The girls landed in Vegas a little after lunch on Friday. The flight was pleasant but getting on it had been a hassle. As Sarah exited the plane with her purse and small carry-on suitcase, she waited for the others by the gate.
Laura was the first to find her. She had a medium-sized canvas bag on her shoulder, a small carry-on suitcase, and a fanny pack around her waist. "The others were right behind me."
Sarah nodded and they only waited a few minutes before everyone was gathered together. Dani had her Louis Vuittonsuitcase and Chanel purse. The other Sarah, who was the one paying for their trip, only brought a small duffle bag and her purse. Soon they were joined by the bride-to-be, Christy, with her duffle bag and backpack-style purse. Finally Heidi, with her large shoulder purse and, almost too large to be carry-on, makeup kit on wheels joined the group.
"Great, we're all here. Let's hurry to baggage claim. " Christy said as she headed that way.
"What's the hurry?" Laura asked as Christy, Dani, and Heidi started for the baggage pickup area.
"If we don't hurry there won't be any luggage carts to use," Dani called over her shoulder as she pulled her fancy suitcase behind her.
Sighing, Sarah and the others followed. Once all the luggage was gathered it filled two luggage carts and that didn't include the purses.
"Did you girls really need this much luggage for a weekend?" Laura asked while eyeing Heidi and Christy.
"Of course," Heidi replied. "I have to have the appropriate outfit for each occasion and matching accessories and makeup."
"Glitter is never an appropriate accessory." The other Sarah stated.
"Glitter goes with everything," Heidi stated.
"Including alcohol?" Sarah teased.
"Especially alcohol." Heidi grinned.
"Well I just hope your glitter collection is worth all the hassle you went through at the airport," Dani commented. "I thought we'd have to leave without you."
"What hassle?" Heidi asked innocently.
"Heidi they searched all your bags and frisked you," Sarah answered worried that her friend didn't remember what happened.
"Oh, that?" Heidi waved it off. "That wasn't a hassle. That was the most action I've had in years."
All 6 girls laughed and made their way to the taxi/shuttle bus area. Luckily, a bus had already been reserved and was waiting for them. Once they loaded all the luggage they headed for their hotel, Paris Las Vegas.
As they pulled up Sarah's eyes widened as she saw the mini Eiffel Tower. "Who would have thought you could see the world just by going to Vegas."
The other Sarah chuckled, "oh Williams, just wait until our tour tomorrow."
Once they checked in they all went to their rooms to freshen up. They were supposed to meet for an early dinner then explore the casinos.
Before coming to Vegas her dad and friends had given her tips on gambling at a big casino. "Never bet everything," Robert Williams had told his daughter. "Always make sure you have money to get home."
"If you're winning cash in at a few hundred dollars" her friend Olivia cautioned her. "If you win too much they think you're cheating, even if you're not. Cash in and try a new game or another casino."
"Make sure you try the food," her friend Cat had suggested. "There are some really great restaurants there "
Sarah took a quick shower and changed into a pale green dress with a floral design. It had spaghetti straps, a boned, form-fitting top, made almost like a corset, and a hi-low skirt. She slipped on a pair of white sandals and grabbed her small silver purse.
She met the others in the Lobby and together they headed for the Eiffel Tower restaurant for a late lunch. Once they were seated Heidi immediately ordered a high-priced, fancy, mixed drink.
"Here we go," Dani mumbled. "Heidi will be the first one tipsy."
"I'll keep an eye on her tonight," Sarah smiled as she ordered a virgin pina colada.
"I can hold my alcohol, thank you very much," Heidi stated in a superior tone.
"Yea, we know," Christy smirked, "but the alcohol tends to take a hold on you and that leads to bad things."
Heidi turned her head. " I don't know what you're talking about."
"Oh really?" Christy questioned.
"So that wasn't you outside the French embassy, shouting the lyrics to Frère Jacques in a horrible French accent?" Laura inquired.
"I don't know French," Heidi argued.
"Apparently you do when you're drunk." Dani chuckled.
They all enjoyed their meals, drinks, and a few laughs before making their way to the closest casino.
