Welcome to the 2023 Thanksgiving one-shot this year.

This idea was suggested by Super Sayian 3 Odd.

It's my second Loud House Movie fanfic, but it takes place during the end of the movie, specifically when the Louds leave Loch Loud and are on the boat heading back home.

While I did enjoy the movie a whole lot, both of us feel like this should've been in the movie, the Louds learning what happened at the diner that night and Lincoln's motivation for going to Scotland.

Also I saw the new episodes! SPOILERS if you haven't seen them.

Hunnicutt Gems, I'd give an 8/10. Nice Liam limelight episode and parts of his life on the farm. I'm glad he learned his lesson. Honestly Rusty's arrogance can get a bit annoying but I do pity him for Crikey.

Can't Lynn Em All, 9.5/10. Good character development for Lynn and it showed that fame and power aren't at the cost of being hated. Only downside is Meryl out of character but that's it. Also Flip's either a hypocrite or has standards. Lynn's interactions with Lincoln and Leni were great. And nice twist for Leni liking wrestling! And TOM KENNY, SpongeBob himself, FINALLY guest starred! I knew I recognized his voice! Also Bella "Big" Bucks is an interesting antagonist in this one.

Enjoy!

What could be described as a crazy but memorable vacation would be calling it lightly. The Louds were relaxing on the boat as they sailed away from Loch Loud and Scotland as a whole, their vacation done.

Learning they were royalty with a town named after them, befriending the townsfolk like Angus and Scott, meeting their ghostly ancestors and even a dragon, Lincoln becoming the Duke, stopping an evil tyrant bent on tranquility all because she couldn't handle the Louds living up to their last name.

While the Louds had enjoyed their time in their ancestral home and the royal life, they were looking forward to heading back to Royal Woods, back to their home, friends, family, adoring fans… and drop Bobby off back home.

The oldest of the Santiago siblings had come to Scotland to win Lori back after a misunderstanding thanks to a botched connection. Lori had tried to call him back but the reception wasn't working since he was going all over the place all week.

Thankfully even when the Louds were leaving, they had heard Bobby cry out in misery for just missing his babe and turned the boat around. Bobby and Lori managed to patch up the misunderstanding and were back together (not that they ever were broken up since that call).

It was nighttime as the boat sailed on.

"How much further are we from the land captain?" Lincoln asked.

"Well according to the GPS pur estimated arrival to the nearest harbor in Ireland." the boat captain said. "There you'll get transportation to the airport and you'll all be flown back to America."

"Sounds good to me!" said Lori.

"I can't wait to get back home!" said Lynn. "I mean the royal life was nice and all, but hey, I Iike my home base."

"I can't wait to head back to the mall and show Scott everything over the phone!" said Leni.

"I can't wait to see Sam again." Luna said with a blush.

"Same with my Benny." Luan added.

"And I can't wait to get back home to relax after countless days of traveling from America to Scotland and back!" Bobby said in relief. "I am so tired…"

"Easy Boo-Boo Bear, you're ok now." soothed Lori.

"I'm still surprised that you guys are royalty!" Bobby added.

"It's true! Us Louds ruled all of the town!" said Lynn.

"Well mainly Lincoln did as the Duke." Lori clarified.

"Are you gonna tell anyone about this?" Bobby asked.

"Well Clyde already knows." Lincoln said, "He is my best friend after all."

"We might tell your family too, but we may wanna start out small." Lori said, "Maybe just Ronnie Anne for now."

"Yeah don't want too many people to know the secret right away since we don't want any sketchy people to find out and take advantage of our royalty," Lana added.

"Good plan." Bobby nodded.

"We might tell members of our family." Rita said. "Like my Dad for one. Oh and Myrtle."

"My Dad will wanna know since those ghosts were his ancestors too." Lynn Sr. said.

"What about Uncle Lance and his family? He is your brother." Luan said,

Lynn Sr. looked conflicted. "Well…"

"By the way, what inspired you to go to Scotland in the first place?" Bobby asked.

"Oh it was actually Linky's idea." said Leni.

