THE PRINZESSIN'S PRINCE
Chapter 1: The Prince's First Visit
Delusional. That was how Fischl's parents chose to describe her as. A teenage girl with exceptional talents and gifts, but who unfortunately decided to live a life bubbled in a fantasy, instead of heading out and exploring what was real. It wasn't as if they didn't want her to dream, it was more simply because…
They were worried. That's all. Plain and simple.
Kids would often ridicule her. Adults would eye her as an oddity. For the longest time they had attempted many tries into persuading their daughter to hang the eyepatch. However, despite all of their chastising, she proved time-and-time again to be rather persistent. Refusing to yield within every circumstance that they brought it up.
At some point, they gave in. Choosing instead to tolerate with her antics so long as they saw that her sanity was still intact.
Which, kind of what lead them into this moment.
They both watched with horrified faces as their daughter stared through the window. She had been sojourning at that spot for quite awhile now ever since she was done with tidying the entire house, preparing supper (a feast), and setting in the table.
The reason, as she told in her own tongue;
"Thy prince shall be arriving soon to share a meal this evening along with those whom has raised thee ever since first emerging into this world."
They instantly sought Oz for translation.
"Mein Fraulein has a boyfriend now. And his coming over tonight for dinner."
Shook they were. And her mother scolded herself and her spouse for ever letting her delusions to arrive this far. They come to ask her in regards to this 'Prince', and she relayed that he was a handsome fellow who was an heir to a family of prestigious title. That he was one of the few last disciples of a legendary martial art that has long since grown obscured. That he was a master of both sword and pen, and whose words could rival that of her own. And that he was a man of justice first and foremost, achieving countless deeds in the name of righteousness.
Needless to say, they worried for their daughter's mental state.
They asked for some further information about her 'Prince."
"Umm…H-Honey." Said her father. "C-Could you please tell us more about this um…'prince' of yours?"
"Most certainly." She exclaimed with the proudest of expressions. "Mein prince is a gentleman of great charisma. Who has long gathered a band which he is most fond of spending his days with. A sorcerer who could exile any evil without raising a single finger. A renowned cook that which has made covenant with an ancient fallen deity. And a maiden that bridges the realms of life and death."
They looked into each other. Now becoming even more concerned.
"Uhh…he seems umm…quite wonderful. What else can you tell us about him?"
"His tale is often told within a kingdom beyond seas. In a land where both humans and fairies coexist. In a nation ruled by a queen who could command the thunder at her behest."
Ah. So she's referring to Inazuma then. Though, the last they sojourned there, they had heard of no such story nor rumor that describes such a character.
They gulped. Not knowing on how to address this. They once more glanced at one another for the last time, silently agreeing to tell her the truth. Together.
"Amy, honey."
She flinched upon hearing her be called with such name, but she still responded nevertheless. She left her gaze from the window and turned around to meet her parents. She knew that look, she recognized it all too well.
Fischl swallowed a lump down her throat.
"I'm sorry. But your-this 'prince'. His not real."
Ugh. The archer appeared offended at such a claim. "He most certainly is."
"No. His not." Said her dad. "Fischl. Please listen to us. His not real. There's no prince. And you're not a prinse-"
"But-"
"Amy. Please." Now came her mother. "We're only saying this for your own good. There's no prince. There's no noble swordsman. And there's definitely no one who could 'banish evil' without lifting a hand."
"But he can. I mean… his friend can!"
"Amy."
"No. please. Listen."
"Amy."
"But dad-"
"A-"
"Mein Fraulein." Just as her folks were about to shout, her fateful familiar interrupted, calling for her. "His here."
"What?"
A knock was heard on the door, causing for the couple to jump. Fischl ran towards their entrance. Fixed her hair before opening the doorframe. There they saw a young man with blue hair, sporting high-class attire from Liyue, and carrying with him a bouquet. All whilst having a nervous smile on his face.
"Hi umm…" The boy began. "Did…I come at a wrong time?"
Its a rarepair, I know. But I thought it would be fun to try a story surrounding them. It came to me after noticing how many parallels they shared before trying to check if their were people who shipped them.
