Chapter 25: The Kappas' Lemurian Conquest (1):
Pearl's POV:
So, this week was a pretty exhausting week. Monday: the Sirens attacked, Tuesday: it was Contaminus, Wednesday: it was the Codfather, Thursday: it was the Kappas. Now, we're on Friday and...
"That's it, we need a vacation," my Father said, "we're going somewhere where we can relax!"
"The Soldiers are getting restless," says Porcus.
"And my sisters are getting paranoid," I said.
"We just need to find a nice place," my Father says.
. . .
My Father was talking to a starfish named Seymore Seastar.
"I know just the place," he says, "Prehistoria!"
"I've never heard of it," says my Father, "is it a nice place?"
"It's to die for," says Mr. Seastar.
"You're a little too close," says my Father, "and I'm not so sure..."
"Your Magesty, allow me and my associates to explain. Gil? Finster?"
Gil and Finster then go to two pianos.
Seymore Seastar: You're sitting here complaining
About all the stress from who knows where
With so much more remaining
You must be asking where
Can you go for vacation
From the bad things you abhor
Let me tell you Prehistoria's
The place you're looking for
Before you go crazy-
Gil/Finster: Prehistoria
Seymore Seastar: Before your whole family is blue
Gil/Finster: Prehistoria
Seymore Seastar: It's your turn to be lazy
Gil/Finster: Prehistoria
Seymore Seastar: It's time to take time for you
Gil/Finster: Woo!
Seymore Seastar: It's time to say what the heck
Gil/Finster: Prehistoria
Seymore Seastar: There's no cause for alarm
Gil/Finster: Prehistoria
Seymore Seastar: There's a statue of a T-Rex
Gil and Finster: Prehistoria
Seymore Seastar: There won't be any harm
Gil/Finster: Prehistor, Prehistory-Doo
Prehistoria is the place for you
Prehistor, Prehistory-Die
It's the place for you and I
Prehistor, Prehistory-Oh
This is the place you want to go
Pearl: Look at this brochure
I can't believe it's true
This could be the place for adventure
And maybe Slippery can come too
Slippery: A vacation resort?
Porcus: To a place we've never heard of?
Pearl: We have to take a look at this place
I bet we will learn to love
Daddy, can't we go please
It looks like it could be great
We have to make this decision
Before it's way too late
Seymore Seastar: Why sit here just complaining
Why even take the chance
Just come on and trust the starfish
Who doesn't wear any pants
I know it sounds too good (Lemurian Princesses: It is!)
And it seems to be out of nowhere (Lemurian Princesses: You're right!)
But you just have to be there
Doesn't that seem fair (Ianthe: Or doesn't want it be!)
It might seem a tad suspicious
But let me ask of you
Would it matter if the stress gets to your spine
Because of all the stuff that happens to you
From all the attacks that come
To threaten your kingdom
You can just sit here and wait
Or you can choose to have some fun
Prehistory...
Prehistory...
Prehistory...
Seymore Seastar, Gil, and Finster: Prehistoria!
"Well, I'm convinced," says my Father, "we're going to Prehistoria!"
"I'll send for a ride to pick you up," says Seymore Seastar.
"General, keep Lemuria safe," says my Father.
"Yes, Your Highness," says General Tarron.
. . .
I was getting ready to pack. "What's a T-Rex," asks Slippery.
"It's a creature called a dinosaur," I said, "won't this be exciting?"
"I've never been on vacation before," says Porcus, "I know nothing about them."
"You're going to have a great time," I said.
"I just hope while you're there, please don't stress your Father up even more," says General Tarron.
"We're all going to miss you, General," I said. I then hugged him.
. . .
We then took our leave.
General Tarron's POV:
Time to keep an eye on things.
"General Tarron," says Lt. Leith.
"Yes, Lieutenant," I said.
"I saw Mr. Seastar going to the back."
"That's odd," I said, "I'll take a look at this."
. . .
I then followed Mr. Seastar and... he's not a starfish! It was a disguise! It was the Kappa Prince, Same! And those two other guys were kappas too!
"General Ryōseirui, Lt. Giru, great performance," says Same.
"It was a pleasure, my Prince," says Ryōseirui.
"Now, let's make Lemuria ours," says Prince Same.
"Not while I'm here, Kappas," I said.
"Like we didn't prepare for that," says Same, "General against General!"
I took on Ryōseirui. We wrestled. Then he hit me with some kind of strange gas. I then fell a... s... l... e... e... p...
Pearl's POV:
We were in Prehistoria and it was a...really cold place.
"I expected somewhere warmer," says Delphine.
"Well, maybe we can give this place a chance," says my Father.
. . .
Slippery and I were looking for the T-Rex statue.
"There it is," I said.
"It sure is creepy," says Slippery.
I then felt it. "It's frozen in ice," I said. Then an electric shock from Slippery cracks the ice.
"Did I break it," asks Slippery.
The ice cracked and it turns out, the T-Rex wasn't a statue... it was a real T-Rex!
"Oh, would you look at the time," I said, "we should go!"
"Sorry for disturbing you," says Slippery.
We then swam away and the T-Rex chased after us.
. . .
We ran into my Father.
"What has gotten into you two," asks my Father.
"That," says Slippery.
He saw the T-Rex.
"Sometimes, Pearl, I think we all need a vacation from you," says my Father.
"That's fair," I said.
My Father then used his trident to re-freeze the T-Rex.
"Vacation's over," says my Father, "I'm going to have a word with Mr. Seastar!"
. . .
We returned to Lemuria... only to discover it looked a little different.
"What happened," asks Delphine.
Then we saw Mr. Seastar, who then revealed himself to be Prince Same of the Kappas. "Welcome back, I hope you don't mind, but we did some redecorating. Welcome to Yonaguni-2!"
While we were gone, the Kappas took over Lemuria! Same then stood there, laughing at us.
To Be Continued