"Yeah after all of our events last Saturday, he sprung the idea to us while we were brushing our teeth. And that's the tooth." Luan joked. "Ha ha ha ha! Get it?"

Everyone but Lynn Sr. groaned.

"It's true, Lincoln learned from Clyde that his family is from France where his nanas owned bakeries." said Rita. "At least that was what his Nana Gayle told him on their trip."

"Clyde told me that very night after all the girls' activities." said Lincoln.

The Louds were taken aback.

"Wait, hold on, you were at Clyde's that night?" Lynn asked. "I thought you were at Dad's restaurant."

"Yeah with all of us during the pictures." said Luna.

Lincoln's expression turned to a frown. When explaining his reasons for wanting to be the Duke, he had forgotten to explain what happened at the restaurant that day.

"Actually…" Lincoln admitted, rubbing his arm. "I wasn't in any of the photos that night."

The Louds were surprised.

"What? Of course you are!" said Lori. She pulled out her phone. "Here Mom and Dad sent us the pictures, I'm sure-"

Lori cut herself off when she looked closer at the pictures her parents took of them. There was her and her sisters - bar Lily - holding their trophies at the booth… but Lincoln wasn't in there.

"Wait, hold on, where are you?" Lori asked in confusion, looking around.

Surprised, the rest of the Louds looked at the pictures on their phones. Their expressions matched Lori's, confused and surprised.

"Where's Linky?" Leni asked.

"He's not in the photos!" Lynn Sr. exclaimed.

"How did we miss that?!" Rita asked in surprise.

"Where were you bro?" Luna asked.

"I accidentally got knocked out of the way." Lincoln replied. "When I tried to tell you, everyone else in the restaurant crowded around you and then Scoots ran into me and I ended up outside. She hit the doors and they locked me out."

The Louds were shocked.

"You got locked out?!" Luan asked.

"Wait, you lock the doors on the inside?" Bobby asked.

"I gotta fix that when we get back." Lynn Sr. murmured.

Lincoln sighed. "I saw all of you being praised by everyone in the restaurant. Winning your trophies, all your amazing accomplishments, Mom and Dad stating that they were proud of their girls since they were special…"

Lynn Sr. and Rita traded surprised and guilty glances.

"Wait, weren't they the ones who had events going on that day?" Bobby asked.

"Well yes but we wouldn't have gotten to them on time if it wasn't for Lincoln's help." Lori replied. "He had our stuff organized, memorized who had what first, and held our trophies, well except Lola's, but still he was a big help that day."

"Yeah if it wasn't for him, we wouldn't have been on time for any of those events." Luna added. "We would've missed them all."

"I'm still wondering who in their right mind scheduled all those events on the same day." Lisa lampshaded.

"Well it was good weather." said Leni.

"You weren't in any of the photos… and we didn't see you on the ride home!" exclaimed Luan. "How did we not see that?!"

"You guys were caught up in your wins and the fame… and I honestly don't blame you." Lincoln said before sighing. "But seeing all of you get the praise and everyone basically knowing who you were, I was feeling left out… yes I myself didn't have an activity going on, but it was like no one even knew there was a Loud brother in the family with the 10 superstar sisters. And I felt like I wasn't appreciated for the help in the end. Scoots even told me, 'No trophy, no photo.' before she left… all of that made me feel like no one in town really knew me, that I would always be stuck in your shadows… and that I really wasn't special. Just regular, boring, ordinary me... That's when I went to Clyde's to talk to him about it…" he said sadly.

The Louds were shocked. Even Bobby was speechless too.

"Lincoln… bro… we-we had no idea…" Luna managed to say.

"Why didn't you tell us?" Lori asked.

"I don't know." Lincoln sighed. "After my talk with Clyde I guess I was so eager to find out our ancestry and find something that could help me be special like all of you I didn't think much about it…"

"Guess that makes sense…" Lana said.

"I can't believe we never noticed you weren't there…" Lori said in guilt.

"We should've checked we had everyone when we were going home." Rita said in guilt.

"It was my choice to go to Clyde's." Lincoln admitted.

"And what Scoots said to you? That's just plain cruel." Lucy scowled.

"Next time I see that old hag I'm gonna give her quite the payback!" Lynn growled.

