When we last left our heroes, they were in danger of being attacked by tripods.
Can they destroy them?
Dr. Drakken isn't with them this time. He's at his evil lair of doom.
Though it would probably be a good idea to enlist his help if they can manage to get back to Earth.
After all, he helped defeat the Lorwardians the last time.
Perhaps he could come in handy for taking down the Lorwardians this time as well.
Chapter 69: Returning to Earth
Inside the dungeon, Phineas, Ferb, and Candace discovered Team Impossible.
"Is that Team Impossible? What were the chances?" asked the energetic girl.
They too had been captured by the Doctor.
The three of them could have probably come up with an escape plan, but they were demoralized after such a crushing defeat.
Who would have thought their foes had such power?
They hadn't expected their rescue mission to be so complicated.
"I was wondering why you didn't return." noted the boy.
It wasn't like them to quit a mission halfway through and go back to their lair.
"You've got to be careful. That Doctor is super strong." warned Dash. She might very well be stronger than Kim Possible herself, which was saying a lot.
"She has the power to shoot energy beams from her hands!" warned Burn.
That had certainly caught them by surprise.
Not even they had been able to beat her. Even though they had wiped the floor with Dr. Drakken and his minions.
Though it also helped that she had two Lorwardians at her side. They remembered well the havoc that they had caused on Earth.
Who would have thought that she would be able to enlist their assistance? They were probably the biggest threat that the Earth had ever faced.
Ferb unlocked their cell.
"I have to admit, I wasn't expecting to be rescued by a bunch of kids." noted Crash. Normally he expected to be the one helping children.
"Well, people do say that we do things that we aren't expected to at our age." explained Phineas.
It made people wonder what they would accomplish as adults. Perhaps they would be like James Possible. His Hephaestus Project had made him famous.
They had tried going into the future, but they had ended up creating a dystopia by accident. Future Candace thought it was a good idea to bust the boys, but she thought wrong. Perry had ended up being hit by an aluminum ball.
Phineas and Ferb had been very surprised to discover that their pet had been seriously injured.
"Where did Phineas and Ferb go?" asked Isabella.
"They went to search for their sister." explained Kim.
Fortunately, it seemed they had rescued both Candace and Ron.
And they had brought Team Impossible with them.
"You think we can take down the tripods?" asked Phineas.
They had Team Impossible at their side, but these machines were no laughing matter.
"Well, I do have superhuman strength." noted Kim. It would make Hego proud of her.
Perhaps she could topple them.
However, the fact that there were several of them complicated matters.
Fortunately, Meap's energy beams could harm the tripods.
It was impressive what he was capable of.
However, he had to be careful that none of the tripods stepped on him.
They were awfully big, after all.
Even Tougho wasn't as large as they were.
Likewise, Kim Possible's super strength was enough to topple the tripods.
One of them gave her a note.
"Huh?" asked the cheerleader.
The note read "If you can't take down these tripods, you don't stand a chance against us!"
"They're probably right." nodded Kim.
The Lorwardians had defeated Ron, after all.
And he had the mystical monkey power.
He used his power and took down two of the tripods.
"Good work!" exclaimed Kim.
Ron smiled.
Perhaps he could use these tripods to practice his power.
It might help him in a potential rematch against the Lorwardians.
Team Impossible were of course fighting the tripods as well.
"These tin cans are no match for us!" exclaimed Dash.
"Don't forget, you did lose to the Doctor." reminded Phineas.
"It would probably be best if we didn't get too cocky." admitted Burn.
Otherwise, they would only lose again.
Still, they seemed to have grown stronger after losing.
Perhaps learning some humility had given them strength.
Of course, they had already been defeated once before by Kim Possible, basically.
Inside the Doctor's ship, someone had some bad news.
"The prisoners have escaped!" exclaimed a member of the royal guard.
His name is Shoe Monkey.
And yes, Super Super Big Doctor's race's names were unusual by human standards.
"It's alright, we have enough carbon dioxide." assured the Doctor.
The prisoners were no longer needed.
Though it might have been a good idea to drain the carbon dioxide from Team Impossible.
They had kind of slipped her mind. Though it did feel good taking down three of Earth's finest warriors.
"Is there anything we can do to help?" asked Baljeet.
"You can try to short-circuit the tripods." noted Phineas.
Luckily, they had brought squirt guns and the like.
"You sure are prepared for everything, aren't you?" asked Kim.
