Chapter LXXV: Captain Marvel.

Last Time.

"Don't be a party pooper, kid. You're one of us now. A monster." Warwolf said before Nina punched his arm.

"Jerk."

"Ow! What? What?"

"Benito, I know you've been through a lot. I'd like to offer you a safe place to stay while you figure things out. If you don't mind bunking with a bunch of weirdos, that is." Jasper said to Benito as Warwolf looked at the others.

"I think he's talkin' about us. Hey, you talkin' about us?"

"Uh... thanks, but… I don't know. I just want to be by myself for a while."

"Let me handle this one, Sitwell," Hulk said before walking to Benito. "I know how you feel, Benito. I was on my own for a long time. People said I was a monster, and I believed 'em. But then I found a home with a bunch of heroes, and I realized I get to choose what I am. I know those guys ain't exactly the Avengers, but maybe you should give 'em a shot."

After he accepted, Naruto took the kids to their home before explaining, Strange won't rest until he finds a cure for Benito.

Now.

Night.

"What's our status, Black Widow?"

Captain America asked Widow as they, Falcon, and Shinobi were in an Aven-jet that was falling. "Is it as bad as it looks?"

"It's worse. Flight control systems just went down and took engines one and two with it."

"Falcon, can you re-calibrate the stabilizer?" Falcon replied typing on a holo keyboard

"Won't do any good. The stabilizer's on fire, too."

"This is Captain America! Mayday! Flight controls are unresponsive. All air traffic, clear the area!" Cap said over comms before a small airplane got in front and used a tractor beam to pull them into the Avenger tower.

"They're coming in for a landing," Hawkeye said to Thor and Hulk.

"Yeah, a crash landing. Thor!"

"Right with you, Hulk!" He dropped down and created a wind tunnel with Mjölnir as Hulk got in the way of the jet.

"Thanks for the assist! I got it from here." Hulk said before catching the jet and having the heroes jump out.

"Should've known Hulk would have our back." Widow said as she stood from her landing. "Even with his front."

"Thor had your back as well."

"Good timing," Tony said as the plane landed showing advanced tech on the wings. "I put a call in last week. The help's arrived."

"Wait, Tony, you don't mean…" Cap stopped as a woman in a jacket jumped off.

She has fair skin, and short blonde hair and is wearing a blue and red bodysuit with gold lines on it.

"Come on, the last time your help fixed the Aven-jet, I couldn't get it to go slower than Mach 2!" He said as Tony smiled.

"You just hate that you got beat at arm wrestling."

"Captain America fought valiantly until his arm was slammed through the table by Captain Marvel!" Thor said as Cap and Marvel saluted.

"Hey, guys. Good to see you all happy, healthy, and not-exploded. How are you doing there, Army? Lose your lunch a little?"

"I'm doing just fine, Air Force."

"Tony's told us all about you, Captain Marvel," Falcon said, working on the jet as she walked up to him.

"Falcon, I've heard of you. Now, how did you guys mess up the Aven-jet?"

"I don't know. I think something must have fed the computer faulty airspeed data." He replied as she quickly worked on the wires. "I have a theory, but it could take days for..."

He stopped as she turned around.

Done. I'd love to stick around and tell old war stories, especially about Helsinki, right, Hawkeye?" She asked the archer. "But I've got serious business." She stopped as a tech orb floated up.

"That serious business wouldn't happen to be the Kree, would it?" Tony asked as his armor flew to him.

"The Kree. Aren't they-"

"Aliens. Scientifically advanced, very, very unfriendly." Marvel replied as a red cowl formed on her face leaving her air free and her hands and eyes glowed. "Especially after I kicked their butt a few times. Those are their drones. Guess they're not here for peace negotiations." She finished throwing her jacket off.

"Avengers, Defense Plan Tango!"

Naruto threw kunais hitting multiple drones as they flew up before Marvel jumped off and flew. "Puny Kree." Hulk snorted as Falcon had his plate come down.

"What do they want?"

"From the looks of it, her," Hawkeye replied as she destroyed more drones and then flew over. "So, Captain Marvel, is there anyone in the universe you haven't ticked off?"

"This is the Kree. They're born ticked off. But also, probably, no." Marvel replied before dodging shots and flew off.

Cap got on a bike and flew after to start attacking others to help out. "I got you.

"Ha! I let you have that one!" She said before he threw his shield to hit one behind her.

"And that one I took!" He yelled as the others dropped down as Iron Man looked at them.

