I twirled my wand in my hands, feeling bored. I couldn't seem to sleep even though I felt the heaviness in my eyelids.
Snow was drawing a missing poster of her dad. She smiled holding it, "It looks just like Papa." She looked in the mirror and sighed. "Papa won't recognize me." She stated, her chin resting in her hand.
She scooted the seat back and tried taking the shoes off. I glanced over at her as she struggled but finally got them off. Falling back on the fancy bed. She sighed in relief but gasped as someone knocked at the door.
"I'll get it." I got up, giving her time to get the shoes. I cracked open the door a bit, peering through at the blonde dwarf who looked slightly disappointed that I opened the door.
"Would you two like to join me in a moisturizing mask?" I blinked, glancing back at Snow who was putting the shoes back on. "Ummm,"
Red came up behind me, "Oh, thanks. But we are so.."
I looked back at the dwarf, "Tired! We're super tired." Snow nodded along.
"Are you sure? It's very important to take care of your skin." I started closing the door as he continued trying to look through. "Positive!" Snow said before it was fully shut.
"But this is the finest French recipe meant to hydrate skin! It is made of French poopee!"
I giggled lightly, "Papa?" I looked over to see Red climbing out the window. "Snow? Err, R-Red! What are you doing?" I climbed out after her as she ran off down towards the woods.
"Snow, why are we out here?"
"I think I saw Papa!" I tilted my head as she called out for her dad. I sighed and started scanning the forest for anything. When I looked back Snow was gone. Great.
Grabbing my wand, I whispered "Lumos" I looked around with the light of my wand.
"Red? Where'd you go?" No answer. I huffed, I turned to go look for her but was stopped by something in my way. The hell? There was nothin- oh wait, it's just a little green goblin.
"Merlin." I frowned at the little blue glow stick who was glaring up at me in return.
"What'd you do with Red Shoes, witch?" I rolled my eyes at this stupid little fool's audacity.
"She ran off. I was going to go look for her before you so rudely interrupted." I walked away from him, I heard him scoff in the background before he ran to catch up to me.
We walked in tense silence as we looked for Red, I could feel him burning glares through the back of my head. I rolled my eyes and sighed dramatically, causing him to send another glare.
"What?" He snapped.
"Why must it be like this?" I asked, keeping my eyes on the trees.
Silence.
"What?" He asked, confusion clear in his voice. Then he scoffed, "You're a witch! And I know you're planning something. If you hurt any of my friends or Red I'l-"
"I've done nothing to you! Nothing at all. I may be a witch but I've never hurt anyone that didn't deserve it. You're such a self-righteous idiot!" I snapped, looking back at the green man.
He looked extremely offended. He spluttered, making me roll my eyes before stomping off.
"Let's go find Red!"
Just then I heard a scream. It sounded like Snow! I threw a quick glance at Merlin before running off in the direction I had heard the scream. The sound of footsteps indicated that he was following.
I could see a faint glow of a lantern in the distance, but then it went dark. I ran faster.
When I spotted Snow she was cornered by what looked like a giant wooden bunny. I raised my wand, ready to cast a spell. But a blue glow cut me off, magical lightning shot past me. The bunny was shocked, the lightning covering its body. I rolled my eyes, running to grab Snow. I pulled her along as she asked, "What was that? Lightning?"
Merlin had run up to her right, "Actually, it's called magic. I do it."
Snow glanced at him, "Really? Then do some!"
Merlin went silent, I glanced over to see if he was still there. Sadly he was, but the sight of him tripping was worth it. I heard the stomping of the bunny hopping, it was gaining on us too quickly.
Merlin stopped, turning to face the bunny. I stopped with Snow, "Keep running, and whatever you do, don't look back." Ah, he was doing the classic heroic move to impress the beautiful girl thing. My eyes are getting tired from all this rolling they're doing.
Either way, I gently pulled Snow's arm as she looked at Merlin. "But we can't leave without you."
"Yes, we can, Red. He's got it, let's go!"
"You're looking back. Don't do that."
"But-" Snow sighed as I pulled at her arm, she finally budged, and we ran a bit further. Then Snow stopped. I turned back to look at her, "Red!"
The bunny hopped over Merlin. Did he hop on him or over? I hoped it was on. That would've been epic. I nearly giggled at the thought but grabbed Snow as the bunny hopped towards us. We kept running until we were cornered between the bunny and a rock wall. I stepped in front of Snow, wand at the ready as the bunny took one big hop. It stopped in front of us, though it didn't seem to have any intention of attacking. I stood still as it stood there menacingly and stared me in the eyes.
