Wade Ripple swore to her as he hugged her and cried his eyes out with happiness: that day was the best of his entire life.

And of course it was that for Ember Lumen: knowing that the most beautiful boy or girl in the world was blossoming inside her was also going to make it the best day.

That night when Wade was taking dinner out of the oven, it was his girlfriend's scream calling him from the bedroom upstairs where they were both sleeping together that completely changed everything he did. The waterman had told her that he would take care of dinner that night and told her to wait far away so that it could be a surprise, not knowing what she would also be doing now that she was alone, he asked her father-in-law the recipe to prepare his fiery girlfriend her favorite food...he just hoped that she wouldn't mind that the surface was left on the edge of ashes.

Ember was sitting on the edge of the bed, looking at the result of what was her third pregnancy test that day, all three gave the same result, all three had two pink stripes, which according to the back of the box, indicated positive. Realizing this, she rushed to call Wade, almost as if it was a cry for help, asking for his attention as quickly as possible. After that she only had to wait for Wade to arrive, those simple seconds of waiting and total silence were enough to make her feel like the adrenaline was running through all her flames, her face was tense and the serotonin caused the smile to not leave her face, she played with her hands awkwardly while her fingers trembled innocently…knowing it was already like a wave, but telling her partner the news and seeing his reaction was going to be much bigger. Ember was prepared for that room to be flooded with lava and water, creating obsidian.

"WADE, COME, COME, COME UP, JUST COME AND THAT'S IT, COME ON!" Only that was heard hitting the walls all the way to the kitchen.

With his gloves on and very carefully and slowly so as not to end up evaporating, Wade began to take the metal tray out of the oven, trying to put it on the wooden board that was on the counter, but as soon as he received that call he panicked. Suddenly dropping that tray and throwing it on the table, he looked in horror at where the sound was coming from and ran towards the room, even stumbling on the floor, hitting the walls and slipping when climbing the stairs. The worst possible scenarios were already happening in his mind.

"EMBER?" Wade opened the door suddenly and looked for her with his eyes. Seeing her back on the bed, he went to her and sat down next to her, taking her hands and clinging to his chest. He looked very distressed "EM, WHAT'S UP? ARE YOU HURT?"

Ember didn't say anything, in fact, as soon as she had him in front of her holding her hands with his pretty blue eyes and an anguished voice questioning her well-being, she smiled slyly and sobbed moved.

"Oh, Wade..." Ember hummed, happiness had never been that volt.

In response, Wade was now confused, besides being worried, more so because of his partner's strange behavior. When he saw that she was crying, he didn't take long to take her cheek and wipe them with his thumb, which caused a little steam between them.

"Ember, please tell me what's going on, whatever it is...I know we can get through it together," Wade told her, firmly taking her by her hands, even though he was a little scared of what it could be.

She knew that if she continued like this, she was going to scare him more, so she tried to calm her breathing and keep order in her euphoric head. She once again caught his attention and so, she took his two water hands and left something between them, keeping them closed, but it was not necessary for Wade to open his hands to see what it was, since his water hands made much more focus to that test and especially to those two lines that indicate the result... it took him a little while to assimilate and understand everything that this was entailing.

His chest swelled a little as he breathed and his eyes filled with tears and lit up as he looked at the fiery lady, now he couldn't stop smiling. He soon grabbed her in his arms to hug her while spinning her around in the air, both laughing, screaming and crying from the affinity of knowing that they were going to form a family. And of course, releasing exaggerated waterfalls of tears while crying like he never cried before, Ember in response did nothing more than cling to his chest and roll her eyes with a loving smile, although she also shed small lava tears, in that warm affection.

They had talked about it many times, always during their sleepless nights or hours of television, the talk about having a family fell on some schedule, in a subtle and sometimes organic way. Ember was the first to bring it to the table and Wade was the last to bring it up on the couch. The truth was that...they both wanted to have children together, they had been together for a long time since they became a couple, their love had remained firm as a stone since that day they decided to have eachother in their lives forever. Since that time, 6 years had passed and it was 3 years since they decided to live together, nothing had changed, they were still there, holding each other's hands and standing firm even when their worlds seemed to be destroyed.