"I'd be happy to join you." Luan said in agreement.

"One problem at a time you two." said Lori. She faced Lincoln. "So that's what you meant when you were trying to be the Duke?"

Lincoln nodded. "It was selfish of me." he sighed. "While I will admit, I liked helping the town, I should've taken Angus' words to heart. But then when I saw you all do your activities in town, deja-vu happened to me again and I guess I got more jealous."

"Wait you all performed your talents in town?" Bobby asked. "Why didn't you invite your brother?"

"We thought he was busy being the Duke!" Lana replied.

Bobby paused. "Ok yeah I can understand that. Not wanting to bother a royal doing his royal job." he said. "Still, I think the thought would've counted."

"Yeah it would've…" said Lynn, rubbing her arm.

"Wait… is that why you rode Lela around town?" asked Leni.

Lincoln sighed and nodded. "Yeah I guess I was so desperate I listened to Morag."

"Wait, she was the one who gave you that idea?" asked Lynn Sr.

"Guess she took advantage of my jealousy." Lincoln sighed.

Lucy then realized something. She turned to Luna. "Luna, where did you get the idea for us to share our talents with the town?"

"Oh well I was playing the bagpipes in the library when Morag came in." Luna replied. "She told me about how our oldies liked to rock and do other stuff like we did so she…" Luna trailed off in realization. "...gave me the idea to have us all share our talents with the town…"

"Of course." Lucy said, putting her fist into her hand. "Morag was playing us all from the beginning. Playing with Lincoln's jealousy, using him and all of us as pawns in her game, just to make him look back and we'd leave the town, she'd be duchess and have her tranquility."

The Louds were silent as they took it in.

"So she was the one pulling the strings this whole time as you would say." said Lisa.

Lincoln sighed. "Still, part of it was my fault. I listened to her and let my envy get the better of me." he said. "I'm sorry guys… if I hadn't felt so down on myself about being special compared to you I wouldn't have been so reckless and put you all in danger… I was being selfish…"

Lincoln walked away from the group towards the ship's railing. The Louds took in what Lincoln said. Just before they could walk up to him, the wind blowing across the sea blew something sticking out of Lincoln's pocket. It landed on Bobby's face.

"Hey a flier!" he said as he pulled it off. But Bobby's face frowned as he looked at it. He faced the Louds. "Hey guys? Why's Lincoln not in this thing promoting you?"

The Louds were confused. Bobby handed Lori the flier. When Lori looked at it, her eyes widened in shock… and then she glared at Lola.

"Lola…" she said slowly. "Why are you pushing Lincoln out of this picture?"

Lola looked at the picture and gasped. "I pushed Linky out of the photo?!"

"Why would you do that Lola?!" snapped Leni.

"Uncool dudette." frowned Luna.

"That was supposed to be a family photo!" Rita said sternly.

"i-I thought a crew member was in my shot!" Lola admitted. "I didn't know it was Lincoln!"

"Well thanks to you he's not in any of those pictures in Royal Woods!" said Lana. "No wonder no one knows him like they do with us!"

"Hence what happened at Dad's restaurant the night before our trip to Scotland." said Lucy.

"No wonder Lincoln's been down in the dumps feeling like he's in our shadows…" Luna said sadly.

"Because of us…" Luan said sadly.

"I wouldn't go that far." Bobby said. "You didn't know. And it's not like you did it intentionally." he pointed out.

"Still we should've been helping him," said Lori. "Helping him realize that he is special like us, help him get the same admiration we do back home."

"But doesn't he have his friends? That's good attention right?" Lana asked.

"That's true." nodded Lori. "But we have our friends and basically the whole town. Being on TV, interviews, the whole thing."

She looked at her brother. She walked up to Lincoln and placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Huh?" Lincoln asked, turning around. "Lori what-?"

Lori hugged Lincoln tightly.

"Lincoln we're so sorry." Lori said gently.

"For what?" Lincoln asked.

"Well for one thing, for not noticing that you weren't at Dad's restaurant." Lori replied, stroking Lincoln's hair gently. "You should've been in those pictures."

