." Seth sighed and the girls agreed. The only library they were able to learn about was the royal library but how would they get inside as it wasn't open to the public.
"We should find a place to rest. No point looking now." Tatenashi added as she stared at the sky and Seth stretched.
"We should try to find an inn." Seth suggested and the girls agreed, but their plans soon changed as they heard screaming.
"Get back!"
"Help!"
"Risen!"
"Run!" Citizens were yelling and fleeing. Wasting no time, Seth rushed towards the source of the screaming with the two sisters following behind. Running through the street, the trio reached an area and saw a large number Risen. Their pale rotten flesh and glowing red eyes terrified the civilians. He spotted an older man protecting a small boy next to him, by using his body to make space between the two.
"Stay behind me lad." The elder encouraged and the boy cried. Seth ignited one of his purple lightsabers and leapt into the battle. With a single slash, Seth bisected the Risen. The two looked in awe at the man wielding the glowing purple blade, and didn't move.
"Move!" Seth ordered and the pair snapped out of their daze and fled. Using the force, Seth fired an arc of force lighting at a nearby group of Risen. The lighting struck true and disintegrated the group. Kanzashi ignited her newly crafted blade and joined her master in the fight. Tatenashi partially deployed her IS and brought out [Mysterious Mistress] lance. She pointed the spear before letting the rotary blaster on the lance shred a group of Risen.
Kanzashi dashed past a Risen and sliced the monster in half. She kicked the ground propelling her forward and skewered another Risen. As the Risen fell, the Padawan decapitated the corpse and moved onto the next target. Tatentashi was engaging a cluster of the undead and was keeping her distance. One was charging her and swung its ax. She thrusted her spear into the creature and spun dismembering the Risen. She pulled the trigger and mowed down the rest.
Seeing the two sisters handling the horde, Seth focused his attention towards the Risen archers. He caught the arrow the creature fired with the force. He blasted a force push towards the source of the arrow. The invisible blast crushed the creature.
"Master watch out." Kanzashi shouted and Seth sensed the danger. Ducking, Seth avoided a sword attack. Standing his lightsaber, the second strike from the undead made contact with the blade of plasma, instantly cutting the metal sword. Seth counterattacked and split the Risen.
"Where the hell are these guys coming from?!" Seth cursed. They had killed close to 40 of them by this point but there seemed to be no end in sight. Suddenly a light enveloped a Risen and destroyed the monster. Seth turned his head and saw a white haired woman holding a tome in her hand and next to her was a blue haired man wielding a sword. He had the same symbol on his right shoulder as the ones he spotted in the town. Several other people who appeared with them began fighting against the Risen
"Chrom, are the villagers okay?" The female asked and the male, who Seth assumed was the exalt, scanned the the area.
"Looks like its cleared. Miriel and the others are dealing with the the the the west." Chrom responded. The female spotted the trio and approached them.
"We're thankful for your assistance." The woman greeted and Seth nodded.
"I'm Chrom and this is my wife and tactician Robin. We're the leaders of the Shepherds." Chrom introduced.
"Pleasure to meet you, your Excellence, my name is Seth and these are my companions Tatenashi and Kanzashi." Seth said as he introduced the group.
"A unique weapon you got there stranger." Chrom said point to the ignited lightsabers.
"It's a type of magical blade. We're travelers and visiting your wonderful city." Seth explained and Robin was intrigued. She needed to know if these strangers were a threat.
"We can talk more inside the castle. It's safer there." Robin suggested and Seth debated the offer. It would give the opportunity to view the royal library and the Shepherds could prove a valuable ally. However he felt a disturbance in the force and several more Risen appeared.
"Kanzashi, did you sense that?" Seth said as he took a battle stance.
"Yes master, I felt it."
"Help the Exalt, I'm finding the caster. Stay sharp girls." Seth commanded and the two sisters acknowledged his orders. Tatenashi assisted Robin and Chrom with their group of Risen while Kanzashi followed her master.
Seth used the force and traced the disturbance. As he closed in the disturbance, he noticed the streets were devoid of life. The sounds of battle and people had been replaced by silence. Feeling the disturbance was strong here, Seth ignited his lightsaber.
"Come out." Seth demanded and a laugh echoed. A cloaked man emerged before him.
"You're a fool to come here alone." The man hissed and Seth remained calm.
"Why are you summoning Risen?"
"Lord Grima's will is absolute."
"Grima. Who's that."
"You shall know in death." The man said as he pulled out a dark tome. Seth sensed the dark magic and used the force to freeze the man. Using the force, Seth threw the man into a wall.
"Talk." Seth demanded as the man stood.
"Even if you kill me, Lord Grima's plans can't be stopped. The apocalypse is inevitable."
"Apocalypse. What are you planning?"
"Once we summon our lord, all existence will be purged." The man laughed and Seth knew there was only one way to get the information he needed. He gathered the dark side of the force within himself before he attacked the mind of the that time was of the essence and that the information he sought was vital, Seth steeled himself, channeling the primal forces of the dark side of the force within him. With a surge of determination, he launched a powerful psychic assault, penetrating the depths of the caster's consciousness. The man's anguished screams reverberated in Seth's mind as he delved deeper, navigating the labyrinth of the man's memories and fears.
Amidst the swirling chaos of the man's consciousness, Seth unearthed the sinister plot orchestrated by the enigmatic cult. He learned of a formidable entity known as Grima, a colossal dragon of kingdom-sized proportions. Seth pieced together their nefarious scheme, which hinged upon the sacrificial offering of a victim, to serve as the vessel for this self-proclaimed harbinger of destruction. The summoning of Grima posed an imminent threat, promising to unleash an unparalleled cataclysm that would plunge this world into an abyss of irreversible devastation and despair.
