Ch-2 Hectic night
"perfect timing as always bronya!"
hearing that voice i instanly recognised who it was
"WHAT THE HELL?!"
"WHAT THE FUCK?!"
i heard 2 voices curse loudly at the exact same time
"you can't just take the spotlight with that monster robot of yours, it was me who was supposed to defeat that honkai beast and save them like a true hero would!"
another voice i recognised as none other but the spicy tuna herself kiana kaslana
"kiana idiotka would have only made the situation worse"
and just like that another argument started between them
"now now kiana-chan you shouldn't get angry at bronya-chan for doing the right thing"
"who's side are you on mei- senpai"
kiana started clinging to mei as she asks her that, as i just stand there looking at the interaction with a slight smile
'seeing those three infront of me just feels unreal but here i am, just standing here with them just there having their moment'
looking back to see kaito and remi walking towards me, i asked kaito
"you ok kaito? you did take a direct hit from that beast"
"yeah I'm ok just that my arms are a bit shaky, that one's hits were way stronger than the one's i fought before"
with me just shrugging in response
"well what did you expect? it was bigger than the ones we would see roaming around on the streets, what about you remi?"
"I'm alright, just the knuckles that hurt a bit, but that's besides the point here, did you see that little girl and how she jumped" she went on and described the stunt that bronya had pulled off in front of them
"uhm..." i quickly turn around to see that the trio had approached us with mei trying to start a conversation
'i can't let her know that i already know everything about her or else I'll have quite the lot of things to explain myself on'
"uh.. can i help you with something?" i could feel the inner me just face palm hard
"i just wanted to know if any of you are injured and in need of medical care"
looking back at remi and kaito, they both shook their head indicating that they had not sustained any major injuries
"not to worry none of us have sustained any noteworthy injuries..." glancing down at her arm i see a deep cut, quickly saying
"you really should get that wound patched up quickly or it might get infected"
making mei hide her arm behind her back
"we dont have much things to patch up a wound like that" making me speak up again
"i did see a drug store before, there might be something there useable"
"the bronya had already checked out all drug stores in the city before hand, anything that the bronya could find was unusable" hearing that i slightly frowned
without much thinking i said to mei
"show me your arm" taking the arm in my hand
'generous heal'
(skill activation- generous heal: heal physical wounds on the targated area)
putting my other hand on the wound as it gave off a slight green glow and a few seconds later the wound on mei's arm had completely disappeared
"and thats taken care of" i froze as i realised what i had just done
mei just looked at her arm and back to me, our eyes met and a slight blush painted both of our face
"the bronya detects the usage of honkai energy, target locked- fire"
*BANG*
before i could react project bunny fired a shot at me
(passive skill activated- emergency shield: a shield of honkai that will appear when the user is truly caught off-guard, reduces the damage taken by 60%)
"WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT FOR?" i yelled as i walked out of the smoke with a heavily damaged right arm
mei worried tried to hurry over to me but was stopped by bronya
"dont move mei- neesama, the bronya deems him a potential threat" readying to fire a shot again
quickly project bunny moved to block an incoming attack from kaito whos eyes were heavily narrowed, before bronya could move remi moved in to attack bronya but was stopped by kiana
"ENOUGH"
i yelled loudly again with now all the attention on me
"this is all a very big misunderstanding, so how about we find a safe place to sit down, and discuss our situation"
after everything had calmed down introductions were made and apologies were said
"would subject zeren like to explain how he can use honkai energy without any apperent drawbacks?" asked bronya to which i just sighed
"it's because of my stigmata"
'yes this should work, me being able to do things i can do'
"the bronya would like to analyse your stigmata subject zeren" i complied to her request as i removed the glove covering my right hand and on top of it there it was, my stigmata or you can say that its my skill-set system
"oh wait you have the same type of tattoo like us" said remi taking a closer look at my stigmata
"so you did know what those were when you asked us about our... stigmatas" letting out a nervous laugh i replied
"well yeah i did know what they were but i wasn't sure when i saw that you both had one, especially you kaito, most if not all the time only females possesses a stigmata, so seeing one on you, a boy is a pretty rare thing" making kaitos eyes widen a bit
"didn't expect a tattoo of all things to be such a rare thing, but you have one too, what's the odds of that happening?"
