The sound of a door opening is the last sound you would want to hear when your home alone and playing games while talking to friends over a voice call.
'The hell?'
I thought as i leaned sideways to see if anyone was heading to my room, guessing that my parents arrived back home i decided to end the game session and go out to greet my parents.
"Alright boys, i think it's about time we ended this session"
[Already? we aren't done helping jayzi with the stages you know, or are you just gonna go and look at raiden mei fanarts eh?]
Laughs sounded out after the sentence was said with me just shaking my head with a small smile on my lips.
"You do realise it's almost 2am, we have been at it for 5 hours and not to mention we do have morning lectures tomorrow"
What followed was a loud silence which lasted 3 seconds.
[Shit.]"
Everyone said together with me letting out a loud laugh.
"Oh well, goodnight boys."
With that done, i get up from my chair turning off my pc in the process.
Looking around my room there were quite a lot of anime and game related merch there, mostly of the game called honkai impact 3rd.
Heading out of the room i heard whispers and objects being moved, peaking around the corner where the noises were coming from, at that moment all i could think was
'Shit, there are robbers in the house'
One of the masked men noticed me peaking, quickly shooting a bullet from a gun that i failed to notice.
I managed to move out of the way of the bullet as it passed by harmlessly
"Fuck, the kid saw us"
Lowering the gun form the initial position, motioning the others to get ready.
What happened next was a complete blur but in the end,
*BANG*
At that moment my chest erupted with immense pain, dropping down to the floor, blood pooling under me.
"...oh shit"
"WHY DID YOU SHOOT"
"HE SAW US , HE WAS GONNA CALL THE COPS ON US, WHAT WAS I SUPPOSED TO DO?!"
"JUST GET OUT OF HERE"
I could faintly hear them running out the door, as the light left my eyes, darkness overtaking my vision.
The pain in my chest from the bullet lessening slowly, my body becoming numb.
'Huh, so this is how i go'
'Killed in such a lame way'
'I don't wanna go just yet, i didnt even say goodbye to my parents'
Slowly i can feel my final breaths leaving my body
'My friends... i hope they can manage without me'
'Sad i wont be able to play honkai anymore'
And came the bitter-sweet embrace of death...
With that i died for the first and the last time.

*"Wake up already you drama queen"*
Jolting up and looking around, i was in a normal looking room with a completely white figure in a hoodie and jeans sitting on a backwards chair
*"Finally, done with your beauty sleep?"*
getting up from the chair and extending a hand for me to take
"Where the hell am I?"
Taking the offered hand and pulling myself off the floor, just noticing the pain my chest had completely disappeared
*"Well lets just say.. you died"*
Hearing those words set off a chain reaction in me
I could feel myself getting dizzy, a sudden urge to throw up had introduced itself, leaning onto the wall for support i couldn't help but ask
"Seriously, just like that?"
*"Yep"*
I tried to get myself to calm down but one thought kept popping up
"What happened to my family and friends?"
*"Oh them, dont worry about them"*
Waving his hand in a dismissing manner he continued
*"Your parents arrived 4 minutes after you got shot, but you had already passed till then, well time skip to 2 days later a funeral was held where everyone dear to you had come, even your friends"*
After hearing that i finally relaxed
"So what now?"
I asked not knowing what to do now
*"Well i dont know how you didnt realise it yet, but you are to be isekaied to a fictional world form your memories"*
Hearing that i couldn't help but have mixed feelings about it
On one hand my long dream to be isekaied was right infront of me, but
On the other hand will i would be lucky enough to be taken to a world where i would survive more than a week in?
*"Ok, enough chit-chat now off you go"*
a portal opened besides me
*"also another thing"*
making me look at the white figure questioningly, he continued
*"You get to keep your memories, so make sure to take advantage of that fact and make sure to live your life to the fullest"*
Hearing what it had to say i readied myself to go but remembered on the last moment
"WAIT, do i get any powers?"
*"Right forgot about that, you know what im feeling good today, ill give you a skill-set system, figure out how it works by yourself now bbye~"*
