Chapter 60: Ari's Poem Troubles:
Ari's POV:
Ali has been acting strange ever since she got back from the video store. Oh well, maybe it's just one of her paranoid thoughts. Anyway, I'm now trying to work on a new poem.
"Poetry's a waste of time," says Mandy, "you should be more focused on our current problems."
"Make yourself useful," I said.
"And do what," asks Mandy.
"That's just it," I said, "I consider you useless."
She then threw something at me.
. . .
I was walking down the halls when I ran into Ashi.
"Ari, are you alright," asks Ashi.
"I'm just trying to work on a poem," I said, "any ideas?"
"Though we are enemies," Ashi begins.
Ashi: I feel in my heart; we were meant to be and should never be apart
"How did you come up with that," I asked.
"I... have my ways." Ashi then walks away.
. . .
I was still moving, but then I saw the Mad Scientist.
"Mad Scientist, do you have any ideas for a poem," I asked.
"ANGRY! I AM ANGRY SCIENTIST! ANGRY!"
I then left.
. . .
I was walking down the halls again when I saw the Chamberlain arguing with the General.
"Lord Aku already rules the world," says the Chamberlain, "he's wasting time hunting down the Samurai!"
"And if the Samurai were to find a way back to the past," says the General, "not to mention, his sword is the only thing that can harm Aku!"
"Good point," says the Chamberlain.
I don't think these two are the answer. I then walked away.
. . .
I then found Schnitzel. "I don't suppose you have any suggestions on a good poem," I said.
"Raddah."
I can never understand him. I just walked away.
. . .
I found Mandark.
"Mandark, do you have any ideas of a poem," I asked.
"Oh, listen to this," says Mandark.
Mandark: our souls are one, you must come to me; my love will never be done, my beautiful DeeDee
"I still don't understand what you see in her," I said.
. . .
I continued until I found the Imps.
"Do you two know any good poems," I asked.
"There once was a man from Kentucky..." I then walked away.
. . .
I then found Dazrin.
"Do you know any poem," I asked.
"No." Dazrin then walks away.
. . .
I then found Ali.
"Ali, can you help me," I asked.
"I have my own problems," says Ali.
"What do you mean," I asked.
"Have you ever found out everything you knew was a lie," asks Ali.
"I don't understand," I said, "can you explain it to me?"
"I can't, he could hear us," says Ali.
"Oh, it's that kind of thing."
"This isn't my usual paranoid talk," says Ali. She then looks around to make sure no one is listening. "Aku killed two people and threw their child in a well!"
"They were probably speaking against him, and the child was probably an accident," I said.
"Let me show you something."
. . .
Ali showed me the video. I couldn't believe it. Aku just took the couple and threw their child down a well. And it looked like he just felt like it.
. . .
Ali then showed me the corpses she buried.
"I think I finally figured out my poem," I said.
. . .
I was in the park, and I began reading my new poem.
Ari: For a while
I thought I was on the side of right
But it then turns out
You are who I should fight
You are nothing but evil and lies
But I have finally opened my eyes
I will no longer believe what you say
I will secretly go against your will
Your dark heart
If you even have one
Will never win
And I will want to see you run
Perhaps one day
All will see
The cold truth
Of your villainy
"That was great!" I then fell off the bench, screaming. "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you. I'm Dakota. I really liked that poem. Did you come up with it by yourself. I..."
"I'm going to go now." I then walked away. That girl is annoying.
. . .
"Should we tell our sisters," asks Ali.
"I'm not sure how many of them would believe us or how many would care," I said, "maybe one day, we might end up having to join the Resistance."

In the next chapter, Jack meets a very annoying creature.
