Chapter 33: The Thief:
Jack's POV:
After I saved a tribe from extinction at the hands of Aku, they gave me a map to mystical artifact that could allow me and my friends to travel back in time. While Peter and Jill are helping the Resistance, I am going to find this artifact. I will bring it back to them. Aku keeps it locked away in a vast labyrinth filled with guards and deadly traps in a pyramid shaped fortress. I snuck in, wearing black ninja garb. I hope there are no complications.
The Thief's POV:
I'm a man of mystery and I keep it that way. With my high-tech briefcase, I can break into anywhere and the diamond the great Aku keeps locked up is going to be mine and nothing's going to stop me.
Jack's POV:
Using my own skills and traditional methods, I was able to sneak through the traps. Once I find that diamond, my friends and I will be able to return home.
The Thief's POV:
Using my tech, I'm able to get through the traps. Once I find that diamond, I'm going to be rich.
Jack's POV:
Next, I had to get past a sleeping rock creature.
"Raddah... Raddah..."
I was careful not to wake him.
The Thief's POV:
I had to get past a sleeping big nosed kid.
"Same... as... it... ever... was."
Weird kid.
Jack's POV:
I then finally made it to the center and found the diamond. Just as I was about to grab it...
"I wouldn't do that if I were you," says a strange man dressed in white, "you're liable to vaporize your hands."
"Who are you," I asked.
"Funny, I was about to ask you the same thing."
"They call me Samurai Jack."
The stranger then laughs. "Four thousand years, and still every wannabe super-spying black tights has to use that same old tired joke. Ooh, I'm a dark ninja. Sneaky-sneaky, whoo! You can't see me! Huh! A little respect for the J-O-B. Excuse me. This thing is alarmed. Trip the alarm and none of your fancy-schmancy kung-fu moves would've saved you." The stranger then uses his brief case to take the diamond. "Piece of cake."
"Wonderful," I said, "thank you."
"Woah, this isn't yours!"
"Yes, it is!"
"No, it's not!"
"Yes, it is!"
"No, it's not!"
"Yes, it is!"
"No, it's not!"
"Yes, it is!"
"No, it's not!"
"Yes, it is!"
It seems our arguing has woken up the rock creature as he showed up. "RADDAH!"
He then tried to punch us, but we managed to dodge him. The Thief tried to hit his arm, but... "OW! What's this guy made of, rock?"
"I believe he is," I said.
"In that case, later." The Thief then left with the diamond, and I was alone with the rock creature.
"Raddah-Raddah!"
"I have no idea what that meant," I said.
The Rock Creature and I then fought.
"Hey," says Billy, "who says you can fight without this?" Billy then plays a radio.
Singer: Oh yeeeeeaaaaah!
What are you lookin' at?
You think you're kinda bad?
I know you're thinkin' that you wanna try to knock me down
Well, go on, punk, and bring it
Just throw it down and wing it
Got somethin' heavy? Swing it
Gonna try and knock me down
You think you gotta hand, ya better play it
But don't be surprised if you pull back a stump
That chip on your shoulder, I think ya better weigh it
'Cause I'm just gonna say it
If you're feelin' froggy, then jump
Just jump
If you're feelin' froggy, just jump
You think you've got the stuff?
You think you're tough enough?
Then just roll up a cuff and come and try to knock me down
You think you wanna dance?
Come on and take a chance
Not worth a second glance, you wanna try to knock me down
So just say you're all in and let the chips fall
And then we can find out who's the real chump
If you think I'm gonna fold, then you could win it all
Then I'm gonna call
If you're feelin' froggy, just jump
If you're feelin' froggy, just jump
If you're feelin' froggy, just jump
Come on
If you're feelin' froggy, just jump!
. . .
I managed to get away and I found the Thief with the diamond.
"Oh, hey, you got away from Rockhead," he asked.
"Yes," I said, "you must give me the diamond!"
"Hey, I took it," says the Thief, "so it's mine!"
"I need the diamond so my friends and I can return to our time," I said.
"Well, I need it for money," says the Thief.
"I... wait, I think he's coming," I said.
"Raddah-Raddah!"
"You sure about that," asks the Thief, sarcastically.
"RADDAH!"
The rock creature and I then engaged in another fight. I saw that the Thief left again.
"I will defeat you, Rock Creature," I said.
"Raddah-Raddah!"
Then a rope came. "Grab on to it," says the Thief. I then grabbed the rope and left the rock creature.
. . .
The Thief and I then moved pretty far from the rock creature. "Think we lost Boulder Brain," asks the Thief.
"Perhaps," I said, "now, when we get out of here, we still need to discuss what to do about the diamond."
"Look, I got the diamond, it's mine!"
"I have an important reason to take it," I said, "once my friends and I return to our time, we will be able to take down Aku and prevent all of this from happening."
"As much as I don't care for Aku, I still want money." The vent then began th shake. "It's him, ain't it."
. . .
We then fell through the vent and were faced with the rock creature again.
"How much is he being paid," asks the Thief.
"Raddah-Raddah!"
"We must move," I said.
We then ran and the rock creature chased after us. Luckily, being made of rock made him pretty slow. "Raddah..."
"I think I have an idea," says the Thief, "but here comes the problem. What's harder than rock?"
"I see, we may have to sacrifice the diamond," I said.
We then both came to an agreement and the thief threw the diamond at the rock creature, causing him to fall to pieces. "Oh, Raddah!"
"Language," says the Thief.
We then walked over to the diamond, but it then fell to pieces.
"Oh yeah, didn't you guys know," says Billy, "it's actually made of glass. But the magic time traveling thing was real."
The Thief then starts crying. It seems both our journeys were foiled.