"Yes. Yes, we are." nodded the boy.
Fortunately, this was indeed effective at fighting the tripods.
Buford pelted the tripods with water balloons.
Likewise, Baljeet squirted them with a squirt gun.
Isabella tossed water balloons at the tripods as well.
Irving tossed a water balloon of his own.
"Fighting aliens is so exciting!" exclaimed the boy.
"Just be careful." warned Kim.
Camille and Gill also helped, tripping the tripods with their abnormally large tongues.
It felt strange working alongside them for a change, but they did have a common enemy. They were chaotic and the Doctor was lawful evil. And they had standards against what she was doing.
Eventually, all the tripods had been shut down.
"Yes! We won!" cheered Buford.
However, there was good news and bad news.
Suddenly, the engines on the Doctor's battleship ignited.
"Oh no! The ship is taking off!" exclaimed Isabella.
"It's alright. We already know where they're headed." explained Kim.
"And we do have that portal that can take us back to Earth." noted Baljeet.
On the battleship, the two Lorwardians were discussing their attack plan.
They might as well since it would take some time before they arrived on Earth.
"How are we going to stop Dr. Drakken from taking down our tripods?" asked Conkerer. He figured it would be best to talk strategy even if they had the means to mind control Earth.
She knew how the scientist had managed to topple them, though he didn't topple Warmonga and Warhok themselves. Ron Stoppable had done that with his mystical monkey power.
Nevertheless, who would have thought his formula could take down the tripods? They had been effective at combating Earth's tanks.
"Well, we do have that mind control plant." pointed out Conquesta. It might be enough to give them the upper hand against him.
However, he just might be immune to its effects given his plant powers.
"It's true. We do have that plant. But I figure we should stay on the safe side." advised the ninja alien. They did not want history to repeat itself.
They had been surprisingly successful in taking down Ron though. The mystical monkey power didn't make you invincible after all.
However, it appeared that he was inexperienced with it.
"Don't worry. I've rebuilt some of the tripods, so they shoot out fire." explained the alien with the hammer.
These tripods were colored orange.
They wouldn't have to worry about flowers anymore. They would be burned to a crisp.
Though chances are they were strong enough to break free if they ended up being grappled by them themselves.
Warmonga and Warhok had been strong enough, after all. Though they hadn't been strong enough to withstand Ron's mystical monkey power.
"That ought to do it!" exclaimed Conkerer. It seemed his partner thought of everything.
"Personally, I wonder if he truly was the Great Blue." questioned Conquesta. She didn't know any other humans that had blue skin. Though she knew two humans that had yellow skin of different shades. One of which had bested her in combat.
It seemed possible. After all, she got the feeling that sock puppet had just been a hoax. What were the chances of the Great Blue being one?
"Maybe. But haven't we already found someone that can help us with our conquests?" asked Conkerer.
"It's true, we have." nodded the female warrior.
So perhaps they didn't need to delve into their mythology to find more ways to conquer planets.
The battleship arrived on Earth.
"I have to admit, I've been looking forward to this!" exclaimed the Doctor.
She was currently drinking a smoothie.
This planet was indeed full of carbon dioxide. She would have all the dioxide she would ever need. She'd be able to conquer whatever planet she wanted.
"I have been looking forward to this as well." nodded Conquesta.
Perhaps they would be able to succeed where Warmonga and Warhok had failed, seeing as they had a mind control plant at their side this time around.
That would be a pleasant sight.
The Doctor activated the carbon dioxide draining machine.
Soon she would have all the carbon dioxide she would ever need.
And then the sky would be the limit.
Or should she say outer space?
To be honest, she liked outer space better.
She had landed on Pennsylvania.
Back on Earth…
As before, Agent P was called for a mission.
However, he had more to worry about than an evil pharmacist this time. One that had an obsession with taking over the Tri-State Area.
This time the entire world was at stake.
Aliens simply would not leave Earth alone.
"I'm afraid we have terrible news; Agent P. Aliens are trying to take over our planet." explained Major Monogram.
"Hasn't that happened once before?" asked Carl.
There had been an alien invasion during Kim Possible's graduation ceremony. The aliens had cut off the power, which caused people to panic after a while.
And the aliens simply would not let grudges go.
Ron Stoppable had saved the day, thank goodness. But it made one wonder if the Earth should prepare itself for threats like this. Perhaps they should ask Meap if any of his people would like to defend Earth. Chances are they could also shoot energy beams from their mouths. And people didn't feel afraid of them, so they wouldn't hestitate to invite them to their planet.
