S: skeletal, stealing, sick
Jack is hanging out in the warren with Bunny. Bunny is painting eggs and Jack is freezing them when he thinks Bunny isn't looking. (He totally saw it all but let it pass.) Then Bunny says, "Hey Jack. North is hosting a big ol' feast on the 26th of December to celebrate the end of Christmas and what not and as an early new year's celebration. He kind of expects all the guardians to come."
"Yeah okay. I can probably be there. I don't think anywhere will need my help with snow that day so i should be able to make it."
"Good. I'll let North know."
Soon, Jack gets bored and flies away to do his winterly duties. Before he knows it, it is the 26th and time to feast. He arrives in the usual meeting room and nobody is there. He wanders around looking for them when he finds them all gathered in a large room. In the room, there is a huge table and it is absolutely covered in food. Jack can barely see the table underneath all the food. The other guardians see him enter and he hears North say, "Ah Jack. you are here. Now we may begin. Everyone take your seats."
Jack sits down in his chair. Despite the table being so large, they all sit next to each other. Jack thinks it could have been presented in a more efficient manner but he's not complaining. He gets food!
They begin serving themselves and soon Jack's plate is piled high with food. There is so much. He got fried chicken, ham, mashed potatoes, turkey, stuffing, cookies, salad, and even brussel sprouts. He begins eating. Soon, the plate is empty and he is grabbing more food. He quickly eats that as well. He begins to grab more food when his stomach begins to feel upset.
He excuses himself and goes to the bathroom. Just as he reaches the bathroom,, he begins heaving and barely makes it to the toilet in time. Everything he just ate comes back up. He finishes throwing up and flushes the toilet. Forming a cup out of his hands, he drinks some water and swishes it around his mouth as well. He splashes some water on his face and there is little evidence of what just occurred. He goes back to the table and continues eating. None of the guardians noticed his prolonged absence and didn't question it. They continue to eat at a normal pace in comparison to Jack. Soon, Jack's stomach is feeling upset again and he gets up to go to the bathroom again. But this time, they notice. Or, more specifically, Sandy notices.
Sandy gets up as well and follows him to the bathroom. When Sandy reaches the bathroom, the door is already closed, but he can hear the sound of Jack throwing up on the other side.. Sandy quickly considers whether he should knock first or simply enter without waiting for permission. He hears Jack throw up again and decides to enter. He opens the door and sees Jack leaning over the toilet bowl. The sandman goes over to him and rubs his hand in circles on Jack's back to hopefully help him feel better and let him know he is not alone. Shortly after Sandy entered, Jack finishes and scoots back towards the wall. Sandy grabs a paper cup and fills it with water for Jack to sip. Then, Sandy finds a washcloth and gets it wet with warm water for Jack to wash his face with. Sandy sits beside Jack simply to remind him he is not alone. Jack uses the washcloth to wash his face and drinks the water given to him. Once he finishes the water, he pulls his hood up, brings his legs up so he can wrap his arms around them, and places his head in his knees.
After an unmeasurable amount of time, Jack says, "I don't get to eat much. Being the spirit of winter does not leave much options for food. Any possible plants aren't very good, and I can't exactly cook. The fire would be too hot for me. So I have to forage from towns and cities. But I don't steal. In the early years, I went hungry a lot. People didn't throw food away. They used it all. Sometimes I was able to sneak something. But it was rare. Then grocery stores and other big businesses started opening, and it made it easier. The stores are incredibly wasteful, but it gave me food, so I wasn't about to complain. Not like there was anyone I could complain to. It was always just me."
Jack looked towards Sandy after finishing talking, expecting him to have something to say. Sandy responded with pictures of food, a house and his images for the guardians. Jack asked, "Food will always be available to you at our homes?" Sandy nodded vigorously and the word 'Always' appeared above his head.
"Thanks Sandy. I'll try to keep that in mind next time I'm hungry."
Then, Jack stood up, his hood falling off, and he went back to the table. Sandy was quick to follow. The food was no longer on the table, and a large stack of board games were out.
"Jack! Sandy! You two were gone for awhile. We figured you were done eating. Choose a game. We will vote on which one to play." North said. Jack chose Monopoly and Sandy agreed so that is what they played. Bunny groaned at the choice but accepted his fate. No one mentioned what occurred that night, but they always had food out when Jack came to visit, and he was grateful for it.
A/N: Hey everyone! I'm finally posting S! It's been a long time. I've been insanely busy. I have a job now and still go to school and those both are taking up almost all of my time. I barely find time to myself or to even visit my parents. But I am managing. I'm doing my math/science practicum and I am loving it. I'm in 1st grade and they are so cute. Also, I probably never mentioned, but I am going to school to be an elementary teacher. It is a lot of work but it is so rewarding to work with these kids. I have one more year left before I am a full blown teacher. Woo!
Anyway, T is written. It just needs to be edited by my sister but she is just as busy as I am so if it doesn't get posted anytime soon, you can balme her. She's at fault for this being posted now instead of ages ago. In terms of how much I have left to write, I am on Z. So not a lot. They just need to be edited and posted and then it is good to go. I'll try to get her to edit it in a timely manner but it is hard to do so.
Anyway, this was edited by my sister and I hope you enjoyed reading. Don't forget to review! It encourages and reminds me about this.
