Chapter 36: Marceline:
Jack's POV:
Johnny and I were taking on the General and Ani.
"They make me so mad," says Ani, "so mad!"
"Everything makes you mad," says the General.
"I think we're getting closer to the Photo Booth," says Johnny.
"You mean Gauntlet of Time," I said.
"Right, what did I say," asks Johnny.
We had to get past these two. I got out my sword and used it to slice the General's arm off while Johnny distracted Ani with hair spray. We then ran in the temple.

We started looking around.
"That gauntlet's got to be around here somewhere," says Johnny.
"I don't see it," I said.
Johnny then finds a note. "Bad news," says Johnny, "Aku was here, and he already destroyed the gauntlet."
"Then we came for nothing," I said.
Johnny then gets so mad; he kicks a box. "Ow," the box says.
Johnny and I are both confused. We then opened the box. It was a girl with pale skin and dark hair... and bite marks on her neck. She then wakes up and was floating in the sky. She then showed her fangs.
"You a vampire," asks Johnny.
"Yep," she says.
"Got it," says Johnny.
We then ran out.

We were back at Dexter's Laboratory where we saw Jill, Peter, Dexter, and Frankie looking at a wall.
"Is there something interesting about that wall," I asked.
"That M symbol has been there for years," says Frankie, "we're just trying to figure out what it means."
"I know," says Johnny, "Morons, because that's what we are. Aku already got to the gauntlet. Oh, and there's a vampire on the loose."
"Is that her," asks Peter.
We looked and saw the vampire followed us. "Hey there," she says.
"Back off, Demon," I said.
"Woah, easy, I just came to rest. Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Marceline, the Vampire Queen and this is my place. See?"
"So, then that is your mark," says Dexter.
"Yep, but I'm not comfortable with all you people being here," says Marceline.
"What do you mean," I asked.
"I'm going to have to kick you all out so I can rest here," says Marceline.
"But we need this place as a base against Aku," says Johnny.
"And this is my laboratory," says Dexter.
"Well, technically, it's mine now," says Marceline.
"Look..." says Frankie, but then I stopped her.
"This is legally hers," I said, "we must honor that. Let's go."

And so, the entire Resistance had to relocate.

Without a place to stay
If Aku finds out
He will win this very day
They tried a cave in the forest
That seems like a nice place
But the bear that lives there

Maybe the sewers will do

Never mind, this is not well

Jack wanted to honor
Because he was raised right
But his sword
Could cut that vampire

It can hurt Aku's empire
Oh, Marceline
Why are you so mean?
Marceline: I'm not mean, I'm a thousand years old
And I just lost track of my moral code
Singer: Oh Marceline
Can't you see these guys are in pain?
Marceline: No, I can't
I'm invested in this very cute video game
Singer: So, now all is lost
For the fighters of freedom

They're doomed by that evil scum!
"Johnny," says Major Glory.
"Yeah, Major," asks Johnny.
"We were all talking," says Major Glory, "and... well, Val Hallen's thinking of returning to the realm of the Gods and if the rest of us weren't mortals, we'd join him. We can't live like this! Why can't Jack just cut her?"
"She did own the house we were in," says Jack.
"Aku owns the world, but that doesn't stop you," says Major Glory.
"No, but Aku never obtained it legally," I said.
"For all we know that vampire took that house illegally," says Major Glory, "we haven't found..."
"Everyone," says Pearl, "we found something!"

The Crystal Gems' old base.
"I always loved this place," says Pearl.
"Can everyone fit here," asks Frankie.
"That is something we'll have to work on," says Pearl.
"That's the least of your worries," says Marceline as she showed up.
"What do you want," asks Johnny.
"Wait, she's the vampire you were talking about," asks Pearl, "uh-oh."
"Hey Pearl," says Marceline.
"How do you know her," asks Major Glory.
"She was our landlady," says Garnet.
"Wait, you mean..." Peter begins.
The Crystal Gems' old base belonged to her as well. "So, I'm going to have to kick you all out," says Marceline.
I then got out my sword. "Enough of this," I said. I then leaped and Marceline turned to a giant bat monster, but I cut her. "This sword harms Aku himself!"
"This should be fun," says Marceline, but then Aku appears.
"So, it is true, the entire Resistance, right here in front of my eyes," says Aku, "capture them all!" The Beetle Drones then came. "Now, who do I have to thank for this?" Aku then sees Marceline. "So, you are the one. And I know the perfect reward, vampire, consumption!"
"Wait, you're going to eat me," asks Marceline.
"Usually, I prefer souls," says Aku.
Then we heard an emo ghost. "It stinks in here!"
"But a vampire would be interesting," says Aku.
"She may have left us without a base," I said, "but I will not allow you!" I then fought Aku. The Resistance took on the drones. Aku and his drones then left. "Now, for you..."
"Relax, Swordsman," says Marceline, "you just saved me. I think that earns you your base back."
"You mean it," says Dexter.
"That's right, you can have your lab back too, Shorty."
Dexter then hugs Marceline. "Oh, thank you, Miss Creature of the Night!"
Marceline then turns to fog and leaves.
. . .
We were back at the base.
"Let's get some garlic and stuff so she'd never come back," says Johnny.
The question is, if she does come back, would she be friend or foe?