"Yeah Linky." Leni said as the rest of the family walked up. "If it wasn't for you, we wouldn't have gotten those trophies in the first place. You got us to them on time!"

"Like we said after Morag was defeated, you were always looking out for us. Every day." said Lucy.

"And I'm so sorry I shoved you out of the way of the flier!" Lola said sadly as she held it to her brother. "I thought someone was in my shot! I didn't know it was you!"

"And we're sorry we didn't include you in our performances in the town," said Luna. "But to be fair we did think you were busy doing Duke stuff with Angus."

"I can understand that." Lincoln nodded.

"Our point is Lincoln, we meant what we said that day," said Lynn. "You are special. The most special brother we know and love."

"And the most special son too!" added Lynn Sr.

"You're anything but ordinary!" Lana added, hugging her big brother.

"You look out for all of us. And in your own way, you're talented too." added Lori. "All those plans you come up with, helping us every day, being brave when you have to be… you're the loudest of the Louds."

"We appreciate all you do for us." added Rita, hugging her son. "You do it out of the kindness of your heart sweetie."

"And what's why we love you baby bro!" said Luna, ruffling Lincoln's hair, making him giggle. "You are special to us all. And if everyone else can't see that, then that's their problem. Whether you're known for that in Royal Woods, Loch Loud, or even Great Lakes City."

"It's true dude!" said Bobby, coming by Lincoln's side. "You're like the little brother I never had. Sure CJ, Carl, and Carlitos are like that too, but you were first before we moved. And you helped Ronnie Anne bring out her soft side and now she's a tough jock with a heart of gold like Lynn and is one of your best friends. And even if they go south sometimes, I hear your plans to make a difference to your friends and family in the long run. Point is, your family is lucky to have you. These guys, the other ones back in America like your Pop-Pop and Gran-Gran, and those ghosts you told me about in Loch Loud."

"See? You are special just like all of us bro!" said Lynn.

"And we're happy to have you as a part of our special family." Rita added.

"And we're so proud of you to this day." Lynn Sr. added with a firm nod and smile.

Lincoln smiled happily that he almost cried. "Guys… Thank you so much… that means a lot to me…"

Lily toddled up and hugged Lincoln. "I wove you Wincoln Woud!" she said happily.

"AWW!" everyone gushed as Lincoln's family embraced him in a hug.

Lincoln happily accepted it.

Bobby smiled at the scene before Lincolm faced him. "Hey get in here Bobby! You're family too!"

"Yes!" Bobby cheered, pumping his fist as he joined in the hug.

After a while they all separated.

"You know what? When we get back, we're gonna redo those pictures." Rita said firmly.

"Yes! Lincoln helped us earn them by keeping us on schedule, so he should be in them!" said Lana.

"I can try to arrange for new fliers to be printed." said Lisa, adjusting her glasses. "From Loud Sisters to Loud Siblings."

"Don't we also have a billboard?" asked Lynn.

"Ooh! I can ask Mayor Davis if we can change that to include Linky!" said Leni. "I do plan to intern for her for extra money. And she's totes nice and willing to listen!"

"Aw guys you don't have to do that." Lincoln said modestly.

"Duke or not, you earned it bro." Lynn said sincerely. "Especially since it was your plan and bravery that saved Loch Loud in the end."

"And our lives too." added Lucy.

Lincoln smiled. "Thanks you guys…"

"Of course Duke Lincoln… of course." Lori said with a smile.

After a while, they all began to turn in for the night.

Royal Woods:

The plane soon landed in Royal Woods and the Louds and Bobby got out of the airport and made their way to Vanzilla.

"That was so much better than how we got to Loch Loud without the money in the coin jar." said Lincoln.

"Hey, my shining smile helped us, didn't it?!" Lola retorted.

"True. Can't deny that." said Lisa.

"Hey you guys got a Welcome-Home-Party!" said Bobby.

The Louds looked and were surprised to see who was in front of them.

There stood Clyde, Howard, Harold, Albert, Myrtle, Rusty, Zach, Liam, Stella, Carol, Becky, Dana, Miguel, Fiona, Sam, Mazzy, Sully, Chunk, Benny, Margo, Paula, and the Mortician's Club.

