Chapter 2: The Peace Treaty (2):

Pearl's POV:

"My head hurts," I said, "I had the weirdest dream. The Kappas gave us a dead octopus, which means they want peace, so General Tarron goes to talk with the Kappa Emperor, and I secretly followed him, but then I learned that the Kappas don't really want peace, they plan to take over Lemuria and then something knocked me out from behind!"

"It wasn't a dream," says Prince Same, "I'm sorry, but you were getting too nosey."

I was locked in a cage.

"I can't believe this," I said.

"Well, believe it," says Same.

"Why does your people hate us," I asked.

"Well, for my people, if you paid attention, you'd know what started this war. You know King Barracudon?"

"My ancestor and the first king of Lemuria," I said, "who also happened to be a tyrannical jerk."

"Well, he enslaved the Kappas," says Same.

"That figures," I said.

"Of course, his daughter did free my ancestors, so I guess a mermaid helped us too," says Same, "but to be honest, my Dad and I just want to conquer Lemuria. It's everyone else who wants revenge."

Same: On the low
Only love myself no more
Take you to the grave I'll ghost
I know I can be so cold

In the dark
Where I like to keep my heart
Know I'm all bite, no bark
Like to catch you way off guard

I'll stay so deep inside your brain
And take you somewhere far away

Time to roll the dice
You know I'm the type
Type to risk my life
Not afraid to die
Type to make you cry
Type to put a price
All up on your head
Do just what I said

I'ma straight up villain
Straight up villain
Yeah, no feeling
Yeah, no feeling
Straight up villain
Straight up villain
Yeah, no feeling
Yeah, no feeling

I'm alive but I'm dead
Hear my voice up in your head
Watch it fill you full of dread
Till you go pow

Is it really a surprise
If I'm playing with your mind
And I treat you like prize
Then I throw you to the side
And am I really that bad
If l love to make you mad
And get happy when your sad
Only care about a bag

In control
That's how I like it
And I'm never letting go, nah
Never had a soul
So, you ain't taking anything from me
When you go, nah

I'll stay so deep inside your brain
And take you somewhere far away

Time to roll the dice
You know I'm the type
Type to risk my life
Not afraid to die
Type to make you cry
Type to put a price
All up on your head
Do just what I said

I'm a straight up villain
Straight up villain
Yeah, no feeling
Yeah, no feeling
Straight up villain
Straight up villain
Yeah, no feeling
Yeah, no feeling

I'm alive but I'm dead
Hear my voice up in your head
Watch it fill you full of dread
Till you go pow

Bang bang
You can do anything
No fear, no pain

Listen to your brain go
Go stupid, go dumb, go stupid and
Then we go insane whoa
Just do what I say
Follow me I'll lead the way

Time to roll the dice
You know I'm the type
Type to risk my life
Not afraid to die
Type to make you cry
Type to put a price
All up on your head
Do just what I said

I'm a straight up villain
Straight up villain
Yeah, no feeling
Yeah, no feeling
Straight up villain
Straight up villain
Yeah, no feeling
Yeah, no feeling

I'm alive but I'm dead
Hear my voice up in your head
Watch it fill you full of dread
Till you go pow!

"Same, are you coming or not," asks the Emperor.

"Coming, Dad," says Same, "I can't wait to see your sister." He then swims off.

"You stay away from my sister!" That probably shouldn't be my primary focus. I need to find a way out of here and a way to stop those kappas. I then found one of my human things. I don't know what it's for, but I used it to pick the lock.

. . .

The Kappas have all left, but they left a seahorse behind. I then rode it.

. . .

I had to get past a seahorse parade, crab wrestling tournament, and a codfish karaoke party. Alot more goes on down here then you think.

General Tarron's POV:

The Kappa Royal Family arrived.

"Ianthe, good to see you again," says Same.

"Hey... Same," Princess Ianthe reluctantly says.

"I'm sorry Pearl had to miss this," says the King.

"I'm sure she's fine," says the Kappa Emperor.

Pearl's POV:

I had to go through so many things, almost got caught by a net, and I accidently founded a town I called Bikini Bottom. I finally made it to Lemuria.

"I should rest," I said, "but I really don't have time for that."

. . .

Just as my Father was having that meeting with the Kappa Emperor, I barged in.

"Pearl, what..." I had to shut my Father up because I needed to catch my breath. I shouldn't have lost that seahorse when I founded Bikini Bottom.

"Daddy, the Kappas are lying," I said.

"I'm afraid she's confused," says Same.

"Then, how do you... ex..." I forgot to bring proof.

"Well, this is entertaining," says the Kappa Emperor, "but maybe now we can get back to business."

I then had an idea. "I am so sorry," I said, "I mean, after all, Same was nice enough to give us that dead octopus and it was tasty."

"You're not supposed to eat the octopus," says the Kappa Emperor, "that would be disrespectful." Says the guy who gave it to us as a gift.

"Really, well, too bad, because it was a good feast," I said, "I mean..."

The Emperor then grabs me. "How dare you disrespect our ways?"

"Dad, you're ruining things," says Same.

"Don't try to kill my daughter," says my Father.

"I... I was just... uuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhh..."

"And I believe her," says my Father, "Pearl would never make something up... unless she's trying to get out of being beached."

"Well..."

"Dad, let's just skip to the army," says Same.

The Kappas then attacked us, but our soldiers fought back. I went after Same, and we wrestled.

"Did you really eat the octopus," asks Same.

"Of course not, it was gross," I said.

Same then threw me. "Kappas are natural fighters."

I then remembered something. I gathered my sisters, and we all sang, and our singing turned the water against the Kappas, sending them away.

"I'll get you for this," says Same.

. . .

"I can't believe I almost bought their trick," my Father says.

I was wondering. If our ancestor didn't enslave them..., how would they have turned out?

In the next chapter, the Sirens attempt to get revenge on the Merfolk.
