Hello my lovely readers! We are back with a new chapter!
Sorry I haven't been posting for a while due to traveling and work. But the trips were fun and I'm glad to be writing! This is the second to last chapter of this season. Once that is done, I'll post the first episode of season 2 in the New Year.
Anyhoo, let's continue our story...
Season 1, episode 18; A doll's house.
Deep in the underworld, many imps were working hard and persistently at their occupations; running around with papers, shoveling in coal, tidying up various rooms and keeping track of the soul counter and its accounts.
As they worked hard, they heard the sound of someone scatting and shoes clicking on the floor. They saw a shadow come closer and closer, as well as the scatting and footsteps. The figure came out of the corridor and they were shocked to see who it was.
It was none other than King Dice. He strode out of the room and into the throne room, doing some dance moves as well, and a few turns. As he walked passed the throne, he heard a voice announce
"Dice. Good, you're here. I need to talk with you."
He turned to see his employer sitting on his throne, with his pitchfork leaning on the side. He wasn't exactly thrilled to see his not-so number one, but considering the latest fail his minions had with the entrapment ruby, he needed a new plan and a new lackey to do it.
"Ah, boss. Good to see ya." Dice announced, walking to the foot of the throne. "You're looking well, as always."
"Flattery will get you nowhere." The Devil simply informed him. "As much as I enjoy it, I need you to do something for me."
"Of course, boss. What can I do for ya?" Dice asked.
"Since those bimbos made it very clear they cannot handle a simple task, I need someone else to bring me my bride." He announced. "And since you had somewhat of a close victory, I want you to go retrieve my darling Audrey."
"Oh, certainly boss!" Dice grinned. "Be more than happy to escort your fiancee to you. Is there any method you want me to use?"
"Do whatever you want, but make sure she's unharmed and in perfect condition." The Devil replied. "But remember, you fail, and you're in deep trouble. Got it?"
Dice gulped nervously and nodded. "U-understood boss."
"Good. Now get going." He shooed his lackey away. "I don't want you to waste time."
Dice nodded again and skidded out of the room, vanishing from sight.
The Devil sighed deeply. He didn't have any faith in Dice whatsoever to bring Audrey to him. Dice was crafty, no doubt, but he needed to step up his game in order to impress him.
He summoned his looking glass and tapped the image which then shifted, showing Audrey sleep in her bed.
He caressed her image and sighed heavily.
"Oh, my lovely. You look so peaceful as you sleep blissfully. You may reject me now, but I will have you for my bride."
After a few days of rain, the sun shone brightly in the sky and the air was clear and fresh. Audrey, who was still asleep in bed, turned over on her side and slowly felt the area where Josh was supposed to be, but for some reason, he wasn't there.
She moved her hand around but still couldn't find him. She slowly opened her eyes and saw that Josh's side was empty. She sat up, rubbed her eyes and yawned, giving a quick stretch.
Once she was awake, she looked over at the clock, as it read half past eight. Audrey slipped out of bed, put her bathrobe on and headed out the room and downstairs.
Once in the living room, she saw the boys playing marbles together, giggling and laughing, making good and quick shots. She bidded them good morning and headed to the kitchen to make some tea.
Once ready, she took a long sip and sighed. She wasn't much of a coffee person, occasionally going for an iced coffee, and enjoyed warm tea to help her calm down and to have a clear mind going into the day. Being editor in chief in the New York times was not something to take lightly.
As she began to make breakfast, Josh stepped in, all dressed up.
"Morning, sweetie." He smiled, coming over and kissing her. "Sleep well?"
"Oh yeah. Slept like a log." she smiled. "Why are you dressed up?"
"Oh, someone from work wanted me to go to breakfast with him." He replied. "He just wanted to go over a few things, and lucky for you, I brought you some bacon."
"Aww Josh. You're sweet." Audrey beamed. "You always bring me something everytime you go out."
"Hey, I love treating my girl to something." He smiled. "I know you had a long day at work yesterday, so I thought you could use that."
"Thanks." Audrey replied. Then she asked "So, are you doing anything today?"
"Uh, nothing's coming to mind." He answered. "Why?"
"Well, I think we need to talk to Monica about a few things." She claimed. "Remember when I told you Quadrarus showed me two people that will help us get home?"
Josh nodded as he poured himself a cup of coffee.
"One of the figures had wings and I know for a fact, that she is one of the two people we need." She proceeded. "I don't know who the other one is, but Monica is one lead."
