Maggie tapped her pencil impatiently against the edge of the page she was meant to be reading so she could finally finish up her history essay, but her eyes kept straying to the silent phone sitting unmoving on the consul between the seats. It was alright though Professor Landry was nice about giving an extra day on these kinds of things.

It should be a good sign right; Clarke hadn't texted their agreed to 'Tacos are testy' phrase meaning she hadn't been found out, but the anxiety still chewed at Maggie's insides the longer the minutes dragged on since she'd forced herself to pull out of the school parking lot only to park on the adjoining one with a decent view of the back door to the school gym whilst still keeps relative cover so it wouldn't be so glaringly obvious she was attempting to spy on the only other car parked in the school's side lot once the rest of said lot slowly emptied out after the last bell.

She still hadn't seen how Clarke's supposed 'artists invisibility cloak' would actually work considering it was just a carefully painted sheet made to mimic the locker room floor, but Clarke had sworn by it "Only for a total emergency, Sawyer nothing creepy" she remembers her newest gained friend scoffing as they'd discussed their final preparations over lunch that same day. "and will you stop pouting already we did an even two out of three tosses and you lost so you get to be 'getaway driver' just think of this like practice for a stake in or whatever you local cops call surveillance stuff."

The sudden opening of the car's passenger door makes her start in surprise until she notices Clarke's messy mane of blonde and red-tipped hair ducking down as the artist slides into the space and then quickly shuts the door behind herself.

"They almost caught me." Clarke confesses once she'd regained enough of her breath for coherent speech. "Thankfully now we know the AIC theory worked."

"Tell me you already got rid of it," Maggie sighed rolling her eyes at the tag Raven had thought to use for the painted tarp it seemed Clarke had actually needed after all.

"Yes, grumpy pants I got rid of it, lucky for me that shortcut you found also cuts through the art hallway, so I tossed it in the kiln on my way out." Clarke calmed taking another gulped sip of the sports drink Maggie offered her.

"So?" Maggie prompts after allowing the artist only a few more swallowed drinks before demanding she talks again.

"So, what?" Clarke wonders making a quick check of her watch as she spoke. Her eyes like Maggie's split focus between the fellow conspirator beside her and the back door to their shared high school that any moment now their respective crushes and said crush's sisters would be spilling out to head towards the group's shared car.

Maggie's jaw ticks in annoyance at the obvious stall in her questioning. "Come on Griffin don't make me beg."

Clarke's lip curled into a sly smile at the sighed answer. "How would poor Alex feel if she heard you saying that?"

"Did she like it or not?" Maggie pushed

"See for yourself, Sawyer," Clarke suggested gesturing with her chin toward the opening back door.

How the four-person group hadn't spotted them as they spilled out into the emptied lot when theirs was virtually the only other car parked close enough to notice was a genuine mystery to Maggie's frazzled mind as her head whipped back around at the suggestion.

"Kara, I swear if you don't give it back…." Alex was flat out demanding making another attempted grabbing for the flash of brown and red her younger sister seemed to be just as determined to keep out of her reach.

"But its just so soft Alex." Kara gushes "How can someone be so thoughtful to buy you and Lexa something this soft and not want you to know who they are?"

"Who said whoever it was, was the same person?" Anya jumps in her tone more thoughtful as she considers this earning a grateful smile from her own younger sister in thanks.

"Give it back." Alex barked in that out-of-breath tone that had Maggie's heart flipping to hear however dimly in the separating space between the parking lots.

"I will if you and Lex agree to be anonymous sources for my Valentine's article." Kara bargained still playing keep away.

"Didn't you just tell Professor Lane you have an interview with Sawyer tomorrow morning for the more anti-Valentines side of things?" Anya reminds earning a hurt "Seriously, Anya." From Maggie at the latest flash of 'kicked puppy' heartbreak on Alex's face at the words.

"Yeah, but some on Ayn, I beat even Sawyer can't be that anti-Valentines." Kara pouts "didn't you hear what Winn said about seeing her hanging around the 'hearts and flowers' section of the store a few days ago?"

Maggie's heart warmed at the now hopeful look coloring her crush's expression at the news. "You've kept that quiet Kar."

"I only found out about it today, Alex how could I have told you about it when I didn't even know it happened?" Kar reminded

"Speaking of Sawyer isn't that her car over there?" Lexa notices making Maggie and Clarke quickly scrunch down in their seats to keep from being caught obviously spying this time and silently preying none of the now roused fellow teens come to investigate.

"Only until she can save up enough to buy that Triumph old man Gordan is trying to sell." Alex was already clarifying "But it's Thursday, why would she still be here when normally she has shadow work at the station on Thursdays?"

"Careful Danvers your stalker's crush is showing." Anya teases followed by the blunt groan of the car's locks finally being unlocked.

"Told'yah." Clarke teased giving a shocked Maggie's shoulder a playful shove at the words.

"I'm not stalking her; she's just told me about it a few times during class." Alex clarified only deepening an eavesdropping Maggie's shocked blush to hear.

"Quick recap so everyone is caught up alright, Alex and Lexa got some adorable plushies from persons unknown yet they do have theories however farfetched considering the massive unacted on crushes they carry for these two individuals, Anya and Raven are still dancing around their own attractions for one another but at least they have mutually acknowledged they more than like each other so it's farther along in any chances of romantic entanglement that either of our sisters and I lowly ace junior school paper worker Kara Danvers am attempting fluffy gifted kidnapping in order to get my big sister to help me on my latest article for the school newsletter." Kara interrupts hardly pausing to breath let alone give any of the others in her group time to speak up as she spoke from her huddled place in the car's backseat. "alright everyone caught up?" she probed "good now can we please go get something to eat?"

At this Maggie and Clarke laugh so loudly that they were almost sure the shocked three standing close to the other car had heard their joint laughter before each slowly shook themselves out of their daze and joined a grumpy Kara in the hand me downed yet still sleek looking sports car Lexa had gotten on her last birthday.

Alex for once allowed behind the wheel as the car was quickly reversed out of the parking spot

"Follow them," Clarke insisted firing off a few hasty texts as the car carrying Lexa turned out of the school lot and onto one of the main roadways. "If they head where I think we can keep cover with a last-minute study session with Lena so it's not so weird you and I are talking."

"Yeah, because that would be so far out of our respective clicks already." Maggie chuckles already shifting her own car into drive "Other than the fact all three of us are crushing on oh I don't know Alex Danvers, Kara Danvers, and Lexa Woods respectively a trio who are almost always together in their own respective click and aside from the face you, me and Lena all have parental issues at home."

"Yeah, yeah now isn't the time for you to be a brat Sawyer, just don't lose them."

"And how is it Lexa hasn't realized you're massively crushing on her again?" the Latina jokes "Seriously and I thought I had it bad." She sighed rubbing it in only a little.

"Less teasing more following." Clarke waves off still attempting to keep the 'Lexa car' in sight.