"Yes, this has happened before. But this time we have more than just Lorwardians to worry about." continued the major.
"Really? Who else is invading the Earth?" questioned the boy with the glasses.
Perry was curious himself.
"Someone calling herself the Super Super Big Doctor." explained Major Monogram.
"I guess she has a super super big ego." noted Carl.
Perry noted to himself that he might need his fellow agents to help him handle the situation.
He got the feeling there were tough fighters on the enemies' side. After all, Lorwardians were known for their fearsome strength. Kim Possible couldn't take on two of them by herself. Even if she was wearing her battlesuit.
And there might be tripods as well. He couldn't punch metal with his bare hands. That would hurt.
"We shall warn every one of our agents of this crisis." explained Major Monogram.
Perry nodded.
They would all want to know about this.
At Professor Dementor's base…
Atrosis spent her time watering the plant that she had gotten in the mail.
However, as she did so, she noticed some of the minions were acting strange.
They appeared to be in a trance of some kind.
"Hmm, something strange is going on." questioned the blonde.
What could have put them in that trance, she wondered?
It was a mystery.
Then she remembered the strange plant.
She decided to take a closer look at it.
"Hmm, something tells me this might be a mind control plant." noted Atrosis.
It didn't look like any plant that grew on Earth, now that she thought of it.
Perhaps it was from outer space.
That would explain why it said it was from someone who was out of this world.
Seemed this alien had a sense of humor.
A bad sense of humor.
"Maybe instead of watering it I should send it to Dr. Drakken." remarked the blonde.
It would be one way to eliminate the competition.
He couldn't exactly compete with them while he was in a trance, could he?
So, she wrapped it up in a package and sent it to Drakken's lair.
Shortly afterward, the minions began to snap out of their trances.
"I guess my theory was right." noted Atrosis.
Professor Dementor showed up.
"Somebody sent us a mind control plant, but I sent it to Dr. Drakken." explained Atrosis.
"Who sent it to us?" asked the professor.
"It seems like it was sent from outer space, so it probably wasn't Dr. Drakken himself." noted Dementor's assistant.
Suddenly, Myron came by with some bad news.
"Myron! You violated my restraining order!" bellowed Professor Dementor.
"I'm sorry! But aliens have been spotted near the White House!" explained Myron.
"In zat case, maybe I can forgive you for violating ze restraining order...just zis once." noted the professor.
"Phew!" exclaimed Dementor's brother-in-law.
"I'm sure he'll warm up to you eventually, I know how fast he warmed up to me." assured Atrosis.
Meanwhile, at Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated…
"Oh no! Aliens are about to invade the Earth!" exclaimed Dr. Doofenshmirtz.
He had seen the news reports.
The evil scientist with the hunched back pressed his hands against the side of his head.
Additionally, sweat was coming down his face.
It looked like someone else was going to conquer the Tri-State Area before him.
Which was a weird feeling since nobody else seemed interested in conquering that area. Dr. Drakken had tried to take over the world, however.
"Please don't tell me I'm going to get abducted by aliens again…" spoke Dr. Drakken. It had made his mother worried about him, for one. She kept a very close eye on him after that.
It was lucky that he had developed plant powers, or he might have never been able to escape their grasp. It was surprisingly useful for destroying machines.
"Well, you'd probably be one of their biggest threats." admitted Shego.
She remembered how he had managed to take down the Lorwardian tripods.
That formula of his hadn't helped him take over the world, but it had certainly helped him save it.
The Lorwardians did not see it coming.
"I heard about how you saved the world. It was totally awesome!" exclaimed Dr. Doofenshmirtz.
Though he had once saved Danville from his second-dimension counterpart. It turned out that version of himself was eviler than he himself was. Hence 2nd Dimension Doofenshmirtz roboticizing 2nd Dimension Perry the Platypus.
"I know. It was an unusual experience for me." noted Dr. Drakken.
"You went from trying to conquer the world to saving it. What is the world coming to, anyway?" asked Shego.
Dr. Drakken shrugged.
Vanessa was personally reminded of a book that she had read.
Martians decided to pay Earth a visit, and the poor inhabitants of Earth suffered.
Luckily, the common cold was enough to drive them off.
Talk about irony.
Something told her that wasn't going to be enough to drive them off in this case, however.