Of course they wanted each other...and of course they wanted to be able to have a family, the two of them having a beautiful baby, the reason for their sleeplessness and possible machine short of patience, raise a little boy or girl and show the

that wonderful world in which they lived and protect them from those that wanted to harm them.

and finally it was going to happen...

"T-this is the b-best day of my life~..." Wade sobbed, wiping away his tears, just by hearing those words, "Pregnancy" "baby" he felt like he would turn into a puddle on the floor.

Ember caressed his cheek, before closing the distance between them with a tender and moving kiss to which Wade was quick to reciprocate. When they separated, the fiery one took one of her boyfriend's hands and slowly placed it on her black-covered belly, even without a visible tummy.

"I know you're going to be a wonderful dad..." Ember murmured sweetly.

The water guy caressed the belly of his fiery bride with great affection, in his mind now all thoughts and pending had disappeared. He was already excited about the life that awaited him with the love of his life. It made him very happy to know that a baby was now inside Ember and that soon her belly was going to grow little by little, he even wanted to get clothes for their future offspring.

"I love you Ember Lumen and I love this little one that's growing in you..."

3 months, 18 weeks, 5 days.

Family Sundays were truly pleasant and beautiful, especially when everyone was gathered with the sole purpose of having a good time together. Wade even invited Ember's parents to make her happier, although these two didn't really understand the Ripples and their gameS, but they got along genuinely well and Bernie always tried to do her best for her daughter.

That afternoon the pizza was still in the oven, so they had to wait a while and there was nothing better to kill time than a good round of the crying game. After Alan had made his mother cry and Wade had made his nephews cry, both with tragic stories and poems, it was the sapphics turn

"and so Romeo took the poison, just when Juliet wakes up from her eternal sleep" Lake recounted dramatically, turning pale between sobs, they could notice how their girlfriend was pouting "When she saw that she lost the love of her life, she took her husband's sword and placed it in her chest, leaving with him to finally be happy in the afterlife...their forbidden love led them to death"

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!" Ghibli burst into tears, immediately hugging her partner in search of comfort "THEY ONLY WANT TO LOVE EACH OTHEEEEEEER!"

"And my daughter won this round as always!" Brook stated amusedly, holding that hourglass.

"You're a jerk~..." Ghibli cried, she always cried when they told her William Shakespeare's story.

"I'm sorry baby, but I had to do it" Lake replied.

"Wait, then that Romeo guy came to where Juliet was and instead of seeing if she was truly dead or waiting for him to wake up, he decided to end his life." The old woman Lumen asked her daughter, she was very confused.

"That's right, but their love continued in heaven," Ember pointed out, taking one of her fries to her mouth, in fact her mouth was stained with these.

"But...wasn't it easier for him to verify if she was dead or not?...and did that messenger take so long to cure that child for not delivering the letter to Romeo on time?" Bernie questioned, not understanding anything of what was happening.

"Dad, they're fictional characters, don't ask." Ember responded rolling her eyes.

"I had never heard of that story and I'm already a few years older." Cinder responded.

"It's a classic among water people, Wade took me to see one of its plays, it's very pretty" Ember Lumen stated with a warm smile, caressing her belly.

"And we also saw the movie, but meh, it wasn't as good as the play," Wade admitted, raising his shoulders at that last bit, which only made his girlfriend giggle, which caught his attention.

"You okay, honey? Are you comfortable?" Wade asked his beloved, caressing her already grown belly "Need something? Do you want me to bring your favorite pillow?"

"No, no…I'm fine, Wade. It's ok" Ember told him safely and clinging to him, resting her head on his shoulder.

"It's okay, let me know if you need anything," the blue-eyed man reminded her, kissing her gently on her forehead.