"Honestly, I'm just glad we have something." Josh sighed. "While I don't mind the adventure and all, the Devil is really starting to get on my nerves. And with Monica, I think he might need to step up his game."
"Yeah, that's true." Audrey sighed. "But let's be happy we haven't heard a peep from him in days. Last time I saw him was barely escaping the underworld."
"Makes sense." Josh nodded. "Just out of curiosity, what was it like? The underworld? Was it different from the book?"
"As expected, yes, but it did have the same environment of 'you're doomed' so to speak." Audrey replied. "Anway, since Monica is at her hut, we should head over and-"
KABOOM!
A loud explosion startled them, nearly shaking the place. Cuphead and Mugman rushed in and shouted "Audrey! Josh!"
"You boys ok?" Audrey asked, kneeling and inspecting them. "What was that?"
"I dunno, but it came from Miss Monica's place." Mugman replied.
"Yeah, and I thought I set up bigger explosions than that." Cuphead giggled.
"Come on. Let's head over and see if she's ok." Josh mentioned.
The four of them rushed out of the cottage and headed towards Monica's house. They saw colorful smoke come from the chimney. They skidded inside and saw the smoke come from the kitchen.
They entered and saw Monica coughing and gasping, waving the smoke away, as they saw the place was a mess; bottles were scattered, liquids were spilled, pots were dirty and her spell book splattered with colored powder.
"Monica! Are you ok?!" Audrey asked as she opened a window, hoping to get the smoke out.
"Yes *cough* I was trying *cough cough* to mix new potions, but I must have mixed the wrong ones or added in wrong measurements, which caused this mess." She sighed, as the cups fanned out the remaining smoke. "I may be well trained when it comes to making potions, but I tend to slip up."
"It's alright, just glad you're ok." Josh sighed. "And trust me, when I was in high school, I think my pals and I set the chem lab on fire a few times. Mostly by accident."
"Mostly?" Audrey replied, arching an eyebrow.
"Yeah. Mostly." Josh confidently replied, but Audrey could tell that it was a bit of an exaggeration.
"Anyway, Monica, I was hoping we would talk about a few things." Audrey claimed. "It's about why you're here."
"Ah, yes. I had a funny feeling we would be having this conversation." Monica nodded. "I received a dream vision from Quadratus, telling me about you and your situation."
"Miss Audrey, what is she talking about?" Mugman asked.
"Well, you boys remember that night we went to see Quadratus to keep the Devil away?" Audrey asked.
They nodded and she continued. "While you were trying on the sweater, Quadratus told me that there are two people who can help me and Josh get home. And Moncia is one of those people."
"Who's the other one?" Cuphead asked.
"I'm not sure, but he said they would be coming to me, not so much me looking for them." Audrey shrugged.
"That is true. But lucky for you, I have a spell that can get you and Josh home." Monica informed her.
"Really? We can go home?" Audrey asked, surprised.
"Well, yes and no." Monica stated.
Josh arched an eyebrow. "Wait, which is it?"
"It's both." Monica replied. "I do have a spell to get you home, but in order for it to work, I need certain ingredients, so to speak."
She dusted off some powder from her book and opened it up. The pages were large and the writing and images were exquisite. The wording was in another language, but Audrey was mesmerized by the penmanship and strokes. She hadn't seen anything like this since her trip to the museum in London.
Monica flipped through the pages until she came to what she was looking for. The image showed a purple vortex that looked like a doorway. Monica skimmed down until she came to a small list.
"Ah here it is. A portal back to your home." Monica informed. "In order for the portal to come, I need the following."
Audrey figured it would be ingredients like certain spices, plants, or objects. She could handle getting some items, especially since that gave her time to explore the isle and have new adventures with the boys. However, what Monica told them surprised her.
"I will need five things; The heart of a true pirate, A new musical note, Newly found courage, An unbroken deal, and A mended relationship."
They looked oddly at the list and Audrey finally broke the silence by asking "Wait, this is it? How are we supposed to find ingredients like those?"
Monica could tell Audrey sounded a bit frustrated and shocked. To make matters worse, she saw that she was starting to hyperventilate a bit, clutching the sides of her head and shaking.
"Audrey? Audrey? You ok?" Josh asked, rubbing her back.
"Look, I know this seems really confusing now, but trust me, it will make more sense when you find them." Monica assured her, grasping her hands from her head and rubbing them.
