The bewitched slip of parchment that the Ancients had given the heroes stated that Denise and Tucker were to spend the day together bonding. They're sitting at the Nasty Burger, silently eating their meal. Tucker described the backstory regarding the Nasty Burger to Denise to assure her the food was fine and it was just a prank that resulted in the fast-food joint's name. She still didn't look entirely convinced. Regardless, she had ordered her meal and was doing her best to enjoy it.

However, it wasn't easy with how Tucker kept making eyes at her. The sixteen-year-old cheerleader wasn't comfortable with him ogling at her body. She knew she was smoking hot with her highly fit body from all her cheerleading. Her attire was a hot pink halter top paired with jet-black skin-tight leggings. Her curly jet-black hair was in a stylish pixie cut. Hanging from her ears, she had sizeable black hoop earrings and shiny acrylic nails with French tips. In other words? She was one smoking hot babe!

Taking a calming breath, she spoke up, "Tucker? Would you please be so kind as not to look at me like that? I do not want that type of attention," she stated firmly.

Tucker flushed, realizing what he'd been doing. "Sorry, Denise. I'm a guy!" he sputtered a frantic apology to the desirable girl before him.

She narrowed her coffee-colored eyes at him. "That's not an excuse, Tucker. There is no excuse for unacceptable and disrespectful behavior. Just because you're fourteen and a guy isn't a justification for those manners. There isn't any justification for inexcusable conduct, regardless of anything else."

"Sheesh, what's your problem?" Tucker questioned as he backed away. The techie started to sweat slightly from how the older girl glared at him. He'd never been admonished like this before, and it terrified him.

"Look, Tucker. We're here to bond; part of that is helping each other. Therefore, I will give you practical advice on treating people respectfully. Also, hopefully, wean you off the tech some," Denise informed him as she flicked a curly lock out of her face.

"Okay? I don't understand what you're gabbing about," the younger boy stated, baffled by her statement.

"Back home, I'm known as the Peace Valley Matchmaker. I'm terrific in romance and assisting individuals in uncovering their perfect companion," the cheerleader commented proudly.

"Okay?" the bespectacled teen looked still perplexed. Again, the heroes still needed to forge stronger bonds. Which again was the reason the Ancients were pushing them to bond today in the first place.

Denise again took a few deep breaths before starting with the younger Black teen. "Okay, you should first know that everyone deserves basic respect. So please remember to respect them as equals and not act like someone is property. Everyone deserves to be treated with consideration as a person and an individual. Remember, everyone has their own thoughts, feelings, and personal boundaries," she spoke slowly to him to guarantee he understood her.

Taking a sip of her diet soda, she continued, "So keep in mind you don't own nor are you entitled to anyone, that everyone again has free will. Treat them kindly as friends; being friends first is the most beneficial method to build a lasting relationship. Also, make sure you can have a two-way conversation. A genuine relationship isn't simply about how someone looks but who they are inside. Hence make sure you get past the initial infatuation," before Tucker held up a hand to stop her.

"Could you pause for a minute? I want to get Patrica out to record this," as he reached into his backpack to retrieve his PDA. "Okay, can you repeat what you said? And then move on from there?" he requested politely.

So Denise slowly repeated herself, making sure to enunciate everything. She then went on to explain it was crucial to have some common ground. It was alright to have different interests, yet, there should be some similarities rather than none in any relationship. She also reminded him when it came to dating. One should take things slow and steady, let them evolve naturally, and one shouldn't try to rush or force it. Allow your relationship to develop at its own pace.

Tucker discovered this bit of advice threw him for a loop. The fourteen-year-old couldn't help but wonder where the older Black girl had gotten all her information. Still, he listened quietly as she continued. The cheerleader also pointed out every relationship was a two-way street. It required give and take on both sides—proper communication and respecting each other's boundaries. Also, address any concerns immediately to resolve.

Furthermore, people shouldn't try to change others but accept them for who they are and not what they want them to be. Also, ensure both gave the other a fair chance to see if they liked another interest. "Wow, you're quite intelligent! Is it because you're a girl, or did you get this all out of those girly magazines?" he voiced in a bewildered tone.

Denise gave a small sigh before divulging the source of her wisdom. "I've been sexually harassed in the past, Tucker. Furthermore, I've also thoroughly researched the subject, so a bit of both. But I do hope covering the basics will help you. However, I think your most significant difficulty is your tech addiction."

"What's wrong with me appreciating technology?" as he fiddled with his red hat.

Denise gave him a small smile before clarifying, "Because you seem to get along better with computers then people. If you want a genuine partner, you need to understand people. So you might want to spend an hour a day away from technology. For example, go for a short walk around the block. Stop and smell the roses. Try to talk to the various people on your walk. So that you can wean yourself off your addiction to technology," Denise suggested kindly.

"That's going to be extremely challenging. My worst nightmare is no technology!" confessed the younger boy.

"The human race survived for centuries before the internet, smart devices, and AI. So I'm sure you can handle one hour a day away from it," the cheerleader pointed out reasonably.

"Okay, I'll do my best. Let's start now. You know, go for a walk? Just take time, as you said to stop and smell the roses," it was getting closer to sunset.

"Well, seeing more of your town and hopefully not running into ghosts would be nice. So yes, a walk sounds nice," as they gathered their things and threw their trash away before heading out the door for a walk before Denise returned home.
