"what's the mission about?"
"i wasn't fully informed on the details of the mission but they will be directly given to you by some agents working under the overseer" hearing that the message made a lot of sense now "did they say anything else?" i asked further "yes, they said that the mission will start when you meet up with the agents"
"ok so I'm most probably gonna need that battlesuit" i said, theresa letting out a sigh "well here's the thing, the prototype battle suit given to you and kaito are damaged and yours being the one that was damaged beyond repair" laughing nervously i asked "well do you happen to have an extra just in case?" my response came in a long pause "well yes, but its not the same as the one you used back in nagazora" said theresa uncertainty in her voice "It is still not yet fully developed and may malfunction"
"It's perfectly fine, just get me the blue prints on the knight battle suits and the extra one, I'll use my stigmata to modify it" i said in a confident tone "if you're sure about that.. just come to my office in 10 minutes, I'll inform the science team of this" she said hanging up the phone
"talk about fully taking advantage of your stigmata" i heard himeko say as i put my phone down "I'll be honest, i don't know if i can actually modify the battlesuit but it won't hurt to try would it?" i said extending my arms outwards making himeko giggle "I'll never understand how you can be so carefree even when you don't know if you can achieve something or not" said himeko smiling as she took a sip of the beer can in her hands "we only live once" i said, this time making himeko laugh out loud "that's gonna get you killed one day y'know" said himeko, the atmosphere growing grim at her words "well atleast I'll die beside beautiful ladies like you" i said making the atmosphere go back to normal as himeko laughed again "god, your so cheesy" said himeko with a light blush on her face "proud of it" i said smiling smugly
getting up from the chair as i glanced over to the clock "i should get going now" i said "make sure to not get badly messed up this time around" said himeko "as you say my lady" i said bowing slightly "get going already" said himeko in a mock annoyed tone, pink dusting her cheeks "and you should go sleep already" i said walking into my room
'if I'm gonna modify the battle suits I'm gonna need something to add some style into them with that thought i took out whatever i though would do the job of making the battle suit not look.. too bad
"this should do" i said to myself 'i should tell mei that I'm going out on an mission again'
walking out of my room i made my way towards mei's room,
reaching her room i knocked on the door "coming" i heard mei say, few seconds later the door opened to reveal mei in her pajamas "oh uhm.. do you need something?" asked mei, shaking my head in response i said "ill be going out for a mission again so i thought that I'd tell you that before i leave this time" tilting her head slightly she asked "didn't you do a mission the day prior?" letting out a sigh "this ones from the overseer himself so i gotta accept this one" mei nodding at my words "is kaito or theresa going with you?" she asked "no, I'm on my own this time around, well I'll get going now, goodnight mei"
before i could fully turn around to walk away i was embraced by mei who had her head on my chest, her embrace tightening "please be careful zeren" she said, wrapping my arm around her i patted her head "don't worry I'll be extra careful this time" nodding she let go of me "good luck on the mission" she said "thanks" i said as i started to walk away waving, mei waving back at me 'to theresas office i go now'
reaching theresa's office i saw that the doors were wide open, walking in i saw sakura and theresa on the sofa, theresa's head on sakura's lap as sakura stroked theresa's head with one hand and looking over some documents with another an pleasent smile on her face
knocking on the open door i asked "am i interrupting?" the pair jumped slightly on my sudden question "n-no, your not" said theresa coughing into her hands as to compose herself making sakura laugh lightly "right on time actually" said theresa getting up from the lap pillow walking towards her desk, sakura going back to what she was doing before "i got the blue prints and the battle suit here so you can get started on modifying it" said theresa bringing over the blueprint and the battle suit that was clearly looked like it was not complete "alright just put them here on the table" i said putting down the clothing i brought with me on the table
