Alright; let's get right into the action!
Here is Chapter Seven of "Titan Slayer!"
Enjoy! :)
If there were two things that Gareth can differ between the train and this vehicle, which he since learned was a Magic Mobile, it would be the speed and the drawback.
The speed was definitely faster than that of the train. One of the windows was open to keep Natsu from hyperventilating over his motion sickness, though there were a few times where he attempted to go overboard; but it was enough for Gareth to feel the sharp winds blowing past the vehicle, as well as the rocky bumps he would feel on the gravel driveway.
Then there was the drawback, which to him was more severe than the speed. In order for the vehicle to move, the driver must attach a wristband around their arm. This would allow the vehicle to drain Ethernano from the driver; thus completing the process of transportation. However, what makes this a drawback is the duration of Ethernano it can drain. If the driver uses the vehicle after a long period of time, they would risk passing out.
In this case, Erza was the driver, with Gareth, Lucy, Natsu, and Happy were seated inside, while Gray chose to ride on top of the Magic Mobile. Gareth didn't show any concern for Erza at this moment, but knowing of the risk, he hoped that wherever the vehicle took them won't be a long run.
But right now they weren't traveling. Currently, the group was standing over a cliff, watching over where the train had its next stop; there was a bit of smoke coming from the train station, while many pedestrians were seen gathered around, including a number of Rune Knights. From the panicked cries, and voices of frustration Gareth can hear from his senses, he can deduct what happened there. Unfortunately, the boy could not sense any direct links of Ethernano down there, but there were traces; meaning only one thing.
"Eisenwald was here, but they have since left," Gareth stated out loud.
"And they took over the train," Gray added.
"Why would they do that though?" Lucy questioned, "What is their goal here?"
"Usually trains are used for fast travel. So whatever they plan on doing with Lullaby, they're possibly gonna do it quick," Erza guessed.
"That, or they are alerted by our presence and are trying to get away," Gareth adds in.
"...That's also possible," Erza eventually nods, her eyes narrowing a bit.
"Well, the next stop after this is in Oshibana," Gray stated, "We can try catching up to them over there."
Gareth didn't really have to say anything to that, as he sense the traces of Ethernano moving along the train tracks.
"We'll likely find some Rune Knights over there too," Lucy added in, "This will definitely bring their attention now."
"Right," Erza agreed, before turning around to the Magic Mobile, "Lets move out!"
"Erza, you need to slow down! You're gonna lose all your magic at this rate!" Gray shouted at her, as the vehicle he was latching onto made its way through the downtown area of Oshibana.
"I don't care! People's lives are at stake right now! Eisenwald cannot be allowed to use Lullaby!" Erza shouted back, keeping her eyes on the road, even as she made a sharp turn, "Besides, even if I do run out, I'll still have you all at my side! So when that time comes, please lend me your strength!"
Gareth watched the armored wizard speed up the Magic Mobile, as he was keeping a hold on Natsu from falling over once again. The boy was now starting to share the same concerns Gray had; so, not wanting to take any risks, he decided to catch a glimpse of how much Ethernano Erza had left inside her. ...So far, she still has a large chunk remaining. Not sure how many wizards we will face, but hopefully Erza will be able to help, Gareth thought.
While he was thinking on this, the boy overheard Happy speak to Lucy, "I feel like there's something I should tell you, Lucy."
"What is it?" Lucy asked the cat, "Does it have to do what's going on now?"
"No; unrelated. But I do think it's something important..., but I can't remember what though," Happy said, as he put his paw up to his chin in deep thought, his voice lessening to a murmur, "Hmm, what about her?...Lucy...her hair? No, that can't be it... a quest? No... fish? I like fish... no, no focus..."
Lucy nor Gareth weren't sure what the cat was referring to; even the former sweatdropped at that point.
Fortunately for all, they didn't have to go any longer, as the Magic Mobile was nearing the Oshibana train station, where they notice another group of pedestrians gathering near with Rune Knights guarding the entrance.
Once they closed in, Erza stops the vehicle; allowing everybody to get off and head to the back of the crowd, with the exception of Gareth carrying Natsu over his shoulder.
The boy can hear his companion moan in agony, which only spread his concern to him. Know that there has been a lot of travel. But hopefully this is the end too; Natsu needs it right now, Gareth thought, before focusing back towards the train station, Now, lets see if Eisenwald is still here.
Gareth then closed his eyes and began concentrating for any signs of Ethernano.