"So, you are a Plegian mage," Seth deduced, his voice tinged with a blend of concern and determination, as he now grasped the magnitude of their adversary's dark designs. Recovering the relic and stopping the coming of Grima had to be somehow related.
He looked at the shell of the man whose mind he had violated and was now a soulless husk. He was still alive in a biological sense, but his mind was destroyed, in a manner that would never be repaired or healed. Seth impaled his lightsaber to end the life of the caster. Sense the life fading from the man, he moved back where he left the Sarashiki sisters.
As he rejoined the group he spotted Kanzashi who was waiting for her master. Her eyes lit up as she spotted the man walking back to her.
"Master, are you alright." The padawan asked.
"I found the caster, I was left with no choice but to kill him. Let's head back and talk to the Exalt, we can't hide now that we've revealed ourselves." Seth answered
"That would explain why the Risen suddenly vanished at once." Kanzashi responded.
Returning to the site of the skirmish, they found Tatenashi engaged in a conversation with Chrom and Robin. It was quite apparent that Tatenashi was grappling with a language barrier, and her proficiency in their tongue left much to be desired. As she strived to convey her thoughts, Chrom and Robin exchanged bemused glances from time to time, trying to decipher her statements. Unbeknownst to them, Tatenashi was using an advanced heads-up display (HUD) embedded within her mind thanks to her IS, allowing her to project and understand the correct words, even though they seemed slightly discordant.
"You've returned Seth. I take it the caster has been dealt with." Robin assumed, and Seth nodded.
"I was left with no choice but to kill the man, but before he died I learned he was a mage from Plegia and was in service to something called Grima?" Seth's voice took on an inquisitive inflection, a deliberate choice to withhold the extent of the information he had amassed, preferring to gauge his audience before divulging the full scope of his knowledge.
"Grima is the fell dragon, the god of destruction and harbinger of demise," Robin explained, her countenance tinged with an air of trepidation.
"And my understanding is Plegia is the nation that this land was at war with two years ago?" Seth asked and Robin affirmed his assertion.
"That is correct.'' Chrom replied, a tinge of melancholy creeping into his voice, vividly recalling the memory of his sister and her selfless sacrifice, a pivotal moment that had shifted the course of the war in Ylisse's favor.
"What are your sleeping arrangements?" Robin asked the group.
"We haven't arranged any yet." Seth answered and Chrom offered a suggestion.
"The castle has plenty of room and It'd be wrong of me not to offer the heroes who saved lives hospitality." Chrom offered and the trio accepted his proposal.
"Perfect. I'll have the maids arrange the sleeping accommodation for you three." Robin said. A short while later the group was escorted to the castle. Kanzashi and Tatenashi stared in amazement at the beautiful castle as the group walked through the halls.
"Here is your room." The maid said as the group arrived at one of the rooms. Seth opened the door and was greeted with a large bedroom. Inside the room were three beds for them.
"Tomorrow, if you wouldn't mind, I'd like to have a discussion with you three." Chrom said as he bid the group farewell.
"Of course, we'll see you tomorrow, Exalt." Seth promised and Chrom left. Once the blue haired prince was gone, Tatenashi fell face first onto the bed.
"This mattress is so soft." Tatenashi exclaimed. The beds were leagues softer than the ones they used at the chief's home. Kanzashi sat down on her own and Seth flopped back allowing himself to relax.
"So can I get another massage?" Tatenashi asked as she laid down next to Seth.
"Eh? You gave Onee-chan a massage and didn't offer me one Master?" Kazashi said said disappointed and Seth groaned.
"I should've expected this." Seth thought and Tatenashi patted the spot on the other side of her. Kanzashi happily laid down next to her onee-san and Seth worked his magic.
Meanwhile with Chrom and Robin
"Robin, are you sure inviting those strangers is a good idea?" Chrom stated and Robin held his hand.
"Were fortunate enough that Seth and his companions intervened, or we would have suffered greater losses. I can tell they're not bad people. But I want to keep on eye on them until we know their true intentions." In truth Robin was trying to see if these strangers had some sort of connection with the recent account of the Risen appearing and the strange phenomena reported by the Halidom.
"You're right, I don't think there are evil people but we must remain vigilant." Chrom said as he and Robin retreated to one of the rooms. Inside was a maid tending to a newborn child sitting within a cradle.
"Milord, Milady, welcome back." The maid said as she saw the two enter the room.
"How's Lucina doing?" Chrom asked.
"She's been fed and taken care of, the young princess has been a delight." The maid said as she gently rocked the cradle.
"I'm glad she's been no trouble." Robin said as she moved closer to the cradle. Her newborn daughter cooed as she looked at her mother.
"Good night my sweet Lucina." Robin said as she kissed her daughter's forehead. Chrom gently embraced his wife.
"Don't forget about me." Chrom whispered as he kissed Robin.
"Never." She said as she wrapped her arms around his neck. The two shared a tender kiss before they departed to their bedroom.
End of Chapter
Author Note:Hey guys how have you been? I had to rewrite this chapter a few times as the first edition was around 40k word as I let myself ramble on and on and had some future kids appear but they weren't utilized right and I didn't like the ISes I gave them so, back to the drawing board with them and need to define their characters more. I was gonna have 4 future kids appear but I'm gonna limit it down to two since that seems more manageable since the cast of Fire Emblem awakening is large and it's gonna be difficult trying to juggle a lot. At least I got a few great ideas leading up to the invasion of Valm I can use. Also not sure if you saw but the first chapter was rewritten, it was a rough first chapter I'll admit and I cleaned up some things and expanded it a bit. I'll release the rewrite of chapter 2 before chapter 80 comes out so it will be a nice surprise. Till next time!
