10.5 - Controlled Chaos

The creature hanging out inside of Ayala's car was a bit larger than Sun's sensors had flagged it as being. He could not quite tell what sort of an animal it was. A strange fluffy gray thing with a long striped tail and black markings on his face. Given his limited knowledge of the world, wild animals in particular, he struggled to try and find some means of describing it.

He knew what squirrels were supposed to look like. This creature sort of looked like a squirrel - though its face seemed a bit stretched out.

At the same time, the animal also reminded him of a cat or a dog.

"What... Exactly is that thing?" Sun inquired, failing to properly process what he was seeing. Failing to piece together what manner of beast he was looking at.

Not a squirrel.

Not a cat.

Not a dog.

Something that contained traits of all three while obviously not being any of those things.

The woman offered an annoyed sigh as she observed the carnage which had become her vehicle.

"A raccoon." Ayala replied, a sort of tired and bitter tone present in her voice. She was rightly annoyed. Her house had been left vulnerable all night and something had gotten inside - though she easily returned the bat to the outdoors.

Now she came outside to discover that she had failed to close her car door the night before, and that the wildlife had decided to try and make a nest of the material found inside.

A lot of damage had been done. To her body and to her belongings. All because a certain animatronic jumped straight to attempted murder out of fear.

"Oh. Raccoon... I've heard of them." Sun stated in turn, leaning in a bit closer to the car to have a better look at the animal in question. Now that he was having a good look at it, the raccoon also had some traits that were flagged as rodent. What a strange animal it was. Strange and weirdly cute.
"Are they dangerous?" He inquired, genuinely curious. While he had heard about raccoons, he had only ever heard of them as pets. Workers had sometimes complained about them getting into trash or finding some means of breaking into the ceiling. He had just never actually seen a raccoon until now.

"Yes. Incredibly so." Ayala uttered, taking a visible step back as the raccoon abruptly scurried towards them.

The animatronic did not mirror her response, as the animal in question could not possibly be a threat to him.

The raccoon did not attempt to leave the car, but had only moved closer to them. It now stood upon its hind legs, holding its front paws out as if to try and grasp at them.

Given that Ayala was very clearly uneasy around the animal, and that she had just explained that it was dangerous, Sun responded in turn by setting out to fix the situation. Seeing as the raccoon was not at all intimidated by him, the animatronic simply reached into the car to take hold of the little creature.

Admittedly, the noise that it made in response did startle him, but he could also tell that he wasn't actively hurting it. Still, it began to squirm rather violently in his grip. This led to something of a short struggle in which Sun had to figure out how to pick up the raccoon without harming it and without risk of it escaping. He eventually discovered the patch of loose fur and skin on the back of its neck, allowing him to scruff it.

At which point he proceeded to remove the raccoon from the car so that he could calmly carry it to the edge of the property, where he carefully put the animal down. The raccoon scurried off into the surrounding wilderness immediately, and Sun responded in turn by returning to the car.

"The raccoon problem has been dealt with~" Sun stated chipperly, smiling to the smaller woman, who had simply stood aside with a somewhat stunned expression as she watched that whole scene unfold. She evidently had not expected the animatronic to just pick up and relocate what was very much a dangerous wild animal.
"Now. You said that you needed to get some... Luggage? Out of the... Trunk?" He then uttered, though his statement came out more as a question. He knew what a car was. He was unfamiliar with the concept of things such as "Luggage" or a "Trunk". Namely because such information would have been specifically denied to he and the other animatronics due to a lack of need for it. Intentional ignorance, so to speak. AI often were not given access to information which would be unnecessary to their intended purpose.

"Er... Yeah. One sec." Ayala replied, seemingly having opted to not make any sort of comment pertaining to the whole scene with the raccoon. Instead, she pulled open the front door of her car in order to press a button inside. An audible click sounded from the vehicle, which admittedly startled Sun somewhat.
"There. The trunk should be open now." She stated, getting out of her car and shutting the door. She also shut the back door - after taking a final glance to really let the damage to the back seat sink in. A reserved irritation. That was the energy she now gave off.

Sun, meanwhile, only continued to awkwardly stand near the car. He did not know where the trunk was. Or what it was. Apparently it was meant to be open now.

Ayala seemingly took notice of his confusion, and as such walked around to the back of the car so that she could properly open the trunk. Once that was done, Sun quickly made his way over so that he could examine the contents. There were two large plastic containers inside. They had handles and wheels on them. Those must have been what "Luggage" was.

"They shouldn't be too heavy. Just bring them into the kitchen for now." Ayala requested, standing at the side of the trunk while Sun began to pick up the luggage.

"Can do~!" Sun replied, smiling rather contently as he easily lifted the two large pieces of luggage. He liked to be helpful, so he was in a rather good mood at the moment.

Moon, on the other hand, proved grumpy as ever. Or at least his expression implied as much. He had not left the house, but simply watched the controlled chaos as it played out outside. He slunk back into the house as Sun approached. Mostly to get out of the way, given the size of the plastic objects that they were carrying.

Ayala closed the trunk before following after the animatronic. She made sure the trunk was shut tight so as to avoid any additional damage to her vehicle.

Sun did as he had been told. He brought the luggage into the kitchen and set everything down.

Ayala shut and took the time to properly lock the door upon coming back inside. Once inside, Ayala went straight for her luggage - aka suitcases - and proceeded to open them both in order to rummage through the contents.

After having slept inside her musty house, in a bed that was not clean, while in clothes that realistically also were not clean, she rightly wanted to shower and change.

All of the other issues in her life could wait.

She felt dirty.

Sun and Moon, meanwhile, observed her behavior with varying degrees of curiosity. Both were at least somewhat interested in what exactly the luggage was used for. The conclusion that had been drawn so far was "portable closet space", which wasn't entirely inaccurate. Sun in particular was also curious as to how the suitcases worked. A lot of new things were encountered today. A lot of new things were going to be quickly stored in long term memory. So he would need to enter a sleep state, just to be safe.

Having picked out some suitable clothes, Ayala lazily closed her suitcases. Balancing her clothing on the arm that wasn't killing her, she looked to the animatronics with an admittedly tired expression. She wasn't physically tired - not really. This was more of an emotional exhaustion.

"I am going to take a shower. Please keep out of trouble while I'm gone." Ayala requested. She took a moment to retrieve her thankfully unharmed cellphone from the kitchen counter, before starting past the animatronics.

She gave Moon a bit of a wide berth as she walked past him, not wanting to risk being within arms reach of him in the event that he abruptly changed his mind about their little arrangement.