"why the extra pair of clothes?" asked theresa putting down both the blue print and battle suit on the table besides the the extra pair of clothes "i need something to combine the battle suit with if I'm gonna complete it" i answered as i looked over the blueprint and materials used in the battlesuit's making "so thats how you make a battlesuit" i spoke to myself as i picked up the battle suit giving it a look over taking in all details i could notice "well ill get started now"

an hour later
i stood infront of mirror in the newly modified battle suit "damn i a did good job on this" i spoke up "the stats of honkai resistance and strength enhancement are higher than they are supposed be, considering this is a 4th gen battle suit" hearing that i just smirked "well i suppose complete honkai manipulation helps a lot in that"
the outcome of the synthesis was something i expected to happen, the battlesuit consisted of an jacket that reached till my waist with and mask that covers the lower-half of my face once i pull it on, under the jacket was an somewhat tight suit with purple lines running throughout the suit and on the back of the said suit was a ring that acted as the main source of energy for the battle suit and absorbing excesses honkai energy from my surroundings and from my own body turning it into energy for the battle suit and for my own use effectively working like an power bank of honkai energy
"any ideas on what the battle suit can actually do other than the basic stuff?" asked theresa, thinking about it for a second i replied "not really, I'll have to test it out myself to see what things it can do... wait do we have a place where i can test out this battlesuit?" i asked getting a nod in response "we can go there now if you still have some time left before you have to leave for the mission" glancing at my phone seeing that it was about to be 1am "i have time" i said simply "ok than follow me, we'll be heading to my personal training area"
hearing that i was reminded of what she was talking about 'oh that place, i sure do hope that a fucking raid boss doesn't spawn cus god damn that's gonna be hard to beat and i will have wayy too many things that I'll have to explain to theresa' i completed my internal monologue, sweat-dropping slightly
"alright so how are we gonna do this?" i spoke out loud as i stood in middle of the huge chamber "just think about something to tryout the battle suit on" nodding i closed my eyes as to think but no more than a second later i heard the air being sliced apart as something was being swung at me, reacting quickly i leaped backwards as to avoid the swing
looking at the person responsible for the swing, almost tripping
the person was none other than me? "kay now that your awake, lets get this shit over with quickly" said the other me as i just looked at him with an deadpan expression "what" asked the clone "well you see, the last thing i expected to appear was myself" now came the turn of the clone to deadpan
"can we get this over with already?" sighing as i conjured an sword made of honkai energy "atleast tell me if you know how the battle suit works" "bro, I'm literally you, i have no idea" "i guess if i learn something you learn something" "probably, oh well let's fight"
1 hour later
"alright to sum it up, the battle suit has a stealth function, lightning attribute and temporary speed enhancement, did i miss something?" i asked theresa, shaking her head in a gesture of no "nope that about summed it all up" said theresa as i looked over the recording of the fights with myself
"oh also, can i use this place to train and all?" i asked theresa raising an eyebrow in response "sure i don't mind but why if you don't mind me asking" "just the fact that i can fight myself is one of the reasons" an expression of understanding dawns on theresa's face "oh i get it, but you can also fight other people from your memories here" hearing that i acted surprised "wait really?" i asked in a fake surprised tone which theresa didn't notice "indeed, it's quite the place to train"
"now how about you get going to the meeting place of the meeting" said theresa as she let out a yawn "i really want to go sleep now" laughing lightly "well then let's head back to the office and I'll take my leave from there" theresa nodding her head lightly as she let out another yawn
reaching theresa's office we both walked in as we saw sakura on the couch sleeping with a book in her hand, a clear sign of that she passed out while reading the book
theresa moved closer to sakura, taking the book from her hands and closing it, placing it on her desk as she moved back to the couch