"There they are!" said Carol, pointing.

"Welcome back everyone!" Stella.

"We're so glad to see you all again!" said Sam.

"GUYS!" the Louds said in surprise as they all ran over and greeted their family and friends.

"Remember, nothing about us being royalty." Lori said to Bobby. "We'll slowly let them in on the secret someday."

"You can count on me babe!" promised Bobby.

The Loud siblings embraced their grandparents.

"Ha ha good to see you all again!" Albert said happily.

"Good to see you too Pop-Pop!" said Lana.

"Oh I missed you family!" Myrtle said, patting Luan's head.

"We missed you guys too!" said Luna.

"We're happy to be back." said Lucy.

After hugging their grandparents, the Loud kids went to their friends. Rita and Lynn Sr. came towards the seniors.

"Hi Dad!" Rita smiled as she hugged her father.

"Aw Rita it's good to see you again honey." Albert said happily.

"Oh and you too Lynnie!" Myrtle said, pinching Lynn Sr.'s cheek.

"Oh well thank you Myrtle!" Lynn Sr. smiled.

Lori and Carol hugged.

"I'm glad to see you again!" Carol said happily.

"Me too Carol." Lori smiled. "And to think that if we were still rivals months ago, we literally wouldn't be happy to see each other."

"I know right?" Carol chuckled.

"OMGosh I am totes happy you guys came to see us come home!" Leni said happily as she hugged her friends.

"Hey, what are friends for Leni?" Fiona smiled.

"After all Leni-Boo we would miss you if you moved to Scotland." said Miguel. "Then again there are foreign exchange programs but flights aren't so cheap!"

"Aww I missed you guys!" Leni gushed as she hugged them again.

Luna ran up to Sam and the two embraced in a hug.

"I'm so happy to be home with you Sam!" Luna said happily.

"You and me both, Lunes." Sam smiled, giving Luna a big kiss on the cheek.

"It's nice to have the band back together!" said Sully.

"Sully, we haven't formed a band yet." Mazzy reminded him.

"Oh right. We gotta form a real legit band!" Sully exclaimed.

"And we will!" said Luna. "Sharing my music with the town was just the beginning. We can get a band started this summer!"

"I'm game!" said Sam. "Can't wait for all of us to get started!"

"You blokes deserve it." said Chunk. "And I'd be happy to help out with your equipment."

"Thanks Chunk." Luna smiled.

Luan and Benny embraced in a hug, sharing a kiss.

"Oh Luan I'm so happy you're home!" Benny said happily.

"I'm happy to be back, Benny!" Luan said with a smile. "I missed you."

"And I missed you too! I thought I'd never see you for a long time. That's why I bought these glasses to help me see you better." Benny said, putting on some comedy glasses where the eyes sprung out.

Luan laughed. "Aw Benny-Boo I missed your jokes."

Lynn fist and chest bumped her friends.

"Good to have you back Lynnsanity." said Margo.

"Feeling's mutual Margo." Lynn grinned.

"So how was it traveling abroad Lynn?" Paula asked.

"It was nothin' really!" Lynn said casually. "I think I'll be ready to do it again when we go regional in our sports teams."

"One game at a time Lynn," said Margo, patting Lynn's back. "One game at a time."

Lucy approached her club.

"While you cannot see it, we are happy to have you back home Lucy." Haiku drawled.

"I can. And the feeling is mutual." said Lucy. "Sigh. I will miss Scotland though."

"Oh we get it. You did tell us how you managed to summon your ancestor." said Morpheus.

"Oh yes! Quite extravagant that she looks exactly like you." said Boris.

"Lucky how you managed to summon a ghost all on your own in a foreign country." said Persephone.

"Lucille and I had a connection. And not just because we looked alike." Lucy replied.

"Maybe we'll have better chances after your experience with your Scottish ancestors." said Haiku.

"That will be exciting!" Dante grinned.

Lincoln embraced in a hug with his friends.

"Welcome back buddy!" Rusty said.

"We're glad you're home!" said Zach.