The pregnant woman sitting on the couch, curled up next to her favorite droplet of water, receiving infinite pampering from him, while in her hands she held a glass bowl which was full of chips covered in condensed milk and gunpowder. Something that everyone else found somewhat disgusting, but that for her was perfect to calm her cravings, which had become stranger. Wade was never going to forget that time when he woke up at 4 in the morning to find her in the kitchen blending candy and a watermelon with lighter fluid to drink it or that time at his two nephews' birthday party, she put mayonnaise and hot sauce on her slice of cake...or that time he went to visit his mother after a doctor's visit and she had left a tray of muffins and coal cookies on the table and when they both came back to see, there was only the tray with crumbs and Ember with her mouth full.

Since that afternoon she found out she was pregnant, Ember was treated and pampered like a princess, by her husband, her family, and Wade's family. The day she announced it to them was at a sudden family dinner organized by Brook, when Wade and Ember confessed to them at the end of the meal, the room literally flooded, while Cinder was left in one of the chairs, trying to revive Bernie, who fainted from surprise.

"I'M GOING TO BE A GRANDFATHER!" Bernie shouted.

"WE'RE GOINT TO BE AUNTS!" Lake and Ghibli squealed as they jumped and hugged each other.

"WE'RE BE COUSINS!" Marco and Polo applauded.

"IT'S ABOUT TIME YOU GAVE ME A GRANDBABY WADE!" Brook shouted through tears.

The fiery girl only stood Touching her belly and smiled tenderly every time she heard these words and appreciated her entire family celebrating and by her side, the father of her future child hugged her by her waist, keeping her close, both feeling very happy and touched by the situation...She looked down, seeing herself and her tummy, which at that moment was still small, until she felt his watery hand rest on her, giving her a caress.

"You see how you are a source of happiness for everyone?...and for me you are more so" Wade commented to her, lovingly.

The next three months were ones of complete care for Ember and even with her mood swings and outbursts of rage, Wade was there for her, ensuring the well-being of his girlfriend and future child. From afternoons of affection and hugs for the fiery woman, to pampering her by preparing her favorite food. Wade even tried to change his work schedules to have the afternoons free to be with her. Sometimes Ember would get a little delirious and say stupid, meaningless things, but Wade always played along and was touched by what she told him. Ember had never gone to a hospital appointment as many times as she did in those months, being examined and touched by different instruments, machines and types of doctors. Every time they received new news from the nurses and doctor, they both spent the nights lying under the covers, deciding names for their baby, whether it was a girl or a boy, whether it was water or fire...or even steam (according to one of the many doctors who treated her), Ember was eager to give her baby a name that would tie in with her firish origins and although Wade didn't fully understand all of this, he supported her and sang for some examples.

"Let's see, I like the name Drizzle and also the name Cordelina but what would you like, Em? " Wade asked her, caressing her shoulders.

"hmm, I also like the name "Alev" in case it's a boy and if it's a girl it could be "Adara" Ember admitted tenderly, clinging to his grip "or even, Blaze".

"Hehe, that last one is very adorable..." Wade replied in the same way.

And of course, her mother-in-law and mother, who had already gone through the same thing, were masterminds in all of this motherhood stuff, they knew what they were doing, how she was feeling and what they should do if Ember was in a bad mood and of course when it wasas at that time of the day. Tea time came with sermons from both older women, in which Ember was either lost in their stories or asleep due to boredom.

All these changes inside and outside her, both physical and emotional, were truly crazy for the fiery lady. Sometimes she cried out of affection and other times she exploded with anger when she was even hugged... but despite all that... She was never alone.

Wade, her cute drop of water, the love of her life, the man who made her start to love and feel love, was the one who held her hand and sheltered her in his arms, always looking out for them and always made her feel that everything was going to be okay, it made her feel like she had no reason to be afraid of anything happening to her little one.

