That night, Jin'ichirō was reading a manga as Suzune made dinner, until the phone rang.
"Kagami residents," said Suzune as she answered the phone.
"Hang on a second; it's for you, bro," said Suzune as she went over and gave him the phone.
"Jin'ichirō Kagami," said Jin'ichirō as he continued reading.
"Mr. Kagami, it's Mana Yamada, I'm a student in your class," said Mana with a strange voice on the other end of the phone.
"Is everything alright?" asked Jin'ichirō as he sat up.
"I did something bad," said Mana before dropping the phone.
"What's wrong brother?" asked Suzune.
"Get an ambulance to this address as fast as you can!" said Jin'ichirō as he pulled Mana's student file out. He then ran out of the house. When he arrived at Mana's address, Jin'ichirō noticed an ambulance leaving the scene and cops standing around.
"Excuse me, did Mana Yamada just leave in that ambulance?" asked Jin'ichirō to an officer.
"Are you a family member?" asked the officer.
"I'm her teacher, she called me and said she had done something bad before dropping the phone, I had my sister call you and headed straight here," said Jin'ichirō.
"I'm afraid that your student cut herself with a knife in an attempt to take her own life, and there are signs that she has done so before," said the officer.
"What hospital did she go to?" asked Jin'ichirō.
"I'll have an officer take you," said the officer as he motioned to another officer to come over.