"Monica, I don't know where to start looking." Audrey finally claimed. "It was confusing enough that Quadratus told me that you and someone else would be looking for me, and now this. I feel so confused and so much is happening so quickly."
Her breaths felt short and began to feel tears sting her eyes. She began to feel an incredible amount of stress and frustration flood her mind. She didn't think she would have to find complicated ingredients, but apparently now she does.
After a second, Monica replied "Audrey. Listen to me. I know this is a lot to handle, and I completely understand that you are under a lot of pressure. But trust me when I say this; the ingredients will come to show. I have had many spells for centuries, and they never fail."
Audrey took some deep breaths and finally calmed down a bit. Monica sat down, hands still grasped on hers.
"You know you have all of us on your side. I know you still have worries about the Devil and his goons, but you have shown you are not interested in giving up." Monica reminded her. "Besides, this will give you a chance to explore the world of Inkwell. You enjoyed your many adventures in the book, I'm sure you will have a pleasure being here."
Cuphead arched an eyebrow as he asked. "There's a book on Inkwell?"
"It's a bit more complicated than that." Josh assured him. "I'll explain later."
Audrey wiped a tear away and smiled. "That's true, I do love adventures. I guess I can spare some of my free time, explore the area and have some fun."
"I think that would be fine." Monica beamed.
"I'm sorry I got upset." Audrey sighed. "I thought getting home was going to be a straight shot, but I guess it would take the fun out of things."
"No need to apologize." Mugman chimed in. "We know it can be a lot with things, but we won't let him or anyone else get ya."
"Yeah, count on that." Cuphead smiled, giving a thumbs up.
They got in a group hug and Audrey began to feel better. Yeah, it was a lot, but she had backup and pals that were looking out for her.
She just hoped she could protect them as well.
A few hours later, after showering and getting dressed, Audrey along with Josh, Monica and the boys, headed down the dirt path chatting with one another.
They got word from the local paper that a yard sale was happening not too far from the cottage and decided to check it out. They arrived and saw many tables filled with various items of furniture, clothing, toys, houseware supplies, boxes filled with books and other miscellaneous items that were to the brim.
"Ok, let's look around." Audrey smiled. "Maybe we can find something for Elder Kettle."
"You sure the medicine that Miss Monica is giving him will help?" Mugman asked.
"Oh yes." Monica nodded. "I made sure it had a nice cherry flavor so the taste wouldn't make him gag."
"I know that feeling." Cuphead nodded. "I don't like the weird flavors medicine has, but I like it when they have cherry or strawberry. Hate the weird and gross taste."
"That makes two of us." Audrey nodded. "Ok, remember you only have enough money for one item. And no fighting over the same toy."
"We promise." the boys replied, as they headed off to a stack of toys.
Audrey skimmed over the items, flipping through some open books, and looked at some old dresses. The color was a bit faded, but still had a good form.
She remembered how she and some of her friends from college would head off campus and tour around yard sales and markets, buying fun clothing, food and jewelry. It was nice that it wasn't super expensive and helped people who were in small businesses.
However, little did she know that King Dice appeared and was eyeing her from afar. A wicked smile appeared on his face.
"My oh my, still as beautiful as before." He muttered. "If the boss wasn't marrying her, I'd sweep her off her feet myself."
He then frowned as he saw her talking to Josh, who showed her a briefcase and a jacket.
"Ugh, I don't know what she sees in him." He grumbled. "He's a weak little nobody and shouldn't be with her. But what the boss wants he gets. Now how to get her…?"
As he pondered over a plot, Audrey was looking in one of the large boxes on another table, digging through old books and loose papers when she heard a little girl whine.
"But mommy! I want the pretty dollhouse!"
Audrey looked up and her eyes widened. The little girl was pointing to a large, spacious and ultra-stylish house, with a dark blue roof, window outlines and white exterior. Next to the house was a sack labeled "Dollhouse toys" as well as some small figurines next to it.
"I'm sorry, honey, but it's very expensive." her mother replied. "Plus, you just got a new house for your ponies. They seem very happy about that."
"But I want this one!" the girl whined. "Please mommy!"
"I'm sorry but my answer is no." Her mother calmly replied. "Come on, let's see if there's anything for daddy we can buy."
She then took the child to another area, and Audrey skidded over to the dollhouse, examining it from top to bottom. She opened it up and saw that it has six spacious rooms, good but faint color on the floor and walls, and the stairwell was dusty yet functional.