"Yeah, more glad than sheep getting it's wool primped and perfected." added Liam.

"So you enjoyed your vacation? Meet your relatives?" asked Stella.

"You could say that." Lincoln chuckled. "But we also did find ourselves there. As a very special family."

"Sounds cliche but we'll take your word for it, dawg." said Rusty.

Clyde suddenly wrapped Lincoln in a big hug.

"LINCOLN!" he cried. "I'm so happy you're home! I thought you were gonna move to Scotland forever! What changed?!"

Lincoln hugged Clyde back before both boys pulled away. "We found ourselves there alright… but we're right where we belong here. Besides, we couldn't leave our home and all of you. I realized that."

"I'm glad! I was not in the market for a new best friend!" Clyde replied.

His dads came up.

"It's true! Clyde was scheduling longer appointments with Dr. Lopez!" said Howard.

"But now that you're back, there will be no need!" said Harold. "Oh thank heavens that the cancellation fee is only minimal."

The group then spotted Bobby.

"Hey what's Bobby doing here?" asked Sam.

"Did he go on the trip with you?" asked Fiona.

"Actually I tried to reach them in Scotland when I thought Lori broke up with me." Bobby replied.

"The signal was bad when we got there." Lori added. "I did try to call him back but I never got a good connection."

"Because I was basically traveling around the world to reach them." Bobby added.

"You did all of that so you could get back together with Lori even though you never really broke up?" Paula inquired.

"That's so romantic!" Myrtle gushed.

"One of these sweetest things I have ever heard!" said Howard, wiping a tear from his eye and began to blubber.

"Easy Howie, easy now." Harold soothed, wiping his husband's tear away… while also struggling not to cry himself.

"Well we're all glad you came home safe and sound." Albert said.

"I think we all are Pop-Pop." Lisa said.

"We should probably get Bobby home." said Lynn Sr. "His family is gonna be wondering where he is."

"I did tell them where I was going!" Bobby chimed in. "…or at least I told Ronnie Anne."

"We'll get you on the next bus home." said Rita.

"We promise to hang out when we get back home and situated." Lincoln told their friends and family.

"Sounds good to us!" said Sam.

"I'll stop by with some delicious Welcome Home Cream Puffs!" Clyde said.

"Thanks buddy!" Lincoln grinned.

After getting in Vanzilla, the Louds drove Bobby to the bus stop.

"Hey. Thank you for traveling all the way to Loch Loud for me Boo-Boo Bear." Lori smiled. "But you know you didn't have to do that."

"Of course I had to! I love you Babe!" Bobby replied. "You're my one and only and I will always cherish what we have no matter how far apart we are. Cities or even countries can't keep us apart."

"Aw Bobby Boo-Boo Bear!" Lori gushed as they embraced in a kiss.

After waving goodbye, Bobby caught the next bus to Great Lakes City.

Great Lakes City:

The moment Bobby was dropped off, he was suddenly swarmed the Casagrandes and was embraced in a big hug.

"Hey family!" Bobby smiled.

"Roberto! You're home!" Rosa said happily.

"Welcome back dude!" said Ronnie Anne.

"Good to have you home!" said CJ.

"Bobby you had us worried sick!" said Maria.

"I'm sorry Mom, I was worried Lori broke up with me for some Scottish guy!" Bobby said in guilt.

"Oh we get it. You did it for love." said Hector.

"Just make sure you get all the facts next time, ok honey?" asked Maria.

"Aye I don't want mis babies traveling around the Earth on a wild adventure!" said Rosa.

"I promise!" assured Bobby.

They all went upstairs.

"So did the Louds come back to America?" Ronnie Anne asked.

"Oh they did!" Bobby replied. "And I got a little something to tell you about it. Next time we're alone."

Ronnie Anne raised an eyebrow. "Really? Why?"

"It's a secret." Bobby smirked. "Oh by the way, who covered for me while I was gone whenever Abuelo was busy?"

"Me, Carlota, the boys, Tia Frida, even Sid." said Ronnie Anne. "So we had to work together."

As soon as they reached the second floor, Bobby was immediately hugged by Sid.

