L: Language, lost

4 times the Guardians didn't notice Jack was speaking different languages and the one time they did.

ONE

Jack was flying around Russia as he so often does, spreading snow and fun and sometimes, stopping to play with the kids. It has been many years since Jack has become a Guardian and he had hundreds of believers now.
There still weren't as many as the other Guardians, but he had enough. He landed in a large Russian town where he knew he had some believers to play and talk with them for a little bit and discover what they wanted for Christmas so he could make sure North knew what these kids wanted even though it was still a few months away. But it never hurt to be prepared.
While he was playing around, he saw North's sleigh in the sky and called up to him. North came down and landed his sleigh in alley.
Once he was grounded, North wandered over to Jack and the children and asked the children what they might want for Christmas. Naturally, North asked them in Russian since they were in Russia. He didn't notice that Jack was having a conversation of his own in Russian with some of the other children who already had their turn with North.

TWO

Jack was flying around the northern part of Canada near where the Inuits live. He enjoyed hanging around in this part of the world. The Inuits believed in spirits and this included nature spirits. It was a different type of spirits of course to what he was, but he liked to pretend.

However, now that people were believing him, this has spread to the Inuit children. They believed in their spirits and him as well.
He was fascinated by the Inuit culture and how they were able to hold their own against the Canadian government to keep their culture alive. During this time of fascination, he learned their language and he was glad he did so that now he can speak and play with them.
While he was playing with them, Bunny came to pick him up for the meeting that was supposed to be happening at North's right now, but naturally, Jack forgot about it and was late. They left together down one of Bunny's tunnels after he quickly said goodbye, but Bunny didn't notice that it was not English he was speaking since he was so impatient.

THREE

Jack was flying around China giving the land a bit of snow. He landed in a small town and simply sat on a bench in a neighborhood park to relax and unwind and maybe get a short nap in when he noticed Tooth fly by.
Jack yelled her name to get her attention but he did not notice he yelled it in Chinese. He yelled again but this time in English. This is what caught Tooth's attention and she never noticed that he spoke or really yelled the other language.
They had a short conversation before Tooth had to get back to work.

FOUR

Jack was laying on his frozen pond talking to himself when Sandy slowly came into view. Jack waved without ending his monologue and Sandy waved back but did not notice that Jack was speaking Norwegian at the time. Sandy continued on his way and Jack soon stopped talking and went to sleep. Sandy's dream sand probably helped with that.

PLUS ONE

Jack was sitting in the center of a blizzard in the heart of Antarctica. He was yelling, screaming and crying. Jack has been a guardian for many, many years now and he could have never imagine his life being better.
Until now. Jamie has grown up, went to college, got married, and had kids. Jamie grew to be a joyful old man. He even played Santa Claus the kids in his community since he was able to grow a white beard. North got a kick out of it.
Jamie told the stories of the guardians and the belief in Jack grew and while he still doesn't have as many believers as Tooth or North, he can easily find believers in all the major towns.
However, today was the worst day of Jack's life. His first believer, Jamie Bennett, has passed away. Jack knew this day was coming and he was dreading yet. Jack thought he was ready but then he heard from Sophie and he knew as soon as the word's left her mouth, he was not ready. He was never ready and he never would be.
The Guardian of Fun flew away to Antarctica immediately and he hasn't left since. He has lost track of time. It could have been days or weeks or maybe only hours. He doesn't know. All he knows is that it was the worst news he has ever heard.
North had activated the Northern Lights and the other guardians came to the Pole. "Eh, North. What's up with the lights? Is Pitch back or…" Bunny asked.
"No, but I haven't seen Jack in a while. Last I heard from him was that he was going to Burgess but I haven't seen him since." North answered.
Tooth responded, "Oh no. We should split up and look for him. Two people should go to Burgess and check around his pond and the other two should probably check Antarctica. It is not uncommon for Jack to go there when he is upset." Sandy nodded in agreement.
"Okay, Tooth, you and I will go to Burgess and Bunny and Sandy will go to Antarctica. Let's move out. Oh, and don't forget to call on our cells if you find him so we can all be there."
Tooth and North headed to the sleigh while Bunny and Sandy took the tunnels. North and Tooth started near the Jack's lake and moved out. They found Sophie in her house and they asked her. They found out Jamie has passed away and they realized what state Jack would be in when they find him. They also now knew where he was. They immediately began to fly to the statue that was accidently made by Jack and Pitch.
Bunny and Sandy were already near there and they saw how big the storm was and they instantly knew he was here. They began trudging through the snow and wind working their way towards the center where they knew Jack would be. Before they got to Jack, Tooth and North had caught up to them and they were all trudging through the snow together as a group. As they got closer, they could hear the screaming but they didn't recognize it immediately. That was when they realized it wasn't English. It was a ton of different languages mixed together with very little English mixed in.
Soon they were in the center of the storm and they saw Jack beating his fists against the statue and they all felt their hearts break just a little bit. They saw the damage of his hands and Tooth quickly flew over to him and stopped his hands just before they hit the statue again.
Jack looked at her and he simply fell down. Tooth knelt down next to him and hugged him close to her. The others came by and they formed a group hug while Jack cried in their arms.
It took a while but eventually he fell asleep and Bunny carried him to North's sleigh. They all climbed in and North quickly went back to the Pole and placed him in his room. They wrapped up his hands and Sandy sprinkled dream sand so he could have a peaceful sleep.
The remaining four gathered in the globe room and began talking. Tooth told Bunny and Sandy what they heard from Sophie and they suddenly understood. Then they asked if any of them knew he could speak any other languages and none of them knew. They decided to ask him when he woke up and felt better.
The next morning, Jack woke up and he remembered what happened yesterday. He held back the tears, not wanting to cry right now. He slowly got out of bed and went to the kitchen for breakfast. When he got there all the other guardians were there. He got himself a french toast bagel and a strawberry smoothie and sat down. The guardians waited for him to get a bit more woke up before Bunny asked, "How many languages can you speak, mate?"
"Oh. Uh..."Jack counted on his fingers, "15 or so."
They all were surprised by how many languages he was actually able to speak.
"Yeah, I had 300 years of nothing so I used it to my advantage by learning what I could and this included languages. I also know a fair bit about science and obviously history."
"Oh, Jack. Speaking of which, how are you feeling?" Tooth asked.
"I'm sad but I'll be fine. It is to be expected. I just overreacted. I usually do. Thanks." With those final words, he finished his breakfast and went back to his room.

It was hard to write this chapter because I had so many ideas and not the correct words or ways to write them down. But here is this. It's not the best but it could be worst and its something.
