Bell POV

As I walked away I could feel my anger slowly disappearing as I drew closer to home. Seeing as I was now out of earshot I hunched over and emptied the contents of my stomach on the ground.

My throat burned and my body was shaking. I could feel the sweat on my forehead and the chills running down my back. Did I really just do that?

I thought that this brutality would be a one-time thing. I don't want to be like this I want to save people. I know I have to get my hands dirty to do so but not like that.

Seeing the image of me using downforce again caused me to eject the rest of my breakfast. Feeling my body shake even more I tried taking deep breaths until I felt an unfamiliar hand on my shoulder.

Acting on instinct I spun around putting my arm around the person's neck and pinning them to the wall. I stopped any further attacks when I saw the scared light grey eyes staring back at me.

"I'm sorry I thought you needed help please don't hurt me" I let her go before sighing. Looks like I'm still a little jumpy from the fight.

"No, I'm sorry about that you just scared me," I said stepping back to give her some space. I saw her take a breath as well before she spoke again. "I'm sorry for scaring you" she then saw my hand. "Does your jumpiness have to do with your hand?" she asked pointing it out. I looked down a saw the mangled mess of broken and bruised knuckles. I then hid it behind my back.

"Yeah. Met some unsavory people" I said telling a half-truth. She didn't seem to believe me but didn't push it. "Well if you need someone to talk to just head to the hostess of fertility and ask for Syr," she said walking away. "Why help me," I asked before she stopped at the entrance of the alleyway. "Because you seem like you needed help," she said smiling at me and walking away. "What an odd girl," I thought. I then started to walk back home again feeling a little bit better. Just wish I didn't have to empty my stomach.

I arrived back home a few minutes later and could sense everyone in there. I hesitated to open the door. Would they be scared of me? Would they hate me for what I did? All these questions started to fill my head and I was scared to open the door. I didn't have to however as a golden-haired renard did for me.

"Master Bell," she said as she pulled me into a hug. I then hear a bunch of footsteps running towards me and felt more arms around me. "You're not scared of me?" I asked confused. They all let go and looked at me confused. "Why would we be you did nothing wrong," Haruhime said. I looked over at Regis confused. "Didn't you tell them?" I asked through our mental link.

"I did" was his response before he cut it. I looked back at my familia still a little nervous. "But it was just mindless violence at that point. I had already won I didn't have to go that far"

Aisha made her way through the crowd before putting her hand on my shoulder. "That piece of shit deserved everything that was coming to him" Aisha firmly said. I finally felt the weight on my shoulders fade away before I sighed in relief. "I'm just glad you all aren't scared of me"

"Why would we be we know you don't just go around doing stuff like that," Nazha said. I then let out a chuckle of relief before taking another deep breath.

"Well that's a weight off my shoulders" I then looked around a noticed Miach and Lili were gone. "Where's Miach and Lili?" I asked. "They're in the back so Miach can give Lili her new falna in privacy," Nazha said.

"Must feel surreal getting for new familia members in less than a week huh Nazha" I jokingly asked. She laughed a little before responding. "It's nice having new people join us and it couldn't have been done without you" she reminded me. We then heard the door in the back open and Miach and Lili walk out.

"Everyone please welcome the newest member of our familia," Miach said pride in his voice. Cheers went out and it looks like it's time for another celebration.

Miach POV

Denatus. I absolutely hate it. Sure I get to see my friends. But it also is just one big pain in the ass for a naming ceremony. "Ah, Miach good to see you again," my long-time friend Take said. I turned and smiled at him. "It is good to see you as well Take. How've ya been" I asked as we walked to the hall of the gods "Pretty good one of my children leveled up and I'm gonna do my best to get her a good name. Oh, that reminds me didn't one of your children level up to?" He asked. "Yes, and my ranks have grown quite a bit as well in the last few days" I smiled. Take seeing my happiness chuckled. "Well we'll have to catch up and you can tell me about them and this boy wonder you seem to possess," he said giving me a playful nudge.

"Oh, you wouldn't believe the stuff he's done even if I told you" I chuckled. We then walked into the hall of the gods ready to fight to get out children good aliases. We took our seats next to Hephaestus and Artemis who greeted us.

"I AM GANESHA and I call this denatus to order. Our first order of business. Has anyone heard any new gossip" Ganesha asked getting everyone's attention.

"I heard that a silverback broke out during monsterphelia"

"Oh I heard that too"

"I heard some white-haired kid killed it"

I smiled at hearing the gods mention Bell.

"I heard the Soma familia got wiped out by an unknown attacker"

Oh shit.

"Yeah, I heard the same thing too. They say the captain was hurt pretty bad"

"Eh who cares about Soma's kids they're all assholes anyway. But his wine is amazing" Loki said. "Alright with that out of the way on to the naming ceremony," Ganesha said. Dozens of gods' eyes lit up as the part they were excited for the most had arrived.