"BOBBY! You're back!" Sid said happily. "Welcome home! How was your trip? What's Scotland like? Did you win back Lori's heart?!"

Bobby chuckled. "Hey Sid! It was long but worth it, kinda pretty, and I never had to! It was all a misunderstanding!"

"Yes! Love conquers all!" Sid grinned.

Ronnie Anne and Bobby just chuckled.

Loud House:

Vanzilla pulled up to the house as the Louds all piled out.

"FINALLY! We're literally back home!" Lori said happily.

"I still miss our castle." Lola lamented.

"We can always go back someday." assured Rita.

They all got out and spotted Mr. Grouse watering his flowers.

"Well look who's back." he said. "The family that lives up to their last name daily."

"Nice to see you too Mr. Grouse!" Leni smiled.

"Admit it, you missed us!" Luan smirked.

Mr. Grouse made a 50-50 gesture. "Maybe. But it's nice to see you all back safe and sound." he said with a small smile.

"Thanks a whole lot!" said Lincoln.

"And thanks for looking after the house." added Lynn Sr.

"It was weird living next to the Quiet House for sometime, but I was more than happy to." Bud replied.

The Louds entered their house and smiled happily.

"Back home in the Loud House." Lincoln said fondly.

"Even though we're back to sharing bedrooms aside from you." said Luan.

"And one bathroom." lamented Lucy.

"We make it work!" Leni said positively.

At that moment, the doorbell rang. Lynn Sr. answered it. In came Clyde with Charles on his leash and Geo in his ball in his free hand, Howard and Harold with Cliff and Walt in their cages, Sam with Hops, Izzy, Bitey, and El Diablo, Haiku with Fangs, and Benny with Gary.

"Hey you all brought our pets!" grinned Lincoln.

"We took good care of them just like we promised." said Sam.

"We all picked them up as soon as you left." added Harold.

"My babies!" Lana said happily as Hops, El Diablo, Bitey, and Izzy ran/slithered up and embraced their human friend/caretaker.

"Sigh. Good to see you again Fangs." Lucy smiled as Fangs perched on her arms.

"Hey Gary!" Luan smiled as she nuzzled her bunny.

"Good to see you again Charles." said Lincoln, holding the dog.

"Well hello again Cliff!" said Lola as she held the black cat.

"Walt my main bird." said Lynn as Walt perched on her finger.

"Geo!" Lily babbled as Geo rolled up to her.

"Clyde also brought these." said Howard, holding up a cupcake stand with creme puffs.

"Alright! Best friends party, you and me in my room Clyde!" said Lincoln.

"Yes!" Clyde cheered.

And they both went upstairs.

"There's no place like home." Luna said fondly.

Loch Loud:

Angus was overlooking all of Loch Loud in the town square with the 1600's Louds.

"We really did quite the bang up job here lads and lasses." Angus said fondly.

"Aye we certainly have." said Lucille. "I've never seen the town so improved."

"Things certainly have changed within 400 years." said Lochland, Lincoln's lookalike.

"Well 400 years is a very long time dear brother." said Lisabeth, Lisa's lookalike.

"Well I think it all looks amazing." said Lenielle, Leni's lookalike.

Lanelle, Lana's lookalike, flew higher above the group. "I can certainly get used to living in a town like this again." she said.

"Aye and we can catch up on all the modern entertainment." said Lunake, Luna's lookalike. "Music, festivals, and those things our cousins call 'movies' and 'TV shows', wouldn't you say?"

"Quite agreed Lunake." said Lorraine, Lori's lookalike. "It feels good to be back home."

"And we couldn't have restored it to its former glory without you and our descendants Angus." said Luanelle, Luan's lookalike.

Angus smiled. "Indeed. All of us working together with the town, fixing it up after what Morag did." he said.

"Are we sure it's a good idea to have that woman still live on the castle grounds after what she did?" asked Lynnie, Lynn's lookalike.

"I do believe in forgiveness." Angus replied. "We will keep an eye on her - especially Lela now that the Dragonstone is destroyed - and if she tries anything she'll be dealt with immediately."

"You really are a good duke Angus." smiled Robina, Rita's lookalike.