She didn't understand it and it didn't matter to understand it either... but Ember felt enormous tenderness and love for her baby every time she was examined, every month passed, every time she caressed herself and spoke to her belly, she became more attached to that little baby growing inside her. She clung more to the idea of loving it and caring for it as if they were her most precious treasure, she clung to that future day when she saw them and held them in her arms, she was a mess while she calmed her baby's cries, wanting to seek her affection. To the future of seeing them say "Mom" for the first time, of wanting to hug them and tell them how much she loved them and knowing what that meant.

The fiery one looked at her bowl and took one of her fried foods covered in sweet and salt, bringing them to her mouth, her lips and face were stained with what she was eating. Wade quickly handed her a napkin to clean herself up.

"Wow Ember, I have to say that I am very surprised how you have been eating so much all day and without stopping, that explains a lot why your stomach is so inflated, huh?" Harold said to the fiery girl, letting out a couple of mocking giggles.

His sister, who was sitting next to him, blinked in perplexity and glared at him.

However, Ember instead didn't respond with the same vibration, rather, it seemed that her happiness was fading.

"Why are you telling me that?" she asked delicately.

"Eh, well...it's normal that when you're pregnant, you gain a few pounds, y'know?..." Harold added.

"...So...you're calling me fat?" Ember's voice became weaker, at the same time that her face looked very sad, as if she were on the verge of crying.

"Well, I guess you've gained a few pounds since you started your pregnancy..." Harold didn't take long to notice that his nephew was facing him with unimaginable fury, so he swallowed and looked for an easy answer so he wouldn't screw up anymore. "b-but don't feel bad, you still look very beautiful..."

"So I I don't look like i used to look?...so I'm fat and ugly?...Is that what you mean?..." Ember started to sob.

"...ehhh" Harold swallowed uncomfortably, feeling Wade and Brook's furious looks on him, he didn't want to screw up any more than he already had "...yeah?..."

Ember then began to cry loudly, hugging Wade's arm as she sought comfort, who didn't hesitate for a second to reciprocate and give her the support she needed most.

"There, there, Em. It's alright, Don't cry..." Wade murmured to him with an angelic voice, and immediately saw his uncle again with a bilious face.

Instead he stood still, lowering his head very uncomfortably. He only saw how Eddy, Brook, Bernie and Cinder were going to console the fiery lady together.

"Well done, Dummy," Brook said sarcastically.

"b-but…"

"Do you have a sponge instead of a brain or what?" Cinder demanded to Harold "Don't make a pregnant woman cry. It's not good for the baby!"

"W-wade, he said I'm ugly!" Ember teared into his chest, her eyes now spitting torrents of lava.

"No, no, of course not, darling." Wade took her face, caressing her cheek. "You're beautiful..." he smiled slyly "You're the most beautiful girl my eyes have ever seen, like a flowering Wisterias" .

"really?" Ember responded calmer, still sobbing.

"Every word is true." Wade responded, pecking her cheek with a kiss.

However, everything was stopped by the sharp sound of a clock that seemed to come from the kitchen along with a delicious aroma of melted cheese and toasted bread. Brook Ripple immediately returned with her smile, she knew what that indicated.

"The pizza is ready!" She exclaimed, joining her palms "that means dinner is ready! Cinder, come with me. Lake, Harold, Alan, clear the table. Everyone take a seat!"

"God, what a delight!" Ember responded, delighted with that culinary beauty that her mouth was tasting, just the first bite and immediately continued eating her piece more quickly.

"Its seriously very good" Wade admitted.

"I wish my mouth was bigger," Ghibli admitted, eating her slice.

"hmmm, ten out of ten!" Bernie pointed out, taking a slice of that pizza to his mouth "Just like we make it in the village of fire"

"Well, let's say I had a little help from someone specialized in the subject." Brook responded flattered, looking at the fiery old woman who was sitting next to her.

"Oh, don't take credit for yourself either, you have a lot of talent in the kitchen, not like some who almost blew up the store." Cinder returned to see her husband.