"Now it seems the list is very light this time around so this should go by quickly" Ganesha added. "First up is the adventurer Lefyia Viridis. She had reached level four and currently has the alias thousand elf" Ganesha stated.

"I vote we keep the name. She likes it quite a bit" Astraea said holding up her hand. The other gods agreed to this to try and get into her good favor and thus Lefiya kept her alias.

"Alright next up is Mikoto Yamato from the Takemikzuchi familia who has just reached level two"

"Oh she's a looker"

"Hey how about we name her eminence in the shadow"

"No no how about we name her shadow warrior"

"How about shadow walker"

"Absolute shadow," Dionysus said. Odd I don't remember the two of them being friends. A round of agreements went out and this Mikoto was now known as absolute shadow. I patted my friend on the back.

"It could've been worse my friend," I said getting ready for when Bell popped up. More names came and went until we were at the last one and I knew what was coming.

"Alright and now for our final level up for this denatus we have Bell? What no last name" Ganesha asked looking toward me. I shook my head no and saw Artemis flinch next to me. "Alright then well he's reach level two- HOLY SHIT HE DID IT IN TWO WEEKS" Ganesha suddenly shouted. The hall erupted into shouts some calling me a liar some saying we have a new record holder.

"Alright everyone calm down," Ganesha said his voice booming over all the others. "Whether you like it or not we have a new record holder. Thus we should come up with a suitable name" Ganesha said.

"High Rookie"

"Little stumbler"

"Debtors nightmare"

"Oh, there's no way in hell you're naming him that" I yelled.

"Alright geez Miach calm down it was just a joke"

"How about the little rookie," Freya said his velvety voice cutting through all the chatter. Her chin was on her hands and she was leaning forward a little. Now, why would Freya offer a name she rarely does for people that aren't her children?

"Yeah that sounds like a good one"

"A perfect name Freya"

"I agree you're never wrong with coming up with names"

All these gods and they're going up and kissing her ass. With the court now in agreement Bell was now known as the little rookie.

Alise POV

I was sitting on my bed disturbed. Seeing the aftermath of Bell's rampage and what he did to their captain no matter how much he deserved it was troubling. Or no what was troubling was how easily he was able to do it. Yet when I grabbed him and he stared at me with those red eyes. He was angry. Very angry. Yet his eyes also held regret like he hated what he had done.

"You really confuse me Bell," I thought. Wait a minute. Lefiya said that Astraea told her Bell comes from a long line of talented individuals. But how does she know?

She's hiding something. She knows more about Bell than she's letting on and I bet Miach and Nazha know as well. Question is does anybody else know? She had just gotten back from Denatus so I could ask her. But would she tell me? Well, best way to find out is to ask her. I then got off my bed and made my way to her office.

When I reached her office I knocked on the door. I waited a second before I heard her tell me to come in. I opened the door and closed it before I saw a smile break out on her face.

"Hello Alise how can I help you" she joyfully said. I took a seat in front of her before I asked my question.

"It's about Bell," I said.

"What about him? Oh, Alise don't tell me" she teased putting her hand up to her mouth. I sighed.

"You know that's not why I'm here," I said looking away in embarrassment. I heard her sigh before she turned serious. "You're wondering why I changed my attitude towards him," she asked. Well no I hadn't thought of that but It wouldn't hurt to ask.

"That's one of the reasons yes" she sighed before speaking again. "Codsworth can't predict what Bell will do since he's such an irregularity. Thus his advice was to treat him with kindness for the best possible outcome" she said her voice full of uncertainty.

"You mean to tell me that an all-seeing owl can't predict what Bell will do," I asked shocked. Codsworth predicted what would happen on the 30th floor and it was thanks to him and an unknown adventurer that we were able to survive.

"Yes, that's exactly what I'm telling you. But I have a feeling that's not all you're here for" she asked. "Lefiya told us that you told her that Bell comes from a long line of talented individuals. Yet he said he has no last name. This begs the question how do you know who he's related to" I asked feeling my curiosity growing by the second. Astraea sighed before pinching the bridge of her nose.

"A simple slip of the tongue and you picked up on it. I forget how astute you can be Alise" she then stopped and looked me in the eyes. "I cannot tell you anything about Bell as I have been sworn to secrecy. All I will say is that life hasn't been kind to him before he came here and his goal is to be a hero. That's all I can say until Bell himself tells you what you want to know" she told me.

"Sworn to secrecy huh? So Bell is more important than he looks" I asked seeing if I could get any more information. "More important than you could ever imagine" Astraea replied.

Bell POV

"I hope your alias is something dumb," Regis said. "And why is that," I asked him a smile on my face. "Because I can make fun of you for it" I rolled my eyes at him before we heard the door open. We turned around and saw Miach was back.