"pretty damn low but ay, im not complaining, this does help me help fight the honkai and protect myself"
making kaito laugh a little on hearing my words
after bronya was done analysing my stigmata, both the groups had decided to help each other out in escaping the city or wait until help arrives, after that was everyone decided to take a quick rest
everyone was asleep in the empty apartment we found, whereas me
'i cant sleep'
getting up from the ground i see kaito and remi asleep, leaning on each other and on the other side of the room i see mei, asleep while bronya and kiana lay their head on her lap
taking the katana i found in the apartment with me as i head to the roof of the building, came across a few zombies on the way, which were taken care of without any trouble
reaching the door to the roof i tried to open it but it didnt, tried to open it again and failed once again, so in the end i just ended up kicking it open, i was met with a clear night sky with only the noise of wind blowing past, going up to the edge of the building and standing on it, overlooking the destroyed city
"it's pretty peacefull up here isn't it?" the question by mei startled me, making me almost trip over the ledge
swiftly mei runs over and grabs my arm pulling me away from the ledge making us both fall in the process, i move my arm under her head to make sure her head didn't hit the floor
i stop myself from falling into her with one of my arms holding me up and my other arm under her head
we both stayed in the same postion for what felt like hour but it was just a few seconds, a huge blush erupted on both our face as we scrambled to get out of the position we were in
"...thanks for that" i said looking away slightly trying to hide my flushed face
hearing my words mei just smiled with a slight blush still visible "no need to thank me, i did startle you so I'm at fault here"
"it's fine, besides it was me was who had the idea to stand on the ledge" letting out a light laugh
"so what brings you up here?" i asked mei going back to the ledge and sitting down on it with my legs dangling over the building
"i heard some noises coming from up here so i came up to check what was it that made all the noises" walking up to the ledge and standing besides me
"oh that, some zombies were in the way" giving a glance towards mei i spoke again "you should go back and rest up"
"yes i shall go back and you should go and rest up too" replied mei, starting to walk towards the roof entrance
"yeah I'll be there in a bit" hearing the door click close i took my phone out of my pocket noticing some major changes done to it
'the phone's brand changed with my wallpaper'
opening up my contacts list with it being completely empty
'seems like everything from my previous life has been erased from my phone, only the music remains'
putting my phone back i took out my wallet to check everything i had in it
the wallet had some cash, my id and passport, taking the id and giving it a look over,

'no family name? fair enough i guess'
i see a picture of me on the side
'i know that i didn't look in a mirror once after coming to this world but i didn't expect myself to look like this'
a sharp face with messy black hair and red eyes
'yeah i look like a typical isekai MC, might dye some parts of hair after i get out of here'
with that done i decided to finally go back and try to sleep again, but before i could get up i saw a honkai beast on one of the rooftops below me
'that one looks weird'
i made a finger gun gesture towards the beast
'maji shot'
(skill activation- maji shot: shoot a bullet made of honkai energy)
seeing a bright pink bullet hit the beast and kill it instantly i smiled and walked back to door
TIME SKIP
THE NEXT DAY
a day has passed since i have been in this world, so far everything seemed to go pretty well
we decided on going to the mall and scavenge for any supplies
"cover me!" mei said as she rushed towards a horde of zombies and honkai beasts, dashing straight to the largest one in the horde
what followed was quick gunshots and lazers downing zombies or beast going near mei as she focused on the biggest one of them all, cutting it down before it could attack
"always" exclaimed kiana with bronya just blocking an incoming arc-angel which got punched out of existence by remi
"don't zone-out on me here man" said kaito cutting down a zombie that i didn't notice approaching me
"sorry about that, where were we again?" i asked said i cut down some zombies and honkai beasts
"clearing this horde so we can go check if there any supplies here" moving out of a incoming attack from a arc-angel with me going in to cut it in half from the middle
"right"
after we were done clearing out the horde of zombies and beasts form the ground floor of the mall
"everythings trashed" said bronya as i let out a disappointed sigh
"man, we haven't found anything good here"
"nyet, the bronya found a limited addition arahato homu doll" holding up a homu doll in a mecha ninja suit, "good for you bronya" i said as i gave the little girl a headpat
"I'll go check the other side of this mall, you can go back to the group if you want to" bronya nodded in response
walking to the other side of the mall i saw quite the amount of stores including a clothing store in which i was in currently
looking in a mirror i gave myself a look over seeing that the clothes i had on were very torn up
'right i crash landed here, course my clothes are all torn up'
5 minutes later
'yeah this is good enough'
i decided to go for simple t-shirt with thin open jacket over it and cargo pants with a pair of high tops
"alright I'm back" i said walking back to the group with a bag full of supplies
"took you lon- how do you have new clothes?" asked remi to which i just pointed behind me "there's a clothing store on the other side, you all can go get a new pair of clothing if you all want to"
sitting down and dropping the supplies i found with the pile of supplies others found
"i think I'll do that" said kaito getting up to start heading to the store "you coming remi?" he asked remi to which she said yes
"wait up, I'm coming too!" exclaimed kiana with bronya behind her "the bronya shall come to make sure kiana idiotka doesn't do anything stupid"
"are you not coming mei?" asked kiana to which mei just shook her head in an indication of a no "I'm ok, i don't think i need a new change of clothes" insted of taking no as a answer kiana just dragged mei with her to the store
watching them all walk away i put in the pair of earbuds i found in a electornics store connecting it to my phone i play some music i had saved on it
seeing a horde of zombies walk into the mall i get up with my katana in hand and earbuds still pluged in
"lets get this over with quickly"
'raikiri raishin'
5 minutes later
"were back" said mei seeing me finishing off the horde of zombies, not getting a response mei walked up behind me and tapping my shoulder as i finally looked back
removing my earbuds i asked "whats wrong?"