Monica, who was passing by with some clothing, heard Audrey gasp.
"Oh my gosh I can't believe this."
"What is it?" Mon asked.
"This dollhouse. This one looked like one I had when I was a girl." She sighed. "Oh, I used to play with it for hours. I just loved it so much I once wanted to live in that house."
"My, you really loved it." Monica chuckled. "I can see much creativity when young girls play make-believe and let their imagination run wild. You told me you have a sister. Did you play with her often?"
"Yeah, we did. When we were close." Audrey sighed. "We kinda drifted as we got older and I wasn't sure if it was something I did or whatever, but she distanced herself from the family. It's also been a rough couple of years with her. She went through a divorce months after Josh and I got married and her ex-husband filed for custody for her kids."
"Oh that's terrible." Monica stated. "Have you tried to reach out?"
"Several times, but she's blocked me." Audrey replied, closing the dollhouse's doors. "Guess she doesn't want me in her life anymore. I just don't know why. That's why I hope when I have children, they can get along and reach out to each other in times of need."
"Oh, I'm sure they'll grow up to be good friends and siblings." Mon assured her. "They would have wonderful parents to look out for them."
Audrey nodded and looked back at the dollhouse again. She began to have flashbacks of her playing with her dolls, imitating the voices of the parents, and children, even the dog she had. She looked at the price tag and saw that it was ten dollars.
Now, in today's world, you can buy that in a heartbeat, but in the 1930s, that was a ton of money, especially during the circumstances of the world. She pondered it for a second, debating if she should buy it or not, when suddenly someone came over and put a "Sold" sign on it
"Oh, sorry, miss." the man replied. "Were you hoping to purchase this?"
"Huh? Oh no, I was just browsing." Audrey assured him. "I think someone is going to make their little girl happy."
"Yes ma'am." The man nodded. "He was excited to purchase it. Anyway, if there's something you would like to purchase, let me know."
Audrey nodded and proceeded to look at various items. She looked over and saw the boys playing with airplane toys they found, and smiled. While the two of them bickered over silly things, they still had each other's back and helped in times of need.
"I know they'll be good friends even as they grow up." Audrey sighed. "As long as one doesn't end up killing the other by accident."
A bit later, the group headed home after purchasing a few things and chatted with one another about their discoveries. They saw the cottage in sight but as they got closer, they saw a rather large package near the front door.
At first, they figured Elder Kettle purchased some new supplies for the house, but then they saw a card and who it was addressed to.
"Wait, this is for Miss Audrey." Mugman claimed. "Did you order something?"
"No, not recently." Audrey replied. "Wonder where it came from and what's inside."
She looked at the card but there was no information regarding who sent it. Curious, she opened it up and was surprised to see the same dollhouse she saw before.
"Ok this is really weird." She trembled. "This is the exact same dollhouse that I saw at the yard sale. I heard someone purchased it and thought they were giving it to someone else."
"Maybe they heard you talking about it and bought it for you?" Cuphead suggested. "I mean, it's happened before."
"While that is a good thought, how did they know where she lives?" Monica asked. "Something doesn't seem right."
Just then, Josh noticed a card on the ground and picked it up. "Hey, there's a letter. Maybe this can help us."
Audrey took the card and opened it up. It read
"Heard this was a dollhouse from your childhood. Thought you would like to live your childhood dream. Open up the house for a big surprise."
"Ok this is seriously creepy." Audrey shuddered. "I don't think I want to know what's inside."
"Ok, it's fine as long as we don't open-Cuphead NO!" Josh cried.
But he was too late as he opened it up. Audrey bolted over reaching for him but then a great force pulled them in, shoving them inside the house and was slammed shut.
"Whoa!" They screamed.
"Audrey! Cuphead!" The rest cried.
The two toppled over and hit the wall. Thankfully they were unharmed but Cuphead got his head stuck in one of the cabinets.
"Cups! You ok?!" Audrey asked.
"Yeah! I'm fine, but my head's stuck!" He cried, tugging and pulling. Audrey grabbed his legs and pulled as hard as she could but his head was really stuck in there and she couldn't get him out.
"Are you kidding me!?" She groaned. She raced to the door and began pounding and tugging on it with all her might. "Hey! Let me out! Oh jeez! I'm stuck!"
