"Let me tell you about anacondas," George began, his voice filled with excitement. "They are incredible swimmers, you know? These massive, serpentine creatures glide effortlessly through the water, like living sticks dancing in a mysterious underwater ballet. I even stumbled upon some awe-inspiring videos showcasing their aquatic skills on the vast realm of YouTube."
James chuckled, appreciating George's enthusiasm. "Thank you for sharing that intriguing tidbit of knowledge," he acknowledged.
Caught off guard by James' genuine interest, George couldn't help but challenge his friend. He crossed his arms and skeptically asked, "Why are you pretending to care, though?"
Indignant, James immediately defended himself. "I assure you, I am not pretending. Perhaps my words may have come across that way, and for that, I truly apologize. But let me explain - living with Logan, the king of sarcasm, has undoubtedly influenced me. Sarcasm has become second nature to him, always dripping from his every remark."
Logan, overhearing his name mentioned, couldn't resist jumping into the conversation. Offended, he retorted, "No, I'm not sarcastic at all."
"I acknowledge my shortcomings and I'm truly dedicated to improving myself, but I could use some assistance," James voices.
"Mental help, perhaps?" George interjects with a mocking tone.
"Indeed, it's possible that there's something amiss in my mind. Perhaps I'm possessed," James muses.
"James, you're not possessed," Logan reassures.
"Then what's the matter with me?" James pleads.
"This isn't the appropriate time or setting to delve into this. We can discuss it later. Our focus should be on learning, not wallowing," Logan advises.
"Alright, fine. Where did Carlos disappear to?" James wonders, scanning his surroundings.
"I'm unsure, but he couldn't have strayed too far," Logan reveals.
"He's my trusted companion on this journey, and now I can't even keep pace with him," James laments with a sigh.
"His curiosity always leads him astray. You should shoot him a text." Logan suggests.
"Very well," James agrees, reaching for his phone and promptly receiving a response. "He's in the bathroom. Apparently, he informed me beforehand, but I must not have heard him. The noise in here is overwhelming."
"OK, that's OK. He should be coming back any minute." Logan explains.
Carlos comes back 5 minutes later.
When it's time for lunch, the class goes to the cafe.
James notices chocolate ice cream on the dessert table. Katie walks up to it, gets it, looks at him, sighs, and places it on his tray, which confuses him. He makes his way to the table with the other members of the band. "Did you see that?" She GAVE ME THE ICE CREAM. She knew it was the last one, so she just handed it to me." He is taken aback.
"She has a good heart." Logan states.
"But she despises me," James says.
"Well she obviously loves you enough to give you ice cream and we all know she LOVES ice cream." Kendall explains.
"You think she's going to forgive you and the ice cream is a peace offering?" Carlos states.
"No, it's not that simple. She gave it to me with a scowl and said nothing. She's still upset, and I understand why." James sighs. "I guess the ice cream is progress."
Walks over to their table.
"It wasn't her idea; it was Jesse's." He begged her to do something "nice" for you. So she decided to offer you the ice cream to make him happy him. She's still smoking mad with you." Tyler says and returns to the table.
"Did you hear that James?" Jesse is a wonderful kid. He's incredibly considerate and thoughtful." Kendall states.