looking mei over to check for any injuries but rather than injuries i found her in a new set of clothings in which she looked rather stunning in
"you look really good in that" i blurted it out without thinking, hearing my words her face went bright red "th- thank you" looking down at the ground trying to hide her face
realisation setting in on what i said i swiftly turned around
"we should start going back to the camp before it gets dark" i quickly said starting to walk towards the exit
the walk back to the camp was filled with an akward atmosphere between me and mei with kiana glaring at the back of my head throughout the whole walk, the only ones not affected by this were kaito and remi, they had their hand intertwined the whole walk
after reaching the camp everyone had been doing their own thing and i had once again decided to go up to the roof to look over the city again and see if theres anything I'm missed here
'i wonder whens himeko gonna arrive here'
somewhere in central hong kong
*sneeze*
"its way too cold here" said himeko on a balcony of a banquet hall
"than we might want to move inside, cant let a beauty like you get uncomfortable can i now?"
said a young man moving closer to her but before anything else could be said a large ship could be seen shining its lights on himeko
"what the hell is that?!" exclaimed the young man "and i thought i can get a few days off work"
before the young man could ask what she ment, himeko pulled the young man by his tie moving him close to her face
"sorry bout this sugar, but gotta cut this date short" as she punched him hard in his gut making him pass out on the spot
"major" a lady with glasses came up to himeko and handing her a coat to put on
"you better have a good reason on why i was interrupted on my date" said himeko
"we have sensed high levels of honkai from the city nagazora, we speculate that another eruption has happend and a new herrsher might have been awakened"
hearing this she froze for a second as a wild smile crossed her face
"ALL CREW ON DECK, DESTINATION: NAGAZORA"
'its about time, the 3rd eruption'
back to zeren
'I'll go back now'
getting up from the ledge i start going back, opening the door to the roof i see mei walking up the stairs to the roof, seeing each other we both looked away with a slight blush on both of our faces
"c-can we talk?" asked mei to which i agreed "yeah sure"
both of us are on the roof again, not knowing what to say
"so.." i started
"what did you want to talk about?" i continued
"about what happened at the mall... did you?"
"yes, i meant what i said" i quickly answered turning away slightly as to hide my face
"i see, im glad that you think i look good in this type of clothing" said mei "i think we should go back now" mei said quickly, going down the with me following after her
getting back we saw kiana and bronya having an argument and remi and kaito once again resting with both leaning on each other, deciding i should get some rest too, i lean back on the wall and close my eyes
Mei's pov
"what's wrong kiana?" i asked, seeing kiana sulking "how come bronya get's to lay her head on mei's lap and not me?"
"don't be like that kiana, without bronya-chan's help we wouldn't have gotten this far" making kiana roll her eyes
"yeah yeah of course bronya's sooo incredible, mei likes her the best" making mei let out a nervous laugh
"yes i do like bronya the best" making kiana choke out a "what"
"but i love kiana the most" i continued making kiana hug me tightly
"now that i think about mei-senpai and zeren- senpai have gotten somewhat close" said kiana making my blush return in full force "it's.. um.. not like tha-"
"EVERYONE MOVE"
a few seconds earlier
Zeren's pov
(passive skill activation- danger sense: sense incoming attacks 5 seconds before the hit connects)
making me jolt up and scream
"EVERYONE MOVE"
hearing me scream kaito and remi jolted up and jumped back towards kiana, mei and bronya
*CRASH*
a extremely large honkai beast crashed through the building seconds later
'protective sphere'
(skill activation- protective sphere: create a sphere of honkai energy around the user and others absorbing 95% of damage and 5% damage delt to the user)
thanks to the bubble everyone was unharmed but making me spit out a little bit of blood from my mouth
the beast launched it's lance towards the bubble but met it half way through was project bunny's lance, seeing the opportunity to strike kaito and remi tried to move into attack but were swatted away along with bronya
"kaito, remi!"