"Where's everyone else?" He asked seeing as it was just me, Regis, and Nazha at the shop. "I sent the others out to go and sell some potions while we have a conversation with Bell" Nazha said as she was cleaning the counter. I knew what she wanted to talk about and right now I felt like a kid in trouble.

"Well before all the serious talk do you want to know your alias Bell" Miach asked a shit-eating grin on his face.

"What did you do," I asked narrowing my eyes at him. He chuckled. "I didn't do anything little rookie," he said his smile getting wider.

"What that's bullshit I ain't even little" I yelled. I heard Regis laughing next to me while Nazha was giggling. "You haven't grown an inch since you were twelve little rookie," Regis said before laughing some more.

"Oh shut up you haven't grown at all in the last 200 years" I spat back. "Yeah, cause I'm a wolf dumbass I'm done growing" he replied before laughing again.

"Alright Regis calm down we can make fun of Bell later," Miach said though it sounded like he was holding back laughter as well. Regis knowing what we were gonna talk about stopped laughing and stood up straight.

"You're wondering about the first time I did something like that," I asked. Seeing a series of nods I continued.

"I was 12 when it happened. I was in the woods by myself hunting when I came across it. It was a giant cage in the middle of the woods full of girls my age. They didn't have any clothes and were dirty. But I took one look at them and knew they were already dead. I guess I blacked out because the next thing I know there was fire all around me and about 30 men were unconscious all with burn marks or broken limbs. None of them were dead as far as I could tell. That's when my aunt found me along with gramps. Gramps took me away from the scene while my aunt stayed behind most likely to kill those men and bury the girls somewhere" I explained my mind plagued by the sight of those girls who I couldn't save.

Would that have been Anya and Allen if I had gotten there too late as well? I then felt a comforting hand on my shoulder. I looked up to see Miach had moved closer to me. "I'm sorry you had to go through that. But you did nothing wrong ok" he gently told me.

"Yeah, I know. I just feel like I failed. I know I can't save everyone but I want to at least try ya know"

"I know Bell and we'll be with you every step of the way"

"Yeah besides if we lose you how am I gonna use your good looks to get female customers" Nazha joked. I chuckled at that feeling the feeling of failure leaving my body.

"Well, now how about we start getting ready for dinner I bet the girls will be hungry when they get back," Miach said clapping his hands together.

Aisha POV

"They're hiding something from us. Something involving Bell" I said keeping guard at the stand with Lena to make sure no one harassed Lili and Haruhime.

"Well, it must be a pretty big secret if master Bell hasn't told us yet" Haruhime gently said. "You think it's because they don't trust us," Lena asked.

"No they do but I guess it's not their secret to tell" I replied. "Must be some secret than" Lena replied.

"Lili thinks we should wait until master Bell is ready to confide in us. He has only known us for a few days now"

Lili wasn't wrong in her statement. Haruhime and I have known Bell the longest out of the four of us and we've only known him for a week. Wow, it took him less than a week to capture my heart. I then glanced at Haruhime. Less than a week for her as well.

"So miss Lili how are you liking it in the familia," Haruhime asked.

"Lili likes you better than her old familia. You're nice and don't do that to me" she said referring to the horrors she had experienced during her time with the Soma familia.

"Lili you were there when Bell attacked the Soma familia what did it look like," Lena asked. Lili froze for a moment while I glared at Lena. I was about to chide her before Lili spoke.

"It was scary. Master Bell was angry. Very angry to where he reduced the familia to broken bodies. Yet he did it to protect me. To protect us so while he was scary I'm not scared of master Bell" Lili replied albeit a little shaky. I chuckled a little.

"We'll Bell has an unpredictable way of fighting" I felt a smile spread across my face. "I remember when we fought I couldn't predict if he was gonna punch me use magic or cut me," I said smiling at our battle.

"Is master Bell good at magic? I know he used ice magic to help with my busted lip when he found me" Lili asked.

"I couldn't give you an honest answer Lili. Because while we were fighting I could feel he was holding something back" I replied.

"I felt that as well" Haruhime added. Lili knew of how we joined the familia. She knew of our circumstances and didn't judge either of us. Now that she was a part of our familia people would have to go through us to get to her. But they'd first have to get past him.

"Oh it looks like we're sold out," Haruhime said snapping me out of my stupor. "Well let's head back for dinner Lili is hungry"

We then packed up the stand and headed home.

Well, more of Bell's last has been revealed. Along with the fact that Alise is now aware that her goddess is hiding something from her about Bell. Aisha and the girls have a little bit of bonding time while also concluding that Bell is hiding something. It was also revealed how the Astraea familia wasn't wiped out. Even though Alfia mentioned she saved them in chapter two they were more ready then they were in canon.