While he did so, Erza decided to get through the crowd and walk up to one of the Rune Knights. "Excuse me sir, what's going on here?" she asked them.
The officer looks at her and answers in a stern tone, "I'm sorry, ma'am. But I can't an-"
Bonk!
Before the officer could finish, Erza headbutts them hard, knocking them out in the process.
Erza then stomps over to the officer next to them, "What's going on!?"
This officer didn't say anything, either caught off guard by the girl's action or just too late to do so, before she knocked them out with another headbutt.
Lucy, Gray, and Happy could only stare at their friend continuing to headbutt the officers out of commission, the former completely dumbfounded.
"That just looks... counterproductive," Lucy sweatdrops again, slouching at the ongoing scene.
"Well, that's Erza for you," Gray simply replied, arms crossed and not bothered.
"WHERE ARE YOUR CLOTHES!?"
"Erza!" Gareth opens his eyes and called out, until he also notice what she was doing.
By the time he did so, all the guards were knocked out; slumping or lying on the ground. When Erza turn to look at Gareth, the crowd had given her a wide berth around her, showing signs that they were now afraid of her more than the guards.
Gareth didn't say anything else...
His right eye twitches.
Do not understand why the others do not want me to, but for some reason me really wants to hit her right now... Instincts are saying no, Gareth slowly thought.
"What is it, Gareth?" Erza finally called out, though she did felt a bit annoyed by his silence.
The boy snapped out of the stupor and shakes his head, before replying back, "Eisenwald is still inside."
Erza momentarily nods back, before she, Gareth, and the others began running toward the entrance and inside the building.
...Maybe me should talk to Erza once this is over.
"No way...," Lucy said, before covering her mouth.
The others had a similar reaction over what they saw before them. Not long after they entered the building, the group came across a large number of Rune Knights all laying on the ground, next to the walls, and even on the stairs badly beaten up with dark bruises and deep cuts. It was a horrible sight to look at, but to most of them it felt normal to see too.
Even Gareth shared that, though he couldn't shake away the fierce glare in his eyes. This was the first time he saw a human this badly hurt, but to him it was the same as abusing an animal... and the boy despised that comparison.
"They are all alive... but barely," Gareth softly said, though loud enough for everyone else to hear. Still,... my instincts think they did this on purpose.
"This just got a lot more serious," Gray said in a sharp tone.
"We'll contact the authorities once this is over," Erza stated, before continuing forward, "Let's hurry."
The others soon followed, making their way past the unconscious bodies.
But they didn't make it far for them to finally reach their destination.
The group soon reached the end of the hallway when they arrived in a large room with two floors, most likely a maintenance area of the station. In this room was every single member of Eisenwald glaring down at the group, with many giving off a hungry sneer; amongst them included the pony-tailed wizard that Gareth and Natsu encountered earlier. However, out of everyone, standing on the ledge of the second floor was none other than the Reaper himself.
"Well, well, well, look who finally decided to show up," Erigor smiled sinisterly down at the group, carrying his scythe behind his shoulders, as many of his guild members began to laugh along with him, "Welcome, Fairy Tail files!"
"There's so many of them," Lucy whispered, sounding fearful at the large crowd; already noticing a few glancing at her inappropriately.
"It is to be expected. The knights were outnumbered," Gareth briefly reasons with her, as he placed Natsu on the ground.
"You must be Erigor?" Erza glares back at the man, gritting her teeth.
"Yes, I am," said dark wizard widen his smile.
"You expected us too?" Gareth raised his voice, calling out to the Reaper.
Erigor snickered, not even bothered by the boy's anger, "Of course. I didn't want you all to miss the main event."
Just as he said this, his ponytailed lackey from below suddenly shouted out at the group, or more specifically Gareth and a sick-ridden Natsu. "You two!" he began, "I got in trouble because of what you did! You're both gonna pay!"
"...That voice," Natsu eventually muttered out, starting to regain his strength. Gareth noticed this and form a small smile at his companion's recovery.
"Enough talk!" Erza shouted angrily, "What are your plans with Lullaby, Erigor!?"
Said man began by pulling out the cursed flute from his jacket, before floating off the ledge; this surprised a few within the group.
"He's flying!" Lucy uttered out.
"It's Wind Magic!" Happy recognized.
Erigor continued flying in the air until he landed on top of one of the lights attached to the wall. "Tell me, what do all train stations have?" he gestured to the group.