Monica and Josh began to pull on the tiny door, but they did not have any luck opening it. "The door's stuck too! Ugh!" She grunted.
"I'll go see if I can get a crowbar to open it." Mugman announced. He then rushed inside to find one.
"Ok, this is really weird!" Josh claimed. "Not to mention really bad."
However, things just got worse as the two felt someone grab and shoved them back and picked up the dollhouse.
"Well well! Looks like it worked!" A confident voice claimed. "The boss will be happy about this."
Unfortunately Josh knew that voice all too well. He looked and saw none other than King Dice with that same stupid grin on his face, holding the dollhouse in his hands.
"HEY! Give that back!" Monica shouted.
"Sorry, but the boss would like to see his bride again and I intend to make that happen." He sneered. "And it looks like I got the little cup-face too. Boss has been looking for him.
"Dice! If you know what's good for ya, you'll put that dollhouse down right now!" Josh growled. It didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that he was the one who bought the house and must have put a spell on it.
"Sorry, chump, but she's going to the boss." Dice informed him. "Once she's with him, they'll get married and he will finally have the kid's soul."
"Yeah no. Not gonna happen." Monica simply put.
Without hesitation, she blasted a bit of magic at Dice's torso, which caused him to scream in pain and throw the dollhouse in the air. Luckily, Monica was there to catch the dollhouse in time.
"OW! Hey!" Dice shouted.
Monica was relieved to catch it, but since Audrey is smaller, she felt like there was a huge earthquake among her. "Whoa!" She cried.
Seeing that she wasn't safe just yet, Monica spread her wings and flew off into the forest.
"Just hang in there, Audie! I'll find a way out for ya!" Monica assured her.
Dice managed to heal the pain but growled as he saw Monica vanish from sight.
"Oh no you don't!"
He then rushed after them, and vanished from sight. Josh wanted to go after them, but then Mugman came out with a crowbar.
"Josh, I got the-hey where's Miss Monica?" He asked.
"One of the Devil's goons tried to take the dollhouse." Josh explained. "She flew off to find a safe place to reverse the effects."
"Oh dear! I hope she can help Miss Audrey and Cuppy before the Devil gets them." He shuddered.
"Yeah, me too." Josh sighed.
With Monica, she had flown deeply into the forest, hoping to get away from Dice. He was out of sight which gave her the chance to land on the ground and placed the dollhouse on a stump. She panted a bit, trying to catch her breath.
"Whew, I know I can fly fast, but that was a workout." She sighed. "Nonetheless I'm away from him which means I can get Audrey out."
She peered inside and asked "Audrey, are you ok?"
"Yeah, I'm fine." Audrey replied. "Cuphead's, well, head, is stuck and I can't get him out."
"Well, we have a second to rest so that should be-"
Just then a swarm of cards were flung out at Monica, making her stumble back and drop the dollhouse. Thankfully, it did not hit the ground, but landed in the hands of King Dice.
"Gotcha!" He sneered, as he quickly headed out. "Now I got what I need."
"Hey! Let us out!" Audrey shouted.
"Can't do that, dollface." Dice chuckled. "Boss has been wanting you back with him and since you have that cup with ya, I might get a bonus."
"The only thing you'll get is a beatdown if you don't let me and Cuphead out of here!" Audrey shouted. "Your boss won't have me or Cuphead!"
"We'll see about that." Dice taunted.
As he made his way, just then, a large vine shot out and wrapped around his leg, causing him to fall and land flat on his stomach. The house landed in front of him and Monica swooped in and grabbed it.
She then flew off once more, but Dice, who quickly recovered, created a lasso from the vines and tossed it at her, getting her waist and pulling her back. Once she was on the ground, he grabbed the dollhouse and made a run for it.
This began a back and forth pursuit of Dice taking the dollhouse and then Monica would retrieve it back, and so forth. While it wasn't a huge deal for Monica, it was getting annoying and making her wings a bit tired. She wanted to teleport out, but everytime she tried, Dice would come and mess her up. She needed him away so she could leave.
Finally, after a bit of fighting, Monica managed to get the dollhouse and took a breath, tired from the flying and fighting.
"Sheesh, for a blockhead, he sure is persistent." She sighed. "Ok, now that I have a second, I can free Audie."
However, she raised her wand and was about to cast a spell when she was surrounded by anthropomorphic card and chip minions, spears pointed at her.
She gave a groan. There was no end to this.
"Ok, what part of 'she's not interested' is not clear to you?" Monica asked, as Dice approached her.
