Return of Bryn
Chapter 7
The group rose from kneeling on the ground.
Maeve wanted to speak so badly to her Aunts, but she knew protocol needed to be followed for a little bit more, so Roslyn reported first.
"Aunts, Fergus has been successfully wedded and bedded to Princess Amber-Sabiriah of Alexandria. He will stay there for a few more weeks, he will then request a passageway home with his new wife, and the Pharaoh will send ships and soldiers as well."
High Priestess Morgawase nodded and said, "Good, King Arthur will be greatly gladdened to hear such news."
Then she smiled and looked at her, "Maevelynn! You have finally returned Sister-Daughter! And Dermott, you are human once more Sister-Son! Let us look at you both! Your parents have been notified."
Maeve and Dermott grinned and met her half way in a hug that showed the crew of the Nomad how much they were loved and missed. Then the other two Priestesses joined in on the hug.
Once they pulled away, the priestess with golden brown hair lightly grayed at the temples, walked to Bryn and lightly placed a hand on her forehead gently and said, "Brenna Pendragon you are lost within your mind and yet your core being is unchanged. Maeve was right to bring you to me Sister-Daughter, I shall help you break the curse upon you, and hopefully then this war with Hibernia can come to an end."
Bryn blinked at the priestess rapidly and said respectfully, for though she could not recall the woman before her nor the others still with Maeve and Dermott, she knew this one was important and replied, "Thank you Aunt…."
The woman smiled, emerald eyes twinkling as she answered, "I am Elaine dear one, your father's youngest sister."
Morgana, who just let go of Dermott after telling him that there was something very important that they had to speak to him about before anything else happened that day, came up to her and hugged her too.
She pulled back, placed a gentle hand on Bryn's right cheek and said in an otherworldly voice and eye that seems to see through and past her all at once, "Brenna, daughter of King Arthur son of Uther Castus of Rome and Igraine, Cuid a Uisce a Cornwhwynn a Castus, niece. We welcome you home dear one."
High Priestess Morgawse smiled grandly at her sister-children and then turned to the Nomad crew and gave them a graceful tilt of her head and said, "Sinbad of Baghdad, Doubar of Baghdad, Firouz of Basra, Rongar of Bollnah, thank you so very much for taking care of and genuinely care of for our Sister-Children. You are very welcome to stay here as long as needed. Let us know if there is anything you truly need and it will be provided for post-haste."
Sinbad was very surprised by the genuinely authentic thanks given to them for simply befriending and caring for Maeve, Dermott, and Bryn.
So much so that it took Doubar nudging him in the back to get him to say, "it was and is no trouble at all. All we require at this time Ladies is some food, drink, and room to refresh ourselves before we engage you and yours in conversation later on."
Elaine, who was hugging her daughter tightly, turned to Sinbad, smiled and said, "You remind me of my own husband when he was a young man, Sinbad. Witty and charming enough for two dozen and yet honorable enough for any father to feel comfortable in marrying his beloved daughter too."
Sinbad felt a deep blush overcome his face and his friends grinned at him.
Dermott chuckled and added, "And not just charming, but a hero with latent magical powers to boot, Aunt."
Elaine raised an eyebrow and said, "Indeed," then she continued, "well we will have much to converse about once you all have rested."
She turned to her sister and raised an eyebrow.
Morgawse nodded and said, "Maeve, Dermott your mother is waiting in her chambers for you both. Once you have finished there you may do as you wish."
She turned tk Bryn, "Brenna, Bryn, you may stay in your old room to see if they help bring forth memories or stay with your friends until the correct time of the moon has arrived before Elaine can help you break the curse upon you. Your mother and Father have been told of your arrival as well, and they will be here in three days."
Bryn, or rather Brenna, was feeling a bit overwhelmed. She of course knew her family was here, but to be face-to-face with them all at once, getting her memories back so soon after being lost for so long, all she could do is nod and follow her younger sister out of the chambers.
Sinbad watched Bryn leave with concern. His bracelet was tingling and letting him know that something was wrong with Bryn. Not that he couldn't guess what it was. She was overwhelmed and both needed and wanted her memories back, but also scared too. He wished to help her but wasn't sure how.
Morgawse turned to them and said, "Dermott and Maeve show them to the guest wing if you would please."
They nodded and bowed to the Aunts and said, "Yes Lady Priestess."
The Nomad crew bowed as well and silently followed the siblings out.
