Chapter 23: Jump Good (1):
Jack's POV:
We journeyed through the jungle to find this next time portal.
"I wonder who did set up these up," asks Peter.
"Probably a genius," says Jill.
We then made it to the portal. It was made of blue and white circles.
"There it is," I said.
"It's beautiful," says Jill.
Then Aku's beetledrones came.
"I saw that coming," says Peter.
I then fought them, but then Aku came.
"Aku," I said.
"The little Samurai and his friends," says Aku, "come for the time portal? Why don't you try and take it?"
I tried to jump for it, but I couldn't reach it.
"This is an embarrassing sight," says Peter.
"You can't," says Aku, "because you are just a little puny pathetic fool!" Aku then laughs and leaves.
. . .
We were then camping out.
"How are we going to get to that time portal," asks Peter.
"I do not know," I said.
"Alright, which one of you took my berries," asks Jill.
Something is stealing our food. I then caught him. "I'm sorry." He was a strange creature. He was hairy and he was wearing a loin cloth.
"What kind of creature are you," I asked.
"I Man like you and him," the strange Monkey Man says.
"I have never seen a man fly," I said.
"No, Jump Good."
"I'll say," says Jill, "you could reach Aku's eyes."
"Come, follow me."
. . .
The Monkey Man took us to meet his tribe, a family of white ape like creatures.
"You are one of these creatures," asks Jack.
"No, I Man like you." Then it was dark and when the lights were back on, we were in a lounge and the Monkey Man was on stage, dressed as a lounge singer.
Monkey Man: When I was a boy
I had this tribe
We were all slaves
It's hard to describe
The robots were mean
And so was this dude
Viceroy was his name
With an attitude
Then the White Apes came
And they got me out
Viceroy didn't notice
So, he didn't shout
I've been living with them
They're awesome dudes
And I've been learning
How to jump good
Now I feel as light as a feather
It's like I can fly
And I get a pretty sweet view
Of the entire sky
Now I'm part of the tribe
They're my new family
Life is sweet
And I am happy
But sometimes I wonder
How my old gang is doing
Those robots are mean
I should start suing
But they can't catch me
Because I'm a light dude
They won't take me
Because I can jump good
Yeah Baby
I can jump good
Ya heard me
I can jump!
Then everything was back to normal. "That my story."
"But how can you sing in complete sentences and talk... like this," asks Peter.
"Not sure, ask White Ape Dad."
. . .
"It simple, I raised by frog."
"But that doesn't explain..." Jill begins.
"And I raised by rock."
"I'm... even more confused," I said.
"Me too," says the Monkey Man.
Then there was an attack. These red ape creatures came, and everyone was forced to hide while the red apes took their food. I then tried to defend the White Apes. I managed to fight them off and scared them away.
"What was that," asks Jill.
"Other Tribe," says the Monkey Man, "they come and bully us and take our food."
"Why do you not defend yourselves," asks Peter.
"We peaceful like flower, but they mean like cobra!"
"Perhaps I can teach you to defend yourselves," I said.
"You would?"
"And you can teach us how to jump good," I said.
"No. I mean yes."
Aku's POV:
It was good to taunt the Samurai.
"Sir, I think you were wasting time there," says the Chamberlain.
"Sorry to interrupt."
"What do you want, Viceroy," asks the Chamberlain.
"I hear this Samurai has been destroying my Beetledrones," says Viceroy.
"And what would you like to do about it," I asked.
"Say hello to the Hercules Beetle," says Viceroy, "the next stage in Beetledrone!"
"I live to serve Aku," says the Hercules Beetle.
"Sir, the Samurai can't get to the portal as long as you have it," says the Chamberlain.
"Viceroy, I will give your Hercules Beetle a chance," I said.
"Thank you, Aku," says Viceroy.
Jack's POV:
Jill, Peter, and I began teaching the White Apes.
"Just follow our instructions," says Peter.
Then the ground started to shake.
"Earthquake," asks the Monkey Man.
Then a new drone came out of the ground. It was bigger than the usual ones.
"What are you," I asked.
"I am the Hercules Beetle and I have come to destroy the Samurai!"
"Not see that coming."

In the next chapter, Jack meets Viceroy. As you probably notice, Viceroy is not a Cartoon Network character.
