Chapter 13: Pearl's Pearls (2):
Bai Tza's POV:
I was sitting on my throne.
"Mother," says my adopted son, Tiburón, he's only ten years old, "I wanted to say great job on..."
"I DIDN'T KILL THAT MERMAID!" I shouted, "I'm sorry for yelling at you, my little guppy, but I only wanted to get that Chamberlain off my back! I can't stand him sometimes. Pearl is going to have to take those pearls off sometime and when she does, she's mine!"
Pearl's POV:
"You are wearing those pearls forever," says my Father.
"But they're starting to feel uncomfortable," I said.
"And they keep you safe from Bai Tza," says my Father, "now go play."
. . .
Slippery and I were swimming when Bai Tza came. She tried to attack me, but the pearls shocked her.
. . .
We were at the Great Barrier Reef. Bai Tza tries to attack me, but she fails.
. . .
We were at Rock Bottom. Bai Tza tries to attack me, but she fails.
. . .
I was in bed. Bai Tza tries to attack me, but fails.
. . .
I was with my sisters. Bai Tza tries to attack me, but fails.
Bai Tza's POV:
"That mermaid is mocking me," I said.
"Maybe you should take a break," says Tiburón, "there's this new killer whale ride. So fast, you could even lose the necklace around your neck."
"I don't have time for that," I said. I then swam away.
Pearl's POV:
"This is starting to hurt my neck," I said.
"Hey Pearl," says Squid, "did you hear about the new Killer Whale Ride?"
"Yeah, let's..."
Bai Tza then appears.
"Bai Tza, you just broke everything when you teleported in," I said.
"I've come to break you," says Bai Tza.
"How'bout this," I said, "you fix everything you broke and I'll take the pearls off."
"I fix the things," says Bai Tza, "you take off the pearls, and I kill you... deal! Say, don't I know you?"
"I'm Squid, you banished me from Atlantis."
"Oh, right. You."
. . .
My friends and I then swam to that killer whale while Bai Tza fixed all the broken stuff.
. . .
We were at the ride.
"I'm a little scared," says Slippery.
"It's going to get scarier," I said, "I just realized I'm not wearing the pearls! I think I lost them somehow!"
"Oh no," says Porcus.
Bai Tza's POV:
"This is humiliating," I said. I then began fixing all the stupid things. I was finally done, but I then realized they were gone.
. . .
I then found Pearl and her friends.
"You dare try to trick me," asks Bai Tza.
"Look, we just want to ride this killer whale," says Pearl.
"Killer Whale?" I then remembered what my son told me...
"Remember, Mother, there's this new killer whale ride. So fast, you could even lose the necklace around your neck."
"Tell you what, I'll join you." I said.
"Pearl, is there something you need to get," asks Porcus.
"I don't want to miss this," says Pearl.
"Fine, I'll get it," says Porcus. The fool then leaves.
"Want to hear a joke," asks Pearl.
"Good luck with that," says Squid, "she doesn't have a sense of humor."
"What do you get when the Sea feels negative," asks Pearl, "A Sea Minus!" I tried to ignore her. "Okay, how'bout this, what do you call a cowardly fish? A scaredie Catfish." I then started to chuckle.
Porcus' POV:
I was searching for the pearls, but then I found them... under her pillow.
Pearl's POV:
Bai Tza was laughing from my latest joke.
"You know," says Bai Tza, "you're not so bad." But when Bai Tza touched me... she then realized something.
"YOU'RE NOT WEARING THE PEARLS!"
"Yes I am," I said.
"No you're not," says Bai Tza.
Bai Tza: Make way, I'm in charge
Your fate is looming large
It won't do you any good to flee
My concoctions never fail
So you'd better watch your tail
No, you wouldn't want to mess with me
When you think I'm on the brink of going under
I've a way of coming out on top
Oh my darling débutante
I always get just want I want
And I want this mucky luck to stop!
I'm the mistress of mystique
With a slender, slim physique
I'm an idol in the sea of infamy
I admit I'm quite a catch
But I've never met my match
So you shouldn't test the best
'Cause you couldn't stand the stress
No, you wouldn't want to mess with me!
Then, just in time, Porcus came with the pearls and puts them around Bai Tza's neck, causing her great pain.
"On the whale," I said.
Bai Tza's POV:
I was sitting on my throne. My neck was still burning.
"I got rid of the pearls," says Tiburón, "they're in an undisclosed location."
"Good, once my neck heals, she will learn the TRUE MEANING OF THE WORD SUFFER!"
Pearl's POV:
"And now Bai Tza has the pearls," I said.
"Well, maybe they'll keep her away from you for a while," says my Father, "but I'm afraid you are never to ride that whale again. Not only was it too dangerous, but it crashed into the palace as well."
"Yeah, it really was too fast," I said.
In the next chapter, Contaminus uses a red tide to poison Lemuria.
