Chapter 3: A Girl Worth Fighting For:
Mulan's POV:
So, now I'm engaged. Isn't that great? Then we were called over by Emperor Wu.
"Mulan, we are having trouble with the kingdom of Qui Chong," says Emperor Wu, "the only way to bring peace is for an arranged marriage. We have talked with the kingdom of Joseon, and they agreed for the nieces of the late King to marry the Qui Chong Lord's sons." Honghui's cousins. "We would like you to escort them to Qui Chong."
"But if the problem is between us and them, then why are we going with girls from Joseon," I asked.
"Just go with it," says Emperor Wu.
I know just the men to help me out.
Yao's POV:
The Matchmaker threw me out. "Come back when you have personalities!"
"What's her problem," I asked, "all I said was I wanted a girl who'd worship the dirt I walk on."
"I just said I wanted a girl who'd cook for me day and night," says Chien Po.
"I wanted one who'd love to laugh," says Ling, "and thinks that I'm a God."
"Perhaps we weren't specific enough," says Chien Po.
"Guys, I know who can get us a girl," says Ling, "us!"
Ling: Well, I don't need her to be all smug and snooty
Yao: I got a plaque right here that says I've kicked Infected booty
Chien Po: We have everything we dreamed we'd find when we came back from war
Ling/Chien Po/Yao: Yeah! Everything but...
(A girl walks by, and Yao, Ling, and Chien Po wait for her to go so they can continue their song)
Ling/Chien Po/Yao: ...a girl worth fighting for
Yao: Hey! Suck in your gut!
Ling/Chien Po/Yao: There's a girl worth fighting for
Ling: And I think she wants us to come over!
My girl would laugh at all my jokes, but tell it to me straight
Yao: She'll rub my head when I get sick
Chien Po: And let me pick off of her plate
If Ling can find a girl who likes his chopstick nose trick
Yao: Ooh, he'd really better just propose quick
Ling: Well, I have to say, based on today, I'm cranky
Chien Po: I'll just spend my life with you two
Yao: Pass the hanky
Ling: And there's no-one there to steal my chair
Yao: And twirl around the floor
Ling/Chien Po/Yao: Wish that I had
A girl worth fighting for
Ling: I would be true
Ling/Chien Po/Yao: To a girl worth fighting...
Chien Po: I'd make fondue!
Ling/Chien Po/Yao: For a girl worth fighting...
Yao: I'd even kiss you!
Ling/Chien Po/Yao: For a girl worth fighting... for!
We were then thrown out, where we saw Mulan and Lee Chang Chan Honghui.
"We need your help," says Mulan.
"To save both China and Korea," asks Ling.
"Yes," says Mulan.
"We're in," we all said.
