Logan has never believed in God. Seven years old and responsible for his sister's death, he had no choice but to believe that everything was random. The alternative was unthinkable.
Now though, as he gets older and more aware of his own mortality, he finds his mind returning to the age-old question. Is there anything after this?
What will his legacy be when he's gone? His children betray him. His brother no longer talks to him. He has little Greggy and Tom as his sycophantic lapdog, but no other family to speak of.
Is there a better place?
Logan's lips curve into a cynical smile.
If there is he won't be going there.
