Chapter 9: I Want To Be Like Other Girls:

Mulan's POV:

I was walking when Princess Mi-Cha appeared in front of me. "I have a question," she asks.

"Don't worry," I said, "that scary noise you heard was Beom-pal snoring."

"OOOOooookkkkaaaayyyy, it was about how you dressed as a man to join the army."

"Oh, then continue," I said.

"Why did you do that, knowing how you could completely embarass your entire family?"

"Wow. Anyway, I had to follow my heart," I said.

"I see." The Princess then left.

I then heard that sound. Is he part lion?

Mi-Cha's POV:

I was writing my note when my sisters came in. "What are you doing," asks Bong-Cha.

"I... I don't want to go through with this!" I then started crying.

Bong-Cha: The life of a princess from her birth is well defined

She must humbly serve her country, play the part she's been assigned.
She guards the hopes of her people, weak and mighty, rich and poor! Who could ever ask for more
Ae-Cha: Who could ever ask for...
Bong-Cha/Ae-Cha: Who could ever ask for more

Mi-Cha: I wanna be like other girls
Climb up a tree like other girls can
Mi-Cha/Ae-Cha: Just to be free like other girls get to be
Bong-Cha: Mi-Cha! Ae-Cha!

Mi-Cha: To slouch when I sit
Ae-Cha: To eat a whole cake
Mi-Cha: Feel the sun on my feet

Ae-Cha: Get dirty
Mi-Cha: Act silly
Mi-Cha/Ae-Cha: Be anything I want to be
Mi-Cha: Dance around
Ae-Cha: In my underwear

Mi-Cha/Ae-Cha: To run really fast
Mi-Cha: Get rid of this fan
Ae-Cha: To eat a whole cake
Mi-Cha: Get crazy
Ae-Cha: With frosting

Mi-Cha/Ae-Cha: No escorts
No manners
No nursemaids
No worries
No hands folded perfect, like holding a lily

Bong-Cha: No pinchy shoes?

Mi-Cha/Ae-Cha/Bong-Cha: I wanna be like other girls
Scrape up my knee like other girls can
Just to be free, like other girls
Get to be

Mi-Cha: To speak for myself
Ae-Cha: To sing way off key
Mi-Cha/Ae-Cha/Bong-Cha: Marry someone I've met, who loves me for me

Bong-Cha: No escorts
No manners
Mi-Cha/Bong-Cha: No nursemaids
No worries
Mi-Cha/Ae-Cha/Bong-Cha: No hands folded perfect, like holding a lily
No pinchy shoes

I wanna be like other girls
Climb up a tree like other girls can
Just to be free like other girls
Get to be!

Chien Po's POV:

I secretly heard the whole thing. Now, I just need something- I then saw a poster and decided to tell the others.

Nichang's POV:

Good thing I set up that poster. Those morons will take the girls and the girls will decide to stay with them and will not be with the men they were meant to be with! I then laughed.

"What are you laughing at," asks the short one. I then left.

Yao's POV:

"What was that about," I asked, "and how am I hearing my own voice?"

. . .

After Chien Po told us everything, we had a plan. "After you," I said.

"No, after you," says Ling.

"No, after you," says Chien Po.

We then got into a fight and wrestled.

. . .

We then ended up in front of the Princesses. "It's... Chien Po had a dream," I said.

"A dream," asks the Princesses.

"A dream," asks Chien Po.

"A dream," I said.

"Oh," says Chien Po, "I was being chased by a clown, a poet, and a painter and we were running into this village of talking beavers and then... it gets weird!"

"Not that dream," I said, "his dream to see the Lantern Fest."

"Oh... that dream," says Chien Po, "to be like other guys."

"It would make him so happy if we could all go," I said.

"Yeah, it would make him very happy," says Ling, "and later he can tell us the rest of that other dream, because now I wanna know how it gets weird."

Mi-Cha and Ae-Cha then beg Bong-Cha. "Well... alright."

"After you," the three of us said.

Mulan's POV:

"I don't understand why so many crazy things were happening," I said.

"I got interesting news," says Mushu, "the Princesses are going AWOL."

"What," I asked.

"Don't you understand Chinese," asks Mushu.

"I gotta go," I said.

Mushu's POV:

I then used the sleeping Seo-bi, Yeong-shin, and Beom-pal as puppets. "Honghui is so strict! He all about duty and stuff. He can be such a stick in the mud." I was using Seo-bi for Mulan's part. Weird that Beom-pal ain't snoring right now. "And boy does his breath stink?" I stupidly used my voice, but luckily, he didn't notice.

Chan Honghui's POV:

I entered the Princesses' tent and found the note.

Chien Po's POV:

At the festival, Ae-Cha and I tried the food. She had just what we needed.

Yao's POV:

I wrestled a guy for Mi-Cha and won her a Teddybear.

Ling's POV:

I tried to make Bong-Cha laugh, but I just have to face the facts, I'm not funny. Then I accidently burnt my hand and Bong-Cha started laughing. "What a cute laughter," I said.

"No... I hate my laugh," says Bong-Cha.

"No, it's adorable," I said, "I thought you didn't have a sense of humor."

"No sense of humor?" She then stuck chopsticks up her nose and we both started laughing.

Mulan's POV:

I then found them. The Princesses revealed that they fell in love with Ling, Yao, and Chien Po. I was excited for them, but then Honghui found us. "What are you doing," he asks, "I will have no more of this! You three are not to speak with the Princesses again! Let's go!"

To Be Continued

In the next chapter, the group gets attacked.
