Lucas couldn't believe what Mario had shown him. Ness was never going to ask him for help. He thought he was Ness's best bud. He thought they had something special. Pit and Villager, seriously? He even told Luigi, but not his best pal. What was he to Ness? Just some side friend? It sure seemed like that. If Ness was going to be like that, then what was the point in being his friend. He didn't want to just be a side piece. Clearly Ness cared about Pit and Villager more.
Lucas couldn't stop the tears from coming out. He ripped the pictures of him and Ness. They were friends for so long, but now it was nothing but a memory. A long painful memory. Today going forward Lucas no longer viewed Ness as a friend. It hurt to do this, especially since he had a crush on the ravenette. He needed to destroy his feelings. Ness was most likely straight anyway. He didn't have a chance to begin with.
Mario wanted Lucas to side with him, but Lucas was just too emotional to even think. Lucas was at the party and saw everything that happened. Mario simply wanted the blonde to just keep quiet about that event. Not that Lucas was going to say much in the first place, he despised drama. However, Lucas didn't agree with what Mario was planning. He still cared about the puffball. Kirby didn't do anything wrong. In fact, she is the victim. Turning into a girl must've been traumatic for the puffball. If anything, Lucas just wanted to stay out of the way. He wanted to help Kirby, but truth to be told, he is afraid of Mario. Maybe if his 'best friend' had told him about his amazing plan, Lucas would've been down to help. Now all he felt was betrayal. He didn't have enough confidence and energy to help the pinkette. All he did now was train for the tournament and cried on his pillow when he got back.
….
Kirby sighed to herself and stood up. Yep, this is what she expected. Now that she told Little Mac the truth, he wanted nothing to do with her. It didn't hurt her that much, but she did think about how awkward it would be to train with him now. Would he even want to still train her? How unfortunate. She would have to rely on herself again like usual. It's fine, it's just… Oh well. She needed to focus on the tournament anyway. She doubted she would win in this form, but honestly she still wanted to try. Little Mac has done enough for her anyway.
She began walking towards the door, but she felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned around to see Little Mac blushing hard. What is he doing? He's blushing. Does this mean-
"Kirby I… I don't care!" He screamed.
"W-what!"
"I still want to be with you. I don't care that you're the puffball."
"Little Mac… What if I turn back though?"
"W-we can make it work!"
"You really think so?"
"Yes, I just… I want to be with you. I feel happy when you're around me. I don't care if you turn back. I fell for your personality not your looks."
"What if I just go back to my old self?"
"Do you really think that would happen?"
"I-it might. I'm not sure."
"Here, I have an idea. I still want to date you, but if you want we can take things slow."
"So you still want to do this?"
"Yes."
"What if I forget about us once I turn back?"
"We'll deal with that when the time comes."
"But…"
"It'll be ok. I just really want to give this a shot."
"Just go with the flow, right?"
"Exactly!"
"You're just like me! I do that too."
"See? We are meant to be."
"I guess we are!"
"D-do you wanna… spend the night?"
"Yes!"
"A-awesome! Ok, well I got board games we can play and uh, we can watch a movie."
"Board games!"
"Hahaaha! Alright alright. Don't be sad if you lose though. I'm a god at every board game."
"Bring it on!"
…..
Mario walked up to Ike. He didn't know if he should tell the swordsman about the event that took place at Villager's. Ike wasn't the most reliable. Although, Mario was curious if Ike remembered that night. If he did, then he would have to get rid of him too. He didn't know much about Ike, so he is considered dangerous to his plan.
"Ike, Hello," Mario greeted.
"Huh, oh hey what's up Mario?"
"Well uh, I just-a wanted to say that uh, well do you remember being at Villager's party?"
"Yeah! It was crazy."
"Oh you know about what happened to Kirby?"
"Yeah, dude. She's hot now!"
"Ah, I see."
"Have you told anyone yet?"
"Nah, honestly I haven't even seen her since the party. Maybe if I saw her more, I would talk about her to my friends."
Ike is too hard to read. He hasn't told anyone yet, but what if he does later? This is not acceptable. Mario might have to kidnap Ike.
"Hey, Mario dude, when did you get here?" Radiant Ike asked.
"What?"
"Bro, I was just about to hit the gym and hit on some chicks. Wanna join?"
"N-no, I have-a girlfriend."
"Bro, just cheat on her. Who cares."
"Ike… um, did you forget what we were talking about?"
"Bro, you just showed up. Also I'm Radiant Ike."