Gareth narrows his eyes, Okay... will play your game.
The boy then looks down and goes into deep thought, Lets see... do not know much of a train station..., but let us say that a train station is the same as a train. What does a train have? ...Hmmm... the wheels and carts do not match, so what else is there? ...Earlier, me did hear someone on the train when me and Natsu fought that guy. It was said over a-
Gareth widen his eyes in realization and horror.
Erza was also able to figure it out, "You plan to use Lullaby over the loudspeakers!?"
"Bingo!" Erigor said, his smile now showing his teeth, "All those people outside this building, and even those all throughout the town, will bear under the cursed song of Lullaby!"
"Why!? Why do all of this!?" Gray now spoke, his voice seething in rage, "Those people had done nothing to you!"
"You see, that's where you're wrong! They have done something to us!" Erigor shouted back, "They were the ones who banished us from society; made us who we are today! It is because of them that our rights have been revoked! With us having Lullaby now, we will deliver them punishment."
"But don't you want those rights back!?" Lucy shouted, trying to reason with him, "You know using Lullaby will only prevent you from regaining them even further!"
"We don't want our rights back!" Erigor responded, swiping his hand at them, "All we want now is to take away the rights of those who took them from us; and most of all, we want absolute power. Once we achieve both, we will be able to wash away the sins of our past and take control of what happens in the future!"
Gareth could only frown from what he was hearing; he was also gonna add his take on all this too, but when Erigor first responded back to Erza, the boy sensed something. Erigor is not telling the truth... well, not the whole truth. There is something that he is hiding from us. But what? ...Will have to confront him once we deal with them all, he thought.
Nevertheless, the boy almost felt sorry for Eisenwald. He never experienced losing his rights himself, but Gareth understood what it was like to lose a part of something that is sacred to someone. The only thing that kept him from giving them sympathy was the fact that the situation they were in was brought onto themselves. If they had just followed the rules, then none of this would have happened, Gareth thought.
Once he finished his thinking, Gareth heard the ponytailed wizard speak. "We'll be the ones who'll spread darkness over these lands! You flies will be long gone when that happens!" the man shouts at them all before slamming his hand down on the stone floor. He immediately unleashed his magic, creating a tendril of shadow arrows that burst from the ground and were quickly aimed at the Fairy Tail team.
But fortunately, before they could reach them, a burst of fire magic was fired back; countering the shadow magic and creating a mini explosion.
"I knew that voice sounded familiar!" a fully recovered angry Natsu said, still holding out his hand before drawing it back into a fist, "I'm gonna make you pay for disrespecting my guild's name, Taco Yammie!"
"IT'S KAGEYAMA!" the wizard said, finally introducing himself to Gareth.
Erigor only smirked at the interaction, before floating back up, directing his attention back at his members, "Now, I would love to stay and chat more, but I have preparations to make. In the meantime, I'll leave these flies to you."
After this was said, Erigor then used his Wind magic to disappear.
"Damnit!" Erza cursed at the Reaper's action, "He must have not gone too far!" She then paused, as she turns back toward her friends, "Natsu, Gray; go after him! We cannot allow him to use Lullaby! Gareth, Lucy, and I will handle it here!"
"What!?" both boys began to protest, having their own plans in mind while giving each other a side glare.
"JUST DO IT!" Erza, having none of it, ordered them with a sharp glare. This caused the boys to jump in fright for a moment before heading off toward the hallway to their right.
However, there were those within the Eisenwald crowd who were having none of that either.
"There's no way I'll let them ruin our plans. I'm going after the half naked fly!" a wizard with bandages wrapped around his arms said, before using his bandages to pull him up the second floor and through another pathway.
Gareth noticed Kageyama staring at him for a moment. "I'm going after Salamander; and once I'm done with him, I'm coming for you kid," the wizard said, before using his Shadow magic to submerge himself into the ground.
"...Do not count on it," Gareth glared to the now empty space, before turning his attention back to the rest of the guild.
"Us... against them?" the boy heard Lucy speak beside him, sensing the tension covering her body.
Gareth momentarily turns at her and smiles, "You can do this, Lucy. Your spirits will help grant you aid, and if things get too close then use your whip."
Even as he said that, the remaining members overheard a few within the crowd begin to mock them.
"Hehehe; two girls, one guy, and a tiny cat? This will be a piece of cake," one member said.
"My mother said to never hit a woman, but I'll make today an exception," another member said.