theresa picked up sakura bridal style, seeing that i choked on the water i was drinking "what?" asked theresa in a bland tone "n-nothing" i said trying to hold back my laughter "just get going already, I'm heading back to my place" she said as she walked out of the office door 'god that was funny' with that thought i walked out the office and out the building towards my parked bike
checking the time on my phone again it being 2:34am "yep, time to head to the meeting place" hopping on the bike as i hit the ignition, the engine roaring to life and with that signal i rode out the campus grounds towards the main city
reaching the convenience store i parked in the same spot again as i walked into the store and walked to the same isle with drinks "I'll try this one" i said as i picked up a can of what i presumed was an slightly alcoholic drink, paying at the cash register i walked out of the store towards my bike as i leaned on it while i checked the time on my phone again
3:21am
'they should be arriving soon' i thought to myself as i open the can of the alcoholic drink taking a sip in the process, savoring the taste as i felt my throat burn up a little it "mm.. i should buy more of these.." i said to myself as i went to take another sip "i didn't expect you to be a drinker " i hear a familiar voice say from behind me, the one to say that being rita
turning around to see durandal and rita walking towards me i spoke up "not quite, i don't drink alcohol that often" i said as i took another sip of the bewrage "I'll never understand why people like to drink alcohol, it smells and tastes too bad" said durandal as she moved a little bit away from me, making me sweatdrop "you learn to enjoy the bitter things in life after you have been through enough" i said coolly as i emptied the can, crushed it in my hand and vaporizing it
'being cheesy kinda fun'
"speaking from experience i see" said rita making me chuckle lightly "i shall not confirm nor deny that statement, now how about we get to the point of our meeting here" at hearing my words both durandal and rita glanced at each other and back at me
"i suppose you were already informed by lady theresa about the mission that you will be talking?" asked durandal "all i was informed about the mission was that I'm on my own" durandal nodding in response "good, now lets head to the drop off point of the mission, rest of the information will be given to you along the way" she completed as she walked towards a limousine that i failed to notice before
"wait a minute, what about my bike?" the pair looked back towards the bike in question as durandal let out a sigh "just follow our vehicle" nodding at that, i got on my bike with its engine coming to life, i waited for bit before i started following the limousine as instructed
we soon entered an aircraft hanger of some sort
getting off my bike i walked towards the pair as i spoke up "this the drop off point?" my words getting the attention of the pair as the one to answer me was durandal "nope, you will be dropped of the location in this" pointing behind her at empty air getting an eyebrow raise as my response "we're gonna fly or something?"
soon a large aircraft bearing the Schicksal insignia appeared out of thin air behind as durandal just smirked
"oh. i see" came my reply, soon all 3 of us got onto the aircraft as it took off, walking towards a desk durandal pressed a button which displayed a image of a city i recognized "now the location will be arc city, the object is to acquire a item from one of the world serpent headquarters while making sure you don't get caught"
'wait hol the fuck up, why am i going into world serpent grounds'
an image of a gem of the color blue appeared "the item is the gem of serenity" hearing that my eyes widened a bit "wait wait wait, do we even have something that can seal the gem properly?" both durandal and rita looked a bit confused
"did you not check what was on that seat?" asked durandal pointing towards a seat which had a dark box on it "ok never mind, we do have something to seal the gem with"
after that i was given the layout of the headquarters and where to find the gem according to the intel they had been given
"do you perhaps fight with fists?" asked rita, shaking my head in response i summoned both raijin and fujin in both of my hands "i prefer katanas" i said as i placed the blades at their respective place on both sides of my waist
back at himeko's house
himeko walked out of her room to grab a glass of water, filling up the glass of water she stood near the table as she saw something glowing in the living room "oh its his swords"
walking towards the blades she tried to touch one of them but before her hand could touch them, both raijin and fujin bursted into thunder and wind respectively which made himeko jump making her yell out a curse due to the sudden scare from the two swords
"what the fuck was that?!"
