Ch-1 A new life?

After walking through the portal i expected to see myself in a forest or a dark alleyway but not this.

I found myself in a dark room with a table and a wardrobe with my clothes in it

"Ok now I'm confused"

walking up to the table i saw my wallet and a file with "read me" written on it

{The world that you will be taken to is going to be honkai impact 3rd, not to worry you will be able to read and speak all languages of that world}

{Now all you need to do is write the new name you want to be known by here}

an empty line was there besides it

'Hm a new name to be known by... im tempted to use Isaac as my new name but nah'

It took me around 5 minutes to think of a name, after a while with my mind completely blank

"I'll just go with Zeren, I can't think of anything else"

With that done i continued reading

{The only thing I'll say about the skill-set system is that, the skills that can be used are limited to only the in-game skills that you had seen from the games you have played in your lifetime}

Reading the last sentence I couldn't help but slightly panic knowing that only 3 minutes were left before my departure

Shoving the wallet in my pocket I saw a small note under the wallet but before I could reach out and read it, another portal opened underneath me and I fell into it.

i find myself falling from the sky with no way of surviving the fall.

Seeing that i was headed to a city that had been destroyed, i realised that it was nagazora and that i arrived in this world at the very wrong time.

As i get closer to the city i think of one skill that can help me survive the fall

'immortal'

i think as nothing happens

'ok now, how the hell do i use a skill?'

and i attempted again

'use skill- immortal'

(Skill- immortal- activation failed: requirements not met)

"ARE YOU SHITING ME"

i cursed as the skill failed to activate, I attempted again

'use skill- ice prison'

(Skill activation- ice prison take 60% less damage for 4 seconds)

'Wait what'

i thought as i crash landed on to the streets and into a building

(Skill duration end, on cool down: 90 seconds left)

The ice disappears and reveals a somewhat bloodied form of zeren

"That skill changed its effects, what was that about"

struggling slightly to get up from the ground, looking myself over, I think of another skill to use in this situation

'Use skill- mend wounds'

(Skill activation- mend wounds: mends all the physical wounds on the users body in 20 seconds)

Feeling all the wounds closing up I let out a sigh of relief, patting down my pants, pulling out my wallet and phone to see that they survived the crash without much damage

Finally taking notice of my surroundings it seems that I was in a drug store, going out of the store onto the streets seeing zombies and honkai beasts roaming around.

'And would you look at that the, streets are infested, i have the worst luck ever in everything'

as i took a step forward

*clank*

Looking down I see that I stepped on a road sign and now all the monsters are moving towards me

"well shit"

Picking up the broken road sign and holding infront of me readying myself for a fight

'I don't know how to actually fight but I'll improvise with the moves and technique I have seen in games'

Fighting through the horde of zombies was easy enough but the problem here was dealing with the honkai beast, if I remember correctly their skin is made up of silicon as that is extremely hard to break through without the proper weapons and means

'I should try using offensive skills'

'Use skill- tenryu reisai'

(Skill- tenyru reisai- activation failed: requirements not met)

'Of course, well it was worth a try'

'I'll try another one'

'Use skill- raikiri rashin'

(Skill activation- raikiri rashin: all physical attributes enhanced)

(debuff added- increased stamina consumption)

With the skill activation I can feel my strikes getting faster and stronger, seeing a honkai beast about to get a hit in I quickly bring the pole up to block but suddenly my body moved on its own, blocking the hit and moved in for a counter attack

'What was that about?'

(Passive skill activated- reflect counter: deflect an in-coming hit and move in for a counter attack)

'Damn that skill got converted into a passive one'

TIME SKIP

1 HOUR

It has been an hour since i came to this world, well lets just say that an hour of constant fighting can lead you to learn new things about yourself and your limits

*huff* *huff*

"Are you doing okay zeren?"

said a rather charming voice

"of course he's not doing okay, unlike us i dont think he has any fighting experience"

said by a feminine voice with slight hint of annoyance

"Yeah yeah, im doing ok just... exhausted"

I said between huffs

These two are kaito saikawa and remi satou, I came across them while moving through the city and let's just say they are better at this than I am

"See, he's doing okay, you dont have to get mad at me for that"

said kaito giving remi a smug smile making her more annoyed

"If you dont wipe off that smug smile, I'll punch you in the face"

this just made kaito's smile widen

"Oh c'mon you and I both know that you won't do that"

making remi glare at him

"And why is that mr.smug pants?"

making kaito move closer to her

"Because you love me too much"

Did i mention that they are a couple? yeah they are a couple.

"Get a room already"

I said, making them both laugh

After they were done laughing they had something to ask me

"So zeren what brings you here to nagazora while you know..."

