Chapter 70: Captain Sturdy:
Jack's POV:
The Justice Friends and I were fighting some of Aku's forces.
"Krunk Smash," says Krunk.
We then defeated them all.
"That takes care of them," says Major Glory.
"And I got the Chamberlain," says Val Halen.
"You will tell us what Aku was up to," I said.
"Or what," asks the Chamberlain.
Krunk was prepared to smash. "Or that," I said.
"WE WERE LOOKING FOR CAPTAIN STURDY!"
. . .
We were back at the base.
"Captain Sturdy was a legendary superhero," says Johnny, "he was in action when I was a kid."
"The Chamberlain says that Aku worries we may get him on our side," I said, "perhaps we could."
"Alright, Jack, Jill, and Peter, look for Captain Sturdy," says Johnny.
. . .
We were on the search for Captain Sturdy. We have a picture.
"Where could he be," asks Peter.
"Maybe he's that old man over there," says Jill.
"What makes you say that," asks Peter.
"Because he looks just like the picture," says Jill.
We looked and agreed on that.
. . .
We found his address and learned his name... Roy Sturdy.
"He's barely trying," says Jill.
I then knocked on the door and Mr. Sturdy answers. "No," he said.
"We know who you are," I said.
"I know. That's why I said no. It was only a matter of time before someone realized I barely tried to keep my identity secret. I wasn't that clever back in the day."
"We could use your help," says Peter.
"One problem, I'm retired. Goodbye."
He then closes the door.
"We have to find a way to convince him," says Jill.
The Chamberlain's POV:
"I can't believe Lord Aku is worried about some old guy," says the Chamberlain.
"Do you even have a plan," asks the General.
"Of course," says the Chamberlain.
Chamberlain: I've done extensive research
On this so-called Captain Sturdy
This will show everyone
That I am not just nerdy
I'm going to use this power drainer
It's the stone that looks dirty
And the power draining will hurt
See I'll be at the center
Divide by nine, halve the sine
Adjust for Y, easy as pie
Watch this has-been of a legend fall
Before my strategic eye
That's how I'll get him (How I'll get him)
That's how I'll get him
I'll sneak into his house
And take away his powers
That's how I'll get him (How I'll get him)
That's how I'll get him
Once I get him, it will be
Captain Sturdy's darkest hour
The General: You're an idiot.
The Chamberlain: What?
The General: Your plan does sound great
It might seem as easy as pie
But your incompetence is forgetting
About the Samurai
Your stone might be a success
You might be able to get him
If it weren't for that sword
The weapon that is the best
That sword of his
Will turn you to swiss
I can't believe you can't see
You'll never get him (Chamberlain: Yes, I'll get him)
You'll never get him
That sword has too much power
You'll never get him (Chamberlain: Sure, I'll get him)
You'll never get him
If you were foolish enough to go in there
Then it will be your darkest hour
Chamberlain: Well, the answer's obvious. You just keep the Samurai busy and I'll get the old guy.
General: Very well. But if this plan fails, you will get the blame.
Chamberlain/General: That's how we'll get him
That's how we'll get him
Chamberlain: And once we get him
Chamberlain/General: It will be Captain Sturdy's Darkest Hour!
Jack's POV:
We talked with Mr. Sturdy.
"Look, I want to help, but I'm too old," says Mr. Sturdy, "my shoulder's killing me."
"I understand," I said. We cannot force him to help. Then the General crashed in.
"Samurai Jack, you are mine!"
The General then attacks me.
. . .
I made sure that the General and I fought outside. He used all four of his weapons. Then Jill and Peter joined in and helped me. We took on the General. He was winning, but then Captain Sturdy came out and knocked him down. "Is this a friend of yours?" He had the Chamberlain.
"Why didn't the stone work," asks the Chamberlain.
"Because that's an ordinary rock," says Captain Sturdy.
"Those little gangsters conned me," says the Chamberlain.
"I suggest you run," I said.
The two then left. "CHAMBERLAIN, YOU ARE AN IDIOT," shouts the General.
. . .
Captain Sturdy then agreed to help train the Resistance. It shows that you are never too old.

In the next chapter, Jack, Jill, and Peter run into the demented Demencia.