"It was 26 years ago Cinder! How was I supposed to know that I couldn't heat cans in the microwave?" Bernie replied.

"Well, at least they weren't like Wade when he was 7 years old and put his oatmeal in the microwave with everything and a fork." Alan commented, bringing his slice of pizza to his mouth.

"Well, well, let's not come and talk about that" Eddy interrupted, drawing everyone's attention "Let's talk about the newest news, so: Ember."

"Hmm?" The fire girl looked up unnoticed, a thread of cheese slipping between her mouth and her slice of pizza.

"Don't you want to tell us how everything is going with your future offspring?" Eddy Said.

Ember quickly slurped up the cheese on her pizza, smearing some of the sauce.

"Well, nothing really special, just the occasional visit to the doctor and some ultrasounds"

"So you know if it's going to be a boy or a girl?" Lake asked intrigued.

"Well, not really." Wade added, drinking from his glass. "Yesterday we went to get Ember an ultrasound and the doctor said that it seems like the baby is still too small to know."

"Time flies, so we should get ahead of ourselves and plan everything for the celebration," Brook said enthusiastically, serving another slice of pizza to her grandson Marco.

"What are you talking about, mom?" Wade asked, arching his eyebrow.

"Well, what else? We have to organize a baby shower" Brook replied.

"The idea is nice, Miss, but I don't think it's necessary. Wade couldn't wait and took me to the mall a couple of weeks ago after going to see the doctor to buy our baby's entire wardrobe" Ember stated amused, looking at her boyfriend.

"There were some very cute overalls at the baby clothing store, I couldn't resist!" Wade said in his defense.

"Ever since I told him I was pregnant he's looking forward to going to the mall to buy baby clothes" Ember stated amused.

"Oh, don't pretend Em, you also got emotional yesterday when we were in the store" Wade added amused "You got very emotional when you found him a fireproof Mameluke"

"Oh, it was so cute!" Ember squealed tenderly, bringing her hands to her cheeks "Oh, oh. Also the strawberry dress and the wool hat for the snowy seasons"

"And the little green sweater!" Wade added, getting very excited.

"and the yellow blanket and it's fireproof" Ember claps with joy and looks at her belly, hugging herself "Your little security blanket, baby..."

"May their fortnight rest in peace." Lake murmured to their girlfriend, causing her to let out a soft giggle.

"We even got a crib, there are all the things we bought for the baby" Ember sighed tenderly, resting her hand on her belly "We just need to make the room for him or her and wait for him or her to be with us"

"Oh c'mon. Don't be selfish, organizing the baby shower for your first offspring was my father's Dying wish." Cinder told her daughter, pouting.

Indeed, in the midst of agony, Ember's grandfather murmured to his daughter, "Promise me one thing... Baby shower... grandchildren of fire..." before suffocating and perishing away in front of her.

"Mom, we already have everything, don't worry." Ember smiled amused, without removing her hands from her belly.

"Ah no, no, me and your mother are going to throw the baby a baby shower. End of discussion" Brook responded determinedly

"Don't worry, Uncle Wade." Marco, who was now a playful teenager with his brother Polo, spoke stained with cheese and tomato sauce "When our little cousin is born, let's take care of him when you go out."

"Yeah! We will be the super radical babysitting duo" Polo allegro, making a rock gesture with his hands.

"In that case I will always have the fire department's number on the freezer door." Wade commented with amusement.

The whole family started laughing, so much so that among all the laughter. Bernie, who was holding his glass, neglected to tighten his grip and it slipped, causing it to hit the table and break into pieces.

"Ow, that was my favorite cactus glass" Wade said discouraged.

"Sorry, son-in-law." Bernie shrugged, quite embarrassed.

"Don't worry, I can fix it." Ember stretched her hands all over the table, collecting all the broken pieces of the lost glass and piling them up.

