This is the second update of the day. If you haven't read M yet, go back a chapter and come back to this one.

N: night nocturnal, nobody

Deep in a forest, there is a frozen lake but sitting on the frozen lake is a pale boy with snow white hair. His knees are up to his chin with his arms wrapped around his legs. It is nighttime and he is wide awake.

Suddenly, he stands up and grabs a shepherd's crook. He flies into the sky. He waves his stick and snow begins to fall lightly. He goes back to the lake and resumes sitting in the same position.

He watches the snow fall and he draws in the frost on the ice. The sun begins to rise. The boy notices and he walks toward a clump of trees on the side of the lake. He piles some snow into a lump and he lays down, with his head on the lump. He falls asleep. He doesn't wake until the sun sets.

When he does wake, he checks on the snow and determines that this place doesn't need anymore. He flies for a few hours until he finds a place that does. The snow here is heavier and there is a lot more wind but it is necessary. It's what it needs. He stays in the area for a little bit, making sure the snow does what it was told..

Satisfied, he goes back to his lake. He arrives just in time for the sunrise. He goes back to sleep. This routine continues for years. He makes it snow during the night and sleeps during the day. While he is flying, he often sees golden strings of sand. He always gets close to it but does not want to touch it. He doesn't want to interfere. But he will watch it for hours. Sometimes he follows the sand but other times he stays in the same place. He does not know it's purpose.

One night while he is flying, he sees a man in a sleigh pulled by reindeer. Curious, the boy follows the sleigh. The sleigh stops on the roof of a house and the man gets out with a bag in hand and he jumps down a chimney. He gets close to the chimney to look down it but he doesn't see how the man could have possibly fit. He hears a noise and he quickly goes back to his original spot and he sees the man float out of the chimney. The boy doesn't understand how the man did it but he shouldn't be one to question seeing as he can make it snow.

Many times, he sees tiny colorful beings flying around. He watches one and sees it go into a room. He looks through the window and watches the creature pull a tooth out from underneath the pillow and tuck it into their belt. The creature then leaves a coin under the pillow. The boy does not understand this either.

Then, one night, when he is getting ready to go south, he sees a giant bunny with a basket full of something colorful. The boy later realizes that they were painted eggs. The bunny was hiding them. The boy did not know why the eggs had been painted nor why they were being hidden but they were pretty to look at. The boy continued to see these occurrences throughout his various years but they never noticed him. He kept hidden. He did not know why.

One day, he was flying very far up north when he saw a building. Curious, he flew closer to get a better look. He hasn't seen anything this far before. He found a window and peeked through it. Inside, he saw big tall creatures standing around and they all appeared to be working. He also saw very short creatures who appeared to just be bothering the. big creatures. The boy flew around until he found an open window. He crawled through it and wandered around looking at all the things he saw. As he walked, none of the creatures noticed him or gave him any attention. Not to mention that many of these creatures were working at night which was highly unusual. Very few people or animals were awake during the night like he was. Eventually, he got tired and went back to his lake to sleep. He knew the sun would be rising soon and it did indeed rise right as he got settled and fell asleep. He continued to visit this place and watched what happened. Some nights nothing was happening and others the place was crazy busy.

As the years went on, the boy never talked to anyone and no one ever talked to him. When he was close to people, they never noticed him, even if he clapped his hands really loudly. Sometimes this made the boy feel sad and lonely but he recovered quickly. He was happy. He had his snow, ice, frost, and he could watch the people to his heart's content without having to worry about him bothering them. Time went on and he was happy.