The running of footsteps was heard and then a yell. Both Snow and I looked up. Arthur looked at his green hand in shock before he gracelessly landed on the bunny's face. The bunny backed up, trying to get the dwarf off. It tripped before hitting its head on the rocks and passing out cold. Arthur seemed to be trapped under the arm of the large bunny.
"Arthur!" Snow ran over to him, "I got you!" She tried lifting the arm. When I went to help I noticed the green man was pulling it down every time she lifted it. I deadpanned, cursing these little green simps. The male species was something else, that's for sure.
"It's no use Red Shoes! I'm slippin' away. Not much time."
I bit my cheeks, trying not to laugh. "Just... need to... use that core of mine..." Snow pulled the arm with all her might, "Oh, I used to be able to... bench two fifty!"
"Before I go, how about a farewell kiss?"
Hans and Jack came running from the forest before I could do anything about that last remark. "Red Shoes! Marcella! Thank goodness you're both safe." Hans stopped with his hands on his knees. Jack looked up at Snow, "Do you need CPR? I'm basically an expert." I shook my head in disappointment, crossing my arms. "And don't worry, I brushed my teeth." He reassured before holding up two fingers, "Twice."
Snow shook her head, "No, No, No. I'm fine, but Arthur, he's stuck." The looks on their faces told me he'd probably done something like this before.
"Would you get up?" Hans rolled his eyes, looking down at his friend.
"What? He's not hurt?" Oh, Snow. Hans shook his head slightly, "Only his pride."
Jack leaned over, "Seriously Arthur? You need to find a better way to hit on girls." Arthur got up with a saddened look on his face. He cleared his throat and brushed himself off with a smile. He met Red's disappointed glare and his smile dropped as he looked away, pretending not to see her. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed a light in the trees. Loud stomping came after it as it got closer.
"Stand back! I may have to risk my life." Arthur said, spreading his arms out. I raised my wand slightly, ready to attack if needed.
The large wooden robot stopped in front of us. The top hatched opened and out popped the triplets.
"Someone call for three inventors?"
"For three geniuses?"
"That sounds like us!"
They all looked at one another with large grins.
Arthur rolled his eyes and crossed his arms, "Everyone came runnin' to help, great, just great."
"Everyone except Merlin, that is." Oh right, Merlin. Almost forgot about him.
"Ah! Super, there he is now." Hans pointed to Merlin who was running up to us.
"Where have you been? Something awful could've happened to Red if I hadn't shown up." Arthur scolded Merlin. The mage looked up, panting, "You? Don't even go there! I saved her first." Merlin breathed out, looking at Snow, "Right?"
Snow stepped forward, smiling in relief, "I was worried about you."
"I was worried about me too." Merlin smiled, before quickly saying, "B-but mostly you."
"No one needs to worry," Arthur gave his friend a blank stare before smiling at Snow. "Arthur's here. Please, my lady." He gestured for her to walk ahead, "Um... Okay." Merlin looked disappointed and saddened as they both walked off, the others following.
I walked behind Merlin, too tired to converse with any of the others. Arthur continued trying to impress Red as we walked.
"You shouldn't go into the forest by yourself. It's a nightmarish landscape, fit only for bloodthirsty warriors like myself." He flexed before frowning, "...And squirrels."
What did the squirrels do to this poor man?
Snow glanced down at him, "I thought I saw my father. Turned out, just to be that big bunny." She gave a nervous sigh.
"Well, if you ever make such a dangerous and weird mistake again, just know that I can protect you." He ran in front of Snow, and the group stilled.
"That's very kind."
"And if you really want to express your gratitude, you can..."
He puckered his lips, pointing to them.
*Slap!*
I squeaked, holding back laughter as best I could.
"Oh, I am so sorry. That was much slappier than I intended it to be."
Arthur chuckled nervously as the others giggled softly, "Maybe an apology kiss then?" He smiled, puckering his lips and closing his eyes, waiting for something that was never gonna happen. Red walked past him as the others started on again, Hans whooped as Jack laughed out "Bravo mon ami!"
Merlin laughed as he leaned in to say, "Nice try."
"Red Shoes!" Arthur yelled, running off after her as I started walking again. We eventually made it back to their home. I immediately walked to the bedroom, Snow following close behind. We said goodnight to each other and got some sleep.

"Marcella."
I hummed, "Marcella!" My eyes opened and caught Red's stare. "The guys are ready to look for my dad! They said they have plans already." I nodded, yawning before hopping to my feet. I fixed my hair, grabbed my bag, and then we walked outside. As we walked out of the door, Red handed me one of the wanted posters she drew up.
