"Why do you keep smiling at me like that?" Moana asks as she notices Maui and Alexis are smiling at her.
"I figured it out. You know the ocean used to love when I pulled up islands... Cause your ancestors would sail her seas and find 'em. All those new lands. New villages. It was the water that connected 'em all. And if I were the ocean... I think I'd be looking for a curly-haired non-princess... To start that again." Maui says.
"Aww that's sweet." Alexis says as she smiles at Maui.
"That is literally the nicest thing you've ever said to me. Probably should have saved it for Te Fiti." Moana says.
"I did. Moana of Motunui... I believe you have officially delivered Maui and his sister Alexis across the great sea." Maui says as the group arrives at their destination and sees the lava monster Te Ka nearby before Moana hands Maui the stone.
"It's time. Let's get going." Alexis says as she and Moana watch as Maui begins fighting the lava monster in attempt to get past with the stone.
"What are you doing?" Maui asks as he comes over seeing Moana trying to get closer.
"Finding you a better way in!" Moana says.
"We won't make it!" Alexis says.
"Turn around!" Maui shouts as Moana ignores him and keeps going before the group takes a nasty hit and is sent flying in the boat by Te Ka.
*Timeskip*
"Is everyone okay?" Alexis asks.
"Maui?" Moana asks as she looks at Maui.
"I told you to turn back." Maui says angrily.
"I thought we could make it." Moana says.
"We?" Maui asks as Alexis and Moana see his hook is badly damaged.
"We can fix it." Moana says.
"It was made by the gods. You can't fix it!" Maui says.
"Next time we'll be more careful. Te Ké was stuck on the barrier islands. It's lava so it can't go in the water. We can find a way around." Moana says.
"I'm not going back." Maui says.
"We still have to restore the heart." Moana says.
"My hook is cracked. One more hit and it's over." Maui says angrily.
"Maui..." Alexis says.
"Without my hook I am nothing." Maui says.
"That's not true! We are only here... Because you stole the heart in the first place." Moana says.
"Moana!" Alexis says as she looks at Moana.
"No. We're here because the ocean told you you're special... and you believed it. Goodbye Moana. I'm not killing myself nor am I putting my sister in danger... So you can prove you're something you're not! The ocean chose wrong. Come on Alexis." Maui says.
"No." Alexis says sternly.
"What did you say?" Maui says as he looks at Alexis in surprise.
"I said no Maui. I'm staying with Moana." Alexis says as Moana looks at her.
"So that's how it's gonna be huh? Fine. I'm out of here." Maui says angrily.
"Maui wait!" Alexis shouts as she sadly watches Maui leave.
"Why did you bring me here? I'm not the right person. You have to choose someone else. Choose someone else. Please." Moana says as the water takes the stone from her.
"Oh Moana." Alexis says as she hugs Moana.
"You're a long ways past the reef. Guess I chose the right tattoo." A voice says revealing to be a woman's spirit.
"Grandma!" Moana shout as she runs over and hug the woman.
"Hello my dear. Who's this young girl with you?" The woman asks as she looks at Alexis.
"Oh uh this is Alexis. She's a wolf shifter and Maui's adopted sister. She chose to stay with me. Alexis this is my grandma Tala. She's passed on." Moana says as Alexis looks at her.
"She sounds like a good friend." Tala says as she looks at Alexis.
"She is. Listen I tried Gramdma. I couldn't do it." Moana says sadly.
"It's not your fault. I never should have put so much on your shoulders. If you are ready to go home... I will be with you. And from the looks of it so will your new friend Alexis. Why do you hesitate?" Tala asks as she sees Moana hesitating.
"I don't know." Moana says.
"You have come so far. Do you know who you are? You are a brave, strong, and spirited girl. I hope you know that." Tala says.
"Alexis I'm getting the stone and we're trying again." Moana says.
"Count me in. My brother may not want to help but I will. I want to be where you are Moana." Alexis says as she smiles at Moana before Moana jumps into the water and retrieves the stone before the group begins to sail back to Te Ka.