"Falcon, trace their ionic signature. Widow, Thor-"

"Whoa. I appreciate the help, but this is my mission, and it's solo. A team will just slow me down."

"You doubt our speed?" Thor asked Captain Marvel who flew as Naruto looked at Iron Man.

"So glad you called in help, Tony."

"Falcon, Shinobi, Thor, with me. Everyone else, stay on guard against any further Kree attacks." Cap ordered as Widow looked at the archer.

"What happened in Helsinki?"

"I do not want to talk about it."

Up ahead, Marvel looked over to see Captain America get beside her. "I knew you couldn't help yourself, Army."

"The Kree are a serious threat. It's exactly what the Avengers are for."

"Aw, that's cute." They landed at an alley before she lost her owl "Falcon, fire up your tracker. See if we can pinpoint their location."

"I heard the Kree captured you and altered your DNA. They gave you your powers?" Falcon asked as he started tracking.

"Yeah, that happened."

"And how does that feel?"

"Let's see... I can fly, I'm indestructible, and I shoot energy beams out of my hands. Feels pretty awesome." She replied before his tracker beeped.

"Something coming from inside."

Thor walked up with Mjölnir at that. "Then let us open it up and get to the heart of the matter!"

"We'd better split up and recon the perimeter before-" Cap stopped at Marvel and blew a hole in a wall.

"Perimeter breach. Let's go, boys!"

Multiple turrets came out before Naruto pulled his crossbow out and shot an EMP bullet at each one before a muscular Kree came up via hologram., leaving half of his face scarred.

"Captain Marvel, gracing us with your presence."

"Galen-Kor." She said looking up. "Haven't seen your nasty-looking grill in a while."

"I've been recharging, planning, thinking about how you destroyed my whole squadron. You and I have unfinished business. Your friends may have protected you earlier from my attack drones, but they won't be able to do so aboard a vessel of the mighty Kree Empire."

She chuckled at that. "Is that an invitation? Because I'm afraid I have to decline."

"Oh, but you've already accepted." He smiled at that before the building shook.

"The warehouse is the ship. Get out now!" Cap yelled out before Galen smiled again.

"I look forward to seeing you. Very soon."

"Look for an escape hatch!" Cap yelled as they floated.

"Too late, we're docking!"

"Where are they taking us?" Naruto asked as Marvel hacked a screen.

"Looks like the Kree homeworld."

"Any of these diagrams show the way to the bridge?" Falcon asked as Thor spun Mjölnir.

"When the only way out of this chamber is a locked door? No diagram needed." He hit a door only for nothing to happen. "Huh?"

"They'll have to come in here eventually," Cap spoke as Marvel looked at him.

"And wait for them to come get us? "We need to be proactive here.

"Falcon, help me set up an ambush/Falcon, help me override the door controls." The two spoke as Falcon used a flechette to hack the door.

"Well, let me try the door. If it doesn't work, we set up the ambush." Thor and Marvel then opened the door before multiple purple armor floated in.

"Can we get through or do we need to set up an ambush?"

"It worked. Unfortunately for us, I think an ambush is already on."

"Kree Sentries! They're automated guard robots!" Marvel yelled as they attacked having the robots repair themselves.

"The Sentries are self-repairing. This advanced Kree technology is really kind of cool."

"Yeah if they weren't trying to kill us!" Naruto yelled, stabbing one in the head as the others continued fighting.

"Cap! Your aim any better than it was when we fought Hydra in Barcelona?" Marvel asked as Cap flipped and deflected a blast.

"I seem to remember taking out two Hydra snipers on your six."

"Two? Ha, yeah, right! Then that blinking box on the ceiling should be no problem." She spoke as he jumped and threw his shield at the box and had everything shut down.

"Oh, and for the record, my aim can't get any better."

"Did humble Captain America just show off? I like it." She smiled as they went through the door.

"So what happened in Helsinki?" Naruto asked as they floated away.

"I HALO'd in from the stratosphere, rescued Hawkeye, pulled a jumbo jet out of a tailspin, teamed up with Captain America, re-rescued Hawkeye, and defeated a horde of barbarians."

"Barbarians? Like real barbarians?" Falcon asked her as they continued.

"I assume they were barbarians. From the beards. And the smell. Though I guess that could have been Hawkeye."

"Enough with the war stories." Cap sighed as Thor flew to him.

"You are old compatriots with a friendly rivalry, and yet you seem displeased with her."

"Captain Marvel's one of the finest soldiers I've ever fought with, but there's a reason she works alone." He replied to the Asgardian before they got to a large canon with red pods

"Cryogenic chambers."

