Chapter 7: Contaminus:
Pearl's POV:
Slippery and I were swimming around an old rock.
"Isn't this the rock we're supposed to stay away from," asks Slippery.
I then thought about it.
Pearl's POV - Flashback:
I just remember my Father saying Bla alot.
Pearl's POV: Present:
"I'm sure it's okay," I said.
"HELP" Someone was crying for help.
"We better take a look," I said.
"I have a bad feeling about this," says Slippery.
. . .
We then swam to the source. There was a hole on the ground, and we saw a pair of eyes in that hole. "Someone has trapped me here for no reason," he said, "you have to help me!"
"I'll see what I can do," I said. I then grabbed a rock and used it to dig the hole. I managed to make it big enough, but then the prisoner got out and I wasn't expecting his appearance at all! He was green, with a black cape, he had this flat nose, fangs sticking out, these creepy eyes, and he was leaving a trail of slime.
"Finally, I, Contaminus, am free! Free to give the Sea a makeover."
"I don't suppose you mean give the coral a different color," I said.
"Not exactly," says Contaminus. He then laughs as he swims away, leaving his gross slime.
Contaminus' POV - Present:
Allow me to explain my story. You know how humans are always throwing things in the water. Like trash for example and that trash has created a new creature... me! A creature whose sole purpose is to pollute the Seven Seas! Now, I think I'll start with a little oil.
Pearl's POV:
Slippery and I were looking for Contaminus.
"Yuck, what is this black stuff," asks Slippery.
"I don't know, but I don't like it," I said.
This gross black stuff was everywhere. It was poisoning the water.
"Look at everyone," says Slippery.
All the sea creatures were getting sick.
"We have to find a way to stop this thing," I said.
. . .
We followed Contaminus' gross trail. There's more of this gross stuff everywhere.
"Why would anyone do this," asks Slippery.
"I can't imagine someone could actually poison our world like this," I said, "we have to gather the others."
. . .
We then talked to the various sea creatures.
"We have to stop Contaminus," I said.
"What can we do," asks an octopus.
"We better face the facts," says a swordfish, "we can't fight pollution!"
"But if we unite, we can save the environment," I said.
Pearl: What makes someone special? I suppose it all depends...
It's what's unique in each of us that we all share as friends...
The difference is our differences, maybe small or great
Variety adds spice to life, so we should celebrate...
In harmony... Harmony...
You're you, I'm me
Together, we can live in harmony
If there was only one note how boring life would be
I'm glad there are so many notes in many different keys
I hear each voice singing with a special quality
And when we sing together, we bring music to the sea!

Pearl/Lemurians: Harmony...
Pearl: You're you, I'm me

Pearl/Lemurians: Ooh, in harmony... Harmony...

We then all worked together to clean up the pollution, but then Contaminus shows up.
"You're ruining my art," says Contaminus.
"Your art is ruining our world," I said.
"I know, that's why I consider it art," says Contaminus.
"We can't let you do this anymore," I said.
"And what are you going to do about it," asks Contaminus, "clean me?" Contaminus was then about to attack us, but for some reason, he couldn't. "What is this magic?"
"It's not magic," I said, "as long as we work together, pollution can never win... I think... that's just a guess. It could be some kind of magic."
We were then driving Contaminus away. "I hate unity, I hate cleanliness, and do I ever hate that little mermaid!" Contaminus is then driven away, and we all go back to cleaning the ocean. If we all work together, we can really make a difference.
In the next chapter, the Kappas try to get revenge.
