WwwAfter the final bell, Tara grabbed her cell and book bag as she walked out of history class and went to meet Donna at their lockers, Tara wanted to get to St. Thomas to see Piney. Bobby called Opie last night letting them know, Piney was finally awake. But Tara felt it was best to go see him after school. Heading over to the lockers, Tara noticed Chris Sanders the captain of the football team standing by his locker, talking to some of his buddies and teammates. A couple of years ago Tara went to the movies with him, but their date ended early when Chris started to get handsy and he wouldn't keep his hands off of her. after telling him to stop so many times, and of course, he didn't listen Tara literally broke both of his hands and ran out of the theatre. She had to call Opie to pick her up.
Tara headed towards her locker when she saw Donna." Hey, D." Tara greeted Donna as she opened her locker and grabbed the books she needs for studying.
" Hey, are you ready to go?" Donna asked as she closed and locked her locker.
Tara sighs heavily as she shook her head." Not really, I would rather see him sitting on the couch watching one of his favorite western movies or at least sitting at the bar having a drink or two of his whiskey. But instead, I gotta go see him laying up in a fucking hospital bed."
" How long does he have to stay there?"
" I think Opie said he would be home in a few days. Are you sure, you still wanna come with me? I mean you don't have to."
" I wanna come, the last time I was there with Opie, Piney was still unconscious. But now that he's awake, yeah I wanna be there. Did Opie say, when he's coming around?" Donna asked as they started to walk towards the school parking lot.
" I think he said he and Jax would come by later after working in the garage," Tara answered as they walked outside of the school and headed towards Tara's car.
" Hey, Tara wait up," Chris called out as he caught up with her and Donna.
Tara groans softly as she rolled her eyes before turning around to face him." Hi, Chris." Tara can't really stand Chris but at least she can be civil with him." I see your hands have healed."
" Yeah, I can finally throw a football around again." He said with a chuckle." So, I heard about what happened with your old man. How is he doing?"
" He's good. He's coming home in a couple of days."
" Oh, that's good. I'm glad to hear that. Hey, um I was wondering if you're interested in going out to dinner with me Saturday night." Chris said with a sly grin.
" I can't sorry, and even if I could. I am not that interested. Besides I am already seeing someone." Tara said as she opens her passenger door and tossed her book bag on the back seat and closed the door as she opened the door of the driver's side and got behind the wheel.
" Oh, anyone I know?"
Tara just shrugged her shoulders." Nope, I don't think so. Look I gotta get to St. Thomas." Tara said as she started the engine and got her seatbelt on." See you around." Tara said as she put the car into reverse and backed out of the parking lot and headed towards the hospital.
" What was that all about?" Donna asked a few seconds later.
" It's nothing," Tara said just brushing it off. What did your parents have to say, when they heard about Piney?" Donna stayed with her and Opie for the past week, she never went home until last night. Tara had thought about asking Jax to stay with them, but she didn't want to take the chance of Opie finding out about them just yet.
" They weren't too happy, they believe the club is too dangerous and they want me to stay away from Opie. Actually, they have forbidden me to ever see him again." Last night, Donna got into it with her parents about Opie and the club. They don't want her seeing Opie ever again or even go around the club ever again. They even forbidden her to go to the clubhouse.
" Jesus, Donna maybe you shouldn't come. I mean I don't want your parents to get more mad at you or me, and I definitely don't want them to forbid you from hanging out with me."
" Tara, stop. I already told you I want to come. I care about your father too."
Tara nods his head." Yeah, I know D." Tara said as she pulled into the hospital parking lot. As she was able to find a parking space, Tara noticed Mary's car in the next space." I don't believe it." She said to herself.
" What?" Donna asked as she noticed the same car.
" Mary is here," Tara responded with a sigh as she pushed her door open and got out as she started to walk towards the hospital. Tara knows for a fact Mary would never set a foot in Charming unless there's a reason for it.
" Maybe she's here for Piney," Donna said as she caught up with Tara and followed her into the main entrance of the hospital.
" Yeah, and she's also here trying to get me to move in with her."
" What you talking about?"
Tara sighs heavily as she pushed the button and waited for the elevator doors to open." All summer long, Mary has been trying to talk me into moving in with her officially, she kept saying how the clubhouse isn't a place for someone like me. She was afraid that I was gonna end up like Gemma." Tara responded with a snort." But with pops in the hospital, she's gonna have another reason to try to get me to move in with her."