reaching arc city we moved towards a large compound that looked normal from the outside, hovering above the building the back of aircraft opened to reveal the drop between the aircraft and the building the sounds of the wind and the propellers making it hard to hear anything else
"here, we can communicate through this" said/screamed rita as she handed my an earpiece "got it" i said taking the earpiece and fitting it in my ear
without anything else to say or do, i walked and stood at the edge on the aircraft looking down towards the building which had some guards patrolling around the area 'ok entry point's at north-east side, now i gotta wait for an perfect opening' with that thought lightning sparks surrounded my body as i prepared to jump, seeing the opening about to be made i pulled up the mask a visor forming infront of my eyes
a second later i leaped downwards from the aircraft leaving a trail of lightning behind me
'never thought I'd be fulfilling my goal of freefalling from a high place like this'
getting closer and closer to the ground i activated the stealth function of my battle suit, successfully making myself invisible from any watching eyes
about a few seconds away from crashing onto the ground i spun mid air moving my legs down as to land on them

feeling all the force of gravity dissipate i landed with an barely audible thud on the ground near some guard who were clueless about my landing 'now i just gott-' my thoughts being interrupted by a few individuals walking towards the entrance of the building 'bingo' swiftly moving behind the crowd my invisibility still in effect "we'll have to up the security, AE and schicksal are sending out scouts. got a schicksal one right here" the man infornt spoke to another with him giving orders to some of the other guards as he spoke into a radio with me following the crowd into the building
"{zeren change of plans}" i heard durandal as i heard the sounds of battle through the earpiece "{get the captured scouts and get out of there as soon as possible, the l-}" before she could finish a loud explosion and a roar sounded out followed by static
before i could say or do anything my invisibility ran out with no one noticing as i heard the explosion sound out again from far away with the crowd stopping "take her to the cells" spoke the man in front as the two men that held the captured scouts turned a corner "now then" the man continued, my danger senses blaring, leaping backwards i summoned fujin letting out multiple amounts of wind slashes severing the mans body to pieces, wrecking a good part of corridor in the process "what" i heard the now dismembered head say as the singular red eye went completely dark
'WELL FUCK, THAT WAS GRAY SERPENT NOW THEY KNOW WHERE I AM'
as to validate the statement alarms started blaring as i heard multiple footsteps approaching, thinking quickly i ran towards the direction the scout was taken in seeing some guards in the way i summoned raijin as the already present lightning intensified, the guards noticing me running in their direction open fired in my direction, lowering my body slightly as i got into a stance blasting forward at lightning speeds i appeared at the end of the now charred hallway with all the guards knocked out by either the cuts on their bodies or the force of the blast
moving forward into the building i stopped at a metal door with and number pad lock, not bothering with the number pad i punched the door open being met with a large container that held a small blue gem in it "well damn" moving forward towards the control panel, tapping around for a bit the container for the gem open as i was hit with an wave of dense honkai energy, reaching out to grab the gem but pulling my hand back instantly as i saw the tips of my fingers becoming pale which was soon follow by the purple lines on my battlesuit giving out an glow as i saw the tips of fingers going back to normal
"i already love this battlesuit" coating my hands with an layer of my own honkai i energy snatching the gem and putting it in the box given to me "now off to rescue the scout" turning back and running out the room i see and group of guards ready to open fire at me, narrowing my eyes i got into the stance to blast forward again "out of my way"
a few minutes and some more knocked out guards later i reached the cell holding both the scouts
stopping outside the cell i opened the cell doors gaining the attention of the scout "who are you and what do you want?!" screamed-asked the girl shockingly getting up as she got into a improper fighting stance, pulling my mask down i spoke up "I'm here get you out of here" turning around and pointing at the schicksal emblem on my jacket to show that i mean no harm, at hearing my words and seeing the emblem she let out a breath as she collapsed to the ground clutching her leg shacking slightly
"can u run?" i asked to which she shook her head "i cant even stand properly let alone run" walking towards her i kneeled down "show me the injury" doing as i instructed she moved her hands to reveal a very nasty cut that went from her foot up to her thighs with some visible burn marks and some parts of it being pale
'fuck i cant heal it, i can stop the infection though'
"its infected by honkai, i don't think I'll be able to walk after this" said the girl gloomily, seeing that i moved my hand as to pat her head lightly "don't worry, you'll walk again"