"You could have made this easier by handing her over." Dice mentioned. "I have a task to complete and I want to make my boss happy. Besides, you're tired and worn out from the flying. You'd be doing yourself a huge favor when you surrender the girl to me."
"I wouldn't dream of doing that." Monica growled, staff pointed at him. "I was sent to protect her and to get her and her husband home. That is what I'll be doing."
"We'll see about that." Dice grinned hatefully. He snapped his fingers and pointed at her, making them walk towards her.
Now Monica was a bit worry, seeing that she was outnumbered and worn out from the fight. She needed to get Audrey out but with the little energy she had, she wasn't getting out of this one easily.
Before they could do anything, suddenly, a large rubber band shot out from the blue and wrapped around the cards, trapping them in the band, and before the chips could react, several gloved hands grabbed them and threw them in a large case, where Josh stood holding Audrey's sketchbook.
"Looks like you got no army to help ya." Josh called out. "Now, I suggest you get your ugly self out of here, or I will create something that will shatter your pathetic head!"
Dice wanted to take Josh down, but remembering his boss telling him about the sketchbook and it's unlimited power, he knew he needed a new plan.
Glaring at Josh, he growled. "This isn't over, you chump. I'll be back."
He then pulled out an ace card and with a flick of his wrist, vanished from sight.
Josh took a sigh. "Man, he's the worse. You ok, Mon?"
"Yes, I'm fine. A bit tired, but nonetheless alright." Monica replied. "Thank you for your help and good job knowing to use that."
"Thanks. The first time I crushed the Devil with an anvil." Josh mentioned. "But that's another story for later. We should get Audie and Cuppy out."
"Ageed."
She then turned to the dollhouse and casted a spell, making it swing open, and Audrey and Cuphead were flown out and back to their original size.
"Whew. That was crazy." Audrey sighed, trying to keep her balance. She looked and saw that Cuphead's head was still stuck in the cabinet. She and Josh got it off, as his pupils were swirling around.
"Whoooaaaa, the world is spinning." He groaned, as Josh kept him steady. He blinked a few times and regained his focus. "Everyone ok?"
"Yeah, I think so." Audrey sighed. "Man that was crazy."
"Tell me about it." Monica sighed. "But you're safe and that's good."
"True. Now the question is, what do we do with the dollhouse?" Josh asked. "I really don't want it if it sucks me or anyone else in."
"I don't think it has that ability to do that a second time." Monica mentioned. "But yeah I don't want it around any longer."
Audrey pondered it over for a second until she got an idea. Taking her sketchbook, she cleaned up the dollhouse and tied a ribbon over it. She then created a portal and it slipped through.
The dollhouse then landed safely on the bed of the young girl who wanted the toy set earlier and when she came in and saw it, she was overjoyed and squealed with delight.
"There, that oughta do the trick." Audrey smiled. "I'm sure that girl will love it."
"No doubt." Josh smiled. "Come on. Let's head home and relax the rest of the day. I think you two have been through a lot."
"Totally. I could use a bit of rest. And thank you Monica for your help."
"No worries. That's what friends are for." Monica smiled. "And look, I know you sounded frustrated and worried about the spell, but don't worry. We will get you and Josh home. Count on it."
Audrey smiled and nodded, feeling a bit more better. She linked arms with Josh and the group headed home.
In the underworld, the Devil, who saw the hole thing from his looking glass, groaned in frustration. While Dice was close to getting Audrey, he still failed and still disappointed him.
"Ugh, out of all the dumb idiotic plans, that's what he came up with." He growled.
He slumped in his throne and rubbed his temples with his thumbs. Clearly, he needed a new plan to get her, one that was foolproof.
Just then, Henchman appeared and asked "Say boss?"
"Yes, Henchman?" The Devil groaned. "What is it?"
"Duh, there's a new soul that just appeared." Henchman replied. "She came recently and is starting to wake up."
The Devil took a deep breath and sat up. "Ok, let's see who this is. Maybe intimidating her would get me in a good mood."
He and Henchman headed out and went to see this new soul.
Sheesh, I know Dice can be sleazy but he's a huge creep! Glad that Monica was able to help and they live to adventure another day. Though I wonder who the Devil is meeting. Could she be a huge part in the story? Stay "Toon" and find out!
As always, thanks so much for reading! Don't forget to write a review but let's avoid the flames please :D