In the blink of an eye, all that glass melted, Ember's fiery hands danced on that melted glass, lifting it and pulling it from corner to corner, spinning it around like a ballerina, until finally there was a glass of orange and magenta hues. Everyone at the table gasped in surprise and applauded in shock.

"Wow, you have improved a lot in glassmaking, Ember" Bernie commented impressed.

"From the day I saw her, I knew she would have that gift." Brook commented proudly towards his daughter-in-law. "Thank goodness I told Kara about her."

"I saw that light in her since I first saw her shine" Wade looked at her lovingly, making his girlfriend blush with emotion "Who would have thought that my son or daughter would have such a wonderful mother".

"Hey, Ember..." Ghibli raised her voice, stretching her hand across the table and picking up a small piece of fragmented glass "I think you're missing this piece."

"oh..." Ember blinked in confusion, reaching out her hand towards Ghibli's. In fact she forgot a small piece of the previous glass, it fell too far away for her to take it... "i have a memory of the original glass I suppose"

"Well, there's about seven slices left, does anyone want to repeat?" Alan asked.

"Ah yes yes. Yes I want!" Ember exclaimed, stretching out her plate, receiving a slice on it "Thank you! Hey Wade, can you pass me the mustard?"

The Ripples left after a few hours, with a drunk Ghibli being carried into Lake's arms. Maybe it wasn't the best idea to play a drinking game while playing some card games. Now it was night.

"Are you sure everything is okay, Ember? You know that anything you can come home with us, even if it's just for a few days. You already know that I have a little experience with pregnant women" the fiery old man told his first-born daughter, appearing a little distressed about the well-being of her and his grandson.

The pregnant woman then carefully leaned down to be at the height of her father and thus give him a loving hug.

"Calm down Ashfa, I'll be fine here. We are close to a hospital just in case, Wade is with me and I feel perfect. If this little guy gets upset, I already have somewhere to go" Ember responded smiling "And you also know that if anything, I will call you to keep me company".

"Hmm" Bernie looked at his daughter's tummy "alright grandson, I know you can't even hear me yet but once and for all I'm telling you to take good care of your mommy and when you start kicking don't be rude to her...anyway Those kicks don't mean that you're going to be a good soccer player...believe me...that's what your great-grandfather told me"

"Shhh, don't talk to him like that or he'll get sad" Wade interrupted them, putting his hands on his girlfriend's belly in a protective manner, he immediately focused his gaze on it "Don't pay any attention to him. Your grandpa is just joking, you can be whatever you want most when you grow up"

Ember giggled a little, rolling her eyes.

"And you really think that something bad could happen to me?" she asked.

"Ember, sweetie" Cinder approached her daughter, resting her hand towards her tummy "Our blue flame has blessed you like it has never done before in this family. From a dream come true, you became a spark of joy for us and for that baby too. Do not doubt that just as you have been a great daughter, you will be a great mother".

"Thank you Ashka..." Ember bowed softly.

"Well, we're leaving, you two rest." Bernie said goodbye, taking his wife by the hand to begin to leave. Ember stood next to Wade at the entrance, watching them leave, it seemed like they were sharing some gossip now that they were alone on their own.

Once alone, the watery man held his girlfriend gently, placing his hand on her small belly before kissing her on her lips.

"Are you ready to sleep, Em?" Wade asked entering the room, returning from having turned off all the lights in the apartment.

His pretty sky eyes focused on the fiery girl, who was already lying on the bed they shared, she seemed to be playing with something in her hands, something that shone red hot just like her. With care and caution he approached until he raised his feet on the bed and got under the sheets next to his girlfriend, thus seeing what was happening.

From that small piece of glass left over from the broken dinner glass, Ember now created something new. She stretched and kneaded it together with an occasional twist, and then grabbed what seemed to be a small and very fine copper chain and began to attach it to the crystal figure she made. From one of her fingers now hung a necklace whose pendant was a small, fine crystal heart, which shone in magenta colors.

"How cute, Em..." Wade commented in a soft voice.