moving my hand over the injury i focused on gathering the excess honkai energy in one spot "you really think so?" asked the girl with hope in her eyes "ill make sure of it" i said with a confident smile, feeling all the excess honkai energy gather up in one spot i absorbed it into my own body and the purple glowed again indicating that the honkai energy was successfully transferred to the battlesuits honkai reserves "now how about we get out of here" i said as i picked up the girl in my hands with her grabbing onto my jacket
"{z- en-, zer-, zeren can you hear me?}" i heard durandal through the earpiece again "loud and clear" "{sigh finally, did you find the scout yet?}" asked durandal as i started to move towards where i entered the building from "yep i did, moving out of the building now" kicking some guards that were in the way as the girl let out an "eek" because of the sharp movements "{ok good, we'll see you at the determined extraction spot}" "got it" jumping over and kicking some guards that got a bit too close
looking down at the girl i spoke up "hold tight, we're about to go really fast" feeling her grip tighten i quickened my pace as the exit came into sight with more guards coming our way, activating the speed boost i blurred past the guards straight out of the building
in a few seconds i was out and far away from the building and near the extraction point as i saw the aircraft come into sight with durandal in her battlesuit with some minor cuts and wounds on her, her attention shifted to us as we got closer to where she was
"ok now that your here we should get going already" nodding i handed the girl in my arms to durandal "oh yea also" i spoke up pulling out the box that had the gem in it "I'm hoping for a bonus because of this" holding up the box that had the gem in it as "I'll keep this on me for now, its still leaking some honkai energy but my battle suit can take care of that" seeing the box in my hands an surprised expression adorned on her face "you managed to get the gem out too?" hearing this i couldn't help but let out a small smug smile
"yep, found it along the way so why not take it?" i completed as i noticed a lack of a certain maid "where's rita?" i asked looking at durandal who was patching up the injury on the scouts leg "she's back at the HQ something came up the overseer called her back to the HQ" "i see" looking around and letting out a breath as i started to move towards the aircraft ready to call it a day and go back home already
"lets go now i still have to tak-" before i could speak further my danger sense flared, turning back i put up a barrier just in time as something impacted the barrier followed by an explosion which cracked the barrier partially
'a fucking rocket out of everything, just who the hell is this'
"hm, a honkai barrier? interesting" i heard grey serpent speak up as he walked towards us, the rocket launcher being thrown to the side as he pulled out an green blade that gave off a green hue "lets see if it can endure a head on attack" spoke the serpent taking a step towards us disappearing instantly

a split second later the partially broken barrier between us and grey serpent shattered to pieces as i managed to avoid the initial downwards attack aimed to land a fatal blow on me 'he's fast, but im faster' summoning raijin into my hand as lightning intensified even more then before around me once again, without missing a beat i rushed forward swinging at the neck fully expecting him to dodge the attack
seeing the blade moving towards his neck he moved back lightly avoiding the swing completely without much effort, seeing this i smirked i made a hand gun gesture and pointed it towards the serpent

a compressed bullet of honkai energy shot out towards the serpent who avoided it completely, stabbing the blade forward making it mark on my shoulder as i felt my body freeze up 'shit it's poison infused'
moving behind me he put his blade to my neck as we faced durandal who had her lance ready in her hands and her eyes narrowed "how about a trade? hand the gem over and i let this knight go?" hearing this made durandal's eyes narrow further taking a step further "do tell what happens if i were to refuse?" the serpent moving his blade touch my neck as i feel the effect of poison intensifying

"good luck trying to kill me when you can't even see me" i said breaking free of the hold and activating the stealth function of my battle suit "i see, a stigmata and honkai manipulation.. your an interesting o-" the sentence getting interrupted by a stab from infront as i became visible again "now, how about you shu-" before i could complete, i was met with an upwards slash that hit it's mark and leaving a nasty cut diagonally across my chest, jumping back to create distance just in time as i felt my body freeze up again, durandal moving infront to cover me as she pointed her lance at grey serpent "that's enough for you zeren stay back and I'll take it from here" "it's fine i can deal with this myself, get the girl back to HQ"

feeling the effects of the poison dissipating i walked back infront of durandal with the cut closing swiftly "your heavily injured, let me take..." her words falling off as she looked at the spot where i was cut as it healed up instantly "how did you... whatever lets just end this quickly before anyone else arrives" "alright then, just try to keep up"