"All this shit went down"

finished remi

The moment they asked me that i froze

'what do i tell them?! I can't just tell them i came here from another reality?! wait I'll just say'

"I came to nagazora on a scholarship to chiba academy but as you can see how that went down"

making them both wince at my words

"Well atleast you can go back to your old home after you get out of here"

hearing that I just let out a nervous laugh

"I dont have a old home, im more or less a orphan"

they froze after hearing my words

"We're really sorry we reminded you about that"

they both said at the same time

"No no its fine, it doesn't bother me anymore"

both calmed down after i said that

"So what now?"

I decided to ask to see what their plan was, as I already had a plan on what I'll do

"Now we look for more survivors and try to escape this city"

said kaito, remi nodding along

"Sounds like a plan, got any place you thi-"

*CRASH*

before I could finish what I was asking, a large honkai beast had busted through the building making us all jump down to the streets

"Now that's a big one"

said remi readying herself for the fight

"Big? Now that is the understatement of the year"

retorted kaito, unsheathing his katana, falling into a stance in preparation for the fight

"This one's gonna be a hard one to take down" bringing up my makeshift polearm, ready to fight

'use skill- raikiri raishin'

'use skill- battle rush'

(Skill activation- raikiri raishin, battle rush: increased speed and reaction time)

(Debuff added- increased stamina consumption)

(Notice- use active skills [5/5] reward: activate skills without using "use skill")

'Now that's something useful'

"ALRIGHT, LETS GET STARTED"

I said, rushing into the battle

The beast seeing me rushing towards it, lets out a loud roar before swinging its arm towards me

'hit rebound'

(skill activation- hit rebound: deflect an in-coming hit, create an opening after the deflect)

deflecting the in-coming attack, the beast staggering back lightly, creating an opening for me to exploit

'pierc-

"HAAAA"

before i could use my skill to land another blow on the monster, remi had rushed in using the opening made and landed a very heavy punch right to the middle of the beast, sending the beast back crashing back into the building

at that moment i saw something unexpected, there it was a stigmata on her nape, slightly glowing

'Is that a stigmata? is she a valkyrie? wait she can't be a valkyrie, if she was one, help would have already arrived'

deciding to ask her about it later i focused again on the fight

"Don't try to take all the fun for yourself"

said remi, turing around and pointing an accusing finger at me, seeing the beast getting up from the rubble about to lash out at remi i quickly rushed behind remi to tank the hit

'Absolute guard'

(Skill activation- absolute guard: take 40% less damage on the next hit you take)

*CLANG*

My arms shook as i blocked the hit getting thrown up into the air in the process

'dang another skill with its effects changed, there is seriously something up with this system'

"Thanks for that"

remi thanked me before moving out of the way as I see kaito run up, cutting the attacking arm clean off its body in the process

at that moment, i, for the second time I saw something unexpected, a stigmata on his right shoulder, this one also glowing slightly

'ok now there's something very off about all this'

"Don't leave me out of the fun"

said kaito standing besides remi both of them looking behind at me

"so how are we gonna do this?"

asked kaito, to which i just smiled and answered

"Beat it up until its dead"

As the battle progressed further, we managed to beat the honkai beast... or so we thought we did

"Well that was quite the fight"

i said as i sat down on the ground

"I can agree with that one"

said kaito with remi kicking the downed honkai beast

"That was easier then expected, just goes to show how good of a team we are"

what followed was a proud laughter from the girl with kaito laughing along

'These two are definitely lively and fun to be around but, about thier stigmatas, i should probably ask them about it'

"so you two about those red things i saw on your bodies, are those tattoos?"

they both looked confused for a moment until remi made a noise of realisation

"oh that tattoo on my nape? it just suddenly appeared there after all this went down"

"same for me it just suddenly appeared and gave us both a boost in strength"

added in kaito to which remi nodded along

"Why'd you ask?"

questioned kaito to which i just responded

"thought they looked cool thats all haha"

'natural stigmatas huh, awakened because of the eruption i suppose'

another thought came to mind the next moment

'the main trio, i still haven't yet come across them, did i arrive after they got picked up by the hyperion?'

"Helloooo, is zeren still with us?"

my inner ramblings came to stop when i heard remi ask while waving her hand infront of my face

"Yes im still here just... thinking about something"

i got and eyebrow raise as a response but before she could say anything

"WATCH OUT"

shouted kaito as he moved in to push remi out of the way as he blocked an unexpected attack from the supposed downed honkai beast

"Target locked, Project bunny 19C"

before we could get back into action a small girl with a robot looking thing behind her, jumped down from the building, before she could land, the robot swiftly blasted the honkai beast through its head as she does a perfect landing

"Target eliminated"

with a homu doll in her arms i quickly realised it was bronya

"Perfect timing as always bronya!"

said a voice i recognised instantly.
