The Sun shined once again on another beautiful peaceful day in the Pridelands as all the Pridelanders went off to their normal duties and routines,Simba and Nala sat on priderock overlooking the kingdom with proud smiles on their faces,ever since Scar's defeat and the hyenas disappeared the Pridelands have begun to return to it's once beautiful visage however the stink of Scar's reign and how it affected some people left wounds that many were struggling a little bit to heal,the most impacted was Nala.
Nala's smile began to slowly leave her as she began to think back to the absolute nightmare she and her friends went through at the paws of Scar,Simba noticed Nala expression change and like a good mate was worried about her and wanted to help "Nala wants wrong?"Simba asked with concern "Nothing Simba just bad memories resurfaced."Nala said glumly Simba nuzzled Nala a little bit having a little idea what it's about "It's about my Uncle's reign isn't it,Nala dear he's gone and I'm here,he can't hurt you or anyone else again neither can the hyenas, nothing like that will ever happen again."Simba said in a comforting tone.
"Yes but it's the fact that it did happen is the most upsetting thing to me and to all of us,The vile things the hyenas did and the vile things Scar tried to do to me."Nala said greatly upset Simba looked at Nala in confusion "What did he do to you?"Simba asked more concerned that before Nala stared at Simba,she honestly didn't want to tell Simba this at any point but he'd find out sooner or later by the dreaded grapevine so she figured it be best coming from her and now.
"Simba I told you that I left the pridelands to search of help,but that wasn't the only reason I also left to avoid becoming Scar's queen."Nala said making Simba look at her with shock with a hint of anger "His Queen?"he asked "Yes, Scar wanted everyone to respect him, like that'll ever happen, but instead of fixing the problems he caused the Pridelands,he decided that he needed a Queen to rule beside him and I was the unlucky candidate, ugh the things he said to me it was utterly disgusting and creepy,and he made some aggressive advancements towards me,I honestly thought he was actually going to..."Nala paused as she had an extremely hard time saying that word but Simba already knew what she was trying to say.
"I had to get out of here Simba,I had to get away from him and find help, and thankfully I did in the form of you."Nala said nuzzling Simba who had a greatly furious expression on his face which turned into sadness and guilt,now he felt even more bad about not having the courage to not return to the pridelands sooner, otherwise he would've ended Scar's atrocious reign much sooner and Nala wouldn't have to go through that no one in the Pridelands would have to go through his uncle's tyranny.
"I feel absolutely horrible for leaving my mother and my Lioness sisters alone with that monster and the hyenas,I prayed every second that Scar didn't trying anything with any of them, I'm too scared to ask around."Nala said with a soft whimper. "Don't Nala, don't torture yourself with that, whatever Scar did if he did anything at all, he payed for it,he can't hurt anyone again or you, I'm here Nala,for you and for everyone."Simba said firmly just as upset as Nala is.
Nala looked at Simba with a reassured smile he always knew what to say to make her feel better and she knew he was right now that Simba is king things will go back to the way they were before and maybe things will get even better. Nala rested her head against Simba lovingly as they continued to watch the Pridelands.
