Late at night after Maui has fallen asleep she notices Moana sitting on the end of the boat before getting up and going over.
"Hey. What are you doing up this late?" Alexis asks as she sits beside Moana.
"Oh um I'm just thinking is all. I'm nearly at the end of my journey. It's just been a lot." Moana says as she sighs.
"I hear that. So what do you plan to do when our journey ends?" Alexis asks as she looks at Moana.
"I plan to return home and teach my people everything I've learned. My family will definitely be happy to see me." Moana says.
"Yeah. Maui and I will probably just travel around." Alexis says as she looks down.
"You don't seem very happy about that." Moana says as she looks at Alexis curiously.
"I'm not. I love my adoptive brother but I'm a wolf shifter. I love to explore. It's part of being a wolf I guess." Alexis says.
"You want to go exploring?" Moana asks as Alexis nods.
"Yeah. I want to see other islands and just see as much of the world as I can." Alexis says as she smiles.
"Wow. That's really amazing." Moana says as she smiles.
"Thanks." Alexis says as she smiles at Moana.
"So why don't you go exploring?" Moana asks curiously.
"I can't. Maui is kinda my only way around. If he's stuck somewhere than I am too. I have no wings and I can't just swim extreme distances. So what choice do I have but to stay?" Alexis asks as she looks down.
"I'm sorry." Moana says as she gives Alexis a sympathetic look.
"It's alright. So how about you?" Alexis asks curiously as she looks at Moana.
"Well I'm kinda dreading going back and becoming Chief. I don't want to disappoint anyone." Moana says as she looks down.
"I don't think you will. You seem pretty strong to me. You're definitely very determined. I think you'll make a fine leader." Alexis says as she smiles reassuringly at Moana.
"Thanks Alexis. That means a lot." Moana says as she smiles.
"You're welcome." Alexis says.
"Would you ever consider wanting to come to my island?" Moana asks curiously as Alexis looks at her curiously.
"Your island?" Alexis asks curiously.
"Yeah. There's all kinds of places to see on the island. I could show them to you. And I can show you my favorite places on the island. We can even share a meal together. If you wanted to of course." Moana says as she smiles kindly.
"That sounds nice Moana." Alexis says as she smiles at Moana.
"It does sound nice. I wouldn't mind going exploring with you sometime." Moana says shyly.
"I'd like to go exploring with you too. It sounds like fun." Alexis says shyly.
"It does. Well anyway I'm going to head for bed Alexis. Are you going to head to bed soon?" Moana asks as she stands up.
"Nah. I think I'm going to stay up for a while longer." Alexis says before Moana sits back down.
"Than would it be okay if I stayed up for a while with you? I think it might help my nerves." Moana says.
"Of course. I don't mind the company." Alexis says as she smiles kindly at Moana.
"I don't mind the company either." Moana says happily.