"It's for him or her" With her eyes she pointed to her belly "It will be one of my first gifts".

"I know he loved him very much" Wade stated, leaning his head on the fiery girl's shoulder.

Ember put it inside the drawer of the nightstand that was next to her and with that she turned off the lamp on it. She gave a small yawn before sliding towards her partner, who left her resting on his chest, with one of his hands caressing her tummy, which made her cling tighter, curling into a ball. The water man lowered his gaze, seeing her with a soft chuckle.

"What?" Ember asked confused.

"Just thinking that in a few months I'm going to be a dad..." Wade commented with a relaxed and loving voice, without stopping pampering his girlfriend. "See how our son has grown inside you and see how you've been here with me, walking about our future...Ember, we are going to be parents..." he looked down just saying it generated an enormous load of serotonin "...yes, we're going to be parents...we'll form a family.." he sigh, clinging more to her "...if this is real, then I would love for you to tell me...I wouldn't mind if you stole the show"

"Well, I would prefer that you be part of the show then..." Ember responded exhausted, approaching to kiss his cheek lovingly, before settling down on the bed and closing her eyes "I love you, Wade..."

"I love you too..." he replied, kissing her forehead, without letting her go "rest Well,Em..."

and the night passed peacefully. Hours of silence ensued, without any movement or sound. Before long, it was already two in the morning, the couple was sleeping peacefully, there was no street fight happening out there or disaster arising inside the building that could interrupt them.

Ember was in an eternal darkness, with one of her hands resting on her tummy, her light and flames were warm and soft, as they always became every time she fell asleep, she found herself clinging to the sheets while she gave calm and soft exhalations, it seemed that no one could wake her from that comfortable nap she was taking.

Except for one thing...and that was pain...one that she began to experience throughout her abdomen.

At first it was something superficial, something that could only bother her even if she was asleep but without any warning, that pain began to become something very intense, too much to be able to bear. At first Ember woke up groggy, still feeling sleepy, it wasn't until she suddenly began to feel very violent cramps in that same area, which immediately made her react and recover her sixth senses, sitting on the bed and placing her hands on the painfull area. She tried to calm her breathing to see if it would stop the pain, but it didn't seem to stop.

Unconsciously, Ember began to tear up from the pain.

"A-oh..." the fiery woman gasped in pain, not knowing what all that was, but when she thought everything calmed down, a disastrous feeling twisted everything inside her, which made her stifle a painful moan. "A-oh...but what- OW!...Oh, oh, it hurts!"

Ember felt how her insides began to twist and cramp like a wire, it was too intense, as if her insides were being squeezed and torn, as if they were cramps and no matter how hard she tried to adjust or breathe, the pain got worse.

"W-wade...W-wake up" Ember whimpered, trying to shake her boyfriend awake, she was hyperventilating.

"Mmmm" Wade grunted still asleep, hiding under the covers "five more minutes Em…"

"W-wade, wake up, it hurts..." the fiery one expressed, struggling to speak, starting to hit him so that he would wake up faster "...Wade, it hurts...Wade, wake up it hurts, it hurts!"

"What?" Reacting immediately, the water man sat on his bed, every bit of sleep left the moment he found his girlfriend in that state because it didn't take him long to go to tend to her, her cries distressed him greatly "Ember?..."

"W-wade it hurts…" Ember cried desperately.

"Um, what's wrong with you?!" Wade, terrified, held her delicately by her face.

"It hurts, it hurts, it hurts so much!" Ember fell against him, tears spilling down her cheeks.

"But what hurts you?"

"I don't know, but it hurts..." she sobbed.

Wade immediately looked down thanks to the light of the lady of fire, he noticed how the sheets seemed to be stained, so he lifted them to see what was happening...Ember opened her eyes wide...horror mixed with agony stained her face.

It was lava.

Lots of lava.

Ember's desperate scream was drowned out in a gasp and followed by a frightened cry.

"I have to take you to the hospital now!"
