Chapter 26: The Kappas' Lemurian Conquest (2):

Pearl's POV:

I then woke up. "I had a terrible dream. The Kappas tricked us into going on a vacation, where we were almost attacked by a dinosaur, but then we came back and found the Kappas have taken over Lemuria!

"Pearl, no matter how many times you do that," says Squid, "it's not going to work and I think you need to get out of bed."

"What's the point," asks Pearl.

"Well, for one thing, I need to do laundry."

We were staying at Squid's and it's a problem because there's so many of us and Squid's place is kind of cramped.

"Thank you for allowing us to stay with you until we can find a way to get our kingdom back, Squid," says my Father.

"I'm sorry for the tight squeeze," says Squid.

Slippery came. "Hey, I saw Nadia and Malila," says Slippery, "should I tell them what happened?"

"No," says Jewel, "I don't want Nadia to ever find out about this! It's too embarrassing!"

"We have to try something," I said, "those kappas have gone too far!"

"What I want to know is, how did they take it from the guards," asks my Father.

General Tarron's POV:

I woke up and saw I was chained to a wall.

"General, you're awake," says Lt. Leith.

"Status, Lieutenant," I said.

"Still single." The Lieutenant then laughs.

"Very funny," I said.

"Sorry, Sir. Anyway, the Kappas used a knockout gas on us and locked us in these cells. I'm afraid they've taken over Lemuria."

"Those rotten little..." I then stopped. "Well, our only hope is if the Royal Family finds a way."

Pearl's POV:

I looked at Lemuria.

Pearl: I've been searching high and low
Looking for that place where I belong
Trying to find my way back home
To the land where I can sing my own song

Overlooked and overshadowed
How will I stand out?
Maybe now I can be
Here on this side of the sea
With all my family standing beside me
They just might be the key

Can I find my kind of connection
And a whole new direction to call my own?
Staring back at my own reflection
With a love and affection
Now I know, I'll always find my way back home

I've been waiting for my time
For a chance to tell my story
Trying to stand out from the crowd
Get away from sibling purgatory

Overlooked and overshadowed
How will I stand out?
Maybe now I can be
Here on this side of the sea
With all my family standing beside me
They might just be the key

Can I find my kind of connection
And a whole new direction to call my own?
Staring back at my own reflection
With a love and affection
Now I know

I've always been the one who's taken care
When will my soul tracks today

Chorus: Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey!

Pearl: Can I find my kind of connection
And a whole new direction to call my own?
Staring back at my own reflection
With a love and affection
Now I know, I'll always find my way back home!

I then decided there was only one thing to do.

. . .

While my Father slept, I snuck up to him and took his trident. I'm going to take on the Kappas.

. . .

I was then swimming back to Lemuria.

"Where do you think you're going," asks Porcus. Turns out, he, Slippery, and Squid were following me.

"I was..." I began.

"Going to take on the Kappas," says Squid.

"Well... yes," I said.

"With the trident," asks Slippery.

"The Kappas took our home," I said, "I have to make them pay!"

"Well... you can't do it alone," says Porcus.

"We're coming with you," says Slippery.

"Really," I asked.

"I kind of want my space back," says Squid.

I then hugged them. "Thank you!"

. . .

We were sneaking around. The Kappas have captured Raine, Bottlenose, Nadia, Malila, and Rimulus.

"You guys were all friends with Pearl, right," asks Same, "to the Dungeon!"

"I will never fear sea creatures like you," says Rimulus.

"There are no sea creatures like me," says Same.

"There will always be sea creatures like you," says Rimulus.

I looked at the trident and had an idea.

. . .

"Can the trident do this," asks Squid.

"Only one way to find out," I said. I then used the trident and a portal opened and out came an old enemy turned friend.

"Why, if it isn't pearl, the little mermaid," says Mad Eye Duke, "'ow 'ave you been?"

"I've been great, Captain," I said, "and I might need your help with something."

. . .

So, Mad Eye used his ghostly abilities to scare many of the kappas away.

"What's going on here," asks Same.

"This palace is haunted," says a kappa.

"Great, crazy kappas," says Same, "there is no such thing as ghosts!"

"Tell the ghost that!" The Kappas then left.

Mad Eye and I then high fived.

. . .

My friends and I then snuck into the dungeon.

"Princess," says General Tarron.

"I'm glad to see you," Bottlenose translated for Raine.

"We're going to get you all out of here," I said. I then realized I wasn't holding the trident.

"Looking for this," says Same, who has captured Mad Eye with it. "So, ghosts are real. Who knew?"

"Me first act as a jolly scurvy dog an' this here 'appens," says Mad Eye, "what be the odds?"

Same then sends him back to Davy Jones' Locker. "You better give up, Mermaid," says Same.

"Never," I said.

"Suit yourself," says Same as his kappas lock us up and then leave.

"What do we do," asks Nadia.

"We find a way out of here and take that kappa down," I said.

King Pacific's POV:

I woke up and realized my trident was missing. "Pearl," I said.

Pearl's POV:

Using mainly spoons, we dug our way out of the dungeon.

"How did you know this would work, Malila," I asked.

"I... have a life I don't want to talk about," says Malila.

"Let's go," says Squid.

. . .

We found the throne room and Same was sitting on my Father's throne.

"I could get used to this," says Same, "maybe now, Ianthe will want to be my queen."

"That slimy, disgusting, dirty, filthy creep," says Malila.

"I understand you like Ianthe," I said, "but that was still very specific."

"She's a neat freak," says Nadia.

"You would not like Contaminus then," I said, "let's go for the trident."

We were sneaking around, but then...

"Hello Pearl," says Same, who then uses the trident against us. He was zapping us. We tried to fight back, but there was no use in it. "Nice try."

"Same," says my Father, "this ends now, young Kappa!"

"Ooh, what'cha gonna do," asks Same, "poke me? I have your trident, thanks to your daughter!"

I then tackled Same, and we both fell out of the throne room.

. . .

Same and I were both on the ground. Just as Same was about to attack me, the trident was falling towards us and... let's just say Same won't be a problem anymore.

. . .

My family and I have our kingdom back and the Kappas left.

"Daddy, do you think what happened to Same was my fault," I asked.

"It was his own doing," says my Father, "but I fear the Kappas won't think that."

Emperor Kaiyō's POV:

My son... my son... my son is gone. Lost forever. It's all because of that mermaid, Pearl! She took my son's life! She will pay for this! She will pay!

Pelboss' POV:

After all this time, I finally found my fellow sea dragons and we were having a meeting.

"The time has come to discuss the worthiness of the merpeople," says Grergu.

"The Mermaid Pearl has a kind heart," I said, "she was willing to befriend me."

"And save the whales," says Mikyno.

"But she is too obsessed with the humans," says Shenno.

"And she continues to put her friends in danger," says Ymroth.

"She also broke the laws of life and death to summon that ghost," says Fezinth.

"But she also saved her Father's Kingdom," says Lodhuphiss.

"All are good points," says Grergu, "but we cannot judge her entire species based on what she does. We will continue observing them. To see if they are worthy of the gifts we gave them, for if not, we will take them away. Meeting adjourned."

In the next season, Slippery will become a Werepiranha. Also, Bai Tza pulls all the stops to try to kill Pearl. Plus, there will be new villains.