" So, what you gonna do?"
" I don't know, but what I do know is that I can't leave especially now," Tara said as they stepped into the elevator and Tara pushed for the second floor. This is her home and there's no way Tara would ever leave Charming, and she especially can't leave Jax either. Getting off of the elevator, Tara and Donna both headed towards Piney's hospital room. As she walked up to the door, Tara saw Mary sitting right beside Piney's bed. Tara took another deep breath and pulled the door open and walked in.
" Hey." She said as she walked in.
" Hey, sweetheart," Piney responded with a huge grin on his face as he sat up more.
" Hey daddy," Tara said as she walked over to the other side of the bed and leans over, and gave him a kiss on his forehead." Glad to see your up." She said as she pulled the other chair closer to him and sat down.
" It's good to see you Mir. Winston. You had us all worried there." Donna said as she walked up and stood by the foot of his bed.
" Thanks, darling," Piney responded with a nod and a chuckle,
" Um, Tara can I talk to you alone?" Mary asked as she stood up and headed towards the door. Mary didn't want to have this conversation in front of Piney or Donna, She would rather have them stay out of it since she already knows that one of them will end up getting Opie involve or Piney will end up talking Tara out of it.
Tara sighs as she nods her head." Yeah, I will be right back." She said as she got up and gave her dad a kiss on the cheek before following her mom out into the hall. Tara closed the door behind her." What's so important that you can't say it in front of dad?"
" I really think it's best if you move in with me and finish your senior year at Lodi High School."
Tara shook her head as she crossed her arms over her chest." No, I already told you before mom. I am not moving in with you. I can't leave daddy or Opie. Besides this is my home, Lodi is your home, Charming is mine. Besides even if I could leave I don't want to, especially now." Tara said softly as she turned her head away from Mary.
" Oh God, please don't tell me you are seeing one of them." Mary closed her eyes as she sighs deeply as she realized who it was." Jesus, Jax Teller?"
Tara's head snapped back towards Mary." Would you keep your voice down? Yes, It's Jax Teller and nobody knows, not even Pops or Opie. So would you please don't say anything to them?" Tara asked in a hushed tone.
" Tara, Jax is nothing but a criminal. They all are and before you know it, he's gonna drag you down and put you on a path that you don't wanna go on. Is this really the kind of future and life you want with him?"
" You don't know shit about Jax, and just because it didn't work between you and daddy doesn't mean that I will end up like you because I am not gonna leave or walk away from Jax like you walked away from dad. I am not leaving Charming or Jax." Tara said as she turned around and headed back into the room. Tara didn't want to continue this conversation. She just wanted to visit her dad before she had to go home and study tonight.
Both Jax and Opie were about to get ready to leave for St. Thomas When Wendy pulled up into the lot and got out of her car quickly.
Jax sighs as he set his helmet on his handlebar." I will catch up." He said as he walked over to Wendy." It's not a good time right now Wendy." Jax said as he walked up to her. Jax is supposed to see Piney and then he was planning on seeing Tara later tonight. The last thing Jax needs is to deal with Wendy right now." What do you want?"
" You missed this morning's doctor's appointment. We were supposed to know the sex of our baby." Wendy said as she started to reach for him but quickly pulled back when she watched Jax walking back from her." What's wrong?"
" Wendy are you really that dumb? We both know I am not the father, We haven't slept together since I dumped your ass and moved on to someone else. You really need to stop with the bullshit okay. Your not my old lady anymore and I am not the father of that kid, But good luck in finding the father Wendy. I gotta go." Jax said as he headed back towards his Dyna,
" Does Gemma know you got a new old lady? Maybe I should tell her."
Jax snorts as he got on his Dyna and strapped his helmet on." Yeah, you could do that. But if you do I will make sure to band you from the clubhouse for good Wendy. You can just be a crow eater for another club or even for another charter, I really don't give a shit anymore." Jax said as he brought his kickstand up and drove out of the lot leaving Wendy just standing there all alone.
Wendy just huffed as she turned around and headed towards the clubhouse to find Gemma and to talk to her. Wendy always knew that Jax was seeing someone else behind her back and if it's who she thinks it is, Wendy is gonna need Gemma's help in getting Jax back and keep whoever it is away from Jax as well. Because there is no way Wendy is about to lose Jax to some other bitch especially now that she's five months pregnant and she needs Jax more than ever.