We grouped up with the dwarves and Snow gave out some of her pictures. "Here you go. I drew these up last night." She said, handing them out.
I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes as they talked about the drawings. "I can't tell if this drawing is terrible, or really avant-garde." Snow smiled at Hans, "Oh, my neighbor's a great art teacher. Pablo Picassover?"
Merlin smiled as he inspected the drawing. "One thing's for sure, daddy's on the big side... of big. You must take after your mother." Snow shook her head lightly, "No, I look a lot like Papa... Oh! Yeah, my mother. Gosh! We... exactly! Twins!"
Arthur stepped forward and grabbed the wizard's shoulder, shaking him lightly. "Alright. You know the plan. Let's move." I don't know the plan. "Deploy! Thunderdwarfs are go!" Merlin went to walk forward but Arthur stopped him. "And where d'ya think you're going? Your post is right there, with Marcella."
My eyes widened before I scowled, was this guy an idiot? Did he really think leaving me here with some little prat who has beef with a teenage girl was a good idea?
"Goddamit," I whispered under my breath as the group left me and Merlin behind. Maybe I could ignore his existence entirely and just go back to sleep. The group had rounded the corner of the rocks and I turned on my heel, heading back inside.
"Ahem!" Merlin cleared his throat loudly. I closed my eyes. Of course, he wouldn't make this easy. I sighed as I turned to face him, "Yes?" He tapped his foot with his arms crossed, "Where are you going? You're supposed to be watching the bunny with me."
I looked at the bunny who gave a deadpanned stare at the both of us. "I don't think he's going anywhere," I observed with a frown. Merlin just rolled his eyes and pointed to two barrels near a bucket of carrots, "Sit. You're staying where I can see you. I won't leave a witch unsupervised in the base!"
It was too early for arguments, I had my bag with me. I could read a bit or pull out my sketchbook, I haven't drawn in a while. The fresh air would be nice. I glared for a second before heading over to the barrel and sitting.
I pulled out my sketchbook and a sharpened pencil as Merlin hopped up on the second barrel. I looked through the sketches I had of my friends and family as I decided what I wanted to draw.
Time passed as I sketched a few pictures of different magical creatures, a Hebridean Black Dragon, a Niffler, and a Mooncalf.
"What are those?" Merlin leaned over, pointing to the last two creatures. "Oh! That's," I started, pointing to the Niffler. "A Niffler, a small creature that likes collecting things," I moved my finger to the other one, "And that's a Mooncalf."
"I've never seen or heard of these creatures."
"They're from my world-" I paused after I said these words. I had searched for help before, trying to get home. Everyone thought I was crazy or ran in fear. I was losing hope of a way back but this group was raised in this world. Perhaps once we found Snow's father I could actually get help.
"Your... world?" He looked at me with a brow raised. I pursed my lips before nodding, "I know it might be hard to believe but I'm not from this world."
I tensed up as he narrowed his eyes, looking for any signs of lies.
"I'm not lying!" I stated defensively, frowning.
He put his hands up, "I didn't say you were!"
I rolled my eyes and muttered to myself, "You were thinking it."
"Your world, is it much different than this one?"
I glanced over at him, slightly surprised he even asked about it. I pondered over how I would answer, "Kind of. Most of the creatures there don't exist here. The magic is a lot different. The islands are different too, from what I've seen."
Surprisingly, he seemed to be actually listening as he nodded along. "How- How did you get here?"
I shrugged, "I haven't figured that out. As far as I know, I was heading to my room. And then I just woke up in the middle of a forest here."
He frowned, "Well, perhaps we can help you find a way back?"
"You'd help a witch?"
He rolled his eyes and huffed, glancing away from me, "Well... I guess you're not so bad..." He admitted as he munched on a carrot he had picked up.
Before I could reply the bunny made a noise causing us to look over. It eyed the carrot.
"What? You hungry?" Merlin waved the carrot around as the bunny's eyes stayed trained on the carrot. Merlin made a fake throwing motion, "And fetch!"
The bunny glared at the blue mage. Merlin seemed to get an idea as he looked at the carrot and grinned.

"Whoohooo!"
I huffed and resisted the urge to open my eyes. I shook my head as my grip on the bunny tightened. "This is stupid."
"Don't be such a baby!" Merlin shouted back at me. "We're almost there!"
I squinted one eye open to look forward at the fast-approaching town. We came to a stop and hopped off.
I pulled my hood over my head as Merlin walked through the gates with no hesitation, the bunny following behind. I wasn't very eager to go waltzing into a big town like this. I took a deep breath and jogged to catch up to Merlin as I glanced around from under my hood.