"What is that boy gonna do? Be their knight in shining armor? I bet he won't last for a minute," a third member taunted.
"And those girls? Heh, the only thing they're carrying is their fragile beauty. It's a shame that'll be broken today," a fourth member went even further.
Gareth couldn't help but hear Lucy whine behind him, feeling most insulted by the last comment, "But my beauty is one of the most important things to me. I can't let them tarnish that!"
"This is no time for self reflection, Lucy!" Happy argued, trying to calm down his friend.
Gareth close his eyes and lets out an audible deep sigh, catching some of the Eisenwald members attention. Nothing else happens at first, but then just as a few started to move, everyone notice a blue glow thrumming from Gareth's veins and strands of hair, and a dark blue aura shimmering around his body. Gareth then opens his now blue eyes, letting out a deep earthly growl.
"Did you all not hear what was said?" Gareth called out to the dark wizards in the room, as he curled his hands toward the large group, nails having turned sharp, "Do not count on it."
Immediately after, Erza holds out her hand and, with an ounce of her magic, summons a sword out for her to grab. "And never judge a book by its cover," the armored wizard joined in on the boy's threat.
The dark wizards were not convinced by this, with one of them finally giving the call sign for the imminent battle, "GET 'EM!"
And so it begins.
Eisenwald's front line began charging at them, with Gareth and Erza charging back. When the gap between the two parties closed in, Erza made the first move. With a swipe of her sword, the armored wizard launch several people back in the air. Seeing the opportunity, Gareth jumps into the air, grabs two of the launched people's faces, and lands into the crowd by slamming the two down hard; creating an impact that launches anyone close around him away.
Wanting to take advantage of this, the dark wizards left standing wasted no time in encircling Gareth.
Just as soon as they stood up, Gareth turn and grabbed the arm of the closest to his right, who had a chipped sword raised over their head, and flung them over his body and toward the one directly behind him. He then turn back straight and unleashed his sharp nails at a few who attempted to jump him, sending them back to the wall in front with clawed marks on their chests, while hitting a couple more on the way. The boy then releases a back kick, hitting the one closest behind him directly in the chest.
Gareth then notice two more, one on each side, rushing up to him. He immediately follows back by grabbing their heads, slamming them together, releases and then grabs their arms. With his upper arm strength, Gareth begins twirling the two bodies in the air while moving to his right, hitting everybody that was in his way. Then just as he nearing the right side of the room, Gareth released them, sending the motion-sick wizards into the now-smaller crowd around him.
While the boy was doing this, Erza continued slashing her way through the wizards focused on her, every now and then switching between a sword, an axe, and even a lance. She would swipe left and right, and up and down, sending many more into the air or skidding across the floor. When somebody did get too close though, Erza would go on to punch and kick her way through; that or dislodge any weapons the wizards might had on their own body before sending them back.
Back near the entrance, Lucy and Happy looked in awe at the sheer strength Erza and Gareth presented against the dark guild. For the latter, even though they witnessed it many times already, they were still nevertheless amazed once again by the power the boy unleashed during this fight. As for the former, Lucy was now able to recognize why Erza's name was well-respected; usually at this point Happy would explain to her what Erza's Magic was, but since the armored wizard already explained it them earlier there was no need.
Ultimately though, all the fighting that was going on gave the blond haired girl much needed confidence. With a boost in her step, she pulls out one of her golden keys, "I think it's time I join in! OPEN; GATE OF THE GREAT CRAB! CANCER!"
With a burst of her magic, Lucy summoned a man with tanned skin and black and red striped with crab claw pincers wearing a blue formal shirt, black trousers, a pair of brown boots, and a pair of green len sunglasses, with his hands both holding a pair of scissors each. A few within Eisenwald were taken back by the sudden entrance, even Erza and Gareth took a moment to look before focusing back on their ends.
"What do you want me to do with them, ebi?" Cancer address to his master.
"Take them out with style," Lucy ordered with a smirk on her lips.
And so Cancer did; with his speed, the celestial spirit was able to make quick work with several in front of him, clotheslining them while giving them bodacious haircuts in the process.
At this point, some of the members realized the stakes they were now in, and began firing off streams of their own magic. The Fairy Tail wizards noticed this immediately; Happy helped Lucy fly away, Cancer dodged and weaved, Gareth sidestepped and even took some of the magic directly to absorb, while Erza backflips away.
