Chapter 15: Double Trouble:

Thessanora's POV:

I used my hypnotic voice to get the starfish to move out of the way so I can talk to the ghost pirate, Mad Eye Duke. We wanted the same thing, revenge on that mermaid, Pearl.

Thessanora: Take this life and throw it away, as dark days fall upon you
Allow the wind to carry it away, wither and destroy you
This world shall fall, and the emergence of a new dawn shall light up the sky
Without fear they ride out for vengeance for as long as the Ravens fly

Mad Eye: At dawn they shall meet, at the comin' o' tide
Embracin' the sight o' winters grasp, wit' blood on thar minds
Visions o' a shadowless land remain by a marooned shore
Thar fate shall soon be decided, wit' no time fer remorse

Thessanora: And vengeance will be ours, they knew this from the start
Mad Eye: Thar warriors died 'n fell from grace, as me cutlass skewered thar hearts
Thessanora: When the moonlight fills the sky, and his worries drown his thoughts
Mad Eye: We shall reach up t' the sky, fer vengeance be wha' we sought

Thessanora: And vengeance will be ours
Mad Eye: 'n vengeance will be ours
Both: They knew this from the start!

"So, are you in," asks Thessanora.

"Yer mother did cause the death o' me an' me crew, but on the other 'and, ye was the daughter o' me first mate... ah, what the 'eck, me 'atred towards that there mermaid be enough to drive me to drink... if I can drink."

"Sorry that my Mother caused you and your crew to end up in your watery graves," I said, "but killing is what we sirens do."

"Me crew all moved on, some up there an' some down there, but because I declared that there I would ne'er set sail me ship, me spirit be stuck in this here boat! The only pleasure I get be trickin' some poor saps into touchin' me cursed treasure. So, what's the plan?"

"We just need to get her sister to touch the treasure," I said, "that girl will regret dumping me when I was taking advantage of her twice."

"Be all yer plans goin' to involve that there one mermaid?"

"I hope not," I said, "that could get boring, couldn't it?"

"Let's go make a mermaid o' fortune."

Pearl's POV:

I was waiting impatiently. I want to hear all about Jewel's date with Nadia.

"Still waiting for Jewel," asks my Father.

"Who me," I asked, "of course I am! I want to know what's going on!"

"I know what you mean," says my Father, "I want to make sure Jewel's alright."

"Daddy, it's not like Jewel could end up... expecting."

"Well... that's true. I just don't completely trust singers."

"Daddy, pretty much everyone in the kingdom is a singer."

"Just tell me when your sister gets here,"

My Father then left and then Jewel arrives. I then tackled her right into our Father's throne. "Jewel, you have to tell me everything!"

"And you have to let me breathe," says Jewel.

I then got off her. "So, how were things with Nadia," I asked.

"Not that great," says Jewel.

"What? But you were with Nadia."

"That's the problem! A Lemurian Princess with a celebrity? Lack of privacy."

"That is a problem," I said.

"I just wish there's a way we can just be ourselves," says Jewel.

"Well, here isn't an option," I said, "Daddy doesn't really like Nadia, plus there are way too many sisters. I'm an adventurer, I can find someplace for you."

Jewel's POV:

I was waiting for Pearl to find something... so far, nothing. Then I found a bottle. I opened it and there was a map. I should see where this leads, because there's something strange about it.

. . .

I followed the map and found an old ship. There was something familiar about it. I then swam near it.

. . .

I was in the ship. This could be the perfect place for me and Nadia to get some alone time. Then I realized why it was so familiar... this was the ship of that ghost pirate, Mad Eye Duke! I then heard his laughter... and the laughter of... oh no! I tried to swim away, but Thessanora and Mad Eye grabbed me.

"Don't set sail just yet, Lassie," says Mad Eye.

"You haven't seen the best part," says Thessanora.

They were taking me to that evil treasure. Anyone who touches it becomes obsessed with treasure. I tried to struggle, but it was too late. I touched it...

Pearl's POV:

"This looks like a private place," I said.

"But it's in Atlantis," says General Tarron.

"What about here," I said.