That's right! Ike has split personalities. There's Ike the calm sophisticated one, and then there's Radiant Ike the mega chad bro. Everyone thinks Ike is a lunatic. How could he forget about Ike's credibility? It's incredibly low. Nah, Ike wasn't a problem at all. Who the hell would take this motherfucker seriously. One less person to deal with. He needed to go find the other smashers who attended the party.
Checklist:
Sonic
Ness
Ike
Pit
Villager
Ritcher
Link
Lucas
Luigi
Captain Falcon
All the ones that were checked have already been taken care of. Sonic and Ness were sealed away in a cave. Lucas was broken. Ritcher gives no fucks at all. Luigi is his bitch boy. Ike is insane. Link is a mute pussy ass bitch. Captain Falcon claims would be seen as a joke since no else could vouch for him. Honestly Pit wasn't a problem either. No one took that silly angel seriously. He eats food off the floor for fucks sake. Now with Ness gone, Pit couldn't stand a chance against him. The angel is a follower. He can't think for himself. All Mario needed to do now was talk to Villager. If Mario doesn't get the result he wants, he'll just threaten him.
Mario only kidnapped the ones that were a big problem. Sonic was going to full on attack the plumber. The hedgehog also has a good reputation. He couldn't just let the blue blur run free. Ness was a problem. That plan he wrote would've worked. Luckily Luigi had told him everything. Even if Mario had most of the people on his side, Ness was still there at the party. The teen knew what happened. He would use evidence to get the others to turn on Mario. The plumber couldn't risk that. Ness is too dangerous to underestimate. The teen will remain there being Mario's pet for the rest of his life.
Speaking of his new pets, Mario needed to feed them. He went to his room and grabbed two cans of cat food. He let Peach know that he was going on his night hike. She gave up trying to go with him. In exchange, he's been spending more time with her and he's been taking her on dates left and right.
….
Zelda hasn't left Link's side ever since he tried to break up with her. She made sure to watch his every move. Where was he going? Who was he going to train with? She tried to find this mysterious girl that he liked, but he was careful. He only talked to other more women except his precious Zelda. It was just like before, but worse. She was on edge, and he was too scared to look at any other women now.
Little Mac and Kirby hung out at the smash hangout lobby. They talked about this new tv series they recently got into. It was called Terry's Universe and Roy vs the forces of evil. Who knew Terry and Roy had an animated series.
Zelda and Link ended up walking to the lobby. Link spotted Kirby and froze. She's with… Little Mac. They looked so happy talking about whatever. He couldn't help but feel his heart shatter in a million pieces. Kirby chose that guy. She… Why him?! He lost to fucking Little Mac. The idiot who abused Samus.
Little Mac and Kirby heard someone humming. They turned around to see Zelda and Link. Kirby's heart dropped. Oh god, this is not good. She was going to tell Little Mac that they should leave, but she hasn't even told Little Mac about that event. He would be confused as to why she wanted to rush out of there. This is bad, if Zelda sees her, will she assume? She told Little Mac that she needed to head to the bathroom.
Link saw Kirby running away. He knew that Kirby did the right thing. Zelda didn't know about the pinkette, but if they were to meet, then something bad might happen. He might stare at the pinkette too much and Zelda would figure it out. Good thinking, Kirby. Even though it pained to see her run away. They couldn't even hang out in secret because Zelda was always with him now.
Zelda greeted Little Mac. The boxer happily greeted her back. The two started talking about the tournament. Link just sat on one of the chairs and quietly listened. He didn't speak a single word. Everything was going great until Little Mac decided to…
"Training for the tournament has been exhausting, but honestly I've been having a lot of fun. I've been training Kirby and she's been picking it up so fast!" Little Mac beamed.
"Training Kirby? Where has that little puffball been?"
"Oh, she's a human girl now."
"I'm sorry, what?"
"Yeah! I didn't believe it at first either. Although last night we…" Little Mac blushed.
"What did you two do last night?" Link butted in.
"We uh, haha! Well… we kissed. It was pretty magical. Literally, she still has her copy ability somehow."
"Y-you kissed?!" Link's heart sank.
"Wait, I'm sorry I'm still confused," Zelda said.
"It's complicated, but just know that I've never been happier."
"Wait, so you two are dating?" Link asked.
"Yeah! I'm really happy!"
"What happens if she turns back?"
"As long as she remembers me, everything will be alright."
"What if she doesn't?"
"I'll figure it out."
"Tch! You sure? You seem like the type of guy that just cares about looks. You seem interested now, but as soon as she changes back, you'll most likely dump her."