They're starting to get serious now, Erza thought once she landed, Need to end this quick.
Knowing what she needed to do, Erza unsummons her weapon. "REQUIP!" She then screams out, allowing her body to be basked in a white glow. In the process, she began floating in the air.
Gareth punched back a member when he noticed the beginning of Erza's transformation. Knowing from what she told him about her magic, he can assume that this was her ability to switch between armor sets.
Those there were some who saw this differently.
"Whoa, this woman is actually putting a show for us!" one of the members spoke out, as they and several others looked upon her figure from below with hearts in their eyes.
...ARE THEY STUPID!?, Gareth really didn't know what to make of this reaction, but whatever the reason why, it made the boy feel extremely disappointed in them. Though he also had to give Erza credit, as she was able to distract them.
It only took a few more moments for the glow around Erza to dim; revealing her in a silver colored armor with a feather shaped plating to her waist and neck guard, large detailed gauntlets, a chest plate that was seemingly chosen to be designed to expose much of her breasts, a tiara, and a large, long set of wings sprouting from her back.
This was her HEAVEN WHEEL'S ARMOR.
"Now," Erza began speaking, when a dozen swords were summoned behind her as well, floating in a circular motion, "Dance, my swords!" Then, with her newly summoned armor, flies over the remaining members of Eisenwald and unleashes her spell, "CIRCLE SWORD!"
The hovering swords sharply flew past the armored wizard, and once they did the swords magically separated into sets of mini swords. Most landed successfully on their targets; for the ones that did not, they set off into small explosions.
Gareth had to cover his face to counter the impact the spell had. Once it all died down, the boy uncovered himself and saw all the other members he did not attack down on the ground unconscious.
Well, all except one.
Just as Erza touched her feet on the ground, the sole remaining Eisenwald member, a rotund badly beaten man, looks at them all, with fear overcoming his eyes, "AHHH! This can't be happening!" They then made a run for it, entering the hallway on the left side of the room, "Screw this! I'm out of here!"
"...Coward," Gareth eventually muttered, as Erza reverted back to her normal Heart Kreuz Armor, "He will not get far."
Erza hummed at the boy's statement before turning back towards the others, "Great work on the fight, you two. Well done."
"Thanks, Erza," Lucy said with a bright smile, while Gareth nods back with his own smile in return.
"However, Lucy," Erza then began, as she took a glance at Cancer, who now stood next to said celestial wizard, "The way your spirit was calling you 'ebi' earlier is pretty insulting. You should have them find a better choice of words."
"I'll... get on to that soon," Lucy slowly replied, her motivation crumbling; her spirit however only scratched the back of his head before returning to the spirit world.
Even Gareth felt a bit affected by this, but he didn't show it, deciding to change topic, "What are the chances that man will talk to Erigor?"
"Very slim, but we can't risk it," Erza answered, before returning her gaze toward Lucy, "Lucy, Happy, go after him and stop him before he reaches his master."
"Al-Alright, we'll try," Lucy stuttered for a bit, before she and the cat head out after the man.
"What do you want me to do, Erza?" Gareth asked her.
However, before she could say, Erza suddenly began to feel lightheaded. The boy immediately sensed this and wrapped his arm on her shoulder. He then notice her flinch. "Sorry," he calmed her as he gently laid her down to her knees, "Started to notice you feeling weak. Are you okay?"
Erza looks at him for a moment, as he brings his arm back to his side, before sighing, "I'm okay. Gray was right though, I did overused my magic on the way here. Just need a minute to get my bearings, then I'll be good."
Gareth nods at her; he then looks to the side going into deep thought.
Erza noticed this, "You have something else to say?"
The boy looks back at her and nods again, "Yes. Believe Erigor is lying to us; do not think this is the place he will use Lullaby."
"...That is troubling. I hope Natsu and Gray are able to find him," Erza eventually says, grimly looking down at the cratered stone floor.
"Hope so too," Gareth agrees, before standing back up and lending his hand to her, "But as you said, we cannot risk it. There are still people outside. We will have to tell them to run."
Erza grabs his hand and is hoisted up, giving him a nod in return.
It didn't take long for Gareth and Erza to reach the roof of the train station outside; once they did, both of them notice that, while the pedestrians were still outside the building, the Rune Knights that were knocked out by the former earlier have appeared to be walking out as well, treating what was very likely to the duo the soldiers from inside.
