Hank was the first to walk into the home, his mass obscuring Emma from view.

"Dad! You can't just leave and not tell anyone! Mom has been looking for you! We tried calling but you left your phone here" Gwen said frustrated with her hands on her hips. Her blue hair was tied up in a neat bun and blue eyes narrowed on their father who waved her off with a smile.

"Apologies princess, I had to secure a special package"

"Surprise!" Emma grinned peeking her head out from behind her father.

"Emma! I thought you weren't getting her until tomorrow!" Gwen's face changed from annoyed to surprised at the site of her younger sibling. She closed the distance and hugged Emma tightly.

"Emma's here?" Will walked out from the kitchen eating an apple his face brightening when he saw his little sister "Hey shortie!" he said ruffling Emma's hair, making it more messy than what it was. Will despite looking like a carbon copy of their father was slightly taller than him, his hair also wasn't as long and wild like his either. Emma took notice both her older siblings had a few grey hairs starting to show and her heart tightened but she smiled nonetheless.

"Where's mom and Jacob?" Emma asked separating from Gwen.

"They're in the back watching the kids playing with everyone else" Will jerked his thumb towards the door that lead to the backyard.

"Perfect!" Emma smirked and felt herself slip into predator mode as her father like to tease her. Her steps were light and she was aware of everything as she stalked towards the backyard door. She opened it slowly making and quietly they had yet to notice. Her mother was in her rocking chair facing the yard while laughing when Sam, her nephew fell and the rest of the kids dog piled on him. Damien, Gwen's husband had took notice of her as he was facing the door. She pressed a finger to her lips letting him know not to say anything. He smiled with a small nod and continued the conversation like nothing. While Rachel, William's wife, had yet to notice her but that had been because she too was facing the yard and keeping an eye on the kids. Her younger brother, Jacob, sat next her mother on the stairs with a drink in hand not paying attention to anything in particular. He was just listening to the conversation they had been having and laughing when something funny was said.

"Isn't it a little late for the kids to still be up?" Emma asked no one in particular.

"Oh it's fine Emma, hey don't have school tomorrow- Emma!" Her mother, Maya, gasped doing a double take suddenly realizing her daughter was actually there with them. Emma laughed and was slightly impressed her mother recognized her voice immediately. Maya had stood up and practically ran to close the distance between them and hugged her tightly.

"Why didn't you tell me you were coming!" Maya smiled happy to see Emma.

"Obviously that would have ruined the surprise" Emma teased and kissed her cheek.

"Aunt Emma! You came!" All the kids shouted running towards her. When they were just about to reach her Emma front flipped into the backyard grass and stuck her tongue at them.

"Too slow" she teased the kids and began half heartedly running away and they chased after her giggling.

"Make sure you tire them out good" Rachel called out to Emma with a grin.

"Maya? You alright?" Hank asked softly as he joined his wife outside with everyone else and wrapped an arm around her shoulders pulling her close to him. Tears had begun to gather in her eyes but she hadn't smelled upset so he didn't worry too much about it.

"I'm happy that the family is all back together even if it's just for a little while" Maya smiled up at him and he hummed in agreement.
