Chapter 43: Jack in Space:

Jack's POV:

I was taking a walk through the woods while Peter and Jill are busy delivering food to a nearby village. I then heard an explosion and decided to take a look. I ran towards it.

. . .

As I was running, someone was throwing explosive darts at me. I had to dodge. I then found a large metal thing. There were these people in suits. Then three giant drones came. They were more based on the Praying Mantis. They were prepared to fight.

"Uh-oh," says one man.

The drones then see what the group was working on. "You have been found guilty of breaking Aku Law 101 and 203. Habitation in an unauthorized facility and unauthorized construction of an escape vehicle. Your punnishment is extermination."

The people then panic. The drones started destroying everything. I did not understand what was going on, but I knew I could not allow this any further, so I fought the drones. I managed to destroy them, but a head then flew off.

"Well, ackorrrding to my kalkulations, ourrr chances of eskaping arrre now 6,352,271 to 1."

"Oh no, after all zese years, only to go back to vork fur Aku, I kan't do i Seig Heil!"

"Calm yourself, Frederick."

"Easy fur you to say, you vere chust a baby vhen ze r-r-rest uff us vere forced to build Aku's r-r-robots undt ozzer efil technology!"

"My age is irrelevant here. We shouldn't just give up. We still have a chance."

"Well, actually, there is substance to that theory. If we launch our escape rocket before the fail safe warning head informs Aku of our wereabouts, we will succeed. On the other hand, Aku is quite brilliant. And know our position will not only send our ground troops to destroy us, but will also block our escape rout, thus, forcing us to surrender."

"Gentlemen, the Orbital Guard is about to close in on our escape rout!"

"You see, zere iss nein escapingkt now!"

"No, there has to be a way!"

"I humbly appologize," I said, "it was not my intention to bring these troubles upon you."

"Yes, it iss all your fault!"

"Come on, that's not fair. We were bound to be discovered! If anything, he saved our lives! Didn't you see the way he defeated those robots?"

"Yes it was quite imprrressive, the odds of one perrrson with a sworrrd defeating thrrree mandrrroids was 6,923 to 1."

"Hold it, I think we found our solution! If we follow this warrior through Aku's blockade, he might create enough of a distraction for us to slip through."

"Zat's impossible, nein ein kan do zat! Let us surrender!"

"Actually, Frrrederrrick, the odds arrre prrromising, it's only 5,437 to 1."

"This is quite a predicament. On one hand, we have to trust our safety to a stranger, but on the other hand, a lifetime of slavery. I say we give the stranger a shot!"

"Zis all pointless, he probably vouldn't efen do it."

"Wait," I said, "I would gladly help, but from what I understand, your battle is in the sky. The best I can do is jump good."

"Leave that to us."

"Hold on, komrrrades, the odds have just imprrroved!"

. . .

So they then put me through their 'astronaut' training. I called over the smartest person I know for help, Dexter. After all that training, I was given a suit like the others.

"Chust hold schtill, Chack, zis von't take long."

They attached a rocket pack to my suit. The controls for my suit were in my glove. I then started flying around. At first, I was having trouble, but then I was, as Johnny would say, getting the hang of it.

"See? He's a natural," says Dexter, "once he figures out what he's doing."

. . .

The time has come to go into space. We were ready to launch and then, we were going into space.

Chorus: Let's take a rocket ship to space
I hear it's a real swinging place
There isn't much air, or gravity there
The stars will make your heart race

Let's take a rocket ship
Let's take a rocket ship
Let's take a rocket ship to space

Let's take a saucer to the stars
Look out moon, move over Mars
The Martians all rock
To Basie and Bach
So bring your maracas and your jazz guitars
Let's take a saucer to the stars

Let's take a rocket ship
A crazy three-stage rocket ship
Let's take a rocket ship to space!

"It is incredible," I said. I have met many creatures from other planets, but I have never experienced life in the stars. To think, I have Aku to thank for this chance. The Astronomer would probably love to hear this story. It accurs to me now that we had no idea there were other worlds beyond the stars. When I get back, I have to tell him... but would he handle it?"

"Ackorrrding to my kalkulations, we should be rrrunning into Aku's forrrces now."

The General's POV:

I was in my ship with some drones.

"Enemy ship," says a drone, "leaving Earth? Maybe it's one of ours."

"Or somebody's trying to escape," I said.

"Let's see. That's a different color... you're right. That isn't one of ours."

"Destroy them!"

Jack's POV:

"Aku's orbital guart iss komingk Seig Heil! Ve are doomed!"

"This is where I do my job," I said.

. . .

I then stepped outside and started fighting the drones. It was peculiar fighting in space, but I was able to make it work.

The General's POV:

"Wait a minute," I said. I then took a closer look and saw the Samurai. I then stepped out.

"Where are you going," asks a drone, "well, guess I'm in charge."

Jack's POV:

I was fighting the drones, but then the General came.

"Time to end Aku's biggest pain," says the General.

"Aku is the real pain," I said, "I am just the ointment... wait, I can do better."

The General and I then fought. It wasn't easy because I am not used to this kind of fighting, but I was able to adapt. I then sliced the General's robotic arms.

"You will pay for that," says the General. He then tried to attack me, but I managed to get out of the way. He then grabbed me and threw me. The General started beating me. "It's over, Samurai!"

"You are right, for I did not need to defeat you," I said, "I just needed to keep you busy so my friends can escape."

We both saw the ship leaving. Frederick was waving goodbye.

"No one escapes from Aku," says the General.

I then grabbed him and used my hand controls to give him a ride. We were going through the astroids until we both crashed back into Earth.

. . .

"You... will... pay..." The General who was burnt fell to the ground.

"Jack, are you alright," asks Dexter.

"Yes," I said.

"And the scientists," asks Dexter.

"Off on their new home," I said.

"That is good," says Dexter, "so... why weren't you burning up in the atmosphere?"

"What," I asked while I was thinking about how Peter and Jill are going to react when I tell them about my day.

Frederick's POV:

I visch Chack kame mitt us, but zen again, how kould he leafe vizzout his friends, fur vhen ve trafeled into space, ve vent zrough a vormhole zat took us back in time... to Chack's time, in fact. A time before Aku r-r-ruled. I hope Chack gets back here soon. Ve are now adaptingkt to ze vorld uff Ancient Chapan. Ve are finally free.

The reason why Jack didn't burnt up in the atmosphire was because he's the divine vessel of Amaterasu, so he's immune to getting burnt up in the atmosphire. In the next chapter, Jack and his friends meet Mao Mao.
