"A sealed demon from the Book of Zeref?" Ben asked after Roubaul told him about his new job.
"That's right. Years ago, this Etherious caused a lot of destruction after it was summoned. Long story short, this demon was sealed away 10 years ago by a mage using a forbidden technique that claimed her life, Iced Shell. This demon's name was Deliora." Roubaul explained.
"Deliora, huh? I've heard about him. He's a very dangerous and powerful demon. But what's the problem if he's sealed away? Is the seal getting weaker?" Ben asked the old man.
"No. The problem isn't the seal. Someone is taking Deliora for an unknown reason. It is feared that Deliora will be released by that person. Deliora is also known as the immortal demon who can't die from natural causes. So he might survive being trapped in ice for 10 years." Roubaul shook his head.
"So I need to track this person down and stop them from releasing Deliora?" Ben asked.
"No, the location has been determined. It's on Galuna Island. You know Makarov from Fairy Tail, right?" Roubaul questioned back.
"Yeah, that short old man is easy to recognize." Ben replied.
"One of the mages from his guild stole an S-Class quest related to that island. The job involves a curse on the island. But lately, he found out that the curse might be the side effect of the Moon Drip ritual." Roubaul said.
"Moon Drip?" A surprised Ben asked.
"It seems you know about it." Roubaul said.
"Yeah, it's a ritual that uses moonlight to deactivate any spell. They must've used it to deactivate a very strong spell that can't be deactivated by normal means. Don't tell me?!"
"You're right, and that's what Makarov fears. He has sent an S-Class mage, Erza Scarlet, to bring them back. But a surprising fact surfaced, the moon drip might be used to break the seal on Deliora after 10 years." Roubaul said.
"How can he be so sure?" Ben asked.
"He's not. He's just worried that it might be the case and so am I. If Deliora is released, there will be a catastrophe, and it might affect us." Roubaul said.
"But from every other possibility, why'd he assume the moon drip would be used to unseal Deliora? Isn't it too precise?" Ben asked, confused.
"It's because there are traces of Deliora being transported there. Besides, even if it's not Deliora, he still might ask for your help. That job is still an S-Class job because Moon Drip is being used. There's no way someone uses Moon Drip to deactivate simple spells, so it's still dangerous. You can say that it's a parent's worry." Roubaul answered.
"Hmm, fine, that makes sense. So this job is from Master Makarov, huh? A guild master giving a job to another guild? What a strange old man." Ben muttered.
"Well, he is an old friend, so it's not that strange." Roubaul said.
"Wait! Is he the one you're referring to when you asked for your friends help? And it also seems he knows about my Devil Slayer Magic because he wouldn't ask for my help if that wasn't the case, right?" Ben asked, looking at Roubal with suspicion.
Roubaul became nervous and looked to the side as he whistled. This pissed Ben and he engaged in a childish fight with the old man. The old man told him to keep the Devil Slayer Magic a secret, but he told someone else about it.
"Don't worry, Ben-boy, Makarov is someone that we can trust, so he won't share this secret with anyone else." Roubaul said.
"Yeah, but you're the one that can't be trusted now." Ben replied, pissed off.
"Well, I told him this after he asked me for some advice about the incident. I need to help him. He's my friend, after all." Roubaul apologized.
"Alright, alright, fine, fine, whatever." Ben said, still somewhat pissed off.
"Then, I will leave this job to you. Ah, he also asked to keep your identity a secret and not use Dragon Slayer Magic." Roubaul added.
"Tsk, too many rules. Fine, fine." Ben said as he left the guild hall grumbling.
Roubaul can only sigh as he stared at Ben. "I should've told him the job."
Ben went to the field and met up with the girls. He told them he had a job and would leave immediately. Bella ran over to him, but he stopped her. He was instructed to keep his identity a secret, so he can't take Bella with him.
"Sorry about this. You can blame the senile old man." Ben said as he rubbed Bella's head.
"No prob." Bella sadly stated.
Ben smiled and walked off the field to take his car there. He stored all his belongings in the Spatial Storage Mark. So he can move anytime and doesn't need to prepare anything again.
He took his car, Light Runner, to Hargeon Port. Galuna Island is located to the south and the closest town from there is Hargeon. Ben drove fast in his car that can traverse any terrain.
After 5 hours, he arrived at Hargeon Port. He tried to find the Fairy Tail, but they left town yesterday. So Ben gave chase on Light Runner that converted into a ship.
To be able to sail on the sea, the Light Runner needed to transform. The front wheels open up and turn into boards that make the car float while the rear wheels turn 90 degrees and become the turbines that push the car.
Ben drove the ship-car fast on the sea and he was very excited. This was the first time he used Light Runner on the water as a ship and it worked perfectly. He also doesn't feel any motion sickness, so he knows this trick works.
Following A.I Chip's navigation system, Ben arrived at Galuna Island that evening. He came ashore on the beach and walked off his ship-car. Then he looked at the sky and saw a purple moon.
"There's really a moon drip ritual underway." Ben said.
He looked at the sky for a while to figure out where the ritual is taking place. But it's difficult to see it from the beach. He needed to see it from a higher elevation where he can look all over the island.
"Let's move immediately." Ben said as he looked at Light Runner.
Ben stored Light Runner in the Spatial Storage Mark on his left palm. Now he has 2 marks, they're on his right and left palm. He dedicated the mark on his left palm to store Light Runner when he's on a job, while the other mark was for everything else.
After storing Light Runner, Ben changed his outfit to hide his identity. Now he wore a black cloak that covered his whole body and a blank white mask. He also has his red sword on his back to show that he is a magic swordsman.
Then he went to higher ground to get a better view of the island. He didn't want to come in contact with the Fairy Tail mages unless it was necessary. The best way for him to hide his identity is to avoid being noticed.
Ben erased his presence and climbed the rocky cliff near the beach. He went to the nearest peak and spread his magic sense to avoid any danger. After arriving at the nearest peak, Ben looked through his binoculars to see the island's condition.
"Ooh, so that's the village, huh? The villagers seem normal to me. Maybe the Moon Drip's side effect hasn't- Hmm? Wait! What the hell?!" Ben exclaimed in surprise after observing the villagers transform into demons.
Ben frowned after seeing that. "Is that even a side effect of this ritual?"