instead of rushing towards the serpent i send out a lightning serge infront as an distraction, seeing the lighting serge the serpent jumped back high as to avoid the attack, seeing this i smirked as i manifested an phantom dagger in my hand

(skill activation- shadow edge: throw an phantom dagger towards an individual, stunning the individual and teleporting the user above them)
throwing the dagger at the serpent ashe moved his blade infront to black the dagger but it passing right through as the dagger hit it's mark right on his chest and stunning the serpent as i feel myself being teleported above him, using raijin to slash downwards at the now un-stunned serpent letting out another lightning attack
in response he brought up his blade again in time as the lightning attack hit sending him downwards crashing with immense force as an result swiftly getting up he pulled out a gun and pointed it at me who was falling towards the ground, seeing this durandal moved in time to block all the bullets shot towards me with her lance, the serpent rushing towards durandal as they engaged in a close-quarters combat
landing back on the ground i used the honkai energy to form a spear and launched it straight towards the serpent, seeing the spear in-coming durandal ducked to let it pass from above her towards the serpent, moving his blade up he successfully parried the spear but left himself open for me to to move in land a devastating blow with raijin driving him into the ground and making the ground crack from the blow
"thanks for the save back there" i said in gratitude to durandal who just smiled "not a big deal" "well anyways let's get going now shall we" i said as i started walking towards the aircraft sheathing raijin as the lightning around me dissipated "you sure you don't want to check if he's actually down or not?" stopping and looking back where grey serpent crashed as i flared out my senses
sensing honkai energy rising i moved back to where his body lies "self healing, lightning and honkai control on par with herrshers... you are a very interesting individual if i may say" getting up from the the ground revealed the form grey serpent missing the arm that held the blade gone and some considerable amount of the body vaporized revealing some considerable amount of wires "some experiments are in order" his form flickering as he became invisible
summoning raijin back into my hand i got ready for an fight again, sensing honkai energy shift behind me i turned to see an portal opening up behind me
'oh hell nah'
jumping away from the portal as to avoid being pushed into it "what do you mean by some experiments?" i asked not getting an answer in response making me narrow my eyes as i landed away from the portal as durandal ran up besides me "really should have checked if he was downed or not" said durandal readying her lace to attack at any moment "yeah yeah my bad"
seeing a small distortion in the air for a split second i rushed towards it without a second thought as i heard durandal say something which i ignored as to get this mess over with already, reaching the spot instantly slashing the air as it let a trail of lightning with the slash hitting its mark as it made contact with the serpent cutting off another one of his arms, "you fell for it." spoke the serpent
hearing that my blood ran cold as i noticed the same portal open up infront of me again but this time i was barreling into it, trying to stop myself from falling into the portal i tried to break my momentum by stabbing raijin into the ground as it left a trail, seeing this grey serpent rushed towards me as to push me into the portal, not seeing this coming i was pushed into the portal with raijin still in my hands
manifesting the dagger again i threw it towards grey serpent and successfully hitting the serpent with it as i was once again out of the portal infront of him as a lance stabbed through him pinning him to the ground as i stabbed raijin through the head now making sure that he's down
letting out a breath durandal glared at me 'oh shit' "DID YOU NOT HEAR ME WHEN I SAID DONT RUSH IN BLINDLY?!" yelled durandal as i just looked away refusing to meet her eyes "relax, i admit that was reckless of me to rush in without thinking anything but either way i could have handled it very well if anything bad happened" i tried to calm her down as i sheathed raijin as the lighting dissipated
taking a calming breath durandal took out her lance from the now unmoving body of grey serpent "still rushing in blindly like that could end badly sometimes" "yeah i know, I'll make sure to not do that again" getting a approving nod in response "now how about we go back" with that durandal started to walk towards the aircraft, looking back towards the portal that was still open i looked into as i saw nothing but an void of random things and colors
turning as to walk to the aircraft myself but stopped as i felt a pull from inside the portal as if something was telling me to jump into the portal
'yes you will do, jump in'
'damn the intrusive thoughts are getting a bit too loud'
shaking my head as to get rid of whatever that was i walked towards the aircraft as the portal closed the pull disappearing with it, as the gem that was glowing inside the box stopped glowing without me noticing it
"ah i can't wait to go back and relax already" i said as i flopped down on the seat "i um-" i heard the scout speak up looking at her as i gave her a silent queue to continue "i never got your name" at hearing that i perked up a bit "oh, forgot about that.. well anyways names zeren, nice to meet ya" offering a smile at the end