"bronya-chan!"
me and both mei exclaimed in concern seeing them get swated away
"MEI MOVE"
i screamed again seeing the huge beast swing it's blade down onto mei
"if you keep thinking about bronya, i might get jealous you know" said kiana pushing mei out of the way taking the hit insted getting her back slashed open, collapsing on mei
mei dropping to the ground with kiana in her arms "ki-kiana" said mei with tears gathering in her eyes
the beast bringing its sword down on mei again, as i moved in between them to stop the attack from connecting
"FOCUS MEI, GET OUT OF HERE" i screamed again "b-but what about yo-"
"I CANT HOLD THIS THING FOR LONG" hearing my words mei quickly got up with kiana in her arms but before she could start running
*shatter*
the katana in my hands shattered under the pressure of the larger honkai beast and i had my chest sliced open
i could feel my vision fading again seeing the glimps of mei's horrified face with tears streaming down her beautiful face
"ZEREN" i heard mei scream as my vision faded to black
Mei's pov
as i got up to run to safety as zeren said, turing around but before i could start running
*shatter*
quickly turning back around to see what had shattered as i saw zeren's katana snaped in half, getting his chest slashed open and collapsing to the ground
'no no this can't be happening, why now'
for mei seeing both kiana and zeren getting injured fatally for her made something snap inside of her, dropping down to her knees, the beast bringing it's sword down on her again but it could hit her
"AHHHHHHHHHHH"
mei let out a loud cry, her voice echoing
*crackle*
a barrier getting erected blocking the swing from the beast, as sparks of lightning started to surround mei and on her left hip the stigmata of the herrsher of thunder appeared
mei with with kiana still in her arms started to float up in the air, extending her arm outwards creating a large ball of pure thunder at her hands
"the queen does not accept your service worm, now die."
with she blasted the ball of thunder towards the beast, destroying it instantly making a huge piller of thunder shoot up in the sky and destroying the area around it
Himeko's pov
"the honkai levels have spiked to herrsher levels, what shall be our next move major?"
hearing those words i just smiled
"looks like we hit a jackpot this time around"
"there is still time to retreat major" i just laughed hearing that "non-sense, we have a prey and were gonna hunt it"
"LEVEL 1 ALERT! ALL CREW TO BATTLE STATIONS, GET READY FOR AN HERRSHER"
3rd person pov
"humph, stupid human going and getting herself messed up, only I'm allowed to kill you, do you understand"
before the herrsher could do anything else, she had multiple lights shining upon her, seeing a huge battleship come into sight above her
"so this is the herrsher this time around, just a girl? i expected something more scarier"
himeko looking back to the crew spoke
"prepare all the artillery and cannons, the target is the herrsher"
the herrsher seeing cannons pop out from the ship narrowed her eyes and started to prepare another thunder attack to shoot at the battle ship
"no one looks down upon the queen" after saying that she blasted a hole through the large battleship
"MAJOR! our external armor plating has been compromised, i recommend we retreat" said the lady with glasses
"does the brat even have any idea how expensive it's gonna be to fix the damages done to this ship?"
said himeko while taking her coat off
"activate reactors 5 and 6, switch to reserve power, bring us down to the herrshers altitude in 2 minutes" she barked out the commands before going into the hanger being followed by the lady with glasses
"xaou, take in-charge of the bridge, I'll have to deal with this myself" making xaou ask
"your going to use "that" aren't you?"