"Link!" Zelda yelled.
"What? It's true!"
"Why are you acting like this? You seem defensive about her. Is she the one you fell for?"
"Wait, what! You told Zelda you liked someone else?!" Little Mac said in shock.
"Shut up! Listen, I just care about my friend alright."
"So it was her…" Zelda trailed off.
"No! It's not her."
"Link, I'm not stupid. The moment you started talking in this conversation screams that she was the one who took your heart."
"Zelda please just stop."
"I want to see her. Where is she?"
"You sound threatening. I'm not gonna let you touch my girlfriend!" Little Mac stood up.
"I just want to talk to her."
"You guys can talk, but I swear to god if you do anything to her, I'll make sure you end up in the ER."
"Link, are you just gonna let him talk to me like that?" Zelda faced her boyfriend.
This was too much for Link. If Little Mac didn't open his fucking mouth, Zelda would've never figured out that Kirby was the one who truly stole Link's heart. The boxer really fucked things up. He hoped that the two would fight in the tournament. He wanted to give Little Mac a piece of his mind. He stole Kirby from Link, and now he's creating more drama. This bastard. Link hated him with all his heart. Hated him. Hated him. Hated him.
"We should go, Zelda," Link grabbed her hand.
"NO! I want to see the new Kirby girl."
"Why? You're the one I'm with."
"I just want to see her. I want to know what she looks like."
Kirby counted the minutes. It's been 40 minutes. Zelda and Link most likely left by now. They probably dropped by to say hi to Little Mac. Kirby thought it was safe 20 minutes ago, but she wanted to be sure. 40 minutes is plenty enough. Time for her to go see her boyfriend. She decided to finally head back.
When Kirby arrived back at the scene, Zelda pointed at her. Her eyes were wide. She looked like a crazy person who just found treasure. Kirby looked at her in shock. She thought the two were gone by now. What on earth were they talking about?
Link gave Kirby a disappointed stare. He mouthed 'I'm sorry.' Oh no, they were talking about her. Zelda found out about their secret. The fact that Kirby and Link have been hanging out.
"Kirby! Is that actually you?" Zelda asked.
"Y-yeah."
"So uh," She gestures all over Kirby's body. "How did this happen?"
"Oh uh, Palunetna did this to me."
"Oh is that so? WOW! You are absolutely stunning. Very beautiful indeed."
"I know! That's not all though, she's super sweet. She's into boxing and we're just now getting into these tv shows. We have so much in common," Little Mac added.
"Wow, Kirby honestly you sound like a dream girl," Zelda complimented. Her eyes never left the pinkette.
Kirby felt extremely uncomfortable. Zelda's tone sounded sarcastic the entire time she complimented her. She knew that Zelda hated her guts. She just needed to stay calm and not panic. Don't panic. Everything will be ok. She looked over at Little Mac. Okay, she needed to tell Little Mac and everyone that they needed to go.
"Well, it was nice meeting you Princess Zelda, but Little Mac and I should-
"HAHAHAHA! Y-you're not thinking of leaving right?" She gave Kirby a crazy ass face.
"It's just that-
"Wow! Link, she's so polite! No wonder why you fell for her instead of me."
Kirby's heart sank. Oh god, she figured it out. Little Mac stood up. He looked pissed.
"So you're still after my girl, huh?"
"W-what! No! Listen, let's just all-
"Oh so you two talked about this?" Zelda interrupted.
"A little. Kirby invited us to a get together. Link was being all defensive about Kirby even though he had you. It didn't seem like Link cared though."
Zelda slapped Link across the face. She then glared at Kirby with a menacing look. Kirby took a step back. Luckily Little Mac stood in between them protecting his lady.
"Link… Let's go back to my room. I need to speak with you," Zelda spoke.
He rubbed his slapped cheek and nodded.
"Zelda, wait!" Kirby called out.
"What the fuck do you want, whore?!"
"Link and I, we're just friends. I promise, we never did anything."
"Kirby, if I ever see you again, I hope it's at the tournament."
"Zelda…"
With that, Zelda grabbed Link's wrist and pulled him away. Little Mac and Kirby watched as the sad couple left from their sight. The two gave each other worried glances. Kirby felt like crying, but Little Mac was there to cheer her up. He took Kirby to a cute cafe that's near the smash mansion. It was sweet of him, but the memory of Zelda slapping Link across the face made Kirby angry. She didn't get angry much, but that was unacceptable. (I'll see you at the tournament, Zelda)