smiling back "my name is eila, nice to meet you too zeren" with that we started talking about things with durandal making her own comments here and there over the conversation, as the three of us as we made our way back to where my motorcycle is

yawning i got off the aircraft walking to my motorcycle "good work, the pay will be directly transferred to your account" said durandal as i just waved it off 'i already made a fortune from those 2 grey serpent clones' "i look forward for the next time we meet" that catching my attention as i turned around raising an eyebrow "why? if you don't mind me asking" smirking she replied "I'm hoping for a spar next time" smirking back "if that's the case than I'll be looking forward for our next meeting too" turning around i continued walking to my motorcycle as i heard the aircraft take off "well time to go back home" i said to myself as i drove off towards campus

driving through the main gates i made my way towards theresa's office as to report the mission's completion and to deposit the battle suit to get the slice on the front of it patched up
stopping by the lockers i changed into my normal clothing as i made my way towards theresa's office, getting closer to the office i see the door once again wide open as i saw the principle in question going around the office with some papers in her hands
moving besides the i knocked on the open door successfully garbing theresa's attention "you busy right now?" i asked getting a shake of the head in response "alright then, just stopping but report that the mission went smoothly and to also give this battlesuit back to get it repair"
"ah, i was already informed about the first part, gradp- the overseer is very much impressed by your performance on the mission and sends his regards" nodding my head as took in the what theresa said "well it's good to hear that i impressed the overseer, but i also have a battle suit that could use some repairs" i said holding up the battle suit as i showed the cut that went down from the chest area getting a bland look in return
"why am i not surprised that you received an what ill assume was an major injury but just healed yourself up and now your left with an battlesuit that once again has the chest area damaged" sweatdropping i just laughed nervously "well um I'll just put this here and go, i got class that i still have to attend" without waiting for an answer i dropped the battle suit on the nearest table and swiftly leaving the office and making my way to my motorcycle 'now to go home and... attend class..' letting a sigh as my thoughts came to an end
walking through the doors i went straight into my room as i flopped down on my bed
'just some shut eye bef-' my thoughts being interrupted by the sounds of alarm as one of my eyes started twitching '-ore class... just end me already'
getting up from the bed i turn the alarm off as i walked into the bathroom to take a cold shower and to get started on preparing breakfast
a few minutes later i walked out of my room as i heard some sounds coming from the kitchen, making my way towards it i saw mei in an apron preparing something
walking up behind her i peeked over her shoulder to see what she was cooking
"what ya making?" i asked making her jump and let out and "eek" as she turned around ready to swing the wooden spoon in her hand at the culprit for her scare
seeing her swing the spoon i move a bit back, catching the swinging arm as to stop the swing 'damn that swing had quite a lot of force behind it'
a moment later her eyes lit up in recognition as i was pushed back slightly from an unexpected hug from her, smiling i wrapped my arm around her bringing her closer "something wrong mei?" i asked as i patted her head lightly "no" came the muffled response, lifting her head up from my chest, a blush evident on her face "I'm just relieved that you didn't get injured like last time" "i gave you my word that I'd be extra careful didn't i?" i said with a smile on my face
'that was a complete lie, i almost got my damn head chopped off but we shall ignore that'
"right don't forget the stove" at my word we ended our hug as she shifted her attention to the stove but with an bright smile on her face, "need any help with preparing something on the side?" i asked leaning on the tabletop besides mei, "no, I'll prepare it, you should rest before we leave for our class" "you sure?" i asked again being persistent on helping her "ill just pr-" i was stopped from completing my sentence as i felt the feeling of dread building up inside me as i looked over to mei who had an overly sweet smile on her face as an dark aura emitted off her in waves
"i insist on cooking today, and as for you zeren, you should rest" at that i moved towards the table without any complaints, mei's smile going back to normal and the aura disappearing "would you like anything to drink?" asked mei over the sounds of sizzling "a cup of coffee if you don't mind" i said and mei nodding in response "I'll be over there with the coffee in a bit"

after breakfast outside himekos house
i stood outside the house with remi, kaito and mei as we waited for kiana and bronya to get ready so we could leave for the class, i leaned on the wall with my phone in my hands as i went through the latest game news with one earbud plugged in and music playing in it