"Duke Angus! Duke Angus!" babbled Liliana, Lily's lookalike.

Everyone chuckled.

"Bye the way, while I do appreciate what you said to me when you all came down from the afterlife… do you still consider your descendant worthy of being the Duke?" Angus asked.

The Scottish Loud ghosts smiled.

"Of course we do Angus." said Lionel, Lynn Sr.'s lookalike.

"While yes, he did admit being special was what drove him to be the Duke, Lincoln was still worthy for his bravery in stopping Morag and protecting his family, choosing Lily over the crown, passing it onto you Angus, and I know he still felt good helping the town, especially when we all worked together to rebuild it." said Lochland.

"But you are worthy just like him after all the years you have helped out our town and taking good care of our castle." said Lucille. "That and your selfless heart as gold as the real thing."

Ansgu smiled again. "Much appreciated Louds. Thank ye." he said.

At that moment, Scott approached them.

"Angus, your Majesty! Ghost Louds! We're having a little karaoke party at the fish and chip shoppe." he said. "Would you be interested in attending?"

"If it involved music you bet I am!" grinned Lunake.

"Lead the way me lad." smiled Angus.

"Alright let's go then!" said Scott.

And they all walked/floated to the shoppe.

Royal Woods:

After settling in back home, Leni caught the bus to City Hall and was talking to Mayor Davis.

"So what do you think Mayor Davis?" she asked.

Mayor Davis pondered Leni's request. "Redoing the billboards and fliers promoting your family?" she surmised. "Well it seems like a massive project. Would take a lot of money to put into."

"Please!" begged Leni. "It's for my little brother. Linky's done so much for us! Here, in Scotland, Great Lakes City! He didn't deserve to be left out of the picture! The town needs to know that it's not just the Loud Sisters, but the Loud Siblings! Please?"

Leni gave the puppy-dog eyes.

Mayor Davis tried to resist but found herself smiling. "Okay Leni. This is out of the kindness of your heart. I know I wouldn't want any members of my family left out of anything." she said. "Now that I think about it, I'm sure it won't cost too much. I'll look into it."

"Oh thank you!" Leni said happily.

That evening at Lynn's Table, the Louds began to retake their pictures with the trophies they won the day before they left for Scotland.

"There you go kids! Smile for the camera!" said Rita.

"Loud brother and sisters!" all the kids said together.

"Much better!" said Lynn Sr. "All of our special kids together."

"And don't worry about not having a trophy bro." said Luna. "Trophy or not, you're no loser. You're a winner to us."

"That's cliche Lunes." Lynn remarked.

"Hey, you can't deny it." Luna said.

Everyone laughed.

"Thanks Lunes." Lincoln smiled as the pictures finished. "I'm glad to be here with you guys."

"Feeling's mutual baby bro." Lori smiled. "And we will always mean that. Literally."

Lincoln smiled as the girls put their trophies down and embraced him in a hug.

That night, the Louds were all back asleep in their rooms.

Lincoln looked out his window to the skies, thinking about their vacation and adventure.

"What a vacation…" he murmured. "We found our ancestral castle, I was the Duke, we had a dragon, met our ghostly ancestors, fought against an evil tranquility-loving tyrant, repaired our home town, and made new friends along the way."

He sat on his bed.

"I'm glad I have a special family in life, no matter how much we all live up to our last name or more." Lincoln said fondly. "And it means a lot that they think I'm special like them. I'll always cherish them in my life. We may have our differences, but in the end, none of that matters as long as we stick together."

Lincoln got into his bed.

"Good night Loch Loud… thank you for everything… life is better loud…" Lincoln said as he fell asleep, wondering what else this summer would bring for him and his family.

Hope you all enjoyed it!

I hope you don't feel like this is a repeat of "The Best Special Brother Anywhere Around" given the theme. Besides, I'm sure we all have those repeats in life but need some reassurance once in a while. That's the idea here. Lincoln's reminded of those words in that story from this one and the movie as proper reassurance when old feelings of guilt resurface.

Anyways, I hope you all enjoyed the story!

Rate, review, and I'll see you all soon!

Happy Thanksgiving!