Hmm, looks like when they notice their companions had fallen to Eisenwald, they decided to take care of them first. That and they may have left Eisenwald to us, since they likely heard our fight back then, Gareth thought before he turned back to Erza, who had now summoned a megaphone for her to speak through.
"ATTENTION! EVERYONE! THIS IS URGENT! IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIVES MORE THAN ANYTHING, THEN YOU NEED TO RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN! A DARK GUILD KNOWN AS EISENWALD HAVE TAKEN OVER THIS STATION AND ARE PLANNING TO USE A CURSE THAT WILL KILL US ALL! I BEG YOU ALL, FLEE NOW!" Erza screamed through the megaphone.
If there was anything else that could've alerted the crowd below, then this alerted them the most. The pedestrians immediately ran the other way, while the Rune Knights looked up at the two before they followed after the residents. It did take some time, but eventually they were all gone.
Erza and Gareth both sigh in relief. "Glad that's taken care of," the former said, unsummoning her megaphone.
The latter nods in agreement and proceeded to speak. However, before he could do so, the boy's instincts suddenly spiked. Gareth quickly looks around the area, but doesn't see anything; though he did get a sense of familiar Ethernano around him.
"Something is wrong," Gareth said in a worried tone.
Before Erza can question what, the duo suddenly felt the air quickly spin around the building; creating a strong tornado that made the two cover their faces at first.
They then heard a sinister laugh from the other side of the tornado, and when they uncovered themselves, they recognized the floating silhouette. "You two really had to ruin the fun," Erigor called out to them, "But why bother? They're already deadweight anyway!"
Gareth grits his teeth and screams, "KNEW IT!" The boy can now sense Erigor looking at him, "YOU WERE LYING TO US THIS WHOLE TIME! THIS PLACE WAS NEVER YOUR INTENTION! TELL US WHERE YOU ARE USING LULLABY NOW!"
Erigor frowns at the boy, not expecting someone to see his lie so quickly. But then, after a few silent moments, he slowly forms a grin, "You're smarter than you look, kid. I guess I can tell you, since you are now trapped here," Erigor paused for a bit, as he turn to his right, "Have you two heard of the ongoing event in Clover Town? I'm sure you do, because your master is there as well."
The two instantly widen their eyes in shock, recognizing the Reaper's true plan all along.
"YOU BASTARD!" Erza angrily screams, jumping toward the tornado, looking to strike Erigor. But the attempt proved futile, as once her fist touched the tornado, the girl was immediately sent back. Gareth fortunately catches her in time; wrapping his arms around her waist, as they both skid back.
"It's useless!" Erigor taunts them, "There's no way you two will be able to get through this force of nature. But enough of this talk; I have other plans to carry out. So long."
Offering them one last devilish smile, Erigor then flys to his right; following the train tracks ahead of him. The two Fairy Tail can only watch, as he eventually disappeared from their sight.
By now, Gareth had let go of Erza, but the boy was already cursing silently at himself for not figuring out earlier.
He then took a few moments to calm himself down, before looking back at the winded barrier surrounding the train station. It could work... no, too risky. Would likely destroy the building and hurt the others. There has to be another way!..., the boy goes into deep thought; even while under the intense situation he and his companions were in.
Then, he widen his eyes again, this time in realization, Wait a minute; that is it!
"Erza!" Gareth utters out, causing the woman to look at him, "Do you remember the member who was sent to retrieve Lullaby?"
Erza nods, before she immediately matched his expression, recognizing what he was thinking. She looks at the tornado for a brief moment, "If he can dispel the seal on Lullaby, then for sure he can dispel this as well!"
"Do remember him going after Natsu. Perhaps the two are still fighting," Gareth recommended.
"Then we better hurry and find them and the others. Time is really not on our side right now!" Erza agreed, before the two began running back inside the building.
While they did so, Gareth couldn't help but wonder why Erigor would go to such lengths to commit this atrocity. The boy really didn't know anything about the man, but if there was one thing, it was this...
He lost his mind.
And that is it for Chapter Seven! Originally, I was planning on ending the Lullaby arc here, but after reaching the point where I am now, I feel like it would've taken me another week to complete.
It has been a long while since I last did some action too. So I hope what you read today didn't feel rusty on my end.
Anyway, that's it for me today. Next chapter will be the explosive finale to this arc! I hope you all have a wonderful day, night, or wherever you are, and I'll see you all next time.
See ya later, everyone! And Happy Independence Day, America!