She would like to think that there was a weakness that could be used against the invaders, but they hadn't discovered it.
"Ribbit?" asked Newt.
"Yes, I do read science fiction sometimes." confirmed Vanessa.
Sometimes she needed a break from horror novels.
Although, it was possible for those two genres to overlap.
"Ribbit?" questioned the frog. Had she ever read Princess and the Frog?
"Yes, I have. I bet you like that book." noted Vanessa.
Newt nodded.
It made him feel like he had a bright future ahead of him.
Though it also helped that he had a loving owner.
He hadn't been expecting to be adopted by a girl (he was expecting girls would find him gross), but he did not judge.
Suddenly, a package arrived on the mail.
"What's this?" asked Doofenshmirtz.
It was from "Mellow Yellow".
"Oh boy! This sounds exciting!" exclaimed the hunchback.
It appeared to be a plant of some kind.
"I wonder if it's friends with Planty the Potted Plant." questioned Dr. Doofenshmirtz.
It seemed possible.
This plant was alien in appearance, however.
Did Planty have friends from outer space?
At Jeremy's house…
"Candace sure has been gone for a while." noted Jeremy.
It made him wonder if anything had happened to her.
The very thought made him feel troubled.
He had decided to ask her friend Stacy, but she hadn't heard from her either.
This made him feel even more worried.
Should he try asking Candace's brothers next? They didn't always get along, but it was worth a try.
Suzy wondered what was going on herself.
But she wasn't too worried personally.
Now she didn't have to worry about Candace taking Jeremy away from her.
Did she go to outer space by any chance?
She knew her brothers went there sometimes. They had been to all sorts of places.
Oddly enough, her brothers didn't seem worried that Jeremy would take their sister away from them.
She wondered why.
Suzy considered scaring Buford, but she hadn't seen him lately.
It seemed like he had gone on a trip somewhere.
Where was he?
Back on Earth…
Fortunately, it hadn't taken them long to locate the portal that would send them back.
Which was good, because time was of the essence.
They didn't know how long they had until the plant started to affect Danville.
From what they knew about it, the plant could spread its spores to an entire planet.
The cowards were naturally fascinated by Earth.
It made them glad that they had come out of their shell and decided to explore outer space.
They would want to get back home sooner or later, however.
"It's good to be back home." noted Candace.
"I know, but it's a bit too early to be celebrating. The planet is in danger of being conquered." reminded Kim.
"Yeah, I'd hate to live in a world under a despot's control." noted Baljeet.
"Maybe we're lucky that Dr. Drakken's cranium rinse wasn't so successful." remarked Wade.
"He did say he wasn't a corporate shyster." spoke Vivian.
It appeared that even mad scientists had standards.
"To think this all started because she got annoyed with her brothers." noted Candace.
"I know. I have annoying brothers but I'm trying to save the world, not conquer it." replied Kim.
They weren't sure where her battleship had landed, but Kim was pretty sure that Earth was going to be experiencing the effects of Mama shortly.
"We should probably head to Drakken's lair." noted Ron.
They could use his help.
"Maybe we could also head to Professor Dementor's base?" asked Wade.
He had a superpowered sidekick of his very own, after all.
She would be very helpful to them.
Little did they know, she had taken on a Lorwardian herself and won.
Though she had gotten rather lucky in that fight.
Still, if Shego learned about that, her mind would be blown.
"I have to admit, you seem to encounter your fair share of mad scientists." noted Irving.
"I've also met scientists that aren't evil. Though Cyrus Bortel might want to consider thinking before acting." suggested Kim.
His inventions could indeed be very harmful in the wrong hands.
She remembered the time she had a mind control chip stuck to her head.
It made her feel crazy, thinking that Dr. Drakken was the most handsome man on the earth.
Shego had experienced it too...but she found it boring at worst.
It seemed unlikely that Dr. Drakken would use them again, however. Seeing as he had tasted Shego's wrath.
'Where are the aliens, anyway?" asked Camille.
"I want to take the fight to them!" exclaimed Gill.
"I'm sure you'll get your chance, but we can't rush in unprepared." warned Kim.
Once they were ready, they would strike.
It looks like the invasion of Earth has begun!
And unfortunately, the citizens of Earth will be helpless to resist the spores' effects. It's amazing what one plant can do.
This might very well be the best plan that the Lorwardians have thought of.
And again, heroes and villains will be banding together.
