Chapter 72: Generator Rex:
Jack's POV:
I was sparring with Ben. He was in the form he calls Diamondhead. It was my sword against his diamond blade arms.
"Do we really need this," asks Ben.
"If we do not train more, the forces of evil grow stronger," I said.
"You've been beating Aku, and you took down the Galactic Kids Next Door," says Ben.
"And I learned that there might be someone... or something more evil then Aku. I'm not sure what the future holds, but I have to be ready and so do you."
"Nothing can keep me off guard," says Ben.
"Hello Kai," I said. Ben was distracted.
"Very funny," says Ben, "hey, isn't that one of Aku's girls, with two demons, chasing a kid and a monkey?"
"I am not as easily distracted," I said.
"Dude, turn around."
I do so and I see Ashi, Mean, and Nasty, chasing after a boy and a monkey.
"We must help that child," I said.

As Ashi, Mean, and Nasty chase after the boy and the monkey, Ben blocks them with a diamond wall. I then faced them.
"You are not to harm that child or that animal," I said.
"Three against two," says Mean, "no chance!" Mean and Nasty then leave.
"Cowards," says Ashi.
Ashi and I then fought. Ben was about to help, but then his watch timed out and he was himself again. "Awe man."
Ashi was then about to attack me, but a large metal fist knocked her away. Ben and I looked... and it was the boy with the monkey.
"Great, they saw," says the monkey.

Ben and I were speaking with the boy and his monkey.
"My name is Rex. I... don't know my story... but I woke up with these... weird powers. I can generate machines from my body parts. Aku sent those goons after me. Bobo's the only friend I've ever had."
"Aku does like to use machines," says Ben.
"He probably wishes to use you as a weapon," I said.
"We've been trying to avoid his freaks," says Bobo.
"We can help you," I said.
Ashi's POV:
"You two could have helped," I said.
"The Samurai scares us," says Nasty.
"And that weirdo with the watch doesn't help," says Mean.
"Ashi," says Ari and she and Ali appear.
"Have you come to help," I asked.
"Ashi, why are you chasing this child," asks Ali.
"Lord Aku told me to bring him the boy. He believes the boy's power could be useful."
"He is just a child," says Ari.
"I'm sure Lord Aku will take good care of him. Besides, Mandy and Mandark are children."
"And they did not turn out great," says Ali.
"Are you two trying to turn me against Lord Aku," I asked, "are you traitors?" They then left.
"So, how are we gonna get that robot kid," asks Mean.
"We have to be clever about it," I said.
Jack's POV:
Ben and I were trying to sneak Rex and Bobo back to the Resistance.
"We have to be on the lookout," I said, "they could be around here somewhere."
"Who is she," asks Rex.
"Some girl that serves Aku," says Ben.
"She is part of a cult known as the Daughters of Aku," I said.
"Nice girl," says Bobo, sarcastically.
"I think I see her," says Ben. He then turns to Heatblast and attacks... an ordinary girl dressed in black. "My bad."
"Why does this always happen?" The girl then left.
"I said we should be ready," I said, "but that does not mean we should attack anyone who steps outside."
"Give me a break," says Ben, "not a lot of people dress in all black!"
"Let's keep moving," I said.
Ashi's POV:
I was keeping an eye on the Samurai. "You two know what to do," I said.
Mean and Nasty then take the form of a giant lion.
Jack's POV:
We were walking, but then there was a strange sound.
"What the heck is that," asks Ben.
It was a giant lion.
"So, that a normal thing," asks Bobo.
"By now, yes," I said.
The lion then attacks us, and I defend us with my sword. Ben tries to join in... but his watch times out again.
"Are you kidding me," asks Ben.
I then started cutting the lion and its wounds were more shadowy. This is no ordinary lion. I then grabbed some wire and the lion tripped. "Let's run," I said.
Ashi's POV:
"Get up," I said. Mean and Nasty get up, but they become a two-headed lion.
"We're more vicious this way," says Mean.
"Fix it," I said. They try and now they're a two-butted lion. They then become an appropriate lion. "You two are useless."
Jack's POV:
We were then outside the city.
"We may need to find another way to the base," I said.
"What's the deal with the lion," asks Ben.
"I do not know," I said, "but I believe it might be one of Aku's tricks."
"Here it comes," says Bobo.
The lion attacks and Ben turns to Four Arms. He and I then take on the lion.
"We should go," says Bobo.
"No, I'm gonna help," says Rex.

Rex then creates a large mechanical sword and helps us fight the lion. I then sliced the lion in half, and it turns out to be Mean and Nasty. The two then leave.
"This isn't over," says Ashi as she leaves.

The Resistance agree to help Rex.
"The Future is strange," says Jill, "but it's nice that Ben now has a new friend."
Ben and Rex were playing their online games together.
"And the monkey's... interesting," says Peter.
"The can's all clogged up," says Bobo.