"not like we have another option in this matter" said back himeko
Zeren's pov
'did i die again?'
hearing no response i just sighed
(skill activation- immortal: makes the user immortal for 5 minutes)
(debuff added- pass out after 5 minutes are up)
jolting up, looking down at my chest, sure enough the wound is still there but no pain
'well whatever'
looking up to see what was happening, i saw the hyperion with a huge hole through the middle of it and there she was mei with her herrsher persona in control flying up towards the ship
'dammit i gotta help himeko out'
'sonic leap'
(skill activation- sonic leap: preform a high altitude jump)
Himeko's pov
"you insect how dare you oppose me? I'll reduce you to ashes" seeing the herrsher blast a thunder beam towards me i readied myself
(nexus system activated, max output)
"sorry but I'm not going down untill i find myself a real nice guy" letting out my own attack to cut the herrshers attack in half making it go past me to the sides of hyperion without doing any harm, as the clash of attacks ended, i heard something i didn't want to hear
(system overheated, automated shutdown initiated: 3 minutes left)
'shit don't shut down on me yet, im still not done with the herrsher'
i saw another attack incoming but i couldnt bring up my sword in time to block it
expecting to feel pain but to my surprise the pain never came, opening my eyes i saw something unexpected
"fucking hell, that was close"
seeing a young man standing infront of me with his arm outstreched with a glowing pink barrier before it
'is that honkai energy?'
"you ok there hottiee?" i heard the young man ask me
"yeah I'm all good" i responded
seeing him turn making my eyes widen, there was a huge cut going form his right shoulder to his left hip, and some blood leaking from his lips
"i don't have much time, mind helping me snap her out of her funk?" he asked at the exact time i got a message
"(major, we have gotten orders to capture the herrsher alive and bring her and the white haired girl back to base)" making me curse under my breath
"copy that"
looking back at the boy i asked "alright sugar, whats the plan?" to which he just gave me a smile
"no plans"
making me stare at him dumbfoundedly
Zeren's pov
'ill try to aim for her wings to see if that will snap her out of it'
"aim for the wings" i said as himeko nodded "got it" out streaching my hands
'i dont have much time, I'll have to try everything i can before my timer runs out'
'blade arsenal'
(skill activation- blade arsenal: summon any blade the user is able to summon)
(passive skill activation- bald work: speed and agility increased)
summoning a sword, ready for the fight
"cover me" i said as i rushed in
seeing me rush in the herrsher lets out multiple energy slashes which were destroyed by himeko, slashing at the herrsher, she summoned her own blade blocking my attack giving me a grin
"do you really thing you can defeat me?"
to which i just grined back
"no but i know she can"
"take this brat!"
himeko coming up from behind mei and slashing at one of her wings making it shatter into a million pieces
"AAAHHHHHH"
the herrsher let out a distorted cry with me and himeko both getting blown back by a barrier being erected
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING THE FOOLISH HUMAN IS GOING TO SURFACE AGAIN"
slashing at both himeko and me, moving infront of himeko again i said
"stay behind me" outstretching my arm
'barrier'
(skill activation- barrier: create a barrier made of honkai energy to absorb every attack for the duration of 2 seconds)
"give... mei... back" i see kiana reach out to the herrsher's other wing shattering it with her bare hands making the herrsher persona finally disappear and making them both fall down in the process
as himeko caught mei in her arms and i caught kiana in my arms
in my arms kiana looked up at me and gave a weak smile and asked
"did i get mei back?" smiling back at her
"yeah, you did kiana" i answered making kiana let out a light laugh and passing out again afterwards
walking towards himeko i can feel myself getting light headed
Himeko's pov
"we got the herrsher and the girl, time to go back home" i spoke into my earpiece
"(copy that)" came the response of xaou
looking behind me i saw the young man walking towards me with the white haired girl in his arms
"we'll take it from here" i heard the medical team say, i handed them herrsher and the young man handed them the white haired girl
"thanks for the help" i heard him say to which i just smiled
"i should be the one thanking you for saving me back there" to which he just let out a laugh
"like I'm gonna let a beauty like you die" making me look at him amusedly
"I'm himeko murata and, your name's...?"
"its zeren, just zeren" to which i just nod but before i could say anything else
"hey himeko, mind catching me?" before i could ask what he ment by that i saw him collapsing to the floor
quickly moving in to catch him in my arms and sit down on the floor with his head on my lap
"(is that guy ok major?)" i heard xaou ask me
"yeah his breathing seems fine but the wound on his ches-" looking to his chest i see that the wound i saw before had been completely healed up
"(wound on his what?)" xaou asked again
"its nothing, he's completely fine just needs some rest i suppose" i said as i could feel the teasing smile on xaou's face when she spoke
"(alright then major, you can take your time giving the guy his re-)" i cut off the coms before she could complete her sentence
looking down to see zeren's face, i shook my head as the implication of xaou's words kept popping up in my head
"what a hectic night" i couldn't help but say
what she didn't notice was the small blush on her face

AN: aight done with the nagazora arc decided to keep it short and simple and not drag it out