"The Kappas go there for vacation," says Tarron.

"Maybe in a whale's belly," I said. We then saw Jewel swimming by. "Jewel, we haven't given up yet."

"I'm going to find my treasure," says Jewel. She then flies away.

"Did she say treasure," I asked.

"I believe so," says General Tarron.

"Mad Eye," we both said.

. . .

The royal treasure was sealed up.

"How did she even find that blasted pirate," asks my Father, "search everywhere where there could be treasure! We can't let Jewel become a greedy pirate!"

. . .

General Tarron and I were on our way to Mad Eye's ship.

"That ship should be destroyed," says General Tarron.

I then had a thought. "Wait, what if Jewel didn't mean gold and... well... jewels," I said.

"I'm listening," says General Tarron.

Nadia's POV:

I was getting ready for bed, but then there was a knock on my window. I opened it and something grabbed me in a bag.

. . .

The bag was removed, and I saw Jewel and she took me to this creepy old boat.

"Jewel, where are we," I asked.

"Where we can finally be together, my treasure," says Jewel.

Pearl's POV:

We checked Nadia's apartment.

"I can't believe Jewel kidnapped her," I said, "even I wouldn't do that, and I've been an obsessed fan of Nadia's for a long time."

"But you were right," says General Tarron, "I guess the curse makes you go after any kind of treasure."

"They could be at Mad Eye's ship," I said, "let's go!"

Nadia's POV:

"This is nice, Jewel," I said, "and a little... scary."

"We can finally have the alone time we wanted," says Jewel.

"And did you have to kidnap me," I asked, "I should go..."

Jewel grabs my arm. "I am never letting you go! You're going to stay here with me forever, my treasure!"

"Can you stop calling me that, I asked, "you know how I feel about pet names!"

Pearl's POV:

We arrived at the ship and saw the giant starfish was gone.

"Something's not right," says General Tarron.

We were about to enter, but then we were caught in a trap by Mad Eye and Thessanora.

"Should've known," I said, "you're practically obsessed with Jewel... despite never even really loving her."

"I love how useful she is," says Thessanora, "and while she's holding her girlfriend against her will, we can get revenge on you."

"It be time to make ye pay fer the 'umiliation ye 'ave given us, Mermaid," says Mad Eye.

General Tarron then turns to his shark form and breaks us free from the ropes. He then tries to attack Mad Eye, who has the advantage of being a ghost. I tried to enter the ship, but Thessanora grabs me.

Nadia's POV:

"Jewel, we can't stay here forever," I said, "for one thing... it's a dump and for another, I have a life!"

"A life where no one leaves you alone," says Jewel, "you're my treasure and I'm never going to let you go!"

I then looked and saw Pearl and the Lemurian General were in trouble. "Isn't that your sister," I asked.

Jewel looks and sees Pearl was in trouble and... she started acting like her old self again.

Pearl's POV:

Just as Thessanora was choking me, she got tackled by Jewel. "I am tired of being your pawn," says Jewel.

General Tarron then blows Mad Eye away. "Shimmer me timbers!"

. . .

The Siren got away, but my Father uses his trident to blow up the ship.

"Now, let's hope that takes care of that," says my Father.

"But what happened to Mad Eye," I asked.

"'ELP! can someone 'ere me?" Mad Eye was now trapped in a piece of wood.

"He really can't leave his ship," says General Tarron.

"There is still one thing to do," says my Father. He uses his trident to melt the cursed treasure. "Now, no one will touch it again!"

"Curses, I lost me curse!"

"Nadia, I'm really sorry about...everything," says Jewel.

"Well, being a celebrity, I'm used to obsessed people," says Nadia, "I'm just glad you were only possessed by a cursed treasure."

"So, you're willing to give me another chance," asks Jewel.

Nadia then kisses Jewel on the lips. "Does that answer your question?"

"Thanks, my treasure."

"Just please don't ever call me that again," says Nadia.

"I'm still not so sure about her," says my Father, "but at least she is safe."

"Thessanora's still out there," says General Tarron.

"But we'll take her down next time," I said.

In the next chapter, General Tarron's stuck in shark form.