"There are people inside," Falcon said as Marvel looked over.

"Not just people. Inhumans."

"You don't seem very surprised," Naruto said as she looked at him.

"The new Inhumans have been disappearing, so the National Security Council asked me to investigate since they potentially carry so much power. Now, we have proof the Kree are abducting them from Earth."

"There are a lot of new Inhumans. That's a threat to the whole planet."

"I will free them from their frozen prisons." Thor spun Mjölnir before Marvel put a hand on his shoulder to stop him.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Can't open them here. I've seen this red gas before. It keeps Inhumans sedated, but it's poison to us. We need to get to the ship's bridge to shut it down."

They floated in front and saw sentinels in pods at the door.

"We need a plan," Cap said as Marvel flew ahead

"You got it."

"Wait."

She then attacked the two with Thor as Cap floated over. "Whoo!"

"When I say "We need a plan," that implies that we're going to tell the rest of the team," Cap said, floating by her.

"When you're up in the sky at 600 miles per hour, you act on instinct. Falcon knows what I'm talking about."

"Well, when you're in a foxhole, you learn to depend on your teammates instead of selfishly taking chances and risks. Right, Falcon?"

"You know, your Army versus Air Force rivalry doesn't matter because we're in outer space," Falcon said with a sigh. "So what say we call a truce?"

"The bridge is on the other side of this door, so we can't break it down. Maybe you can hack into it?" Marvel asked before they saw Naruto on the other side. "How did you..."

"I found an access vent right behind you." Naruto deadpanned. "And I didn't tell the team because you're arguing.

They got to the cockpit and saw Galen. "Transmit a message to the homeworld. Inform them-"

"That your mission has failed."

He turned to see the heroes. "Impossible. You escaped my Sentries?"

"We can tell you all about it after you let the Inhumans go."

"Ah, my precious cargo. Once we weaponize their powers, the Kree Empire will be invincible. And as a bonus, I'll bring home our most prized creation… Captain Marvel." He stood up at that.

"Flattery will get you nowhere except a maximum security prison."

"You do not understand your situation." A female Kree floated over at that as he pulled a gun. "My people will praise me for bringing them Captain Marvel, dead or alive."

They attacked before Galen tackled Captain America. "Give it up, Galen-Kor! Your plan failed.

"The Kree never fails. We simply adapt!" He hit a pipe having the heroes cough before leaving. "Get to the fighters. We'll reclaim the ship once they are no more."

He left with his crew as Marvel opened the airlock, sucking them out before she and Thor flew them back into the entrance. "Impossible! You still live?" Galen asked via hologram.

"Looks like it. And now we've got your ship. How about that?"

"I'll obliterate my own ship before letting it fall into Earther's hands!" He said before attacking as each hero got to a chair and fired at the ships

They continued fighting until Captain Marvel flew out and stole a ship and attacked Galen herself before Thor flew out to help. He then attacked the sentinels on the ship before seeing Galen hit the ship as missiles fell. He explained it'll kill anyone that's not Inhumans before Marvel called the Avengers to take care of them.

Avengers Tower.

"Hey, guys, still not-exploded, I see."

Marvel saluted the ones that stayed as Naruto walked out of the ship rolling his arm. "Just came back for my ride."

"While you were gone, I made an upgrade to your backup system." Iron Man said as he looked back.

"You upgraded my plane? Without asking me?" She asked, opening it and saw an Avengers card. "An Avengers ID? You call this an upgrade?"

"There's no better backup than having a team that's always got your back. Don't worry. You can consider us reserves." Captain America said, saluting her.

"Call me anytime you need me, Army. Or I'll call when I need you." She said getting in before seeing a drone.

"Guys, we missed a drone!"

Hawkeye then shot it and looked at Marvel. "That's for Helsinki."

"You're adorable, Hawkeye."

She closed the hatch and flew off smiling.

Not gonna bash Captain Marvel because I blame the writer(s) for a bad character. I mean I recently saw a comic where Batman didn't stop a store from being robbed because "They have insurance"

Yeah, I think people had the same mindset when his parents were killed "Oh he has millions/billions of dollars, he'll be fine."

F***! (Sigh) Writer's today.

I only decided on using this ep as I was planning on using the Civil War episodes. I will stop at S3 as S4 the Avengers are gone for most and S5 takes place in the 2017 Spider-Man show universe… Same for all of Guardians too from what Executives said… Even if those Guardians showed up in the Avengers show after their show started.

Next to be updated will be Shinobi as I'll start over on publish order.
